A
A
A
B
Welcome
to
Randy
and
Daryl,
my
fellow
colleagues
at
the
City
of
Minneapolis
always
great
to
have
you
on
air
with
us.
A
Whether
it
be
housing
issue
3-1-1
or
anything
in
the
City
of
Minneapolis,
welcome
to
the
both
of
you.
Thank
you
for
having
us
among
radio
wixk
question
for
Randy.
Can
you
help
us
tell
a
little
bit
about
your
role
with
this
work?
Absolutely.
C
D
C
Yeah,
so
if
you
need
to
report
an
issue
or
find
information
on
the
City
of
Minneapolis,
we
can
either
assist
you
or
point
you
in
the
right
direction
of
who
you
need
to
speak
with.
We
have
a
large
database
of
information
that
we
pull
information
from
and
we
generally
can
assist
people
in
most
things,
but
we
are
have
the
ability
to
get
in
touch
with
the
experts
in
the
city.
D
A
C
So
you
can
call
311
or
612-673-3000
to
speak
with
a
representative
and
we
do
have
language
interpreter
services,
so
we
are
able
to
get
in
touch
with
an
interpreter,
bring
them
on
the
line
to
be
able
to
assist
you
with
any
issue.
So
not
speaking,
English
well
is
not
a
hindrance
to
contacting
us
at
3-1-1.
You
can
also
email
us
at
minneapolis311
at
minneapolismn.gov.
C
We
do
have
a
texting,
Feature
Feature
as
well.
You
can
text
three
one.
One,
eight
nine
eight
and
that
is
more
of
a
database
search
or
like
a
information
search,
will
prove
you'll,
get
a
response
with
information.
You
won't
actually
be
speaking
with
an
agent.
Finally,
for
our
hearing,
impaired
residents
or
visitors,
we
do
have
a
tdd
and
TTY
Services.
You
can
reach
us
at
612-263-6850.
D
D
D
C
Yeah,
so
our
agents
are
trained
to
answer
questions
by
searching
the
database
I
mentioned,
so
we
can
often
answer
very
simple
questions
and
if
we
can't
answer
them,
we
get
you
in
touch
with
the
city
Department
that
can.
There
are
some
situations
where
we
just
take
the
report
like
potholes
or
traffic,
light
issues
or
rental
property
complaints.
These
are
things
where
we
submit
service
requests
to
those
departments,
and
then
the
resolving
department
will
respond.
C
Yeah,
so
colors
can
expect
to
hear
a
recording.
It
is
going
to
be
in
English
and
it
will
explain
that
you're
contacting
3-1-1
it'll,
give
English
and
Spanish
speakers
the
opportunity
to
use
our
ivr,
but
we
do
have
Hmong
Services
as
well,
which
will
be
a
phone
tree
by
choosing
option.
Four.
B
Hear
a
demonstrations
of
what
it
sounds
like
when
and
what
people
should
say
when.
E
F
F
C
Yes,
so
our
phone
system
is
not
designed
to
limit
interactions
with
our
311
agents.
We
do
try
to
provide
information
that
may
answer
your
questions
ahead
of
time
before
speaking
to
an
agent,
but
absolutely
you
can
contact
us
at
3-1-1
to
speak
to
an
agent
at
any
time.
D
C
Unfortunately,
the
integrated
voice
recognition
system,
the
ivr
system-
is
not
able
to
process
the
Hmong
language
at
this
point,
so
they
it
is
a
touch
tone
service.
So,
unfortunately,
right
now
the
technology
isn't
there
quite
yet,
but
hopefully
eventually
we
will
be
able
to
integrate
the
Hmong
language
into
our
ivr
system.
A
D
A
Thank
you
for
being
with
us
today.
Please
introduce
yourself,
I
have
a
few
questions
for
you.
G
Thank
you
and
thank
you
for
having
me
and
it's
great
to
be
here.
I
am
Daryl
Spears
I
am
a
rental
housing,
a
liaison
with
the
City
of
Minneapolis.
We
work
on
any
questions,
concerns
comments
that
residents
have.
D
G
Mediation,
retaliation,
complaints,
providing
referrals
to
community-based
resources
and
we're
not
direct
service
providers,
but
we
are
there
to
help
people
navigate
through
tough
situations.
D
G
Right
now,
there's
a
rollout
of
the
Renters
Rights
Campaign
and
that
website
includes
updates
and
they
outline
that
many
renters
will
have
in
terms
of
issues.
Those
include
screening
criteria,
individual
assessments.
G
And
and
if
you're
and
if
you're
being
evicted
for
non-payment
of
rent,
it's
important
to
know
that
the
property
owner
is
required
to
give
you
notice
within
in
14
days,
a
14-day
notice
in
advance.
And
he
must
include
the
total
amount
due
and
and
possible
resources
that
a
resident
can
find
for
legal
and
financial
assistance.
G
And
I'm
so
glad
we
have
Randy
from
three
on
one
on,
because
the
first
place
to
start
is
3-1-1
and
at
3-1-1
they
can
call
in
a
complaint.
They
can
request
an
inspector
to
come
out
and
if
there
are
code
violations
they
can
tell
them
what
they
think
the
code
violations
are.
G
And
if
the
inspector
comes
out
or
should
I
should
say
once
the
inspector
comes
out,
you
can
point
out
the
resident
can
point
out
what's
what
their
concerns
are
and
if,
if
they
are
uncomfortable
doing
it
in
person
with
the
with
either
the
property
owner,
if
they're
there
or
with
the
inspector,
they
can
call
them
because
they'll
be
given
the
inspector's
phone
number
and
information
or
they
can
email
or
text
them.
Also.
G
And,
and
just
because
that
that
component
is
done,
and
you
still
may
experience
retaliation,
you
have
options.
Also,
we
often
work
with
and
and
will
refer
to
home
line
to
Legal
Aid
and
the
volunteer
lawyers
Network
home
lines
number
is
612
-728-5767.
G
And
the
Minnesota,
the
Minnesota
attorney
general's
office
publishes
a
free
booklet
and
you
can
get
it
online
also,
and
it's
called
the
landlord
and
tenants
rights
and
responsibilities.
That
is
a
great
resource
and
can
answer
questions.
G
This
and
more
information
is
also
available
on
the
website:
Minneapolis
dot,
gov
backslash
renters
hashtag
rates.
G
Or
you
can
also
just
go
to
the
city's
website,
the
city's
website
and
search
for
renters
rights.
D
B
Is
that
privacy
issue
does
311
tell
the
landlord
that
the
tenant
the
renter
call
them,
or
is
that
anonymous.
G
A
G
The
city
inspectors
in
the
City
of
Minneapolis,
we
are
not
and
I'm
going
to
say
that
the
City
of
Minneapolis
and
the
inspectors
are
not
concerned
about
immigration
status.
The
real
concern
is
what
is
in
your
dwelling,
in
your
apartment
or
in
your
home
and
what
is
safe
and
what
is
unsafe.
This
everyone,
everyone
who
rents
in
the
City
of
Minneapolis,
has
a
right
to
safe
and
livable
housing.
D
B
G
If,
if
they've,
if
they
believe
that
they
need
some
assistance,
they
can
contact
legal
aid
and
their
number
once
again
is
612-334-5970.
G
D
B
There
anything
else
that
you
would
like
our
listeners
among
listeners
to
know
about
the
resource
that
is
available.
A
At
your
your
department,
we
talked
about
3-1-1,
we
talked
about
the
legal
aid,
we're
talking
about
home
line.
We
talked
about
volunteer
lawyers
Network.
A
G
Yes,
first
I
want
to
go
back
in
in
the
website,
should
be
Minneapolis,
mn.gov,
backslash,
renters
rights.
G
We're
we're
we're
continually
working
in
developing
relationships
with
other
community
organizations
that
may
have
access
to
resources
and
other
resources.
I.E
like
the
Salvation
Army,
we
make.
We
have
discussion
with
discussions
with
Hennepin,
County
and
other
others,
places
that
have
resources
where
we
can
try
to
connect
people.
D
H
A
G
G
We
have
open
streets,
Cedar
Riverside,
which
is
on
August
20th.
G
And
there
the
last
one
of
the
season
is
open
streets
Lindale
on
October,
8th
and,
let's
hope
it
doesn't
snow.
