The
Year
is
off
to
a
wintry
start
with
historic
snowfall
to
keep
the
city
accessible
for
everyone.
Please
clear
your
sidewalks
of
snow
and
ice
all
winter
with
at
least
10
snow
events
each
year
that
could
include
freezing
rain
to
blizzards,
hitting
sidewalks
with
snow
or
ice.
This
makes
it
difficult
to
get
by
people
living
in
one
and
two
family
dwellings.
You
have
24
hours
after
the
snow
ends
to
clear
your
sidewalks.
A
All
other
properties
must
clear,
sidewalks
within
four
hours
visit
the
city's
website
for
more
details
on
snow
clearing,
the
Minneapolis,
Animal,
Care
and
Control.
Now
has
a
record-setting
number
of
pets
in
need
of
adopting
the
Animal
Welfare
division
is
now
at
capacity.
They
need
your
help
to
find
new
homes
or
Foster
families
for
its
adoptable
animals.
All
adoptions
fees
are
waived.
The
animals
will
be
completely
vaccinated,
sterilized
and
microchipped,
and
ready
to
go
search.

A
Luther
King
Jr
Day,
the
city
service
center
will
be
closed
for
in-person
services
for
the
federal
holiday
on
Monday
January,
the
16th.
However,
all
services
will
be

online.
