From YouTube: Benefits of Electrification Webinar
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
Thank
you
yeah.
Well,
thank
you
for
joining
us
for
this
important
presentation
on
the
topic
of
electrification,
we're
going
to
dive
into
what
electrification
means,
exploring
its
various
applications
and
what
it
can
do
in
our
homes
and
communities
to
make
it
more
sustainable
and
energy.
Efficient
electrification
is
a
concept,
and
it's
gained
a
lot
of
momentum
in
the
recent
in
recent
years
and
that's
for
good
reason.
A
So
the
shift
towards
electricity
is
critical
in
addressing
the
challenges
posed
by
climate
change
and
promoting
cleaner
and
Greener
future
I
know
what
that's
what
the
city
of
Mountain
View
is
all
about,
and
so
by
addressing
and
talking
about
the
benefits
of
switching
home
electrification,
we're
gonna
be
able
to
share
the
electricity
elected
by
Mountain
View
platform
with
you,
which
is
powered
by
yellowton,
which
I
I
work
for
so
I
know.
You
said
this,
but
the
webinar
will
be
recorded
and
please
follow
us.
A
You
know
City
Mountain
View
on
socials,
MV
sustainability.
So
you
can
say
up
to
date
as
well
in
the
newsletter
as
well.
So
here's
a
quick
agenda,
we're
gonna
go
over
what
is
electrification
the
Environmental
personal
benefits,
the
savings
that
are
available
and
what
actions
you
can
take.
We
break
even
into
a
few
categories
of
simple,
no
cost
solar
and
Battery
home
appliances
and
transportation,
and
then
we'll
explain
quickly
how
much
by
Mountain
View
can
help.
You
I
want
to
point
out
that
electrification
is
for
everyone,
it's
not
just
for
homeowners.
A
A
So
electrification,
in
its
simplest
form,
refers
to
the
process
of
adopting
and
using
electricity
as
the
primary
source
of
power
in
place
of
traditional
fossil
fuels.
It
involves
transitioning
from
fuel
dependent
systems
to
electric
power
Technologies
and
promoting
a
more
sustainable
and
eco-friendly
approach
to
energy
consumption.
A
Electrification
at
its
core
is
about
reimagining
your
energy
landscape
and
transitioning
to
more
environmentally
friendly
practices.
By
shifting
away
from
fossil
fuels,
which
releases
harmful
greenhouse
gases
when
they're
burned,
we
can
significantly
reduce
our
carbon
footprint
and
combat
impacts
of
global
warming.
Electrification
encompasses
a
wide
range
of
applications
and
it
goes
just
beyond
lighting
Electronics.
It
involves
electrifying,
major
components
of
a
home,
including
the
heating,
cooling,
water,
heating,
cooking
transportation.
A
These
products
that
you
see
here
are
things
that
you
either
have
in
your
home
today,
or
hopefully,
we'll
have
them
sometime
in
the
future.
But
the
question
is:
why
should
we
Electrify
by
shifting
towards
electric
as
a
main
energy
source,
we
can
significantly
reduce
these
greenhouse
gas
emissions
and
mitigate
the
impact
of
climate
change?.
A
So,
residential
and
transportation
sectors
together
contribute
to
42
percent
of
total
CO2
emissions
in
the
United
States.
So
there's
this
huge
impact
that
we
have
in
our
homes
that
greatly
affects
the
environment
that
we
live
in.
So
this
is
an
incredibly
alarming
statistic
and
it
underscores
the
urgent
need
for
adopting
cleaner
in
more
sustainable
energy
practices.
A
Homes
are
a
primary
source
of
emissions
due
to
the
energy
consumption
for
heating
cooling,
water
heaters,
all
that
stuff
and
appliances
as
well.
Additionally,
a
considerable
portion
of
Transportation
emissions
arise
from
internal
combustion
engine
vehicles,
traditional
gas
powered
vehicles,
especially
those
powered
by
gas
diesel.
So
as
the
population
grows
and
urbanization
increases
our
Collective
energy
demand
and
Emissions
continue
to
rise.
It
is
crucial
for
us
that
we
find
effective
solutions
to
create
a
more
carbon,
sustainable,
low-carbon
future.
A
So
whole
home
electrification
presents
a
pretty
compelling
argument
in
solution
to
Pat
to
combat
the
environmental
impact
of
homes
and
cars,
and
by
converting
our
homes
from
fossil
fuel
dependent
systems
to
electric
power
Technologies.
We
can
significantly
reduce
these
high
42
CO2
emissions
and
get
that
as
close
as
possible
to
zero.
A
So
by
electrifying
your
home
heating
and
cooling,
with
the
walk
with
energy,
efficient
heat
pumps,
adopting
electric
appliances
and
using
electric
water
heaters,
it
really
can
make
a
substantial
difference
and
embracing
the
election.
Things
like
electric
vehicles
for
transportation
and
eliminate
can
eliminate
tailpipe
emissions
and
reduce
the
carbon
footprint
associated
with
traditional
internal
combustion
engine
Vehicles.
So
the
promise
of
whole
home
electric
electrification
relies
on
its
potential
to
decarbonize
these
critical
aspects
of
our
lives
and
pave
the
way
for
a
more
sustainable
and
cleaner
future.
A
So
these
are
some
of
the
benefits
of
electrification,
and
while
it
is
not
directly
listed
here,
the
comfort
and
convenience
of
electric
appliances
is
something
that
is
important
to
recognize
as
well.
They
are
completely
on
par
or
and
sometimes
better
than
many
gas-powered
appliances.
So
with
electrification,
there's
no
need
to
sacrifice
comfort
or
convenience,
and
you
get
these
great
benefits
as
well.
A
There's,
of
course,
the
environmental
benefits
it
can
come
with
also
additional
savings
for
homeowners
and
renters,
and
electric
technology
such
as
heat
pumps
and
energy,
efficient
appliances.
They
are
designed
to
operate
more
efficiently
than
their
counterparts.
So
this
increased
efficiency
translates
to
lower
energy
consumption,
reduced
energy
and
utility
bills
over
time.
So
by
making
the
switch
to
electric
heating
and
cooling
systems,
homeowners
can
experience
considerable
long-term
benefits
savings
on
their
energy
costs.
A
There's
also
excuse
me
with
the
integration
of
renewable
energy
sources
like
solar
panels,
whole
home
electrification
can
lead
to
even
more
substantial
cost
savings,
so
generating
electricity
on
site
at
your
own
home
with
the
rooftop
solar
system
reduces
the
Reliance
on
utility
companies.
It
protects
the
grid
and
also
protects
homeowners
from
fluctuating
Energy
prices
and
provides
a
sense
of
energy
Independence
in
that
Financial
stability
from
the
cost
savings
that
can
be
created
there.
A
So
this
right
here
is
these
pictures
here.
Show
you
an
overview
of
what
you
can
expect
on
your
dashboard
by
signing
in
for
electrified
Mountain
View,
like
I,
said
there
are
incredible
Savings
in
the
average
electrified
Mountain
View
user
can
save
up
to
four
thousand
dollars
a
year.
This
information
here
you
see
on
the
top
I
inputted,
my
own
information
saving
over
five
thousand
dollars
a
year.
A
If
I
followed
all
the
recommendations,
the
recommendations
are
a
key
part
of
the
lecture
or
five
Mountain
View
platform
which
provide
that
education
and
tools
to
help
you
understand
what
kind
of
electrification
Technologies
are
out
there
and
make
sure
that
you're
making
the
right
investment
so
making
those
sort
of
investments
in
solar
or
EVS.
A
They
can
really
create
those
large
Energy
savings
that
offset
the
cost
of
the
events,
but
so,
by
investing
in
something
like
solar
panels,
you
could
begin
to
see
the
benefits
in
the
savings
that
will
hopefully
eventually
help
the
system
pay
for
itself
on
the
bottom.
You
see
here
over
a
10-year
time
frame
close
to
seventy
thousand
dollars.
By
acting
on
all
these
potential
saving
recommendations,
we
break
our
our
recommendations
into
four
categories:
simple,
no
cost
solar
and
Battery
appliances
and
transportation
and
I'm
going
to
go
through
some
of
those
today.
A
So
you
can
see
you
know,
learn
more
about
those
benefits
and
understand
how
you
yourself
can
start
to
Electric
by
your
home.
A
Of
course,
we
can't
talk
about
electrification
with
all
the
available
incentives
out
there.
Rebates
and
incentives
played
a
pivotal
role
in
encouraging
and
accelerating
the
adoption
of
electrification
measures,
so
these
programs
are
offered
by
governments,
utility
companies
and
they
provide
Financial
incentives
to
homeowners
who
choose
to
invest
in
energy
efficient.
You
know:
electrification,
Solutions.
The
federal
government
offers
7
500
Federal
rebate
for
an
electric
vehicle.
A
On
top
of
that,
California
offers
a
two
thousand
dollar
rebate,
so
you're,
looking
at
almost
ten
thousand
dollars
off
of
the
MSRP
of
your
electric
vehicle
and
in
2024,
these
rebates
will
also
become
point
of
purchase.
So
it's
not
just
a
tax
rebate
that
you're
getting,
but
you
will
be
able
to
drive
off
a
lot
with
your
new
vehicle
with
99
500
knocked
off
the
MSRP.
A
Another
example
is
heat
pump,
HVAC
systems
once
again,
there's
Federal
and
state
and
local
incentives
here:
the
20
2500
SVC
rebate
and
the
one
thousand
dollar
Bay
rent
rebate
by
logging
onto
the
Electrify
Mountain
View
platform.
You
can
see
all
the
incentives
that
are
available
and
understand
the
kind
of
savings
that
you
can
get
once
again.
Those
savings
aren't
calculated
into
your
overall
savings
on
the
dashboard
that
you
saw
earlier.
Those
were
energy
production
savings.
A
You
can
see
here
on
the
location
that
I
inputted
over
twenty
eight
thousand
dollars
in
total
incentives
from
things
like
smart
thermostats,
EVS,
solar
battery
water
heaters,
a
lot
of
things
that
I'm
going
to
be
covering
today.
Incentives
are
offered
which
help
reduce
the
cost
of
these.
So
it
really
is
one
of
the
significant
advantages
of
these
rebates.
Incentives
is
that
they
help
offset
that
upfront
cost
and
while
it
can
be,
you
know
there
is
a
cost
associated
with
upgrading
to
Electric
appliances,
heat
pumps
and
all
these
things.
A
These
incentives
can
really
reduce
the
financial
burden
and
these
programs
make
electrification
more
accessible
and
attractive
to
a
broader
range
of
homeowners
and
renters,
which
ultimately
Drive
greater
adoption
rates.
So
when
these
incentives
are
available
and
offered,
it
creates
a
system
where
more
people
purchase
them.
It
reduces
our
energy
consumption
and
it's
really
a
benefit
for
everyone,
so
they
align
with
sustainability
goals,
they
promote
the
use
of
clean
energy
and
they
contribute
to
the
reduction
of
greenhouse
gas
emissions.
A
So
the
incentives
there's
so
many
out
there
and
I
encourage
you
to
log
onto
the
platform
so
that
you
can
see
what
kind
of
incentives
you
qualify
for
and
they're
great
to
know.
For
instance,
if
your
water
heater,
you
know
all
of
a
sudden
breaks,
there's
incredible
money
out
there
so
that
you
can
think
well.
I
do
need
to
upgrade
now
it's
a
perfect
time
to
think
about
a
heat
pump,
water,
heater
and
especially
because
I
get
incentive
that's
available.
A
That
would
really
reduce
that
upfront
cost
and
make
it
more
affordable
and
easier
for
me
to
transition
to
electric
or
energy
efficient,
Technologies.
A
So,
let's
start
off
with
some
of
these
simple
and
low
cost
recommendations.
Electrification
does
not
have
to
be
expensive
and
it
can
be,
it
doesn't
have
to
be
daunting
and
it
doesn't
have
to
be
expensive.
So
there
are
several
simple
and
low
cost
ways
to
transition
to
more
energy,
efficient
and
electrification.
Solutions
starting
off
Smart
thermostats
are
a
great
way:
they're
an
excellent
and
cost-efficient
way
to
Electrify
your
homes,
heating
and
cooling
systems.
A
So
smart
thermostats
offer
features
like
programmable
schedules,
remote
controls
from
your
smartphone.
So
you
can
turn
the
AC
on,
for
instance,
when
you're
coming
out
from
work,
so
it'll
be
nice
and
cool.
When
you
get
there
once
again,
touching
on
that
comfort
and
convenience,
and
it
optimizes
this
heating
going
in
your
home
to
reduce
that
energy
wastage
and
make
sure
that
the
climate
of
your
home
is
exactly
what
it
needs
to
be.
They
are
easy
to
install.
A
Even
if
you
are
a
renter,
you
can
often
install
a
smart
thermostat
and
then
you
can
put
the
old
old
one
back
on
if
it
is
time
to
move-
and
there
is
incredible
savings
benefits
from
here,
so
they
range
from
out
on
cost
for
a
smart
thermostat
from
about
130
150
to
300
the
average
being
about
250
and
then
there's
125
dollars,
incentives
available
for
Mountain
View
residents,
so
there's
the
75
Golden,
State
rebate,
the
50,
50
SBC
rebate
and
then
there's
the
yearly
savings
you
can
save
about
10
to
20
of
a
home
schooling
bills.
A
Led
light
bulbs
are
another
great
way
to
one
of
the
simple
no-cost
measures
to
replace
traditional
incandescent
light
bulbs.
It's
one
of
the
simplest
and
most
effective
steps
toward
electrification.
These
LED
light
bulbs
use
significantly
less
energy
than
death
and
light
bulbs
and
have
a
much
longer.
Life
span,
sometimes
up
to
30
30
times
longer,
and
they
are
available
in
all
shapes
and
sizes.
So
you
can
make
them
really
put
them
all
around
your
home
and
kind
of
see
that
savings
that's
available
there.
A
You
can
see
here
a
few
others
listed
shower
heads
narrators,
smart
power,
strips
weatherstripping
is
a
another
great,
simple
and
low-cost
way
to
kind
of
not
necessarily
Electrify
your
home,
but
to
reduce
the
energy
consumption
of
your
home.
So
you
can
do
this
by
sealing
your
doors
and
windows
with
so
with
weather
stripping,
which
is
a
pretty
low
cost
solution
and
enhances
the
Energy
Efficiency
by
keeping
either
heat
in
or
heat.
You
know
keeping
cool
in
from
your
home
and
it
prevents
prevent
straps
and
kind
of
temperature
from
leaking
Outdoors.
A
So,
by
limiting
these
ear,
these
air
leaks
you're
able
to
maintain
a
better
temperature
in
your
home
and
which
results
in
lower
energy
consumption.
So
when
you're
cooling
your
home
during
those
hot
summer
months,
you
don't
want
that
cool
air
to
escape.
A
Let's
also
talk
about
solar
and
batteries,
so
there's
plenty
of
benefits
to
installing
a
rooftop
solar
system
and
a
battery
process
for
installing
supports
on
solar
panel
panels
in
the
battery
system.
A
A
The
yellowton
platform,
electron
Mountain
View
platform,
can
also
do
this
and
can
help
you
understand
what
sort
of
you
know
what
sort
of
kilowattage
you
would
need
and
the
number
of
panels
you
would
need,
based
on
the
information
that
you
input
into
the
platform
and
the
technologies
that
you
add
to
your
favorites.
So
this
can
give
you
a
better
understanding
of
the
type
of
solar
panels
or
the
number
of
solar
panels
and
the
type
of
savings
you
can
expect.
A
So
seeing
seeing
the
savings
is
a
really
often
a
motivator
to
see
you
know,
wow,
maybe
I
should
think
about
solar,
so
the
process
once
again,
for
once
you
get
started
on
a
solar
system
once
you've
talked
to
a
qualified
installer,
they
get
the
system
started
understand
what
sort
of
what
sort
of
system
you
need
and
they
connect
that's
to
your
home,
giving
you
that
you
know
consistent
energy
energy
source
so
that
you
can
create
and
store
your
energy
of
your
home.
A
So
with
the
with
the
advancements
in
technology
and
increased
demand
for
solar
and
Battery
installations,
costs
have
significantly
decreased
for
solar
systems
over
time
and
California
in
the
city
of
Mountain.
View
have
various
Financial
incentives,
tax
credits,
net
metering
programs
and
such
that
make
The
Upfront
investment
even
more
affordable,
so
homeowners
can
make
options.
Another
benefit
is
that
homeowners
can
often
achieve
a
return
on
their
investment.
A
A
relatively
short
period
of
time
through
these
reduced
energy
bills
and
the
potential
from
excess
energy
sold
back
to
the
greater
these,
like
I,
said
lead
to
reduce
Reliance
on
the
grid,
which
is
really
important.
So
during
sunny
days,
solar
panels
generate
electricity
which
offset
the
needs
to
purchase
energy
from
your
utility
company,
and
any
surplus
energy
that
is
stored
in
the
battery
system
for
use
can
be
used
during
cloudy
days
or
at
nights.
So
this
self-efficiency
system
reduces
dependency
on
automobile
energy
sources
and
stabilizes
energy
costs
over
time.
A
A
These
are
called
peak
hours
and
it's
when
energy
costs
are
the
highest
because
the
most
people
are
using
it.
If
you
have
a
solar
and
Battery
system,
you
may
not
have
to
deal
with
those
peak
hours,
and
you
can,
you
know,
get
those
potential
savings
and
reduce
energy
usage
by
by
having
this
kind
of
system
installed
in
your
home.
So
from
an
environmental
standpoint
and
just
a
practicality
of
financial
savings
standpoint,
there's
many
many
benefits
from
a
solar
and
battery
installation
in
your
home
reduces
greenhouse
gas
emissions.
A
You
know
no
longer
has
a
need
for
fossil
fuels
in
many
cases
of
your
home,
if
you're
buying
energy
from
your
utility.
That
provides
that,
and
it's
one
of
the
best
choices
you
can
make
to
help
combat
climate
change
and
really
Electrify
your
home.
If
you
want
to
fully
electric
by
your
home
solar
system
with
battery
is
one
of
the
best
things,
so
you
can
do
another
really
important
part
of
it
is
that
you
release
that
you
no
longer
have
that
dependence
on
the
grid.
A
So
if
there
are
power
outages
often
you
can
keep
energy
in
your
home
by
the
energy
that
you
have
stored
in
your
battery
system
and
it
can
also
expand
the
lifespan
of
your
roof,
because
the
the
solar
system,
the
solar
systems,
provide
shade
and
kind
of
reduce
that
interaction
with
the
elements.
So
once
again,
plenty
of
benefits
for
solar
and
a
fun
little
one
at
the
end
is
that
it
actually
has
been
seen
to
increase
the
property
value
because
people
are
wanting
to.
A
So
there
are
so
many
benefits
to
installing
solar
and
Battery
system
and
just
for
the
savings
right
there,
you
can
see
they're
they're,
pretty
ginormous
and
exciting
way
to
kind
of
see
how
you
can
get
involved
by
Electric.
Finding
your
home.
A
Home
appliances
are
another
way
to
really
reduce
your
Energy
Efficiency.
You
know.
Removing
natural
gas
from
your
home
is
really
the
core
element
of
electrification,
but
it
has
incredible
health
benefits
and
environmental
benefits
as
well
so
heat
pump
Technologies
such
as
the
heat
pump,
water,
heater
heat
pump,
HVAC
system,
there's
even
heat
pump,
clothes
dryers
which
have
less
savings
but
have
environmental
benefits.
A
They
remove
the
need
to
generate
fuel
or
to
burn
fuel
to
generate
heat.
They
are
often
highly
energy
efficient,
Alternatives,
traditional
electric
or
gas
appliances
in
the
economics
of
installing
these
systems
are
compelling
due
to
their
long-term
cost
savings.
So,
while
The
Upfront
investment
may
be
slightly
higher
than
conventional
water
heaters
or
HVAC
systems,
the
reduced
energy
consumption
can
lead
to
significant
savings
on
utility
bills
and
just
create
a
better
system
within
your
home.
The
installation
processes.
A
For
you
know,
all
these
Technologies
generally
require
you
to
speak
with
a
professional
in
this
sense,
but
those
those
cost
savings
from
the
Energy
Efficiency
and
also
from
the
available
available
incentives
really
make
these
a
worthwhile
investment,
whether
it's
key
pump,
water
heaters
or
HVAC
systems,
heat
pump,
post
dryers,
an
important
other
piece
I
think
is
really
valuable
for
us
to
look
at
when
we
look
at
the
health
of
our
home
is
removing
gas
powered
stoves
and
installing
an
induction
cooktop.
A
recent
study
came
out.
A
That
said,
one
in
eight
cases
of
childhood
asthma
was
caused
by
gas
stoves,
many
of
them
leak,
and
it
can
have
a
really
deteriorating
fact
on
our
health.
That's
why
induction
cooktops
are
really
a
smart
choice
for
homeowners,
homeowners
that
want
you
know:
energy,
efficient
and
eco-friendly
cooking
solutions.
They
they
are
just
as
rapid
and
precise,
even
more
so
than
traditional
energy
in
traditional
gas
powered
stoves
and
with
the
environmental
benefits.
There
really
is
a
great
you
know
thing
to
do.
A
If
you're
thinking
about
replacing
your
stove
top
I
highly
encourage
you
to
think
about
an
induction
cooktop,
so
you
can
enjoy
faster
cooking
once
again
reduce
energy
bills
in
a
Greener,
healthier
environment
for
your
family
and
your
community
as
well.
A
Of
course,
we've
got
to
talk
about
Transportation,
electric
vehicles
are
really
revolutionizing
automobile
industry
and
there's
numerous
economic
savings
and
environmental
benefits.
The
economics
of
electric
vehicles
have
really
improved
over
the
years.
There
are
many
expensive
Vehicles
out
there,
but
there's
also
many
very,
very
affordable
ones.
A
The
Chevy
bolt,
for
example,
starts
at
just
under
20
000,
and
there
are
incentives
out
there,
like
I,
mentioned
the
9
500
from
the
special
tax
credit
in
the
California
in
vehicle
rebate,
meaning
that
you
can
get
a
pretty
good
deal
on
these
vehicles
and
really
see
the
savings
that
you
can
get
here.
A
If
you
any
have
any
hesitation
about
electric
vehicles,
there's
you
know
something
called
range
anxiety
which
a
lot
of
people
experience,
but
in
a
city
like
Mountain,
View,
there's
so
many
accessible
charging
options.
I
would
encourage
you
if
you
do
have
something
like
range
anxiety
to
download.
There's
plenty
of
apps
out
there
like
chargepoint
and
charge
shot,
and
it's
like
a
Google
map
where
you
can
see
all
the
available
public
Chargers
in
your
area.
A
So
you
in
a
city
like
Mountain
View,
you
really
don't
have
to
worry
about.
You
know
the
kind
of
risk
of
running
out
of
power
in
your
electric
vehicle,
because
there's
so
many
options
out
there,
there's
of
course
the
reduced
energy
cost
here.
That's
this
shows
the
10-year
savings
by
charging
at
home.
If
you
do
decide
to
purchase
electric
vehicle,
I
highly,
encourage
you
to
install
an
at-home
charger.
A
Those
can
range
in
the
cost
of
around
two
thousand
dollars,
but
there
are
incentives
available
for
those
as
well
and
there
are
special
EV
energy
rates,
meaning
that
if
you
are
charging
your
vehicle
at
home,
you'll
be
charging
even
lower
costs
than
what
your
traditional
electricity
bill
would
be.
So
once
again,
plenty
of
savings.
A
There
are
the
environmental
benefits
of
zero
tailpipe
emissions
and
reduce
noise
pollution
which
create
a
healthier
and
safer
Community
with
electric
vehicles
and
quieter
as
well,
and
so
it's
one
of
the
once
again,
along
with
solar
one
of
the
best
ways
you
can
contribute
to
reducing
your
emissions
and,
like
I,
said
creating
that
healthier
and
safer
Mountain
View
that
everyone
is
looking
for.
A
So
how
can
the
Electrify
Mountain
View
platform
help
you
well
by
logging
onto
the
platform?
You
can
see
all
the
recommendations.
I
just
went
over
and
many
more
and
you
can
see
that
projected
savings,
the
economic
benefits,
environmental
benefits,
how
to
use
the
product,
all
the
information
you
needed
to
know-
and
you
can
also
come
to
us-
the
election
energy
experts
to
help
you
understand
what
product
is
right
for
you.
Where
do
I
start,
which
EV
is
right
for
you
should
I
get
a
battery?
Should
I
get
solar?
A
What
kind
of
appliances
do
I
need?
We
recently
helped
someone
who
wanted
to
replace
their
HVAC
system
with
a
heat
pump
system
and
we
were
able
to
give
them
reputable
installers
in
the
area
and
also
help
them
understand.
You
know
what
and
the
power
they
need.
A
So
that
is
all.
Thank
you
once
again
for
your
time
here,
I
really
appreciated
being
able
to
share
this
information
about
electrification
with
you
I'm
happy
to
answer
any
questions
but
as
well.
This
will
be
recorded
and
shared
and
I.
Please
encourage
you
to
follow
all
socials
in
the
newsletters
from
the
city
of
Mountain,
View.
B
B
B
B
C
Great,
thank
you
Whitney
and
thank
you
John.
We
have
the
question
from
Bruce
England,
so
I'll
go
ahead
and
allow
you
to
unmute
and
you
can
go
ahead
and
share
your
question.
Bruce.
D
Okay,
thank
you.
This
is
a
question
that
I've
asked
before
in
various
ways,
but
I
want
to
bring
it
up
here
again.
I'm
in
the
process
of
having
solar
panels
installed,
I
have
an
EV
I'm
using
induction
cooktops.
Eventually,
I'll
go
with
heat
pump,
you
know,
so
it's
a
gradual
process
of
moving
to
electrical
over
over
gas
and
my
problem
at
the
moment
is
that
I've
got
the
solar
panel
installers
ready
to
go,
but
the
city
is
telling
them
that
I
need
to
have
my
service
level
increased
and
I.
D
Don't
believe,
I
need
to
do
that
and
we're
encouraged
to
be
out
here
in
the
community
to
not
raise
our
service
levels
if
we
can
avoid
it
and
and
just
use
smart,
switching
and
things
like
that,
energy,
efficient
appliances,
etc,
etc.
That's
what
I
want
to
do,
there's
a
an
exemption
that
can
be
filed
for
it's
not
clear
to
me
how
to
do
that.
D
But
honestly
I
wish
that
the
city
would
change
the
regulations
and
just
say
if
you
can
manage
with
your
current
service
level,
we're
not
going
to,
but
PG
e
is
okay
with
it.
We're
not
going
to
push
for
you
to
increase
your
service
level,
I,
don't
know
the
rationale
behind
it,
history
or
anything
like
that.
You
can
respond
if
you'd
like
to,
but
otherwise
it's
just
an
FYI
to
remind
again
that
that's
a
potential
issue
that
might
need
to
be
addressed.
A
Yeah
Bruce,
thank
you
for
sharing
that
I'm.
Not
able
to
you
know
answer
specifically
on
what
the
city
is
doing,
but
it
sounds
like
you
know
you
are
taking
those
steps
which
is
great,
Whitney
I,
don't
know
if
you
have
any
information
to
share
there,
but
I
know
it
really
can
depend
on
your
system.
If
you
do
need
to
update
that
or
not
and
while
oftentimes
your
utility
can
suggest
it
and
ask
you
to
I
know
there
can
be
significant
costs
with
that
as
well.
A
That's
something
that
we
can
try
to
help
you
with.
If
you
want
to
reach
out,
if
you
sign
up
to
the
platform
and
reach
out
to
our
Yellowstone
energy
experts,
we
can
do
our
best
to
kind
of
help
you
on
that
sense
and
at
least
try
to
give
you
that
background
information
to
really
understand
if
this
is
necessary
or
not,
but
I
hope
that
provides
some
information.
That's
helpful
for
you
and
by
logging
onto
the
platform
you
should
be
able
to
connect
with
us.
B
And
then
just
to
expand
on
Bruce
has
already
heard
this.
That's
for
everyone
else.
The
city
is
investigating
a
process
for
exemptions
to
the
service
increase.
B
That
Bruce
was
discussing,
and
so
I
know
it
doesn't
help
him
today,
but
in
the
near
term
there
should
be,
or
it
seems
like
there
may
be
a
process
in
place.
Thank
you.
Thank.
D
A
And
Whitney,
if
you
could
also
possibly
share
the
link
to
the
platform
in
the
chat
as
well,
so
people
are
able
to
does
it
matter
sign
up
during
this
time
as
well?
There's.
C
Great
and
thanks
Bruce
for
your
question:
we
have
another
hand
raise
from
Mary,
Beth
and
I'll
go
ahead
and
and
meet
you.
E
Can
you
hear
me?
Yes,
okay?
So,
first
of
all,
thank
you
so
much
for
doing
this.
It's
sort
of
been
on
my
list
for
quite
some
time
and
it's
for
me.
Unlike
the
last
person
who
spoke
who's
done,
a
lot
of
this
I
haven't
done
any
of
it
and
it's
a
it's
just
overwhelming
to
me,
and
part
of
me
is
thinking,
can
I
just
hire
someone
to
just
say:
do
it
all
but
I'm
not
sure,
that's
the
best
route,
because
I
want
induction
I,
have
a
gas
stove
I
want
solar
panels.
E
I'm
I
need
a
new
roof.
You
know
I'm
interested
in
in
pretty
much
everything,
because
I'm
I
want
to
do
the
right
thing
and
I
just
I'm,
I
guess
I
just
don't
know
where
to
start
foreign.
A
In
that
experience,
to
be
honest,
that's
kind
of
how
the
yellow
10
platform
was
created
through.
C
A
How
painful
and
confusing
and
frustrating
it
can
be.
A
That's
one
reason
where
we
come
with
all
the
education
that's
available
there
right,
so
you
can
see
that,
but
it
really
there's
not
just
a
cut
and
paste
solution
to
any
of
this.
It
really
depends
on
what
your
needs
are.
What
your
current
situation
is,
for
instance,
if
you
just
got
a
new
water
heater,
I,
probably
wouldn't
tell
you
to
immediately
replace
that
with
a
heat
pump,
water
heater.
E
No,
we,
but
we
got
we
remodeled
in
2009
and
I
got
a
tankless
and
it
hasn't
really
worked
since
I
got
it
so
I'm
happy
to
move
in
a
different
direction.
A
It
really
depends
on
what
your
situation
is.
So
once
again,
we
have
a
feature
on
the
Ellington
platform.
It's
called
the
clean
energy
roadmap.
G
A
Once
again,
if
you
sign
up
for
that
and
reach
out
to
the
Yellowstone
energy
experts,
we
can
kind
of
go
through
that
and
create
you
a
plan
by
understanding.
You
know
what
your,
what
your
current
water
heater
is,
what
your
current
HVAC
system
is,
and
we
can
give
you
a
plan
over.
You
know
five
to
15
years
to
kind.
A
All
right
well,
this
is
when
you
can
start
replacing
things.
This
is
when
you
can
start
putting
this
Tech
in
and
ideally
what
we
can
do
is
kind
of
be
that
One-Stop
shop
to
help.
A
You
understand
the
actions
that
you
can
take
and
guide
you
throughout
that
process,
because
it's
different
for
everyone
one,
but
it's
just
as
confusing
and
frustrating
for
everyone,
as
well
as
in
most
cases
so
I
would
please
encourage
you
to
reach
out
to
us
through
the
platform
sign
up
for
the
Electrify
Mountain
View,
and
there
is
a
tab
there
on
the
dashboard
to
connect
with
an
energy
expert,
and
we
can,
you
know,
help
you
set
up
with
the
clean
energy
roadmap
and
help
you
answer
some
of
those
questions
get
an
understanding
of
what
you
need
and
what
can
be
done
in
your
home.
E
A
Yep
yeah,
so
you
can
sign
up
it's
a
very
easy
sign
up
process.
You'll
then
put
some
information
about
your
energy
bills,
your
zip
code
and
stuff
yeah,
and
then-
and
actually
let
me
see
if
I
can
just
do
this
real,
quick,
so
I
can.
A
A
So
this
is
the
Electrify
Mountain
View
platform
that
you
can
see
here.
This
is
the
dashboard
that
you'll
see
when
you
log
in
okay
and
if
you
need
expert
advice,
connect
with
the
Elgin
energy
experts.
A
New
share
perfect:
can
you
guys
see
that
now.
C
A
Great,
so
this
is
the
dashboard
and
you
can
come
down
here.
Need
energy
expert
advice,
connect
with
the
yellowton
energy
expert.
You
can
just
type
in
your
question.
You
can
say
that
you
were
in
this
webinar
honestly.
F
G
E
A
Yeah,
of
course
that's
what
we're
here
for
and
we're
on
the
platform
as
well.
If
anyone
has
questions
about
this
I'm
happy
to
do
a
quick
walk
through
as
well,
so
that
you
can
see
all
that's
available,
but
yeah
happy
to
keep
answering
more
questions,
and
thank
you
for
that.
Mary.
G
A
We'll
get
back
to
you
through
support
or
through
me,
probably
and.
C
Thank
you,
Mary
Beth,
for
your
question.
Yeah
I'll
go
ahead
and
turn
it
to
Gabriel
for
their
question
and
after
that
it
will
be
Beverly.
F
B
B
F
One
of
their
customers,
so
Silicon
Valley,
clean
energy,
okay,
yeah,
because
I'm
also
I'm
getting
solar
now
and
I
want
to
Electrify
my
house
so
yeah,
so
I'll
turn
to
Silicon
Valley,
clean
energy.
Thank.
A
You
so
much
and
I've
put
my
email
here
actually
I'm,
not
sure
if
I
can
send
it
to
everyone,
you
might
have
just
sent
but
Whitney.
If
you
can
feel
free
to
put
my
email
in
there
as
well
and
Gabrielle
I'm
happy
to
try
to
help
you
out
as
well
and
answer
any
questions
that
you.
A
I
just
posted
in
the
chat
it
looks
like
it
only
went
to
the
hosts
and
panelists
Whitney.
If
you
could
possibly
resend
that
into
the
chat.
C
C
So
there
yeah
there
would
be
a
great
place
to
start
as
well
as
your
city,
sustainability
team.
But
we're
glad
to
see
you
here
too,
on
our
webinar
great
I'll.
Go
ahead
and
Now
call
on
Beverly
for
your
question
and
you
should
be
able
to
unmute.
G
Hi,
oh
wait:
unmute
hi
I
wanted
to
know
what
is
there
a
cost
for
consultation
with
yellow
tin.
A
Y,
no
there's
not
it's
no
cost
free,
no
obligation.
What
we
try
to
do
is
just
give
you
the
best
information
that
you
can
do
to
Electrify
your
home
and
so
well.
We
hopefully
do
encourage
you
to
use
the
yellowton
marketplace
which
is
available
here
to
purchase
some
of
these
products,
but
for
a
consultation.
Speaking
with
an
energy
expert,
there
is
there's
no
cost.
A
So
if
you
go
to
the
yellowton
marketplace,
you
can
connect
through
skytech
solar
to
request
quotes.
A
This
is
a
system
through
the
Bay
Area
sunshares
program,
and
so
these
are
qualified
installers
that
can
kind
of
give
you
the
best
information.
You
know
best
best
product
that
you're
looking
for.
C
B
And
while
everyone's
thinking
about
any
more
questions,
they
might
want
to
ask
I'm
going
to
put
one
more
poll
question
up,
which
is
how
did
you
hear
about
this
event?
If
you
choose
to
respond,
it
will
just
help
us
reach
more
people
for
our
future
events.
So
we
appreciate,
if
you
want
to
respond.
Thank
you.
A
And
I'll
just
quickly,
you
know,
show
the
platform
as
well.
If
anyone
wants
to
come
up
any
more
questions
before
we
end,
but
this
is
the
personalized
dashboard
that
you'll
all
get
access
to.
A
You
can
see
the
potential
savings
here
over
a
specific
time
frame.
Here
is
the
incentives
portal
to
see
all
that
you
qualify
for
and
my
internet's
a
little
slow.
So
that's
not
loading,
but
that's.
Okay
and
you
can
go
and
see
all
these
recommendations.
You
can
click,
learn
more
on
all
these
products.
There's
plenty
of
information
available
about
every
single
one
of
them
and
below
here.
You
can
also
calculate
the
savings
you
know
personalize.
A
Some
of
these
details
help
you
shop
for
a
model
understand
you
know
if
you
have
a
larger
commute
and
you
have
a
charger
at
your
office,
you
can
kind
of
project
these
kind
of
savings
to
see
I'll
be
charging
60
at
home.
We'll
also
use
my
office
charger
public
Chargers
as
well.
So
there's
plenty
of
fun
features
on
the
Ellington
platform
and
happy
to
answer
any
questions
about
this
as
well.
The
electron
Mountain
View
platform,
so
you
can
enjoy
the
benefits
of
it.
A
Yes,
you
can
personalize
your
settings
as
well
to
get
all
that
information
so
that
the
system
is
Opera.
You
know
optimized
to
your
home.
Your
energy
needs
your
savings.
These
are
all
zip
code,
specific
energy
information,
so
that
it's
accurate
and
can
help
you
purchase
with
confidence.
C
Great
I
think
there
are
no
more
questions,
so
thank
you
so
much
John
and
Whitney
for
hosting,
and
thank
you,
everyone
for
attending
our
webinar,
John
and
Whitney.
Any
closing
words
are,
let's
see.
Okay,
we
just
have
some
comments
from
Nikki
saying
this
is
great
hoping
to
get
an
heat
pump,
air
conditioner
and
heater
and
water
heater
soon,
and
they
have
an
induction
range
and
we
had
a
thank
you
from
Mary
Beth
as
well.
A
Happy
to
see
that
Nikki
also
encourage
you.
If
you
are
looking
at
induction,
cooktops
and
stuff,
please
sign
up
for
the
platform.
Hopefully
we
can
help.
You
find
some
information
on
there.
That
could
be
useful
for
you
as
well,
but
Whitney
City,
Mountain
View.
Thank
you
so
much
for
having
me
I
hope
this
was
an
educational
and
good
time
for
