35th
annual
National
Night
Out
is
Tuesday
August,
1st
organizers
and
neighborhood
gatherings
have
until
July
18
to
apply
for
a
street
or
alley
closure
for
free
after
July
18th.
The
application
fee
is
$100
through
the
26th
National
Night
Out
is
a
great
opportunity
to
connect
with
neighbors
and
promote
community
police
partnerships.

The
City
Council
passed
a
municipal
minimum
wage
order
in
the
unit
30th
large
businesses,
with
more
than
100
employees,
have
until
July
1st
2022
to
pay
employees
$15
an
hour
small
businesses
having
to
July
1st
2024
to
reach
the
target
wage.
The
vote
comes
after
months
of
debate
and
discussion
across
the
city.
An
increase
to
$15
an
hour
will
benefit
71
thousand
workers
in
Minneapolis
city
appraisers
will
be
out,
knocking
on
doors
in
several
Minneapolis
neighborhoods
to
conduct
official
reviews
of
residential
properties.
State
law
requires
appraisers
to
look
at
all
properties
in
the
city.

every
five
years,
appraisers
will
look
at
exteriors
of
properties
and
might
have
to
go
inside
homes
to
verify
property
information.

water.

trees,
Minneapolis
yard
and
Boulevard
trees
need
an
inch
of
water
every
week
through
the
fall.
Lack
of
water
can
make
trees
vulnerable
to
insects
and
disease
turn
a
slow
stream
of
water
on
the
tree
for
a
few
hours
in
the
evening
during
dry
conditions
