completed
step
up
in
the
year
2020
and
what's
important
about
that
and
what's
going
to
matter
is
it
sits
on
your
resume
for
the
rest
of
your
career
and
also,
as
you
look
in
the
mirror,
you're
going
to
be
able
to
say
that,
in
spite
of
incredible
obstacles,
you've
had
to
make
a
lot
of
sacrifice.
So

people

working
with
or
for
but
the
fact
the
matter
is
you
made
it?

Although
kovid
interrupted
a
critical
period
of
intern
preparation
over
1800
minneapolis
youth
completed
the
comprehensive
work
and
readiness
training
certified
by
the
minneapolis
regional
chamber
of
commerce
of
those
1800
450
students
were
able
to
find
jobs
at
61
companies
here
in
the
twin
cities,
since
its
founding
in
2003,
step
up
has
created
over
28,
000
internships,
and
we
know,
step
up
is
both
targeted
and
effective.
In

approach.

year
we
were
unsure
how
the
pandemic
would
affect
our
partners
and
their
ability
to
employ
a
talented
group
of
young
entrepreneurs,
but
not
to
anyone,
surprised
they
stuck
to
their
commitment
and
made
sure
these
young
individuals
didn't
go
without
a
job.
They
instead
said
come
be
a
part
of
our
team
and
we
will
navigate
the
new
way
of
business
together,
step
up
partners.
Don't
just
talk
about
inclusive
economic
growth,
they're
helping
make
it
happen
with
a
coalition
of
partners
spanning
15
industries
and
multiple
sectors.
A
Step
up
is
the
largest
and
most
enduring
program
of
its
kind
in
our
region.
It's
a
backbone
of
support
that
unites
businesses,
schools,
nonprofits
and
the
city
together
in
a
common
goal
to
build,
strengthen
and
inclusively,
grow
our
future
economy
and
the
talented
youth
who
will
power
it
at
a
time
when
we
have
an
enormous
equity
gap
and
a
shocking
regional
workforce
shortage
step
up
is
a
solution
to
both
step-up
interns
are
the
future
leaders
of
our
region's
workforce.

One
thing
I
enjoyed
the
most
out
of
my
summer,
internship
with
step
up,
would
be
working
with
the
people
that
I
did.
They
were
super
helpful
understanding
and
was
always
there
to
teach
me
something
new
and
they
always
asked
about
what
I
wanted
to
learn
and
what
I
wanted
to
get
out
of
this
experience,
which
was
honestly
the
best
thing
ever.

taught
me
what
I
wanted
to

yeah.
It
was

such
a
great.
I
We
have
over

000
students
who
are
engaged
and
step
up
this
summer,
and
that
is
not
a
small
feast
and
it
did
not
go
without
challenges.
We
worked
incredibly
hard
to
run
this
summer.
I
would
just
like
to
say

our
interns
who
are
working
in
community.
You
were
resilient.
You
are
bright.
You
are
talented,
thank
you
for
being
a
part

up
this
