voting
for
the
August
14th
primary
starts
June
29th.
The
city's
early
voting
Center
is
located
at
217
South
3rd
Street
in
downtown
Minneapolis.
The
primary
election
will
determine
which
candidates
advance
to
the
general
election
in
November.
The
2018
election
includes
races
for
governor
US,
Senate,
US
House
and
the
Minneapolis
school
board.

A
Demolition
has
started
on
the
parking
garage
diagonally
across
from
City
Hall
to
make
way
for
the
city's
new
public
service
building.
The
demolition
is
expected
to
take
about
three
months.
The
new
public
service
building
will
strategically
co-locate
employees
working
in
several
sites
downtown
and
provide
better
service
for
residents
and
businesses.
It
is
scheduled
to
open
the
fall
of
2020
carry
on
homes,
an
interactive
public
art
installation
made
by
this
year's
creative
City
challenge.
