A
Welcome
to
the
December
edition
of
animal
tales,
TV
the
show
about
Oklahoma
City
animals
and
the
people
who
love
them.
My
name
is
Julie
bankin
on
the
superintendent
of
animal
welfare,
for
the
city
of
Oklahoma
City
and
with
me
is
my
beautiful
co-host.
Bambi
Bambi
is
just
one
of
the
many
beautiful
animals
that
are
available
for
adoption
right
now
at
Oklahoma,
City,
Animal
Welfare.
This
is
going
to
be
an
amazing,
show
we're
going
to
talk
about
field
officers
and
the
work
that
they
do
to
provide
safety
and
education
in
the
community.
A
We're
going
to
have
a
guest
talking
to
us
about
the
free
pet
food
bank
that
Oklahoma
City
Animal
Welfare
offers
to
individuals
in
need.
It's
the
holiday
season
and
with
that
comes
keeping
your
pet
safe
during
holidays
like
January
first
and
we're
going
to
also
give
a
special
thank
you
to
all
the
individuals
out
there
who
helped
us
help
animals
throughout
the
year.
Right
now,
though,
I'd
like
to
show
you
some
happy
tales
of
animals
that
have
been
adopted
from
Oklahoma
City,
Animal
Welfare,.
B
Pretty
much
a
good
day
for
me
would
be
people
leaving
their
hands
off
of
me.
I'm
always
called
names
everywhere
that
I
go.
There's
always
someone
calling
me
names.
Calling
me
gay,
I've
been
choked
thrown
up
against
wall
punched
nobody's
ever
tried
to
help
me.
C
Did
you
know
that
the
arts
make
a
significant
impact
on
education,
the
economy
and
our
quality
of
life
in
Oklahoma,
providing
more
than
10,000
jobs,
statewide
filtering
more
than
314
million
dollars
into
our
economy?
Yes,
the
arts
create
all
kinds
of
beautiful
things.
I'm
making
Oklahoma
an
even
better
place
to
live
is
the
most
beautiful
thing
of
all.
It
doesn't
take
a
big
donation
to
make
big
things
happen,
support
allied.
A
A
E
I
think
our
biggest
job
is
to
focus
on
public
safety
and
and
the
happiness
and
welfare
of
the
animals
we
come
across
them.
We
answer
upwards
of
200
calls
a
day
we
roll
over
a
lot
of
calls.
So
we
stay
pretty
busy.
We
like
to
focus
on
the
dangerous
are
dangerous
cases
and
our
cruelty
cases,
it's
probably
biggest
our
biggest
job
because
portion
of
our
job
so.
A
E
Well,
it
comes
in
a
several
different
ways.
Sometimes
they're,
like
people
like
to
be
anonymous.
We
get
a
lot
of
complaints
through
the
the
Action
Center
and
a
lot
of
complaints
to
come
into
the
office
once
those
complaints
are
received
and
statements
are
received,
will
dispatch
you
either
an
officer
or
an
investigator
to
to
investigate
the
complaint,
see
if
its
actual
cruelty
or
something
else.
A
E
I
think
public
being
public
servant,
your
your
biggest
scale
is
going
to
be
communicating
with
people,
and
in
this
case
animal
handling
is
probably
more
is
probably
more
important
than
anything
and
know
how
to
handle
animalism
when
they're,
sick
or
injured
or
a
stray
dog
hasn't
had
any
much
socialization.
So
we
spent
a
lot
of
time
training
and
enhancing
the
skills
right.
Animal
handling,
trace.
E
Besides
it
having
to
go
out
and
rescue
animals
from
bad
situations,
we
we
spend
a
lot
time,
educating
the
public
on
pet
owners
and
people
who
call
for
service
how
to
handle
pets
and
what
they
do
in.
In
the
event,
something
happens
with
the
neighbor's
dog,
or
something
like
that
or
we'll
pass
a
lot
of
information
on
upcoming
events
that
are
that
the
shelter's
having
so.
A
I
hear
a
lot
people
calling
you
guys,
dog,
catchers
or
even
calling
you
some
other
names,
and
you
know
I
like
to
think
that
you
guys
are
professionals
who
are
animal
control
officers
and
know
exactly
what
we
what
you
do.
How
do
you
feel
when
people
call
you
just
a
dog
catcher
like
what
does
that
mean?
Well.
E
I'm
kind
of
kind
of
used
to
it,
but
I
think
it's.
It
comes
out
of
people
who
don't
really
have
an
idea
exactly
what
we
do
for
Oklahoma
City
a
lot
of
cases.
That's
what
all
animal
control
guy
is
a
dog
catcher,
but
Oakland
the
cities
where
the
cutting
edge
and
state
of
Oklahoma
for
what
we
do.
We
provide
a
lot
more
services,
our
authority.
We
draw
from
a
chapter
8
with
the
city
code
and
it
gives
us
a
lot
of
power
and
authority
to
enforce
cruelty.
E
A
E
E
A
So
anybody
out
there
who
needs
any
help
with
an
animal
issue,
whether
it's
education
enforcement
or
animal
rescue,
you
can
call
that
phone
number
that
trace
just
said
trace.
Thank
you
so
much
for
being
here
today
and
sharing
a
little
bit
about
the
work
that
we
do
really
appreciate.
You
keeping
our
streets
safe
right
now,
I'd
like
to
share
with
you
some
animal
welfare
selfies.
We
like
to
call
them
welfies.
F
F
F
I
M
L
Are
you
gonna
do
with
all
that
leftover
paint
storing
items
like
this
can
be
hazardous
dumping
them
in
the
trash
is
worse.
Fortunately,
you
have
a
choice.
Tanks
and
other
household
chemicals
are
accepted
at
Oklahoma,
City's
household,
hazardous
waste
collection
facility.
Now
doesn't
that
feel
better
yeah,
but
I
wasn't
done
painting
my
house
get
more
info
at
okc
gov.
You.
A
U
Is
this
guy?
This
cute
guy
is
Spock.
He
is
a
rat
terrier
that
seven
months
old
he's
playing
santa's
little
helper
today,
but
he
is
available
for
adoption
and
Oklahoma
City
Animal
Welfare
out,
along
with
other
dogs
that
are
also
available
of
seven
days
a
week
from
twelve
o'clock
soon
545,
so
you
guys
can
come
in
and
take
a
look
at
them.
Okay,.
A
U
What
does
it
help
people?
It
definitely
helps
keep
pets
at
home
with
their
families.
We
see
about
24,000
animals
come
into
the
shelter
each
year,
and
so
with
the
food
bank
program,
we're
able
to
help
them
keep
their
pets
at
home
with
their
beloved
families.
So
they
aren't,
they
don't
have
to
surrender
or
abandon
their
picks.
The.
A
U
There's
definitely
a
very
worrying
jobs.
They're,
always
very
grateful
for
the
assistance
that
they
receive
lots
of
times
they
like
to
show
me
pictures
or
the
pits
that
they
have
and
show
me
exactly
who
we're
helping.
So
it's
definitely
a
great
and
rewarding
job
to
see
to
see
that
benefit
in
the
community.
So.
U
A
U
A
U
Are
very
needing
assistance
of
food,
they
can
contact
us
at
oklahoma,
sea,
animal
welfare
at
297
3100,
or
they
can
also
get
more
information
on
our
website,
which
is
WWF
animal
welfare.
They
can
get
in
contact
with
us
and
we
can
give
them
the
information
as
well
as
get
them
application
provide
some
more
information
on
the
requirements
for
receiving
food,
and,
if
they
don't
want,
are
not
needing
assistance,
they
just
want
to
help
us
on
their
civil
ways.
They
can
help.
U
We
always
need
donations,
and
so
we
accept
donations
of
opened
and
unopened
pet
food
that
they
can
drop
by
any
time
during
our
business
hours.
They
can
also
volunteer,
if
they're
interested
in
doing
that,
we
can
always
use
help
sorting
our
donation,
sorting
and
organizing,
as
well
as
preparing
food
for
distribution.
We
got
was
yourself
with
that.
Loretta.
A
I
want
to
say
thank
you
from
the
bottom
of
my
heart
for
all
the
energy
and
time
that
you
put
into
helping
pet
owners
and
helping
animals
in
Oklahoma
City.
We
really
appreciate
all
you
do
and
keep
up
the
great
work.
Thank
you
thank
you
for
having
me
I'd
like
to
share
with
you.
Now
our
care
tip
of
the
month
brought
to
you
by
David
Wagner.
M
I
already
I'm
Dave
Wagner.
Let's
talk
about
new
years.
This
is
what
the
busiest
times
of
the
year
for
Oklahoma
City
animal
welfare,
because
lots
of
things
are
going
on
fireworks,
loud
noises,
all
kinds
of
things
that
can
affect
your
pets.
Keep
in
mind
that
during
this
party
season,
you
want
to
make
sure
your
pet
is
safe
indoors,
preferably
maybe
even
a
separate
room.
If
your
animal
is
not
tagged,
bad
idea,
you
should
always
have
a
tag
on
it's
required
by
law,
also
write
your
name
inside
of
the
collar
and
microchip.
M
That's
the
best
way
to
find
a
lost
pet
one
thing
that
happens
during
new
year's
quite
frequently,
of
course,
its
fireworks
fireworks
are
loud
and
that
kind
of
loudness
can
really
affect
your
pets.
Hearing
can
also
scare
them
and
stress
them
out,
and
it's
a
possibility
they
might
run
away
and
if
you
do
lose
your
pet,
you
can
look
online
at
OKC,
gov,
animal
welfare.
We
have
a
picture
of
every
single
animal
that
comes
into
our
facility.
M
A
A
Tv
special
thanks
to
all
of
my
guests
today
and
I'd
like
to
send
a
very
special
Happy
Holidays,
asking
you
to
join
us
in
2016
for
an
entire
year
of
animal
tales,
TV
information
about
animals
and
the
people
who
love
them
in
Oklahoma
City.
Thank
you
and
have
a
happy
holidays.
I'm
going
to
leave
you
today
with
this
following
message.
Thank.
