The
piece
was
intended
to
be
a
kind
of
blurring
between
landscape
architecture,
urbanism
sculpture.
My
work
is
really
not
about
telling
a
story.
It's
really
about
creating
a
visceral
feeling
and
a
kind
of
emotional
response.
Hopefully
that's
so
powerful
that
it
moves.
Someone
to
you
know,
remember
it
5
10
15
years
in
the
future.
A
You
know
the
piece
creates
an
oculus,
so
it's
really
about
how
it's
creating
relationship
with
the
the
seating
below,
but
also
the
cantilevered
roof
of
the
library
above
working
with
that
space
to
create,
on
the
one
hand,
a
kind
of
dynamic
figure
that
is,
could
be
thought
of
really,
as
a
performer
in
and
of
itself
in
terms
of
creating
this
kind
of
levitating
dynamic
form
within
the
landscape.
But
on
the
other
hand,
it's
about
creating
a
kind
of
envelope
of
light
around
that
performance.
Space
and
all
of
those
lights
are
programmable.
Leds.
A
Most
of
my
work
is
really
in
the
public
domain.
That's
important
to
me
again
because
I'm
not
really
interested
in
the
esoteric
nature
of
the
gallery.
The
work,
that's
in
the
city
which
is
experienced
by
everyone,
that's
really
important
to
me,
and
so
this
project
is
right
in
the
heart
of
the
city.
It's
gonna
be
experienced
by
everyone.
So
that's
been
tested.
