The City of Mountain View has enacted a temporary moratorium to stop residential evictions for nonpayment of rent.

The ordinance is effective through May 31st but can be extended by the City Council.

If you are unable to pay your rent due to the COVID-19 crisis, please notify your landlord in writing immediately.

For example, significant loss of income related to the crisis can include, but is not limited to:
· Job loss or layoff
· Business, store or restaurant closure
· Reduction in hours worked
· Substantial decrease in business hours or demand
· Need to care for homebound children or sick family members
· Federal, State or local actions that prevents you from working
or
· Have substantial out-of-pocket medical expenses due to the pandemic
· Notify your landlord today. Please do not wait.
