The way I imagine minneapolis, I imagine, a community, I imagine a sense of belonging, I imagine where individuals feel valued and they feel heard. I grew up with that notion that your community was your safety, but from being american and living in the western society. It's the opposite.

We have people with guns to deal with everything from like mental health crises to traffic stops. I think that that just doesn't make sense. I imagine a world in which we can all show up fully as ourselves without concern for our safety having.

Somebody with the same background, come to uh handle the situation. I think that will help a lot.

Imagine minneapolis rate of gun violence, let's get to work and help our community build it back up to what it once was. The fact.

That we have this unarmed emergency service makes me feel really hopeful. I think it's a step in the right direction and.

To know that someone will come to your aid and someone will understand your problems.

Our work is to turn these ideas into a reality by reimagining public safety. There's great value in things like violence, interrupters, our new behavioral health unit. We all have to put everything we have into creating safer communities.
