A
A
In
this
edition,
we're
going
to
talk
about
community
cats
and
a
way
that
you
can
make
a
difference
and
control
the
overpopulation
of
cats
in
the
community
and
we're
also
going
to
talk
about
the
spring
months
and
how
that
impacts,
Oklahoma,
City,
Animal
Welfare,
and
how
you
can
help
by
adopting
a
pet
right
now,
I'd
like
to
share
with
you
some
animal
adoption
success
stories.
These
are
all
animals
who
found
amazing
new
families
at
Oklahoma,
City,
Animal,
Welfare,.
K
You
know
that
the
Arts
make
a
significant
impact
on
education,
the
economy
and
our
quality
of
life
in
Oklahoma,
providing
more
than
10,000
jobs,
statewide
filtering
more
than
314
million
dollars
into
our
economy.
Yes,
the
Arts
create
all
kinds
of
beautiful
things
and
making
Oklahoma
an
even
better
place
to
live
the
most
beautiful
thing
of
all.
It
doesn't
take
a
big
donation
to
make
big
things
happen,
support
allied
arts
today,
a
little
give
is
all
it
takes.
So.
A
Welcome
back
to
the
show
and
I
really,
this
is
an
important
topic
that
we're
going
to
be
talking
about.
Now,
we're
going
to
be
talking
about
overpopulation
of
cats
and
a
community
cat
program
today
with
me
is
Katie
Harris
from
the
Central
Oklahoma
Humane
Society
and
Lynn
Huffman,
one
of
the
supervisors
at
Oklahoma,
City,
Animal
Welfare.
Thank
you
both
for
being
here
today
appreciate
it,
but
Lynn
who
do
you
have
there?
I
have
a.
A
L
A
L
One
of
the
problems
that
we
have
in
this
community
is
the
fact
that
there's
a
lot
of
free-roaming
cats
stray
cats
in
the
area.
We
get
a
lot
of
phone
calls
about
how
people
can
deal
with
it
and
what
they
need
to
do
to
take
care
of
the
cats
that
are
in
their
area.
We
have
a
couple
programs
that
are
available
for
it
to
do
that,
and
that's
at
some
of
the
stuff
we're
here
so.
A
M
So
traveler
to
return
the
concept
is
that
we
get
these
kitties
that
are
free
roaming
or
feral
cats.
Community
cats
they're
brought
to
either
the
animal
shelter
or
animal
welfare
where
they
can
go
through
our
community
cat
program
or
you
can
bring
them
directly
to
ok,
humane
place,
spay
and
neuter
clinic.
The
cats
are
spayed
and
neutered
they're,
given
a
rabies,
vaccination
and
their
left
ear
is
tipped
to
be
a
clear
indication
that
they've
been
spayed
or
neutered
and
then
from
there
they're
returned
back
to
the
community
that
they
came
from
now.
A
M
So
cats
that
are
returned
back
to
that
area
kind
of
maintained
in
a
colony
cats
will
have
their
groups
in
their
areas
and
that
territory
kind
of
remains.
There's
there
they're
doing
what
they
do,
they're,
not
making
any
more
kitties
and
that
kind
of
helps
to
keep
that
population
controlled.
So
there
aren't
other
cats
coming
in,
and
the
benefit
of
the
ear
tip
is
that
any
cats
that
are
in
that
that
area
that
don't
have
an
ear
tip
we
know
need
to
be
obviously
spayed
or
neutered
and
then
return
back
to
that
area.
So.
A
M
A
L
The
community
cat
program
is
a
trap,
neuter
and
return
program,
and
it
benefits
the
community
because
it'll
cut
down
on
the
population.
If
you
don't
do
that,
there's
a
vacuum
effect.
You
can't
eliminate
the
cats
they're
just
going
to
keep
coming
because
there's
a
food
source
of
some
sort
in
your
neighborhood,
and
this
makes
it
a
program
that
you
can
get
them
fixed.
It
controls
the
population
and
then
it
doesn't
increase
any
more.
It's
going
to
you
know,
start
decrease
so.
L
I,
oh
I
want
to
bring
a
man,
so
they
do
that.
What
they
do
is
they.
They
trap
the
cats,
bring
it
up
to
the
Oklahoma
City
Animal
Shelter
at
2811,
southeast
29th
Street
turn
the
cat
in
sign
a
form,
giving
us
permission
to
put
it
in
the
program,
and
then
we
take
care
of
the
rest
between
us
and
our
partnership
with
the
Central
Oklahoma
Humane
Society.
Absolutely
so
what
will
happen
is
we
will
transfer
it
to
them?
L
M
A
M
Barn
cat
program
is
for
those
cats
that
do
come
in
that,
don't
necessarily
have
a
place
to
return
there.
Just
a
free-roaming
cat
that
may
have
showed
up
citizens
can
contact
us
at
ok,
humane
place.
The
best
way
to
do
that
would
be
through
just
calling
947
7729
and
from
there
individuals
who
are
interested
in
getting
cats
to
roam
their
their
barn
or
take
care
of
a
mouse
population
can
actually
get
those
cats
that
are
coming
into
Oklahoma,
City
Animal
Shelter
and
have
them
go
to
their
barns.
Great.
A
Its
partnerships
like
this
that
help
save
lives
in
the
community
and
also
deal
with
problems
with
animals
in
the
community.
So
I
want
to
thank
you
both
for
working
together
so
well
and
more
partnership
information
to
come
about
other
topics
down
the
road
right
now,
I'd
like
to
turn
us
over
to
take
a
look
at
some
adoptable
animals.
You
can
look
at
our
animal
welfare
selfies,
but
we
like
to
call
them
welfies.
F
N
Here
that
dog
has
a
thirsty
looking
as
I
did
you
know
that
it's
really
not
that
hard
to
save
water
like
here
in
the
sink,
don't
make
me
run
too
much
good.
I'm
somebody
shut
me
off
now.
This
is
my
kind
of
party,
a
full
house.
Let's
roll
hey
we're
in
a
drought,
which
means
I'm
kind
of
a
big
deal.
So
save
me
really
me.
A
Welcome
back
to
the
show
you
know
spring
is
in
the
air
and
what
that
means
for
the
Oklahoma
City
Animal
Shelter
is
more
animals
in
need
of
help.
It
also
means
we
have
a
great
selection
of
animals
looking
for
their
forever
home,
so
we
wanted
to
share
with
you
some
information
about
adopting
a
pet
from
an
animal
shelter
and
with
me,
is
crystal
wise
one
of
the
supervisors
at
the
shelter
here,
hi
hi,
who.
O
A
O
A
O
O
A
O
O
A
O
Most
animals
are
sixty
dollars.
The
select
few
are
30.
If
there
are
four
years
or
older
they're
only
forty
doll
or
thirty
dollars,
I
apologize,
they
are
all
spayed
neutered.
They
all
have
vaccines,
age-appropriate
vaccines,
they're,
all
d
warmed.
So
basically
you
get
everything
that
you
would
get
on
a
visit
to
the
veterinarian.
You
get
with
the
price
of
adoption,
so.
A
O
A
O
O
A
A
Right,
thank
you
for
ending
us.
That
way.
Thank
you
for
all
that
you
do.
We
hope
this
little
guy
finds
a
home,
and
now
we're
going
to
share
with
you
some
information
about
another
way
that
you
can
help
pets
during
the
springtime
and
that's
by
Spain
neutering,
your
animal
at
home,
we're
going
to
turn
you
over
to
our
monthly
welfare
tip.
P
P
A
surgical
procedure:
that's
performed
to
keep
your
pets
from
having
litters
of
puppies
and
kittens.
There
are
several
benefits
to
spaying
and
neutering
your
pets.
First,
it
decreases
the
chance
of
health
problems
such
as
fascicular
cancers
and
mammary
tumors.
It
also
decreases
the
chance
of
behavior
problems
such
as
your
pets
getting
out
of
your
yard
and
roaming
around,
but
ultimately
it
decreases
the
amount
of
animals
that
we
bring
in
here
at
the
animal
shelter
Oklahoma.

Q
Q
Q
Q
Q
A
A
You
know
we
are
involved
in
so
many
different
type
of
situations,
whether
it's
happy
adoptions
or
sad,
animal
cruelty
situations
and
the
Oklahoma
City
Animal
Welfare
is
there
to
assist
all
community
members,
four-legged
and
two-legged
with
their
animal
issues
in
the
community.
We
want
to
thank
you
so
much
for
watching
today's
show
animal
tales.
Tv
is
a
monthly
show,
and
it's
about
the
animals
of
oklahoma
city
and
the
people
who
love
them,
and
we
look
forward
to
seeing
you
next
month.
