From YouTube: A special story time about COVID-19 for kids
Description
Mountain View Public Library put together a special story time to explain COVID-19, how the community may look and behave differently, and how to do your part to protect everyone.
A
Hello,
everyone
and
welcome
to
a
special
storytime,
all
about
cope
at
19
and
some
simple
facts
and
practical
advice
for
helping
young
children
and
families
deal
with
this
time.
My
name
is
sharon.
My
name
is
Alex
and
we're
children's
librarians
at
the
City
of
Mountain
View.
Thank
you
so
much
for
joining
us
today
for
this
special
storytime.
A
Let's
get
started
with
singing
a
hello
song.
This
one
is
called
hello.
Everybody
can
you
clap
your
hands
and,
let's
sing
it
all
together,
we'll
count
one
two
three
go
and
sing
all
together.
When
you
join
me,
let's
do
it
one
two
three
go
hello:
everybody.
Can
you
clap
your
hands,
clap
your
hands,
clap
your
hands,
hello!
A
Everybody!
Can
you
clap
your
hands,
clap
your
hands,
Oh
such
a
great
way
to
say
hello.
Thank
you.
Everyone
for
singing
along
at
home
I
want
to
introduce
you
to
someone
special.
This
is
a
friend
of
mine
and
his
name
is
Simon.
Hi
Simon
I,
miss
Alex,
hello.
Oh,
you
know
miss
Alex
Simon
had
something
he
wanted
to
ask
you
really
Simon.
What
did
you
want
to
ask
me?
A
Well.
Miss
Alex
I
was
wondering
you
know:
I
haven't
been
able
to
go
to
school
lately
and
I
can't
see
my
friends.
Do
you
know
why
that's
happening
yeah
Simon!
It's
because
there's
a
sickness
going
around
called
koban
19
and
it
spreads
when
people
are
too
close
together.
So
your
family
and
other
families
are
just
staying
apart
from
each
other
right
now,
so
they
don't
spread
the
sickness.
A
It's
all
just
to
keep
people
safe,
oh
well,
I'm
am
I
gonna
get
sick,
probably
not
most
kids
aren't
getting
sick,
but
the
important
thing
to
remember
is
that
if
you
did
get
sick,
your
family's
there
to
help
make
sure
that
you
get
better
actually
when
anyone
gets
sick,
there
are
lots
of
helpers,
doctors,
nurses
and
so
many
other
people
who
are
helping
us
all
get
better
okay.
Well,
why
is
everyone
wearing
masks
when
I,
when
I
go
outside
sometimes
and
take
walks
everyone's
wearing
a
mask?
A
B
B
Here
it
is,
this,
is
the
one
I
wear
at
work,
and
this
is
how
I
put
it
on
and,
as
you
can
see,
underneath,
it's
still
me
and
I'm
wearing
a
mask
and
other
people
are
wearing
masks
right
now,
so
that
we
don't
spread
the
germs
that
make
people
sick.
We're
doing
this
for
something
called
the
common
good.
Do
you
know
what
that
is.
B
Some
things
are
good
for
just
you
right,
like
your
ice
cream.
Cone
is
just
yours,
but
sometimes
we
do
things
that
are
good
for
everyone
like
picking
up
litter
or
planting
a
tree
that
everyone
can
enjoy.
That's
doing
something
for
the
common
good.
Something
that's
good
for
everyone
not
spreading
germs
is
something
we
do
for
the
common
good
too.
It
makes
everyone
healthier.
We
keep
germs
from
spreading
by
wearing
masks
by
staying
inside
a
lot
now
and
by
washing
our
hands.
A
Oh
right
and,
like
my
mom,
tells
me
when
we
go
outside
to
like
make
like
an
imaginary
bubble
around
me.
That's
like
stretch
out
my
arms
and
make
an
imaginary
bubble.
That's
to
keep
everybody
from
getting
germs
right.
Yes,.
A
Is
she
she
tells
me
to
wash
my
hands
for
20
seconds,
but
sometimes
I
rush?
You
know,
Simon
I
have
a
really
fun
song.
That
I
can
teach
you
that
if
you
sing
it
through
twice
once
normal
and
once
fast
it
spreads
out
20
seconds
and
it
makes
your
hand-washing
so
much
fun.
Do
you
want
me
to
teach
it
to
you,
yeah
yeah
Skylar?
Do
you
want
to
do
it
with
us?
Of
course,.
A
And
everybody
show
me:
your
hands
are
gonna,
get
ready
to
watch
them.
Alright,
it
goes
like
this
tops
and
bottoms
tops
and
bottoms
in
between
in
between
brought
them
all
together,
brought
them
all
together.
Now,
they're,
clean
squeaky,
clean
one
more
time
fast,
tops
and
bottoms,
tops
and
bottoms
in
between
in
between
rub
them
all
together,
rub
them
all
together
now
they're
clean
squeaky,
clean
and
that's
it
you're
done.
A
Skylar
said
that
I'm
kind
of
a
superhero
I
think
he's
a
superhero.
You
know
what
you're
both
superhero
Simon.
When
you
wear
your
mask
outside
you
even
look
like
a
superhero
and
we
can
all
be
superheroes
by
wearing
our
masks
and
keeping
a
bubble
around
us.
So
we
don't
spread
germs,
we're
sure
busters.
You
know
what
actually
know
a
song
about.
B
A
A
Let's
wash
your
hands
wash
our
hands
now
we're
getting
rid
of
those
germs
wash
our
hands
now
we're
getting
rid
of
those
germs
wash
our
hands.
Now
we're
gonna
rid
of
those
germs.
What
again,
when
you're,
taking
a
walk
in
your
neighborhood
who
you're
gonna
be
germ
buster
when
you're
doing
your
part
for
the
common
good?
Who
are
you
gonna,
be
buster,
wash
our
hands
now
we're
getting
rid
of
those
germs
wash
our
hands
now
Wiggin
rid
of
those
germs
wash
our
hands
now
we're
getting
rid
of
those
germs?
A
A
You
know
what
I
love
that
song,
what
a
cricket
song
to
sing
when
you're
out
in
the
neighborhood
right
mm-hmm
was
there
anything
else
you
wanted
to
ask
was
Alex
today.
Well,
no,
but
I
do
want
to
ask
you
something
to
Sharon.
You
did
well.
What
did
you
want
to
ask
me
Simon
well,
I
wanted
to
say:
could
you
read
me
a
story
I
sometimes
I
feel
kind
of
nervous
or
scared
or
jumping
inside
and
I.
Remember
once
you
read
me
a
book
about
how
your
tummy
is
a
good
place
to
do
your
breathing.
A
Do
you
remember
that
book
I
do
remember
that
book.
It's
called
belly,
breathe,
yeah!
That's
it!
That's
it
to
read
it
to
you
now!
Yeah,
okay
and
I
bet
miss
Alex
can
help.
Can
you
help
with?
Maybe
do
you
have
some
help?
I
would
love
to
help
I
have
a
whole
bag
of
puppets.
That
I
would
like
to
join
with
you
today.
Okay,
okay,
Simon,
I'm
gonna,
put
you
down
right
here,
so
you
can
list
it
okay
and
do
some
belly
breathing
really
good
way
to
calm
down
right,
mm-hmm
just
relax.
A
A
A
A
Love
that
book
so
much.
Thank
you
for
reading
Emma
Sharon.
Did
you
like
that
book
Simon?
Oh,
my
goodness,
I
mean
liked
it.
He
looks
really
calmed.
It's
like
he
did.
Oh
Simon
yeah.
It's
a
good
time
to
breathe.
Take
a
breath.
Yes,
yes,
so
miss
Alex,
I.
Think
it's
time
for
us
to
say
goodbye
yeah,
you
know
Simon
and
I
are
gonna,
go,
take
a
walk.
How
fun
that's
a
great
idea!
I
should
take
a
walk
today
too
well.
A
But
before
we
go,
let's,
let's
sing
a
goodbye
song;
okay!
Yes,
that's
a
great
idea;
okay,
so
let's
sing
it
all
together.
It's
just
now,
it's
time
to
say
goodbye,
okay,
so
let's
sing
it
all
together,
we'll
count
one
two
three
go
to
sing
all
together.
One
two
three
go
now:
it's
time
to
say
goodbye,
say
goodbye,
say
goodbye.
Now,
it's
time
to
say
goodbye,
we'll
see
you
all
next
time.
A
It
was
so
good
for
all
seeing
all
of
you
today.
Thank
you
so
much
for
joining
us
for
this
special
storytime.
If
you
have
any
questions,
feel
free
to
call
the
library
about
questions
or
concerns
and
we'll
get
back
to
you
as
soon
as
we
can
we'd
love
to
hear
from.
You
really
would
thank
you,
everyone
for
joining
us
today.
Please
take
care.
We
miss
you
miss
you
bye!
Thank
you!
Miss
Sharon!
Thank
you.
Miss
Alex,
bye-bye.
Everyone
yeah
like
by.
