From YouTube: January 5, 2023 Human Relations Commission Meeting
Description
Live teleconference meeting of the Mountain View Human Relations Commission
A
Oops
sorry,
lots
to
click
well
good
evening,
everybody
and
welcome
back
I,
hope
everybody
had
a
restorative
and
wonderful
break
in
the
last
month
and
I
know
that
this
is
some
of
for
some
of
you,
their
first
major
activity
of
the
year.
So
thank
you
for
being
here.
A
It's
actually
really
great
to
be
back
with
you
and
what
is
our
last
virtual
meeting
unless
something
has
changed
and
it's
EXT
yeah,
you
never
know,
but
theoretically,
our
last
virtual
meeting
after
three
years
and
it's
also
extremely
exciting,
to
welcome
our
new
members.
Jocelyn
Molly
and
Eric
today,
I
believe
the
greatest
number
of
new
HRC
members
we've
ever
sat
at
a
single
meeting.
So
this
is
a
time
of
really
really
big
change
for
the
HRC,
but
it's
also
an
incredible
opportunity
to
involve
to
evolve
and
to
grow.
A
I
know
I
personally,
look
forward
to
working
with
all
of
you
and
to
see
how
your
work
evolves
and
grows
in
our
community
and
I
assure
you
that
we
are
all
here
for
you
as
we
go
through
the
process
of
figuring
out
what
HR
RC
is
after
we
do
roll
call.
I
will
give
everyone
a
chance
to
introduce
them,
so
I
probably
should
have
told
you
that
in
advance,
but
you've
got
a
few
minutes
to
prepare.
A
So
I
have
to
read
a
little
bit
of
for
the
last
time.
A
very
special
who
wants
to
read
along
during
this
declared
state
of
emergency.
This
meeting
will
be
conducted
in
accordance
with
California
government
code,
section
54
953e,
as
authorized
by
a
resolution
of
the
city
council.
Please
contact
city.clerk
at
mountainview.gov
to
obtain
a
copy
of
the
applicable
resolution.
A
All
members
of
the
human
relations
commission
will
participate
in
the
meeting
by
video
conference
with
no
physical
meeting
location.
As
noticed
noted
on
the
meeting
agenda,
members
of
the
public
May
provide
oral
public
comments
during
the
public
comment
period
for
any
item
by
joining
the
zoom
webinar
at
https
forward.
Slash
mountainview.gov,
forward,
slash
meeting
any
emails
received
by
5
pm
today
reported
to
the
commission
and
I
believe
there
were
none.
I
will
now
ask
the
principal
management
management
analyst
Laurel
James
to
proceed
with
roll
call.
B
Thank
you,
Vice
chair
Sylvester,
before
I
proceed
with
roll
call.
I
do
want
to
let
the
Commissioners
know
that
I
received
notice
from
commissioner
rigster
this
evening
that
she
will
be
resigning
from
the
HRC
effective
immediately
and
though
we're
sad
to
see
her,
but
I
did
want
to
let
you
know
prior
to
commencing
the
roll
call
that
she
would
not
be
joining
us
this
evening.
B
So
with
that
said,
when
I
call
your
name,
please
say
here,
commissioner
Baird
here,
commissioner
yeah
commissioner
poikon
yeah
commissioner
Smith
here,
commissioner
Webb
here
and
vice
chair
Sylvester,
here.
A
Wonderful,
it
actually
looks
like
Eric
is
here
twice
I
so
since
we're
most
of
us
are
quite
new
to
each
other,
I'd
like
to
just
take
a
quick
few
moments
to
do
introductions
I'll
start
with
the
the
HRC
members
who
were
here
before
this
meeting.
A
So
if
the
three
of
you
I
guess,
that's
two
of
you
and
me
can
share
briefly
about
yourself
how
long
you've
been
on
the
HRC?
What
you
like
about
the
HRC
and
one
piece
of
advice
you
can
give
to
your
incoming
Commissioners,
please
give
that
give
it
give
a
share.
D
This
is
my
first
full
term
on
the
commission,
so
I've
been
on
for
about
a
year
now,
and
one
thing
I
do
like
about
it
is
we
actually
have
impact
in
the
community
and
and
the
things
that
we
do,
people
appreciate
what
we're
doing
for
the
community,
and
it
totally
makes
a
difference
now.
The
thing
that
the
advice
I
want
to
give
you
is
be
patient,
ask
questions,
learn
but
don't
be
afraid
to
give
your
own
advice.
C
Hello,
everyone
and
glad
to
see
new
new
faces,
I'm
looking
forward
to
working
with
all
of
you,
so
so
yes,
I'm,
Nirvana
and
I
think
this
is
my
second
year
yes
yeah
my
second
year,
I've
really
enjoyed
HRC
I
used
to
even
attend
meetings.
Prior
to
my
joining
I
had
also
interviewed
one
time
to
join
I
didn't
make
it
I
knew
it
was
only
a
matter
of
time
and
I
think
what
I've
liked
and
enjoyed
more
much
of
my
time
here
is
I'm.
C
Just
partnering
with
other
Commissioners
and
just
sharing
ideas
and
like
have
your
set
too,
is
just
making
an
impact.
That's
really
valued
I
mean
you
know
by
you
know
our
community,
my
advice
would
be
to
you,
know,
try
and
be
communicative,
so
we
all
are
always
on
the
same
page.
That
would
be
greatly
appreciated
and
also
to
come
prepared,
because
if
we
come
prepared,
then
you
know
our
meetings
will
run
much
smoothly
as
well.
C
So
it's
not
just
my
too
little
sense
there,
but
just
looking
forward
to
working
with
all
of
you
so
welcome
new
commissioners.
A
Thank
you
very
much,
commissioner.
Rookie
do
well
I
think
everyone
knows
me:
I'm
Ida,
Rose,
Sylvester
I've
been
on
HRC
four
and
a
half
years,
which
feels
like
a
lot,
but
it
isn't
quite
a
lot.
I
guess:
I've
just
entered
my
official
second
term.
A
I
have
really
enjoyed
making
an
impact
in
the
community
like,
like
Javier,
said
we
do
a
lot
of
work
that
has
immediate
impact
I,
particularly
like
the
events
we
do,
bringing
together
Community
into
conversations
that
they
may
not
have
that
people
in
our
community
may
not
be
able
to
have
or
know
how
to
have
otherwise
so
I
really
really
enjoy
building
community
and
dialogue
through
the
work
on
the
HRC
I.
Think
my
advice
to
the
new
Commissioners
is
always
bring
your
best
to
the
work
you
do
on
the
HRC
and
I
know.
A
You
all
know
how
to
do
that.
That's
why
you're
here,
but
always
you
always
bring
your
heart,
always
bring
your
mind,
bring
your
curiosity
and
always
be
curious
about
new
ways.
We
can
make
big
impact
in
the
community,
because
this
is
a
chance
to
do
that.
So
I
really
hope
you
enjoy.
That
and
I
hope
you
enjoy
your
time
on
the
HRC
as
much
as
I'm
enjoying
mine.
So
that's
my
hope
now
to
enter
for
introductions
of
the
new
folks.
A
If
you
just
tell
us
a
little
bit
about
yourself
a
little
bit
about
why
you're
here
on
the
HRC
and
one
thing,
you're
really
looking
forward
to
doing
on
the
HRC
in
your
first
year,
I'll,
let
you
guys
volunteer
each
other.
E
My
name
is
Eric
blakecon
I'm
very
happy
to
meet
y'all
next
month
in
person
will
be
even
better
I,
currently
work
for
the
county
of
Santa
Clara
Library
District
as
a
community
outreach
specialist,
also,
the
vice
president
of
Silicon
Valley
young
Dems,
and
a
current
candidate
for
80
23,
our
current
District,
as
well
so
looking
forward
to
representing
y'all
in
that
respect.
But
why
I'm
here
is
really
to
one
get
more
involved
with
the
community.
E
I've
fallen
in
love
with
here
in
Mountain
View
ever
since
working
with
CSA
and
also
with
the
Department
of
the
census,
at
one
point,
I've
loved
the
environment
of
just
reaching
out
and
helping
those
who
are
more
needy
in
the
communities,
whether
they
be
RV,
unhoused
or
even
those
warhows
are
elderly
as
well
and
being
able
to
create
dialogue
amongst
different,
so
I'm,
looking
forward
to
working
with
that
with
y'all.
So
thank
you.
F
I'll
go
next
quickly,
I'm
kind
of
newer
to
the
community
and
I'm
just
really
excited
to
be
part
of
it.
Sorry,
Molly,
Smith
and
looking
forward
to
getting
more
involved
and
experiencing
more
that
this
community
and
city
has
to
offer
and
hoping
to
offer
more
in
those
regards.
F
Honestly,
just
getting
I
want
to
get
really
strong
bearings
and
learn
as
much
as
I
can
to
be
involved
and
help
others
get.
H
I'll
go
hi,
everyone,
I'm,
Jocelyn,
Baird
I,
already
forgot
the
questions,
but
I
can
guess
basically
I'm
born
and
raised
in
Mountain
View
lived
here.
My
whole
life,
except
for
a
brief
stint
when
I
was
in
college
and
love,
Mountain,
View
I'm,
currently
working
for
Recology
local
garbage
company
as
the
way
through
a
manager,
so
I
work
a
lot
with
businesses
and
schools
and
apartment
complexes
and
just
kind
of
getting
to
see
a
different
slice
of
Mountain
View
every
day
which
I
really
enjoy.
H
But
before
that
I
mean
I
worked
downtown
at
a
coffee
shop
for
a
very
long
time.
I
still
pick
up
shifts
there
very
occasionally
and
I
am
here,
because
it
seemed
like
it'd
be
neat
seemed
like
it'd,
be
fun
and
I
like
events
and
I
asked
Ida
Rose
how
I
could
get
involved
after
I
attended
the
history
of
housing
event
and
she
was
like
well
funny.
You
ask
so
I
think
it'll
be
cool.
Looking
for
ways
to
contribute.
A
Well,
thank
you
all
that
was
wonderful
to
hear
a
little
bit
more
about
you
and
see
the
passion
you
have
for
the
community
and
get
even
more
excited
about
the
work
that
will
start
you
on
hopefully
as
soon
as
tonight.
So
next
on
the
agenda
are
minutes.
Approval.
The
minutes
from
the
December
1st
2022
meet
regular
meeting
have
been
delivered
to
commissioner
commission
members,
sorry
and
copies
posted
on
the
city
hall
bulletin
board.
If
there
are
no
Corrections
or
additions
a
motion,
it
is
in
order
to
approve
these
minutes.
B
Correct,
thank
you.
Vice,
chair
Sylvester,
commissioner.
Bear
do
we
say
I,
yes,
I
realized,
just
as
I
called
upon
you
that
I
did
not
give
more
direction.
If
you
can
vote
bye,
yes
or
no
is
also
acceptable.
So,
thank
you,
commissioner
mokito.
Yes,.
E
D
A
And
also
as
a
point
of
order,
abstaining
is
also
allowed
if
what
we
have
people
get
very,
very
creative,
so
I'll
just
put
that
out
there.
The
next
item
on
the
agenda
is
item
four
oral
Communications
from
the
public.
This
portion
of
the
meeting
is
reserved
for
persons
wishing
to
address
the
commission
on
any
matter
not
on
the
agenda.
Speakers
are
allowed
to
speak
on
any
topic
for
up
to
three
minutes
during
this.
This
section
state
law
prohibits
the
commission
from
discussing
or
acting
on,
non-agenda
items.
A
I
see
just
everyone
check
me
I
see
no
members
of
the
public
on
the
line,
so
we
will
not
have
to.
We
cannot
take
feedback
great,
so
oops.
Moving
on
to
item
five
unfinished
business.
Our
first
action
here
is
5.1
our
mid-year
work
plan
review.
This
item
is
to
review
the
HRC
work
plan
for
fiscal
year,
2022
2023
and
discuss
HRC
activities
for
the
remainder
of
the
fiscal
year,
which
goes
to
June
20th
2023..
No
action
will
be
taken
on
this
item.
A
B
You
very
much
Laurel,
thank
you,
Vice,
chair
Sylvester,
so
as
I've
discovered
several
of
you,
and,
as
is
the
plan
for
this
evening,
I'll
provide
a
brief
oral
update
on
the
commission's
work
plan
that
runs
through
fiscal
year
22
through
fiscal
year,
23.,
which,
in
the
city
of
Mountain
View
that
begins
July,
1st
2022
and
ends
on
June
30th
2023..
B
For
this
work
plan,
update
I
do
in
addition
to
providing
you
some
information
about
where
we
are
in
terms
of
implementing
the
work
plan,
we
will
have
a
conversation
about
subcommittee
assignments
in
order
to
give
the
new
Commissioners
an
opportunity
to
participate
in
the
subcommittees
and
for
continuing
Commissioners
to
volunteer
for
any
subcommunities
on
which
they
do
not
currently
serve.
If
they're
interested.
Of
course,
the
new
Commissioners
will
be
given
some
preference,
as
everyone
who
already
is
a
continuing
commissioner,
has
an
existing
assignment.
B
Vice,
chair,
Sylvester,
suggested
and
I
think
what
what
we
intend
to
do
this
evening
is
to
provide
these
updates
on
the
status
of
the
work
plan
then
continue
on
to
items
5.2
and
5.3
on
the
agenda
which
are
updates
from
the
subcommittees
themselves
and
circle
back
to
this
discussion.
In
order
for
all
of
you
to
have
a
better
sense
of
the
work
that
you
might
be
joining
in
where
you'd
volunteer
for
a
subcommittee.
So
with
that
said,
a
work
plan
that,
with
an
update
section,
was
included
in
the
agenda
packet
for
this
meeting.
B
The
work
plan
is
moving
along
and
in
progress.
There
are
a
couple
of
things
that
I
would
like
to
highlight
for
you
in
that
work.
Plan
first,
is
that
one
of
the
ongoing
or
regular
items
that
is
annual
in
the
work
plan
item
G
is
participating
in
the
annual
spring
family
parade.
That
event
will
be
upcoming
in
April
once
there's
a
date
available.
I
will
let
you
know
when
to
expect
to
attend
that
event
as
a
heads
up
for
those
of
you
who
may
not
already
be
familiar
with
this
activity.
B
Additionally,
one
of
the
other
ongoing
items
is
to
attend,
participate
in
and
observe
the
council
neighborhoods
committee
meetings.
This
is
item
number
e
on
the
work
plan,
I'm
not
aware
of
the
Commissioners
attending
some
of
those
fall
meeting
dates
which
have
already
passed,
but
once
I
have
the
spring
meeting
schedule
and
I've
reached
out
to
our
neighborhood
manager
to
ask
for
that
information.
I
will
provide
it
to
you
so
that
you
can
make
plans
accordingly.
B
So,
in
addition
to
those
ongoing
work
items
which
again
they're
on
the
first
and
second
pages
of
that
work,
plan
update,
there
are
three
items
that
are
specifically
for
fiscal
year:
2223
that
were
recommended
by
the
commission
and
approved
by
the
council
for
completion
in
this
fiscal
year.
One
of
these
is
to
organize
a
storing
telling
project,
documenting
and
sharing
experiences
of
housing,
insecurity
and
homelessness
in
the
Mountain
View
Community,
possibly
culminating
in
a
civility
Roundtable
event
or
something
similar.
B
The
subcommittee
has
met
several
times
and
consists
of
Vice
chair
Sylvester,
as
well
as
commissioner
I.
Believe,
commissioner
Annette
Lin,
who
was
previously
the
chair
of
the
HRC,
was
on
that
commission.
That
excuse
me
subcommittee
as
well
along
with
commissioner
Webb,
and
is
that
correct,
commissary,
yes
I
believe
so
so
there
is
currently
a
vacancy
on
that
subcommittee.
The
event
related
to
this
housing
and
security
project
storytelling
project
is
currently
scheduled
for
May
25th
2023
and
it
will
be
held
at
the
Mountain
View
Community
Center
in
the
Redwood
Room.
B
That
item
is
also
in
progress
currently
I
believe
the
only
member
of
that
subcommittee
is
commissioner
Webb,
as
the
other
two
members
of
that
subcommittee
are
no
longer
in
the
HRC,
and
this
is
an
item
that
was
carried
forward
from
the
fiscal
year
21
to
22
plan
and
then.
Finally,
the
third
item
on
the
work
plan
is
to
organize
the
civility
Roundtable
or
other
type
of
opportunity
for
facilitated
Community
dialogue
about
mental
health.
This
project
is
also
in
progress.
B
The
subcommittee
currently
consists
of
commissioner
Noel
kiru
and
vice
chair,
Sylvester
and
the
event
is
tentatively
scheduled
for
late
June
2023,
although
no
date
has
been
selected
yet
so
that's
the
status
of
all
of
the
work
plan
items
at
the
moment
there
are
others
which
have
been
completed
that
are
annual,
including
the
multilingual
engagement
program.
Excuse
me,
Multicultural
engagement,
program,
update,
which
was
received
in
the
fall,
and
we
also
received
an
update
on
the
cdbg
and
home
funding
request
process
for
this
year,
which
will
begin
at
the
next
HRC
meeting.
B
I
believe
that
we've
lost
Vice,
chair
Sylvester,
oh,
who
just
hopped
on
just
in
time
to
catch
catch.
The
last
moment
of
my
presentation,
at
which
point
definition,
questions.
A
Sorry
about
that,
my
internet
failed
something
just
happened
and
it
just
blipped
which
it
often
does
in
the
rain
anyway.
That
won't
happen
again.
Will
it.
A
A
A
Thinks
we
will
not,
for
we
will
not
miss
at
all
shortly
so
I
see
no
questions.
Thank
you
very
much
with
the
presentation.
Laurel
I'm.
Sorry
I
missed
all
of
it.
With
that
said,
this
is
the
time
we
would
normally
take
comments
from
the
public,
but
seeing
none
I.
We
will
move
along
to
the
next
item
on
the
agenda.
A
Sorry
catching
back
up.
The
next
part
of
the
agenda
will
be
dedicated
to
our
subcommittees.
Providing
updates.
These
will
probably
be
pretty
brief
because
of
the
holiday
recess,
but
it
will
be
a
good
chance
for
the
new
folks
to
get
to
learn
about
what
subcommittees
we
have
and
what
they're
doing
and
who's
on
them
and
at
the
end
of
the
updates
from
the
Committees,
we
will
have
a
chance
to
put
new
people
on
to
act.
All
the
Committees,
so
item
5.2
is
the
housing
and
security
subcommittee.
A
A
Commissioner
Webb
I
may
turn
to
you
for
some
backup,
I.
Think
most
of
us
pretty
much
checked.
I
saw
that
look
I.
Think
most
of
us
checked
out
pretty
much
right
after
our
last
meeting.
So
I
will
just
provide
this
as
an
update
as
to
what
this
commission
has
been
doing
and
where
it's
at,
where
it
will
be
going.
A
A
We've
got
an
interesting,
hidden,
potentially
hidden,
surprise,
which
I
guess
this
is
public,
so
nobody,
it's
not
so
hidden,
but
where
we
will
potentially
mix
our
on
House
people.
Unstably
House
people
on
in
tables
like
round
tables
in
the
discussion
without
having
anyone
know
that
they
are
unhoused
or
unstably
housed
and
have
discussions
at
the
tables
around
what
it
means
to
be
housed.
A
Experiences
around
housing,
things
like
that,
that's
all
TBD
and
then
the
second
part
of
the
event
would
be
a
chance
for
people
for
the
unstably
house
to
get
up
and
talk
about
their
experiences
and
answer
or
answer
questions
and
potentially
even
ask
questions
of
the
audience
as
the
second
part.
That
subcommittee
is
currently
Commissioners
Webb
and
myself,
so
we
do
have
an
opening.
A
D
A
A
Yes,
those
meetings
with
three
or
four
of
us,
from
the
HRC
and
from
staff
are
already.
C
A
I'm
suspecting
him
in
in
this
new
year
that'll.
Hopefully,
things
will
get
a
little
bit
easier
for
our
subcommittees.
H
I
have
a
question
on
that
yeah,
the
Roundtable
event.
H
H
A
To
date,
we've
worked
extensively
with
reach
potential
reach
potential
movement,
and
we
are
definitely
going
to
be
talking
to
other
partners.
Oh
gosh
in
the
coming
weeks
is
going
to
be
necessary,
I
realize
just
how
soon
May
is
now,
so
we
will
be
looking
at
we.
We
will
be
working
with
our
partners
to
identify
the
right
people
to
make
sure
that
people
understand
the
event,
feel
respected
and
included,
and
we're
working
to
make
sure
that
we
we
do
this
right.
H
A
Any
other
questions
at
this
time
or
comments.
I
would
take
public
comment
at
this
point,
but
there
are
no
members
of
the
public
in
attendance
right
now.
So
next
up
is
5.3
and
the
mental
health
subcommittee.
The
mental
health
subcommittee
will
present
an
oral
update.
No
action
will
be
taken.
Commissioner
Wookie
do
will
provide
the
oral
update
and
tell
us
not
just
what
her
most
recent
update
is,
but
also
a
little
bit
about
what
this
subcommittee
is
up
to
and
what
openings
there
are.
C
Yes,
yes,
so
I'll
come,
our
subcommittee
is
comprised
of
myself
and
vice
chair,
Ida,
Rose
and
we've
had
two
meetings
so
far,
and
we're
still,
of
course,
and
the
person
walking
a
number
of
things
out,
but
we
I
think
the
main
goal
about
mental
health
is
like
it's
a
Hot
Topic
everywhere
now,
and
so
this
is
something
that
we
are
really
passionate
about
and
we've
discussed.
C
C
But
again,
the
whole
dragon
is
to
this
Sigma
stigmatize,
Mental,
Health,
and
so
people
can
find
help
and
resources,
and
one
of
the
things
we
talked
about
is
probably
having
put
to
to
having
to
put
together
some
resources,
and
maybe
in
our
area
or
bringing
some
experts
that
could
talk
about,
speak
on
this
on
this
topic
and
have
resources
available
to
our
community,
so
people
can
have
somewhere
to
reach
out
to
so
we're
still
working
on
some
of
those
Partnerships
as
well
as
let
me
go
with
my
notes,
because
we
just
had
just
a
few
meetings
or
what
we
talked
about
the
last
time
is
still
trying
to
come
up
with
what
format
this
will
take
because
of
the
nature
of
this
topic
is
very
sensitive.
C
We
talked
about
maybe
having
a
panel
and
some
presenters
and
questions
and
probably
having
some
people
talk
about
that.
Testimony
of
maybe
some
of
the
services
that
they
have
already
used
and
how
the
impact
and
what
change,
maybe
it
has
brought
to
their
lives.
C
C
Well
we're
looking
forward
to
the
impact
that
it
will
bring
to
our
community,
especially
giving
that
mental
health
affects
you
know
almost
everyone,
if
not
everyone,
we
want
to
not
pretend
and
that
this
doesn't
affect
our
lives
and
to
be
able
to
bring
some
good
resources,
especially
to
our
community.
So
we
do
have
an
opening,
because
one
of
our
members,
as
you
had
resigned-
and
so
we
would
like
to
have
one
of
you
join
us,
and
if
you
have
any
questions
for
us,
please
go
ahead.
Thank
you.
A
It
does
vary
a
little
bit
typically,
especially
because
Zoom
can
be
noisy.
We
usually
use
the
raised
hands
feature
either
raise
hands
feature
or
the
waving
at
the
camera
feature,
but
I'm,
open-minded.
E
Awesome.
Thank
you
no
yeah.
Thank
you,
commissioner.
Nirvana
for
your
presentation.
I
will
learn
your
last
name
soon
enough.
I
promise
I'm.
C
Going
to
help
everyone
later
on
how
to
say
my
lesson:
it's
really
very
easy,
and
so
I
could
do
it
now,
if
you're
ready,
I'm.
C
E
E
I
was
gonna
say
thank
you
so
much
for
giving
some
insight
on
that,
because
one
of
the
immediate
questions
and
I'm
glad
to
know
it's
in
the
development
phase
are
like
kind
of
what
is
the
angle
of
this
committee?
Are
we
trying
to
ask
for
more
resources?
Is
it
I,
don't
know
creating
better
access
Pathways
to
access
for
them,
for
not
only
our
house
members
but
aren't
house
members
as
well
like
who's
accessing
these
resources?
More
importantly,
so
yeah
very
curious
to
find
out
more
about
this.
Thank
you.
A
I
guess
one
thing
I
should
have
said
for
most
of
our
subcommittees.
We
do
they're
a
little
bit
in
the
norming
and
storming
phase.
Still
particularly
I
would
say
this
one
is
particularly
in
a
little
bit
of
a
norming
and
storming
phase,
so
I
don't
want
to
put
it
this
way,
but
the
truth
is
the
answer
to
your
question
will
probably
be
largely
dependent
on
what
the
new
three,
the
three
people
who
sit
on
the
subcommittee
going
forward,
decide
I.
A
Think
there's
been
a
little
bit
of
not
struggle
but
a
little
bit
of
like
well.
We
know
this
is
super
important,
but
what
are
we
trying
to
achieve?
I
think
the
thing
we've
solidified
is.
We
want
to
take
away
the
stigma
of
talking
about
Mental
Health
to
what
end
or
with
what
result
is
still
TBD,
and
we
were
actually
in
the
middle
of
doing
work,
looking
at
different
kinds
of
resources
that
could
be
brought
to
play
different
kinds
of
speakers
that
could
be
brought
to
play.
A
So
all
of
these
subcommittees
have
a
lot
of
room
for
people
to
you
know,
pull
themselves
up
and
Jump
Right
In
I
see
it
and
I'm
not
sure.
If
that
answered
your
question
well
enough,
hopefully
I'm.
C
Sorry,
let
me
let
me
add
a
little
bit
to
that.
I
think
your
question
might
be,
of
course,
in
the
just
joining,
and
not
really
knowing
this
part
of
it
is
at
least
from
what
I
know.
I
hope,
I
say
this
correctly
and
Laura
can
correct
me.
Is
you
know
everything?
C
The
vice
chair
just
said
is
is
correct,
but
also
the
city
does
not
have
any
kind
of
funding
for
for
this.
So
that's
why
it's
in
this
forming
and
in
numbing
stage,
but
it's
something
that
we
feel
is
very
critical,
especially
in
our
society.
C
Today
we
hear
it
almost
every
single
day
and
that's
why
we
want
to
bring
this
to
our
community
and
come
up
with
ways
to
provide
some
kind
of
safe
place
where
people
can
express
whatever
they're
dealing
with
and
also
maybe
put
some
kind
of
resources
and
partner
with
maybe
some
organizations
maybe
locally
here
that
people
can,
you
know,
reach
out
to
on
their
own.
You
know
we
just
don't
want
to
pretend,
because
this
is
something
that
we
deal
with
it's
so
real.
C
Just
like
we
dealt
with
covid,
you
know
and
the
after
effects
is.
It
has
also
just
increased
the
mental
out
of
so
many
people.
You
know,
and
some
people
can
tell
their
different
stories.
If
you
have
friends
and
family
that
have
gone
through
in
the
past
few
years,
they
could
tell
you
I
also
have
my
own
stories
to
tell
and
so
just
having
a
place,
even
if
it's
a
community
or
some
person
that
you
could
reach
out
to
so
you
can
live
day
to
day
in
your
life.
C
C
You
know,
those
are
the
kind
of
things
we
want
people
to
be
able
to
speak
on,
you
know
and
make
them
feel
safe
and,
like
you
know,
Vice
chair
also
so
is
to
remove
the
stigma
of
mental
health
like
it
used
to
be,
nobody
would
talk
about
it.
You
know
it
was
just
a
stigma
and
people
suffered
in
silence.
I
will
say
no
not
anymore,
because
we
all
deal
with
it
at
some
level
and
at
some
point
in
our
lives.
So
okay,
hope
that
helps.
A
H
Yeah
I
have
another
question
regarding
the
mental
health
subcommittee
and
I
realize
you
can't
answer
it
because
we're
still
sort
of
in
the
talking
it
through
a
figuring
it
out
face
so
I.
Guess
it's
more
of
just
asking
for
your
thoughts.
But
do
you
think
that
this
event
or
whatever
it
ends
up
being?
H
Do
you
see
it
as
potentially
being
narrowed
to
focus
on
one
particular
I?
Don't
I
want
to
say
I
can't
think
of
a
better
way
to
say
it,
but
sector
of
mental
health
or
Focus
area,
for
example,
something
that
might
be
again
I,
don't
want
to
say
popular
in
the
community,
but
something
that
the
community
might
be
calling
for
so,
for
example,
mental
access
to
Mental,
Health
Services
in
schools.
That's
really
big
these
days!
That's
something
that
you
know
motivates
a
lot
of
parents
to
get
engaged
and
a
lot
of
students.
H
But
it's
also,
like
a
very
you,
know,
specific
type
of
of
Lane
to
try
and
figure
out
where
the
resources
are.
What
the
needs
are
so
I'm
just
wondering
if,
if
you're
seeing
that
this
might
go
towards
a
specific
type
of
services
to
highlight
or
more
of
a
general
hey,
here's
what
we
have
at
Mountain,
View
Here's
To,
be
honest.
H
What
we're
lacking
you
know:
here's
how
we
can
all
pitch
in
to
to
make
our
community
a
better
place
for
access
these
resources
and
just
generally
making
people
feel
less
alone
and
I
realize
that's
a
super
broad
question,
so
maybe
less
less
of
a
straight
answer
and
what
are
your
thoughts
on
it?.
C
Yeah,
like
you
acknowledge,
is
really
very
Broad
and
we
we
have
touched
on
it
and
that's
the
two
meetings
that
we've
had,
and
we
can't
say
for
sure
at
this
point,
but
we
know
that
yes,
it
is
very
broad,
but
one
of
the
things
that
we
were
clear
about
was.
We
know
that
you
know
it's
something
that
every
almost
everyone
deals
with
on
the
day-to-day
and
if
we
can
narrow
it,
it
would
be
more
more
up.
Just
you
know
to
something
around
just
coping
with
day-to-day
how
to
cope.
C
You
know
with
day-to-day
learning
new
skills
on
how
today
you
know
how
to
even
get
yourself
out
of
bed.
C
Maybe
you
know
to
get
on
with
the
day
or
something
like
that,
because
it's
very
broad
if
we
just
stick
to
one
specific
thing
but
I
think
like
device
just
said,
as
we
progress
in
our
planning,
I
think
things
will
become
more
clearer
and
maybe
we'll
come
sometimes
more
General
lives
that
might
be
more
beneficial
to
everyone,
because
we
don't
want
to
exclude
maybe
just
youth
or
just
adults
or
seniors
or,
of
course,
in
the
school.
C
The
youth
deal
a
lot
with
with
suicide
ideation
and
we
are
aware
of
that,
but
we
could
maybe
put
a
little
bit
of
emphasis
on
something
like
that.
But
again
everyone
needs
it.
Everyone
needs
it
I'm,
a
grown
woman
and
I
needed
somewhere.
When
you
know
I
cried
out
for
help
too
so
we'll
see
as
we
go
along
we'll
you
know,
whoever
joins
our
subcommittee
I.
C
Welcome
you
to
yeah,
you
know,
just
you
know,
bring
up
your
ideas
and
thoughts
on
everything
and
we
can
look
at
it
and
narrow
things
down,
because,
of
course
we
cannot
and
we're
not
Professionals
in
that
area.
So
we
can't
we
can
make
it
too
broad
and
we
will
lose
people,
and
you
know
we
can't
speak
to
every
every
area
of
mental
health
because
it
varies,
you
know,
but
the
day-to-day
you
know
help
I
think
would
be
great
to
just
even
just
find
a
friend.
C
You
know
call
somebody
you
know:
what's
your
happy
place,
things
like
that
I
can
help
you
just
get
up
and
make
your
day
productive,
but
if
it's
deeper
thoughts,
that's
where
you
have
to
reach
out
to
the
professionals,
because
you
know
yeah,
so
that's
something
that
we
have
to
fine-tune
as
we
move
along
I
hope
that
helps.
A
A
Seeing
none,
we
would
normally
take
public
comment,
but
we
have
no
members
of
the
public
in
attendance
right
now.
Laurel
I
apologize
for
missing
what
you
may
have
said
about
the
bystander
intervention
training
we
weren't
going
to
have
an
update
on
the
agenda,
but
I
don't
know
if
people
know
what
that
subcommittee
is
doing.
B
A
So
if
anyone
has
any
questions
about
that
I
guess
now,
we
'd
technically
be
not
quite
the
right
time
to
ask,
but
I
guess
no
time
like
the
present.
If
anyone
has
any
questions
about
bystander
intervention,
training
beyond
what
Laurel
has
already
talked
about,
this
would
be
a
good
chance
to
bring
it
up.
I
see,
commissioner
Barrett
has
a
question.
H
Hi,
sorry,
for
all
the
questions,
questions
are
great
for
the
Bison
intervention.
Training
I'm
just
wondering.
H
Is
there
some
sort
of
curriculum
that
we're
trying
to
bring
to
the
community
I
know
that
you
know
obviously
there's
many
different
ways
to
approach
trainings
but
I,
just
I,
don't
know
if
there's
like
some
endorsed
curriculum
that
you
know
has
been
evaluated
and
found
to
be
a
good
approach
or
a
good
sort
of
set
of
principles
that
we
can
communicate
to
the
community
or
are
we
kind
of
just
partnering
with
different
organizations
like
Public,
Safety
or
or
other
folks
that
you
know
know
what
they're
talking
about
to
kind
of
synthesize
topics
for
a
training
I'm.
D
D
But
we
know
that
that
was
done
in
the
past.
So
we're
not
going
to
reinvent
it
we're
going
to
we're
gonna,
whatever
we're
doing
we're
gonna
piggyback
off
to
some
other
resource
to
assist
us
in
this
and
then
the
rest
of
the
Outreach
portion
of
it.
We'll
we'll
work
on
that
together
and
the
good
thing
about
this
committee
is
we're
starting
it
from
pretty
much
from
scratch.
But
the
old
Commissioners
had
a
lot
of
great
ideas
and
we've
got
notes
on
what
they've
done
and
and
as
I
go
through
the
notes.
D
I'll
recall
most
of
those
conversations
so
I'll
be
able
to
to
come
back
and
talk
to
you
more
about
it.
If
you
decide
to
join
the
committee,
I
think
it's
a
very
valuable
committee,
especially
for
where
we
live,
and
it
doesn't
matter
what
Walk
of
Life
you're
on
you're
you're
part
of
everyone
has
some
kind
of
it
could
be
conflict
resolution.
D
How
do
you
interact
with
them
and
it-
and
it's
not
just
you-
know
only
ones
that
are
not
prone
to
having
some
discrimination
or
some
kind
of
we'll
say,
interaction.
That's
a
negative
interaction
in
the
public
or
CIS
males,
and
and
as
you
can
see,
there
are
none
here.
A
Thank
you
very
much,
commissioner
Webb
I've
got
to
say
I've,
never
seen
our
commissioners
Hard
Sell
the
openings
on
their
subcommittee.
So
much.
We
are
really
really
passionate
about
what
we're
doing
this
year.
I
can
tell
you
that
that's
very,
it's
always
true,
I
think
it's
extra
true
this
year.
A
So
with
that
said,
I
just
want.
To
recap:
there
are
a
number
of
openings.
There
are
one
on
other
two
on
bystander
intervention,
training,
there's
one
on
the
housing,
insecurity
subcommittee
and
one
on
the
mental
health
subcommittee.
A
A
A
It's
really
the
heart
and
soul
of
the
age
oops.
So
sorry,
there's
a
little
bit
of
noise
in
the
background
subcommittee
assignments,
typically
last
just
the
length
of
the
work
plan
year.
So
what
you'd
be
signing
up
for
today
would
be
through
just
the
end
of
June
or
with
the
end
of
the
projects,
and
people
often
ask
how
much
time
do
these
subcommittees?
Take
that's
a
little
bit
hard
of
a
question
to
answer
honestly.
A
Most
of
the
subcommittees
have
a
one
or
two
one
or
two
hour,
long,
I'm,
sorry,
one
or
two
hour
long
meetings
a
month.
That's
somewhat
variable.
There
are
emails
in
between
and
depending
on
the
project
deliverable
which
you
can
see
can
be
very
different
types
of
deliverables.
There
will
be
extra
work
that
some
people
will
take
on
to
help
push
those
projects
forward.
A
A
Excuse
me
before
we
look
at
the
signing
subcommittee.
I
assume
that
the
three
existing
Commissioners
on
the
call
all
are
happy
in
their
current
assignments.
A
And
I
think
that's
a
thumbs
up
from
commissioner
Webb
great,
so
the
easiest
way
to
probably
do
this
is
to
just
do
a
straw
poll
to
see
who
is
interested
in
what
and
I
I
guess
now
would
be
a
great
time
if
anyone
has
any
questions
about
what
these
subcommittees
do
or
their
commitment
to
them,
or
how
this
is
all
going
to
work
now
would
probably
be
a
really
good
time
to
say
something.
Commissioner
Smith.
F
Quick
question:
I
am
very
interested
in
the
housing
one,
but
I
recognize
I
want
to
say
that
there
was
a
date
on
there
or
May
25th
on
that
yes,
I'm
getting
a
laurel
heading
on
and
with
that
I
know
that
I
have
a
conflict
of
dates
on
that.
Could
I
still
be
part
of
the
commission
and
unfortunately
missed
the
finale.
Would
that
be
a
problem
in
those
cases.
A
I'm
Laurel
I'm
wondering
if
you
have
a
thought,
I
think
the
answer
is
it's
completely
fine,
as
long
as
we
have
enough
Commissioners
to
actually
staff
the
event
whatever
that
event
looks
like
so,
there
typically
is
a
typically
for
an
in-person
event
close
of
project.
There
typically
is
a
yeah
some
amount
of
work
on
site
before
the
meeting
the
day
of
and
making
sure
the
meeting
runs
smoothly
and
running
different
parts
of
the
meeting
sort
of
taking
care
of
things
on
site.
B
I
agree
with
you,
Vice
chair,
Sylvester
I
think
it
would
be
probably
fine
in
this
particular
case.
You
know.
B
A
A
Well,
thank
you
for
having
an
honest
assessment
of
that
we'll.
Let
you
think
about
that
yeah,
our
those
of
you
who
are
at
our
history
of
housing
event
that
was
incredibly
Hands-On.
We
were
physically
building
things
in
the
room,
putting
things
together
in
the
room
for
hours
that
day.
So
it's
not
that
kind
of
event.
I,
don't
think
so.
Do
we
have
any
other
questions
about
what
committee
okay,
so
I'll
go
back
to
asking
via
straw
poll
of
the
new
Commissioners
who
is
interested
in
the
housing
and
security
committee.
A
So
that's
two
for
one
opening.
Let's
keep
going.
The
mental
health
subcommittee
or
Jocelyn
did
I
miss
something
yeah.
H
Sorry
I
didn't
use
the
oh
raise
hand,
function,
I,
use
the
point.
Finger
function,
sorry.
A
If
you
look
like
I'm
watching
a
tennis
match,
that's
because
I'm
trying
to
watch
the
hands
go
up
over
there.
Okay,
so
three
of
of
you
mental
health
subcommittee
of
the
new
Commissioners.
Is
anyone
interested
in
joining
that
there
is
one
opening
there.
A
A
Eric
Jocelyn
and
Molly
and
I
did
forget
to
mention
that,
and
people
often
take
multiple
subcommittee
assignments,
but
not
always
so
it's
totally.
Okay
with
that
said,
we
did
the
straw
poll.
It
looks
like
we
might
have
to
do
a
little
negotiating
because
I
believe
in
unless
commissioner
Webb
has
something
he'd
like
to
tell
me.
He
and
I
are
pretty
committed
to
the
housing
and
security
subcommittee.
At
this
time.
A
D
A
Okay,
I
I,
said
commissioner
Wesley
I
know
your
answer,
so
it
would
still
be
a
problem,
but
we're
just
trying
to
solve
problems
we
okay,
so
my
goal
is
to
sort
of
get
everybody
into
a
subcommittee
that
wants
to
be
on
a
subcommittee
and
I
am
extremely
grateful
that
all
of
you
want
to
be
on
subcommittees,
which
is
great
we
can
get
most
of
we
can.
A
We
can
make
this
work
I'm,
going
to
mostly
rely
on
all
of
you
to
help
me
make
this
work
I'm
going
to
go
back
to
the
mental
health
subcommittee.
A
There
is
one
opening
nobody
expressed
interest,
but
I'm
going
to
re-ask
again,
commissioner
Smith
your
hand
is
up.
Is
that
an
interest.
F
Actually,
yeah
I'll
I'll
swap
out
my
hands
from
the
other
two
I'll
jump
into
the
mental
health
and
I
I
won't
wrestle
anyone
this
round,
I'll
hold
it
off
for
later.
What.
F
F
G
That
could
be
wrong.
You'd.
A
Most
of
us
on
this,
this
commission
have
been
historically
I,
can
tell
you
that
right
now,
well,
Eric
and
commissioner
I'm
terrible
with
the
whole
commissioner
thing
it's
we
are.
We
tend
to
be
a
little
bit
formal
as
you
will
learn,
Commissioners,
Barrett
and
POI
clone.
Are
you
still
both
interested
on
being
on
bystander
intervention,
training.
H
Yeah,
so
if,
if
it
helps
with
context,
I
would
put
my
first
choice
as
bystander
intervention
in
my
second
choice
as
as
housing
and
security,
storytelling
I'm,
which
is
you
know,
I
mean
all
three
of
them
are
very
interesting.
So
it's
a
it's
a
slight
preference
but
I
do
have
a
ranking.
A
If
we
take
your
ranking
and
both
of
you
today
on
stay
on
bystander
intervention
and
commissioner
POI
clone
becomes
goes
to
housing,
insecurity,
I
think
we
have
ourselves
a
completely
Full
Slate
Laurel
check
me.
I
am
incorrect,
so.
B
What
I'm
hearing
just
to
summarize
Vice
chair
Sylvester,
is
that
our
bystander
intervention
subcommittee
would
be
comprised
of
Commissioners,
Webb,
Baird
and,
and
the
mental
health
subcommittee
would
include
yourself
vice
versa,
commissioner
wilkidu
and
commissioner
Smith
and
then
housing
and
security
would
be
comprised
of
you,
Vice
chair
Sylvester,
commissioner
Webb
and
commissioner
poison.
G
H
H
There
I
don't
know
if
this
is
I'm,
not
sure
how
it
works
for
formal
rules,
but
if
I'm
not
on
the
subcommittee
can
I
still
be
involved
in
the
other
two
activities
like,
for
example,
you
know
helping
out
at
the
event
or
I,
don't
know
if
it's
okay
to
attend
a
subcommittee
meeting,
if
you're
not
officially
on
it,
which
I
mean
you
know
across
that
bridge,
we
get
to
it,
but
I'm,
just
not
sure
how
that
works.
B
I'm
happy
to
answer
that
question.
If
that's
all
right,
Vice,
chair
Sylvester,
so
you
are
absolutely
welcome
to
assist
with
the
events
and
or
a
tent
attending
subcommittee
meetings
would
not
be
possible
simply
because
War
Commissioners
is
a
quorum
and
it
would
violate
the
pro
notes
to
have
a
meeting
with
four
of
you.
A
A
So
thank
you
for
your
enthusiasm
and
support
and
in
these
meetings
in
our
general
meetings
we
do
the
the
subcommittee
reviews
and
people
at
those
meetings
for
that
are
not
on
the
subcommittee
often
volunteer
in
those
meetings.
I'll
I
have
a
great
idea
or
have
you
thought
about
doing
it?
This
way
or
I
know
somebody
you
need
to
talk
to
so
there
there's
plenty
of
that.
That
happens
in
at
least
in
the
publicly
notice
meetings
like
the
monthly
one.
A
So
what
happens?
Next?
We
don't
have
to
vote.
We
are
all
happily
in
alignment,
and
you
will
now
next
hear
from
Laurel
about
the
next
meetings
for
these
subcommittees.
I
know
many
of
them
theoretically
have
meetings
coming
up
very
soon,
but
we
have
to
see
if
that
fits
with
new
schedules,
but
you
are
well
on
your
way
to
being
working,
HRC
members
and
I'm
very
excited
about
that.
So
thank
you.
Next
on
our
agenda
is
item
six
new
business
item.
6.1
is
the
election
of
the
commission
chair.
A
The
commission
will
be
taking
action
on
this
item.
The
HR
chair
is
responsible
with
for
working
with
staff
to
set
the
agenda
and
facilitate
meetings
for
2023
the
principal
management
analyst
Laurel
James
will
now
give
a
brief
summary
of
what
the
Charles
rules
and
responsibilities
are
as
well
as
direction
for
this
process.
B
Great
thank
you.
Vice,
chair
Sylvester,
the
chair
of
the
ehrc,
is
tasked
with
coordinating
with
staff
to
develop
agendas
and
materials
for
the
HRC
meetings.
This
entails.
B
That
we'd
spend
having
a
meeting
and,
if
you
don't
mind,
Vice
Chelsea
Fester
I'm,
going
to
mute
you
because
I'm
getting
feedback
from
your
speakers.
Unfortunately
thank
you,
and
so
yes,
that
would
be
approximately
30
minutes
to
an
hour
a
month
spent
working
on
the
agenda
with
staff
and
then
some
additional
time
reviewing
agenda
and
chair
notes,
and
then,
of
course,
as
you
see,
vice
versa
doing
tonight,
guiding
us
through
the
meeting
every
month.
B
Do
you
vice
versa?
Having
served
as
chair
and
as
Vice
chair
now,
do
you
have
any
additional
comments,
you'd
like
to
make
on
the
role
in
terms
of
time,
commitment
or
responsibilities
that
I
may
have
missed.
A
A
So
that's
always
a
nice
additional
benefit
of
being
in
the
chair
or
vice
chair
role.
Again,
like
many
things
on
the
HRC,
it
is
also
what
you
make
of
it.
How
much
time
you
spend
you
know
helping
represent
the
HRC
in
the
community
or
you
know
thinking
about
things
like
that.
But
again,
that's
all
pretty
flexible
based
on
a
person's
interests,
but
you
definitely
nailed
the
overall
rules
and
the
time
commitment.
B
Great,
thank
you
so
with
that
said,
I'll
give
a
brief
overview
of
the
process
which
will
be
facilitated
by
Vice,
chair
Sylvester's,
meeting
chair
first,
we'll
open
nominations
and
any
member
May
nominate
any
other
member
or
themselves,
and
if
the
vice
chair
is
a
nominee,
she
may
continue
to
serve
and
facilitate
the
election
process.
A
second
is
not
necessary,
but
it's
not
out
of
order
for
a
member
to
Second
a
nomination
if
you're
particularly
enthusiastic
about
nominee
in
that
person
as
well.
B
So
we'll
follow
that
process
for
the
chair
and
then
once
we've
selected,
a
chair,
the
chair,
rather
than
Vice,
chair
Sylvester,
will
facilitate
the
process,
which
will
be
the
same
for
selecting
the
vice
chair
and
before
we
begin
do
you
have
any
questions
about
that
process
or
anything
that
you
need
to
do
right
briefly,
although
we
will
also
take
a
moment
when
we
move
on
to
the
nomination
and
selection
of
a
vice
chair
to
discuss
those
responsibilities
but
as
a
preview
they're
quite
similar
to
the
chairs.
A
Thank
you
very
much
Laurel.
Do
we
have
any
nominations
for
the
position
of
chair.
D
A
Okay,
thank
you.
That's
a
very
kind
set
of
things
to
say
so.
Thank
you,
no
matter
what
Laurel
will
remind
me,
so
I
don't
have
to
flick
back
to
my
notes.
Do
I
have
to
accept
the
nomination
and
then
open
for
more
nominations.
You.
A
It's
wrestling,
no,
no,
not
till
we're
back
in
person
with
that
said,
you
think
I
know
how
to
do
this
process.
I've
been
through
it
a
few
times,
I
guess
that
was
Nirvana's.
Second
thing
of
that.
I
declare
the
nominations
for
chair
closed
now,
principal
management,
analyst
Laurel
James,
will
take
a
roll
call
vote.
A
B
You
Vice
chair
Sylvester,
so
this
roll
call
vote
will
be
the
sole
nominee
for
the
sole
nomination
for
president,
which
is
nomination
of
Vice.
Chair
I
had
a
rose
Sylvester,
so
we'll
be
voting
on
whether
or
not
to
elect
her
as
chair
of
the
HRC
commissioner
Baird,
yes
or
no.
E
A
And
maybe
that's
the
right
thing
to
do
ego
wise
I,
don't
know
so.
The
vote
is
unanimous.
Thank
you
all
for
interesting
in
me
to
keep
sitting
in
this.
Well,
actually,
no
longer
in
this
seat.
It
will
be
an
honor
to
actually
chair
in
person.
A
I
did
so
very
very
very
briefly
what
three
years
ago
and
I've
always
missed
that,
so
hopefully
that
that
goes
as
well
as
I.
Remember
it
going
in
the
past,
so
thank
you,
I
think
it's
going
to
be
a
phenomenal
year
and
I'm
definitely
looking
forward
to
working
with
all
of
you.
This
is
really
really
exciting.
So
thank
you.
A
Now
the
same
process
repeats
for
oh,
were
we
supposed
to
take
I'm
sorry,
we
were
supposed
to
have
taken
public
comments,
but
there
is
no
public
now,
so
we
will
be
moving
along.
This
I
know
there's
a
lot
of
these
things
that
are
very
confusing
to
the
new
folks.
Like
public
comment
here
or
public
comment,
there
vote
this
vote
now,
don't
vote
it.
You
will,
it
all
makes
sense,
someday,
I,
think
so.
6.2
election
of
the
commission
Vice
chair,
the
commission
will
take
action
on
this
item.
A
A
In
the
absence
of
our
previous
chair,
who
stepped
down
at
the
end
of
last
year,
the
chair
elect
will
accept.
Let's
meet
whoops
I'm
reading
the
script,
the
wrong
way.
Are
there
any
nominations
for
the
office
of
Vice
chair,
same
process
repeating.
E
C
A
I
will
accept.
Thank
you
very
much.
Are
there
any
other
nominations
for
the
position
of
HRC
Vice
chair
foreign.
B
A
B
You
Facebook
chair
Sylvester
for
the
election
of
the
vice
chair.
We
will
be
voting
on
the
denomination
of
commissioner
bokito,
commissioner
Barrett.
Yes,
commissioner
bokito.
Yes,
commissioner,
Portland.
E
A
And
I
look
forward
to
serving
with
commissioner
wokido,
so
this
is
a
time
when
we
would
yes,
let's
thank
you.
A
You
are
most
welcome.
This
would
be
the
time
for
public
comment,
but
there
are
no
members
of
the
public
on
the
line.
Now.
We
move
on
to
the
final
item
on
our
agenda,
which
is
item
seven.
This
is
commission
staff
and
commissioned
and
staff
comments,
questions
and
other
reports.
No
actions
are
taken
on
the
questions
raised
by
the
commission.
At
this
time.
State
law
prohibits
the
commission
from
discussing
or
acting
on,
substantial
non-agenda
items
for
the
new
folks,
I've
often
called
item
seven.
A
A
You
know
ask
people
about
resources,
they
might
need
it
takes
on
a
life
of
its
own.
Sometimes
there's
a
lot
going
on
in
item
seven,
and
sometimes
it's
actually
very,
very
brief.
I
know.
Staff
tonight
has
a
couple
of
items
for
us
staff.
Would
you
like
to
go?
First
absolutely.
B
Thank
you
for
chair
Sylvester.
Rather
I
only
have
a
couple
of
brief
items
and
I've
spoken
with
many
of
you
quite
recently,
so
we
don't
have
a
lot
to
go
over.
This
is
a
reminder
that
the
city
clerk's
office
has
sent
you
invitation
for
brown
act,
refresher
training
for
Mid
January,
so
please
don't
forget
to
attend
it's
critical
for
maintaining
the
public
trust
and
for
ensuring
that
we
have
full
Brown
act,
compliance
that
everybody
be
well
versed
in
the
requirements
of
the
ACT.
B
Additionally,
for
those
of
you
who
have
not
yet
filed
your
form
700
because
you're
a
new
Commissioners,
you
will
receive
an
email
from
a
platform
called
net
file.
That
is
from
the
study
that
is
not
spam.
It's
a
third
party
that
we
use
to
collect
the
form
700
information
I
want
to
clarify,
because
one
of
your
colleagues
did
ask,
because
the
form
700
does
ask
for
personal
financial
information.
That
is
us.
That
is
not
somebody
fishing.
B
If
you're
not
sure
you
can
feel
free
to
forward
it
to
me
and
we
can
take
a
look
together,
so
please
don't
hesitate
if
that's
the
case
and
then
finally,
we've
discussed
this
a
couple
times,
but
the
next
HRC
meeting
will
not
be
virtual.
It
will
be
in
person
at
City
Hall
on
I
believe
it's
Thursday
February,
the
2nd
at
6,
30
PM.
So
just
a
reminder
for
those
who
have
been
used
to
meeting
in
virtually
and
notice
for
our
new
Commissioners
that
that's
where
we
will
be.
B
A
You
very
much
now
is
the
time.
Oh
commissioner,
Smith
has
a
follow-on
question.
F
A
A
D
Hey
Laurel,
there
was
an
email
about
an
another
event,
I'm
just
trying
to
recall
what
it
was,
because
it
was
like
another
like
county-wide
or
Statewide
meeting
I'd
have
to
dig
into
my
emails
for
it,
but
I
want
to
make
sure
that
the
other
Commissioners
had
opportunity
to
take
a
look
at
them
as
well
or
participate
I'm.
Just
trying
to
remember
what
it
was.
B
Commissioner,
Webb
I
am
happy
to
take
a
look
at
through
my
sent
emails
to
see
if
there's
anything
that
hasn't
yet
passed,
that
I
can
share
with
our
new
Commissioners
so
for
context.
The
HRC
does
have
an
inbox
that
belongs
to
the
commission
as
a
whole
and
oftentimes.
The
inbox
will
receive
invitations
to
events,
including
webinars
conferences
that
are
related
to
the
type
of
work
that
the
human
relations
commission
does
and
I
as
staff
I
forward
them
along
to
all
of
you.
B
If
you
are
ever
interested
in
attending
and
there's
a
fee
or
a
cost,
we
can
discuss
what
the
city
might,
as
in
support
of
the
HRC,
be
able
to
support,
or
you
are
welcome,
to
attend
independently
as
well,
but
I
do
make
sure
to
share
those
opportunities
with
you.
So
thank
you,
commissioner.
Webb
I
will
ensure
that
there's
nothing
that
is
missing
for
the
new
districts
as
well.
A
Commissioner
Webb
there
was
an
email
from
Wanda
that
had
information
about
getting
sworn
in,
but
it
also
had
at
least
one
training
that
we
were
supposed
to
do
and
then
a
code
of
conduct.
We
were
supposed
to
sign
so
that
may
be
something
you're
thinking
no.
D
No,
no!
No,
no,
because
we
all
had
to
do
that
before
we
were
able
to
go
on
today.
So
I'm
hoping
everyone
did
their
code
of
conduct
no
I
I
went
in
today
and
Wanda
told
me:
everyone
did
so.
D
Yeah,
so
we're
all
good
I,
don't
remember
what
it
was
yeah,
but
they
do
like
the
district
and
the
state
the
hrc's
have
advanced.
So
if
you
guys
are
all
inclined,
those
are
some
opportunities
that
we
can
take
advantage
of
to
participate
in
water.
A
D
D
D
Yeah
and
then
are
we
doing
no,
no,
no
we'll
get
into
that
next
week.
Next,
in
person,
we'll
talk
more
in
person.
A
Okay,
commissioner,
commissioner,
bear
do
you
have
your
hand
up.
H
Yeah
speaking
of
events
reminded
me-
and
this
is
I
guess
far
in
advance,
but
spring
parade
a
well
I
hear
it's
coming
back,
because
zombie
hasn't
done
it
for
like
two
years
yeah.
Let's
take
it
way
back
to
the
very
beginning
of
the
meeting,
but
just
out
of
curiosity
does
attending
the
spring
parade
mean
tabling
at
it
or
like
do
we
March
in
the
parade,
like
all
the
baseball
teams,
like
I,
mean
I'm
excited
either
way,
I'm
just
kind
of
curious
and
I'm
also
just
glad
that
spring
parade
is
coming
back.
A
F
A
Like
as
usual,
probably
not,
but
who
knows,
historically,
we
have
any
members
who
want
have
walked
in
it,
carrying
a
nice
car
and
no
tabling
that
I
recall
yeah,
I
guess
if
nobody
wants
to
do
it,
though
nobody
has
to.
A
B
A
A
You
it's
a
small
thing.
Sometimes
that
are
the
really
big
things
right.
Thank
you
for
bringing
that
up.
Sorry,
I
missed
it,
and
is
there
anything
else
anyone
else
any
comments,
questions,
parting
thoughts.
D
A
I
will
definitely
second,
that
a
third
it
well
with
that
said
nobody
wants
to
stay
in
a
meeting
late
at
night
longer
than
they
need
to
item
eight.
The
adjournment
this
meeting
is
adjourned
to
our
next
regular
meeting,
which
is
scheduled
for
February,
2nd
2023
at
6.
30
pm
I
can't
believe
I'm
saying
this
at
Mountain
View
City
Hall.
Thank
you
all
very,
very
much.
