Lake
Calhoun
in
Southwest
Minneapolis
has
been
officially
renamed
to
bidet
macaca,
the
original
Dakota
name
for
the
city's
largest
lake.
The
change
was
approved
and
finalized
by
the
Minnesota
DNR
in
January.
The
state
has
also
requested
the
change
for
federal
use
with
the
US
Board
of
Geographic
Names.
The
Minnesota
Department
of
Transportation
has
begun
construction
on
interstate
35w
between
43rd
Street
and
downtown
Minneapolis.
The
construction
which
includes
Road
bridge
and
ramp
reconstruction
and
a
new
transit
station
at
Lake
Street,
is
expected
to
be
complete
in
late
2021
visit
MnDOT

for
construction

in
2017.
A
More
than
nine
point,
six
million
pounds
of
leftover
food
scraps
paper,
towels
pizza
boxes
and
more
were
collected
in
the
city's
curbside
organics
recycling
program,
solid
wastes
and
recycling.

up

receive
an
organics
recycling,
cart
for
more
City
