From YouTube: Kitchen Fire Safety
Description
Learn how to prevent kitchen fires and what to do if there's a fire while you're cooking.
A
The
kitchen
is
the
heart
of
the
home,
but
did
you
know
it's
also
the
source
of
most
home
fires?
Many
of
these
fires
can
be
prevented
by
doing
just
a
few
simple
things.
First,
stay
in
the
kitchen
when
you're
cooking,
most
kitchen
fires
start
with
unattended
cooking
on
the
stovetop.
By
staying
in
the
kitchen,
you
can
keep
an
eye
on
what's
cooking,
so
it
doesn't
boil
over
boil
down
or
catch
fire,
and
if
a
fire
does
start
you're
right
there
to
put
it
out
before
it
spreads.
A
If
a
fire
starts
in
a
pan
put
it
out
by
sliding
a
tight-fitting
lid
over
the
pan
and
turning
off
the
heat,
you
can
also
use
a
home
fire
extinguisher.
It's
a
good
idea
to
have
one
in
your
kitchen.
You
can
purchase
a
fire
extinguisher
at
a
hardware
store,
but
never
carry
a
flaming
pan
to
the
sink
and
never
use
water
to
try
to
extinguish
a
grease
fire.
If
the
fire
spreads
get
out
quickly
and
call
911
the
oven,
you
should
be
home
and
awake.
