A
B
You
mayor
just
a
couple
of
quick
items
here,
you
probably
noticed
North
Broad,
LCI
projects,
kind
of
getting
to
wrap-up
stages,
they're
striping
and
a
few
other
punch
list
items
right
now.
We've
probably
have
a
couple
more
months
of
work
left
on
that
project,
just
the
small
things
here
and
there
maybe
a
little
driveway
repairs,
but
overall
that's
drawing
to
a
close
whispering.
B
The
long
project
is
hitting
punch-list
status
now,
as
you
know,
we've
had
some
issues
with
the
contractor,
but
as
of
now,
all
the
drainage
issues
that
we've
had
and
seen
on,
West
Spring
should
be
completely
remediated
so
that
that's
in
place
now
we'll
start
hit
the
punch
list
and
just
repair
some
issues
that
have
occurred
over
the
last
couple
years.
Cracking
here
and
there.
B
This
past
week,
actually,
the
last
two
weeks
met
with
a
lot
of
folks
from
G
dot,
along
with
Darryl
stone
from
the
planning
office
in
Atlanta
and
district
1,
and
we
have
a
full
slate
of
projects.
All
ours
are
on
Monroe
right
now,
looking
at
traffic
relief
in
a
variety
of
areas,
whether
it
be
West,
Spring,
Street,
highway,
11
at
78,
and
everything
in
between
so
there's
a
lot.
That's
on
the
radar,
whether
it's
a
programmed
or
planned
project
now
or
something
we're
working
on
for
the
future
in
the
next
few
years.
C
C
B
C
B
E
Thank
you,
sir.
Pretty
much
business
as
usual
in
September
with
the
lack
of
rain,
there's
a
little
bit
less
to
be
cut,
so
the
crews
actually
spent
a
lot
of
time
at
cemeteries
and
right.
Aways
whatnot
picking
up
trash
I
actually
picked
up
almost
2,400
pounds
in
the
month
of
September
between
the
three
of
them
and
I.
E
Had
one
guy
take
off
a
week
police
station,
Municipal
Court
building
right
now
we're
waiting
on
we've
got
the
RF
I
see
actually
the
invitation
to
bid
written
with
their
specs
and
plans
and
designs
and
everything
that
we've
approved.
We
are
waiting
on
them
to
give
us
the
go-ahead
to
issue
that
out,
so
we
can
start
receiving
bids
a
little
bit
behind
I
hadn't
heard
anything
back
from
them,
but
it's
also
a
lot
of
pages
for
them
to
go
through
and
make
sure
we're
covered
on
all
bases.
E
Last
thing
fall,
newsletter
went
out
on
September,
3rd
and
I
had
sent
this
email
to
RV
and
Logan
knows.
We've
actually
got
a
photographer
that
we're
kind
of
working
with
right
now
who's
going
around
to
different
events,
he's
working
with
Sadie
downtown
economic
development
attending.
He
attended
our
first
concert
on
the
town,
green
and
then
he'll
be
at
Fall
Fest,
some
other
things
with
the
Playhouse.
The
art
guild.
E
A
B
Mr.
Hedgecock
miss
Thompson
is
down
at
the
ggf
Oh
a
officers
annual
conference
I
was
there
yesterday,
it's
very
beneficial
meeting
we're
getting
our
CPE
training
in
for
the
year
real
quickly
on
the
the
general
fund.
Just
wanted
to
know
that
we've
already
drawn
down
the
Stabilization
Fund,
which
is
not
a
good
thing.
We
hit
that
about
a
month
earlier
than
we
normally
do,
and
that
is
primarily
due
to
our
high
health
insurance
claims
that
have
been
hitting
us
this
year.
It's
been
a
really
tough
claims
year
so
far,
but
the
good
news
is
we've.
B
We've
hit
some
of
our
reinsurance
deductibles,
so
hopefully
it'll
start
tailing
off.
In
the
meantime,
we're
now
waiting
on
the
property
tax
payments
to
come
in
from
the
Tax
commissioner's
office,
and
that
will
just
rebuild
that
back
up
along
with
the
insurance
premium
tax
we
easily
get
around
the
15th
of
this
month
will
help
rebuild
those
coffers
when
it
snowed
on
the
general
fund,
we're
running
about
62%
on
our
expenditures,
which
is
about
two
percent
better
than
budget,
which
is
kind
of
where
we've
been
for
the
last
couple
of
years.
B
You
know
I
said
a
couple
months
ago,
when
we
talked
about
millage
rates,
etc.
We've
been
walking
that
Tiger
out
for
a
little
while
so
we're
still
doing
well
and
still
staying
under
budget
overall
in
the
general
fund.
The
utilities
is
doing
extremely
well
right
now,
although
you
know
we
have
not
completed
a
lot
of
our
big
repair
projects
that
we've
got
going
forward,
but
our
operating
budget
is
stable
and
doing
well
right
now
in
solid
waste,
much
the
same
training
books
right
now
for
the
year
happy
to
take
any
questions.
E
I
cheated
a
little
bit
the
numbers
of
the
job
got
in
front
of
here
about
a
week
old
and
I
went
ahead
and
pulled
month
of
September.
We
actually
had
the
second
biggest
fuel
cell
month
that
we've
had
since
we
opened
the
fuel
farm
August
of
2015.
We
ended
up
with
a
little
world,
just
shy
of
3,200
gallons
for
the
month,
so
it
was
a
good
producing
month
for
the
airport.
Once
again,
no
rain
people
fly.
E
Engineer
an
update,
we've
had
staffs,
had
several
meetings
with
Goodwin
Mills
and
K
wood,
our
new
airport
engineers
and
consultants
everything's
went
great.
It's
essentially
been
a
fact-finding
kind
of
a
mission
with
them,
so
they
could
learn
the
history
of
what
we've
done
kind
of
where
we
come
from
where
our
overall
goals
are
to
get
to.
In
the
next
couple,
two
three
four
five
years,
we
actually
have
our
first
committee
meeting
with
GMC
present
October
16
I
changed
the
date
just
because
of
conflicts
between
them
and
staff
and
whatnot.
E
Projects
pretty
much
all
holding
Pat
and
then
last
thing.
110
airports
record
attempt
that
I
had
sent
an
email
out
and
now
y'all
probably
saw
it
on
Facebook
Dan,
more
actually
set
out
to
land
at
110
airports,
commemoration
of
September
11th.
He
did
not
make
110,
but
he
did
hit
92
which
broke
the
world
record
and
Monroe
was
number
79.
He
got
here
about
10
minutes
before
9
o'clock,
that
night
at
about
70
or
80
people
present,
so
that
was
kind
of
a
cool
event.
I
think
it's
it's
kind
of
a
special
event.
E
E
Yeah
we
just
typical
every
two
years
we
have
to
reapply
for
airport
license
as
a
public
Airport
operation,
and
we
just
received
our
license
for
the
next
two
years.
That
always
shows
that
you're
in
compliance
that
you're
doing
everything
that
you're
supposed
to
be
doing
as
a
municipal
held
and
municipal
run
Airport.
So
that's
always
a
good
thing.
You
don't
want
to
not
get
it
and
we've
always
got
okay.
E
A
was
last
Wednesday,
Thursday
Friday
mr.
Garrett
actually
was
the
only
member
that
was
able
to
attend.
I
had
conflicts
and
one
able
to,
and
it
was
a
good
event.
Our
engineers
were
present.
It's
just
it's
kind
of
an
update
of
what's
going
on
in
the
aviation
industry,
things
that
are
coming
coming
before
you
things
that
you're
gonna
have
to
look
out
for
in
the
future.
Okay.
G
A
I
Thank
you.
Mr.
dickerson
just
want
to
highlight
August
report,
our
collection,
China
sure,
was
pretty
much
steady.
The
deposit
of
that
transfer
station
came
in
and
it
was
7,000
tons,
and
that
was
an
increase
of
over
800
times
for
the
month
of
August.
Compared
to
last
year,
we
did
extend
the
hours
from
12:00
to
5:00
in
September
and
we
are
do
much
month.
October
will
stay
open
to
5:00
for
August.
We
generate
a
surplus
over
$7,000
and
your
today
well
over
27,000
update
on
the
projects
we've
got
done
with
the
drainage.
I
You
just
need
to
finish
up
just
in
the
site
and
tie
up
some
loose
ends.
The
tipping
floor.
We
still
working
on
some
pricing.
We
actually
talked
about
reducing
the
square
footage,
I
mean
kind
of
doing
it
in
a
sectional
manner,
but
they
raised
the
square
foot
price.
So
we
are
looking
at
another
competitor
to
try
to
help
drive
some
of
the
costs
down.
I
The
welding
is
just
a
matter
of
us
scheduling
and
getting
inside
the
building,
because
it's
been
pretty
busy
Oh
things
I
got.
We
are
going
to
launch
the
site
load
of
truck
starting
in
November.
It's
gonna
be
like
a
pilot
route
and
the
customers
that
going
to
be
impacted
will
get
a
notice
in
October
and
you
can
see
there's
a
flier
if
you
get
one
of
those
we're
coming
to
your
neighborhood
and
last
thing:
I
got
the
new
sweeper
did
arrive
and
you
can
see
the
picture,
that's
our
property.
I
H
A
A
G
It's
highlight
in
a
few
areas
from
a
report
or
you
have
it
in
front
of
you.
The
the
sign
of
marking
division
completed
69
units
a
month
during
69
units
of
work
during
the
month
of
August,
the
fleet
division,
75
and
those
are
right
on
track
for
where
they've
been
for
the
most
part
of
the
year,
I
will
highlight
some
things
we
got
going
on
right
now.
We
recently
completed,
as
mentioned
earlier,
about
the
joint
project
with
the
county
and
alko
V.
I,
reiterate
the
fact.
G
I
smooth
that
operation
went
traffic
was
a
concern,
but
we
we
did
their
own
traffic
control
within
the
city
and
it
it
was
tiresome
at
times,
but
it
was
flowing
pretty
good.
Throughout
the
day
we've
recently
had
striped
and
on
the
23rd
of
September
I
think
was
the
day
we
opened
up
the
new
four-way
intersection
at
Breedlove
and
shamrock
and
it
is
went
off
without
a
hitch.
I
hadn't
had
any
calls
or
complaints
about
that.
That
was
a
major
concern,
but
it's
been
safe.
G
I've
actually
had
several
calls
come
in
from
citizens
complimenting
the
city
being
proactive
in
that
that
it
is
now
easier
in
business
hours
to
get
off
of
Breedlove
on
to
alcove
safer.
So
I
commend
you
for
allowing
us
to
do
that.
We've
also
opened
up
the
three-way
stop
at
Midland
and
Williams
again,
no
complaints.
There
I
think
it's
they've
dug
that
intersection.
G
The
striping
has
been
completed.
We
also
restriped
my
collection
from
138
to
the
city
limits,
which
is
just
shy
of
McDaniel,
got
that
up
as
confusing
at
times
with
some
of
those
turning
lanes.
But
this
fresh
now
looks
really
good
we're
doing
some
or
have
done
some
sidewalk
repair
replacement
at
Midland
and
spring
right
there
at
LR
burger.
G
It
turned
out
really
nice
and
we
have
re-upped
at
West
Highland
to
complete
that
section
that
we've
got
there
lots
of
more
patching
that
we
will
try
to
get
done
before
the
the
winter
gets
here
which,
at
the
rate
it's
going
now
they'll
be
running
the
asphalt
in
January
I.
Don't
think
that
will
be
an
issue
as
far
as
the
availability
of
that
hot
mix,
which
will
allow
us
to
patch,
probably
longer
than
we
typically
do,
which
is
a
good
thing,
because
we
have
still
have
plenty
to
do
other
than
that.
G
G
Not
repairable
or
something
that's
been
replaced
over
the
last
couple
of
years
and
we
hadn't
we
hadn't
done
one
of
these
sales
at
this
size
in
a
while,
so
there's
more
on
here
than
what
we
would
typically
bring
before
you,
but
they,
as
you
see
on
the
item
s
numerous
from
different
departments,
the
biggest
reason
is
they've
been
replaced
or
they
are
no
longer
in
need
and
we're
just
seeking
approval
to
have
these
items
listed
on
gov
deals.
The
online
auction
for
surplus.
L
K
F
H
L
We've
had
several
things
come
up
since
I
wrote
the
report
I
want
to
go
over
with
you
the
first
one,
though,
is
we've
been
working
with
the
management
of
Southside
mobile
home
park.
Over
the
past
several
weeks.
We
actually
pull
crews
away
from
several
projects
we
were
working
on,
they
are
being
proactive.
L
There
are
27
lots
that
they're,
starting
with
in
their
first
phase,
where
they're
replacing
all
of
the
old
electrical
infrastructure
that
they
owned,
and
while
they
were
ready
to
move,
we
move
resources
over
there
to
to
make
sure
they
could
get
that
valuable
safety
work
done
in
Southside.
Moving
in
new
trailers,
it's
a
nice
project,
I
was
we
were
real
happy
that
they
they
came
forward
to
work
with
us
on
that.
Just
want
to
mention
that
and
and
thank
them
in
public.
L
Another
thing
that
just
came
up
in
the
past
couple
of
days
me
AG
will
be
replacing
some
of
the
115
poles
115
kV,
poles
that
they
did
not
replace
in
the
main
project.
We
will
be
discussing
this
project
later
on
the
Spring
Street.
When
that
MEAC
project
started,
it
was
supposed
to
be
just
to
change
a
couple
of
poles
down
Spring
Street,
and
we
worked
with
him
to
get
that
whole
span
changed
from
McDaniel
down
to
Highland.
L
There
are
about
four
or
five
more
between
Highland
and
the
substations
and
they're
going
to
do
those
in
one
offs.
So
they'll
come
in
as
that
pole
is
deemed
derelict.
They'll
change
that
one
and
they'll
change
they're
trying
to
fit
these
in
their
budget
as
they
go,
but
the
one
closest
to
the
old
Chamber
of
Commerce
will
be
changed
in
the
next
week
or
so.
I
just
got
the
locates
in
today.
L
Call
me
AG
and
admonish
them
for
not
giving
me
a
little
better
heads-up,
but
when
the
locates
came
in
I
know
they're
about
to
work.
So
we
look
at
it.
The
other
one
is
at
the
corner
of
Highland
and
Wayne.
That's
a
little
more
important
one
to
us,
because
it
does
have
traffic
concerns
to
me.
They
can
work.
Spring
Street
fairly
easily.
L
I
want
to
talk
to
me
a
little
more
about
that
and
get
a
more
precise
date
and
we'll
get
something
out
on
social
media
when
that
is
actually
going
to
happen
and
I'll
send
you
all
an
email
to
let
you
know,
there's
also
custom
concerns
with
us
with
the
water
lines
coming
out
of
the
water
tank.
We
want
to
make
sure
everything's
perfect
when
that
that
hole
is
done
and
on
a
me
AG
point
plant
Juan's
Lee,
we
have
two
plants
there,
a
gas
plant
and
a
coal
plant.
The
coal
plant
is
very
underutilized.
L
I
think
Logan
and
I
were
talking
about
the
report
this
month
by
9
or
10
percent
me
AG
is
doing
a
study
as
we
speak,
to
decide
whether
it's
cost-effective
to
stay
in
that
plant.
We
have
the
opportunity
to
exit
those
contracts
with
Georgia
Power
over
the
next
year
or
two
we're
on
a
year-to-year
cycle
with
them
and
you'll
probably
be
hearing
some
stuff
about
that
in
the
next
coming
months
from
me
and
from
me,
a
ya
we'll
also
have
a
roundtable
meeting
here.
Next
Tuesday
it
is
the
fall
roundtable
meeting,
you're
all
invited.
L
That's
it.
On
the
me
AG
front,
the
electric
department
did
win
the
Platinum
Safety
Award
from
ECG
down
at
the
ECGs
forum,
and
supervisors
are
meeting
last
week.
It's
a
step
up
from
our
regular
Gold
Award,
there's
only
one
step
higher,
that's
platinum,
and
we
see
what
we've
got.
They
told
us
what
we
need
to
address
and
that
we're
gonna
address
that
we
hope
to
get
the
Platinum
Award
next
year
and
the
last
thing
you'll
see
our
crews
working
on
highway
83
toward
the
wastewater
plant.
L
They
worked
down
there
all
day
today
or
one
of
our
crews.
We
have
a
line
that
goes
down
and
feeds
the
wastewater
treatment
plant.
It's
more
cost-effective
for
us
to
run
that
plant
on
our
wholesale
power
than
it
is
to
pay
retail
Walton
EMC.
Well,
the
subdivision
that
is
going
in
right
there
on
the
hill
before
you
get.
The
wastewater
treatment
plant
has
to
have
their
exit
right
on
the
peak
of
that
hill,
because
d-o-t
says
they
have
to
have
their
exit
right
there.
It's
a
view
some.
So
you
see
traffic
in
both
directions.
L
Well,
we
had
a
pole
sitting
right
in
the
middle
of
their
exit,
so
they
are
having
to
pay
us
to
move
that
pole.
A
problem
with
it
is
that
pole
is
a
flyover
pole.
Our
clients
fly
over
the
top
of
Walton
EMC.
So
it's
a
very
dangerous
operation,
we're
working
together
with
Walton
EMC.
We're
gonna,
kill
our
lines
tomorrow.
Everything
from
Carver
South
we're
just
going
to
do
it
and
it
in
my
telecom
guys
are
going
to
put
generators
on
all
the
power
supplies
for
the
cable
plant
down
through
there.
L
There
may
be
some
interruptions
and
Waltons
going
to
cover
up
their
stuff
and
then
we're
going
to
move.
We've
already
set
the
poles
at
the
pole
today
we're
going
to
move
the
wires
tomorrow.
If
you
see
our
trucks
working
out
in
the
county,
that's
what
they're
doing
that
kind
of
that
developer
is
paying
100%
of
the
cost
of
what's
going
on
down
there
and
that's
all
I
have
sir.
J
L
Down
to
that,
as
we
speak,
this
is
the
there's
two
items
together
and
I'll
discuss
them
separately,
but
also
together
because
they've
all
on
each
other.
This
is
the
Spring
Street
line
from
McDaniel
to
Highland.
As
I
said
a
few
seconds
ago
me
AG
has
put
the
new
concrete
poles
12
feet
over
we're
going
to
put
the
ductile
iron
poles
the
child,
approved
a
few
months
ago,
in
line
with
those
poles
further
off
the
street.
L
The
rest
of
the
materials
are
thirty,
seven
thousand
six
hundred
and
forty
eight
dollars
and
forty
cents,
and
that
comes
from
a
mixture
of
a
couple
of
providers.
Gress
CO
and
annexed
her
and
now
you'll
see
it's
a
different
budget
allocation.
We
had
a
2018
but
budget
allocation
for
another
project.
That
was
not
the
Spring
Street.
It
was
$350,000,
it
was
going
to
be
car
would
drive.
But
when
me
AG
came
up
with
this
project
for
Spring
Street,
we
discussed
not
doing
the
car
would
taking
that
money
and
doing
Spring
Street.
L
So
this
project
has
gone
over
that
three
hundred
and
fifty
thousand
dollars.
We're
gonna
have
to
take
some
out
of
the
2019,
which
is
supposed
to
be
North
Madison
and
Highland.
We're
designing
North
Madison.
Now
we're
gonna
have
to
figure
out
something
on
Highland.
That's
not
a
very
high
priority.
North
Madison
is
a
high
priority
and
we
will
figure
out
what
we
can
do
on
on
the
Highland
as
we
move
forward,
but
this
is
coming
out
of
the
2019
budget
and
it's
thirty
seven
thousand
six
hundred
forty
eight
dollars
and
forty
cents.
L
Second
item
is
the
labor.
We
bid
this
in
a
sealed
bid.
Chris
a
staff,
checker
bet
and
Chris
help
them
help
with.
Is
they
actually
did
it
for
us,
and
we
sent
this
out
to
everybody.
We
know,
plus
we
put
it
out
on
all
the
required
advertisement
in
the
paper.
Several
I
don't
know
where
all
Chris
advertises
it,
but
a
lot
of
places.
L
We
got
several
responses
from
smaller
contractors
that
this
was
just
too
complicated
a
job
for
them
to
do,
but
Utecht
mayor,
Blum,
Pirkle
and
one
of
the
ladies
said
they
couldn't
do
it
a
Pike
said
they
could
do
it
in
two
years.
That's
how
long
they
they
are
out
in
work,
and
we
got
a
built
in
from
service
electric
out
of
Chattanooga,
well
thought
of
organization
they're,
a
Quanah
company
which
was
the
holding
company
for
pike
for
many
years
of
$288,000,
even
with
a
60-day
guarantee
of
completion.
Once
they
start.
C
L
K
J
L
Sir
there's
a
mixture
of
wire
from
Highland
to
George,
Walton,
there's
some
aluminium,
there's
some
copper,
there's
some
different
sizes
and
the
best
way
I
can
explain
that
is
they've
built
these
two
circuits
over
many
years
and
knowing
and
these
things
were
built
in
the
70s
and
80s
they
used
whatever
was
on
the
art.
So
I've
got
someone
on
in
there,
which
is
real.
Small
wire
I've
got
some
four
out:
copper
I've
got
someone
out.
Aluminium
I've
got
some
336
aluminium,
it
all
needs
to
be
336
aluminium.
That
is
our
standard
conductor.
L
Since
we
are
at
7,200
volts,
you
have
to
get
too
complicated,
but
as
your
your
votes
go
up
as
your,
if
we
were
at
14
4,
we
would
be
fine
because
your
higher
the
voltage,
the
lower
the
amperage,
what
causes
heat
in
your
conductor
is
the
amperage.
We
also
bring
our
loss
down
by
bringing
in
aluminium
instead
of
copper.
I
know
that
sort
of
doesn't
sound
right,
because
copper
is
a
better
conductor,
but
every
service
to
every
building
is
aluminum,
and
if
you
have
an
aluminum
to
copper
connection,
dissimilar
metals,
you
have
a
loss.
L
C
L
Got
some
areas
of
town
that
we
have
concern
about
load
as
the
South
South
section,
South
Grove,
and
especially
this
new
project.
If
it
moves
forward,
I've
got
to
get
energy
over.
If
that
project
moves
forward,
you
don't
see
a
lot
of
projects,
I
role
in
your
in
your
direction
to
get
energy
in
those
areas.
The
other
we
have
is
one
of
the
reasons
to
tie
our
stations
together
right
now.
This
is
going
to.
We
can't
do
that
because
of
some
of
these
wire.
L
We
can
time
on
a
cool
day,
where's
95
degrees,
I
can't
tie
the
station's
together.
I
can't
put
the
whole
city
on
one
station
because
I
have
such
small
wire
in
certain
areas:
wild
it's
burned
down,
so
we
have
to
we've,
never
had
to
do
it,
but
we
could
have
to
drop
load
so
we're
just
trying
to
get
ahead
of
that.
L
We're
gonna
have
to
do
it,
but
this
will
give
us
a
temporary.
We
figured
out
a
way
to
change
a
little
wire
on
Plaza
Drive
and
get
that
power
over
to
that
area.
The
Horton
Mayfield
area
a
little
easier,
but
eventually
we're
gonna
have
to
do.
Car
would
drive
anyway,
but
we
figured
out
a
way
to
limit
that
we're
going
to
do
that
with
our
own,
with
material
on
hand
and
our
own
staff
there's
two
or
three
spans
in
there.
L
We
have
to
change
to
make
that
happen,
so
that's
going
to
get
that
power
over
there,
but
the
next,
once
we
do
North
Madison
to
South
Madison
we're
gonna
be
coming
back
to
you
with
the
car
would
drive.
There's
a
lot
of
copper
in
this
town.
There's
a
lot
of
copper
in
every
town
and
we're
slowly
picking
it
out.
You're
gonna
have
piece
by
piece.
F
F
J
F
L
E
Look
in
it
Rodney's
it's
about
the
same
everything's
continuing
from
when
I
see
he's
got
a
lot
of
larger
and
then
the
one
thing
that
I
did
want
to
discuss
and
I'm,
not
sure
if
he
had
mentioned
it
in
last
meeting,
but
the
stormwater.
E
Of
the
area
and
then
in
the
parking
lot,
so
that
was
a
successful
project
and
then
the
reason
he
is
not
here
tonight
is
he
is
at
the
gas
conference
and
Helen
that
we're
now
holding
for
the
third
year
and
I
had
talked
to
him
today
said
everything
was
going
great.
They
had
a
hundred
that
so
this
should
be
the
best
revenue
generating
year.
For
that
particular
conference,
I
mean
Rodney
and
the
guys
at
Gouda
they've
done
putting
these
projects
on
I
was
involved
with
them.
E
C
M
You
mr.
Bradley,
the
month
of
August,
we
pretty
much
had
standard
numbers
a
little
bit
lower
than
what
we've
had
previous
months
prior
to
that
overall
everything's,
pretty
much
the
same.
We
are
coming
in
in
October,
which
is
fire
prevention
month
across
the
nation
which
fire
prevention
week
will
be
next
week,
October
night,
we
will
be
busy
throughout
that
month
throughout
this
month.
This
is
the
month
where
everyone
invites
the
fire
department
to
the
schools
and
kids
and
everything.
M
C
M
C
A
Your
escape
effectively
serves
to
remind
us
that
we
need
to
take
personal
steps
to
increase
our
safety
from
fire.
Now,
therefore,
I
John
s,
Howard,
mayor
of
the
city
of
Monroe
Georgia,
on
behalf
of
the
city
council,
do
hereby
proclaim
the
month
of
October
2019
as
fire
prevention
month
throughout
the
city
and
I
are
ja
the
people
of
Monroe
to
be
aware
of
their
surroundings.
Look
for
available
ways
out
in
the
event
of
a
fire
or
other
emergency
respond.
A
When
the
smoke
alarm
sounds
by
exiting
the
building
immediately
and
to
support
the
many
public
safety
activities
and
efforts
of
the
City
of
Monroe
Fire
Department
during
the
month
of
October
2019
in
witness
whereof
I
have
hereunto
set
my
hand
and
cause
the
seal
of
the
City
of
Monroe
Georgia
to
be
affixed.
This
first
day
of
October
of
the
year
of
2000
in
19
of
our
lord
john
s,
howard
mayor.
A
K
N
You
mr.
brown
good
evening,
yeah
City
Monroe
Police
Department.
We
answered
a
total
of
three
thousand
two
hundred
and
seventy
nine
calls
for
service.
We
completed
two
hundred
ninety
court
cases.
Officers
completed
232
hours
of
training.
Our
part
one
crimes
are
down
19%,
that's
our
serious
felony
crimes.
Our
part
two
crimes
have
elevated
by
19
percent.
We
had
a
total
of
73
adult
arrests,
three
arrests
for
juvenile
August's,
it
six.
We
had
our
National
Night
Out.
N
It
was
the
public
event
where
the
people
that
community
come
out
and
spent
time
with
us
with
part
of
what
Walton
EMC,
we
had
a
pretty
good,
a
pretty
good
outcome.
We
considered
that
event
a
success
I'm.
Also
during
the
month
of
August,
our
joint
operations
team.
We
served
five
search
warrants.
One
was
the
marijuana
grow
house
on
my
drive.
I
have
a
be
able
to
answer
any
questions
you
may
have.
C
O
Just
some
of
the
highlights
from
the
code
Department
report
for
the
month
of
August,
we
didn't
have
14
new
businesses
open
up
in
that
month.
I
received
business
licenses
and
you
will
notice
that
the
addresses
are
included
on
the
list.
This
time
we
had
eight
that
were
closed
and
the
listing
there
is
showing
that
most
of
those
were
change
of
ownership
down
to
the
city
marshal
portion,
the
city
marshal
removed
56
signs
from
the
roadway
issued,
160
repair,
cleanup
orders
and
did
rien
spec
shion's
investigated
three
tampering.
A
Thank
You
Patrick
I
just
want
to
tell
you
I
know
your
job
is
thankless
and
and
I
know
you
have
a
lot
of
people.
Griping
and
I
know.
If
I
call
you
pretty
regularly,
but
I
also
got
a
call
yesterday
from
Chris
Colin
@lr
Berger,
they
just
opened
and
he
said
to
pass
along
his
appreciation
that
you
were
very
helpful
and
the
entire
team
upstairs.
So
this
is
the
one
time
you
get
a
lot
of
things.
Thank
you,
sir
I.
P
Thank
you
very
much.
Just
went
to
recap
that
we
had
our
first
Friday
concert
on
the
town,
green,
future,
town,
green
and
that's
a
picture
of
it.
That's
from
Martin
Bo's
own,
the
new
photographer
that
is
working
with
the
city,
that's
one
of
his
shots
from
that
evening,
and
you
can
see
that
it
was
a
very
big
crowd,
a
pretty
successful
again
if
event
for
our
first
run
of
trying
to
do
something
there
and
we've
gotten
lots
of
positive
feedback
since
the
event.
P
One
of
the
things
we
got
we
heard
a
lot
was:
we
should
do
more
concerts
in
the
fall
and
it's
cooler
if
the
fall
is
cooler.
I,
don't
know
that
that
has
proven,
but
there
will
be
another
concert
on
November
16th,
that
is
a
private,
a
private
company,
that's
putting
it
together,
we're
partnering
with
them.
Much
like
we
do
with
food
truck
Fridays
and
movie
at
the
mill.
So
that'll
be
November
16th.
We
have
the
next
food
truck.
P
Friday
that'll
be
October
25th
as
well,
so
we
love
it
when
we
have
private
companies
and
businesses
that
partner
with
us.
It
helps
lighten
the
load
and
ends
up
being
a
great
event,
so
they'll
be
doing
a
concert
and
a
family
festival
that
whole
day
it'd
be
from
3
to
9
p.m.
also
attached
is
a
flyer
for
hope.
Monroe
is
doing
a
fall
work
day.
They've
picked
some
of
the
homes
that
were
listed
when
we
did
the
chip
grant
applications.
We
had
a
long
list
of
residents
that
were
interested
in
those
funds.
P
We
were
only
able
to
do
7
homes
with
those
funds
and
so
hope,
Monroe
went
to
that
list
and
followed
up
with
a
number
of
them
and
found
three
other
homes
that
they
can
do
exterior
minor,
exterior
work
on
so
that's
gonna
be
at
volunteer
work
weekend.
A
number
of
realtor
groups
are
partnering
with
them
and
volunteers,
so
we're
excited
should
be
able
to
get
three
to
four
homes
and
just
help.
People
with
junk
removal,
painting,
landscaping
very
simple
things,
but
I'm
excited
about
that.
P
I
wanted
you
to
know
about
it
to
think
that's
a
easy
way
to
have
a
big
impact
in
our
neighborhood,
so
that'll
be
happening
on
October
19th
and
the
young
game-changer
group,
the
locals,
from
met
following
up
and
they're,
continuing
to
evaluate
all
the
recommendations,
I'm
going
to
find
a
way
to
figure
out
what
they
want
to
support,
what
they
want
to
recommend
and
how
to
move
those
things
forward.
So
that's
not
just
becoming
a
plan
on
the
shelf
or
some
good
ideas
in
a
book.
P
They're
really
wanting
to
think
about
how
to
do
that,
which
is
great
for
us
and
want
to
empower
and
encourage
them.
And,
lastly,
USDA
reached
out
to
us.
Their
regional
office
is
here
in
Monroe,
and
they
have
a
lot
of
resources
that
are
available
in
our
community
because
we
are
a
rural
community
and
so
I
have
listed
those
below
on
the
forum
and
then
I
have
forms
here
just
from
their
website.
P
This
is
amazing
for
our
for
our
community
the
tools
they
have
to
help
home
owners
get
into
homes
become
homeowners
also
they
have
a
homeowner
grant
and
repair,
and
a
loan
for
home
repair
and
a
lot
of
people
qualify
for
those
who
wouldn't
necessarily
have
the
funds
to
take
care
of
their
homes.
So
that's
and
I
don't
have
sheets.
P
Maybe
I
did
I
did
I
printed
sheets
on
that
that
information
to
the
grants
are
7007
thousand
dollars
and
they
especially
consider
that
for
elderly
people
we
wouldn't
have
fun
so
I
want
you
all
to
have
those
tools
to
help
get
the
word
out
in
our
community.
The
way
you
access
them
is
just
call
USDA
or
go
visit
their
office,
and
one
of
the
ladies
that
we're
actually
going
to
be
helping
with
the
work
day
she
qualified
for
one
of
these
grants
and
she
can't
live
in
her
home
right
now.
P
P
So
that's
there's
a
lot
of
other
things
going
on
a
lot
of
events.
Fall
Fest
is
the
12th.
It's
gonna
be
a
big
day.
We
are
shutting
down
Broad
Street.
We
potentially
have
two
new
businesses
that
are
doing
their
grand
opening
that
same
day
and
there's
a
lot
of
other
events
on
stage.
I
think
has
a
yard,
sale,
First,
United,
Methodist,
Church,
soon
a
yard
sale,
first
president's
doing
a
yard,
sale,
there's
potentially
gonna
be
a
lacrosse
event
going
on.
So
a
lot
happening
that
weekend
in
Monroe
should
be
a
wonderful
day.
J
N
B
So
that's
getting
near
all
this
work
can
probably
be
done
in-house
with
city
crews,
very
low
cost,
very
high
impact
project.
So
we're
looking
forward
to
get
that
going
pretty
soon.
We'll
also
look
at
your
room,
doing
some
remediation
on
that
bridge
or
there's
some
washout
and
undercutting
as
it
goes
across
the
creek
there.
So
we
can't
do
that.
It's
at
the
same
time
of
this
as
this
project
and
then
down
below
under
items
requiring
action
or
excuse
me
under
items
of
discussion.
We
have
the
resolution
for
the
Georgia
outdoors
stewardship
program
grant.
B
A
Q
You
mayor
the
owner,
wishes
to
subdivide
what
was
a
previous
derelict
property
into
four
line
plots
and
if
you
look
at
the
plat,
absolutely
three
of
the
Lots,
which
is
our
one
designation,
are
one
with
the
road
frontage
and
the
point
three
two
one
acres,
which
is
14
thousand,
which
is
required.
The
last
lot
does
not
have
fifteen
point
three
linear
feet:
equal
the
r-1
requirement,
but
has
19
thousand
three
hundred
and
forty
two
square
foot,
which
is
0.44
acres,
they've,
already
started
the
process
of
dismantling
and
demoing
the
house.
Q
D
Thing
that
concerns
me
is
that's
our
curb
cuts
within
a
hundred
feet
and
then
84
feet
on
that
busy
busy
road,
and
you
know
for
possibly
but
moving
forward.
You
don't
want
to
set
a
precedent
and
have
something
come
along.
That
was
a
two
acre
lot
and
have
eight
curb
cuts
right
there
in
that
in
a
an
area
like
that,
that's
only
thing
that
would
concern
me.
Could.
D
F
C
D
C
D
A
A
Q
Stone,
yes
mayor,
the
rezoning
request
is
obviously
for
123
Plaza
tres,
which
currently
is
rezone
P
for
professional,
currently
being
used,
as
are
two
multifamily,
and
that's
way,
it's
being
developed,
it's
apartment,
complex
and
existing.
Currently,
it's
an
existing
non-conforming
use
in
a
professional
zone.
The
applicant
wishes
to
have
the
property
rezone
to
match
the
current
use
and.
Q
Q
A
A
Q
So
if
you
look
at
the
52,
it's
a
52
acre
r1
parcel.
We
required
them
to
go
ahead
and
put
the
turning
lane
in
since
the
adjacent
properties
east
of
it
all
had
turning
lanes
as
well,
but
he
has
made
the
necessary
Corrections
he's
removed.
The
eyebrow
cul-de-sacs
he's
reconfigured
that
a
lot
radio
lines
on
the
curves
in
the
cul-de-sacs
he's
got
2
defined
mail
kiosk
as
common
space
he's
indicated
and
defined
an
association
to
own
the
common
Lots
wants
to
find
for
those
in
there
and,
like
I
said,
he's
got
the
turn
lane
indicated.
D
F
A
Are
there
any
other
questions
or
comments
here?
You
know
no
move
to
the
appointment
of
the
housing
authority.
Makita
swords
term
will
expire
on
October
6th.
Mr.
Kevin
Stewart,
the
executive
director
of
the
housing
authority
has
confirmed
that
mr.
swords
would
like
to
be
reappointed
for
another
five-year
term.
We
will
address
this
again.
Next
week,
resolution
outdoor
Georgia
outdoors
stewardship
program
grant
miss
causing.
P
This
is
the
resolution
that's
required
by
the
Department
of
Natural
Resources
as
a
part
of
the
application
to
this
grant
the
City
Attorney's
after
this,
based
on
the
model
from
the
DNR,
and
we
have
to
answer
any
questions.
This
is
the
one
that's
tied
to
the
grant
funds
for
applying
for
through
the
Georgia
outdoors
stewardship
program,
and
that
would,
if
awarded
we'll,
be
able
to
do
the
town
green
project
as
well
as
the
first
phase
of
a
relative
trail.
P
N
Yes,
sir,
back
on
July
6,
we
had
a
vehicle
pursuit
were
chasing
a
armed
robbery,
suspect
out
of
Florida.
The
chase
went
from
138
and
West
Pring
and
ended
up
on
South
Broad
Street
near
South
Side
mobile
home
park.
In
order
to
get
the
vehicle
to
stop,
we
got
to
perform
a
pit
maneuver,
which
is
the
pursuit
intervention
technique
and
after
the
vehicle
suspect
vehicles
stopped.
Our
patrol
unit
hit
a
tree
head-on
so
that
had
totaled
out
that
vehicle.
