From YouTube: We Remember - April 19, 1995
Description
"On this day 23 years ago, 168 Oklahomans lost their lives. Today, we remember those killed, those who survived, & those changed forever. We continue to be proud of the Oklahoma Standard with which we responded. And we commit to teaching the lessons of April 19th," Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt.

The
mission
statement
at
the
memorial
says
that
at
the
memorial
and
on
days
like
today,
we
honor
those
who
were
killed,
those
who
survived
and
those
who
were
changed
forever,
and
that
is
certainly
what
we're
doing
today
and
we
recommit
ourselves
to
the
Oklahoma
standard,
we're
proud
of
the
response
we
had
as
a
city
to
the
bombing
and
I
think
as
a
younger
person
today,
we
also
commit
younger
generations,
should
continue
to
teach
the
lessons
of
April
19th,
and
that's
certainly
been
my
message
today
and
I.
Think
it's
very
important.
A
Do
we
always
remember
the
political
violence
is
never
the
answer.
We
remember
empathy
and
compromise
and
we
remember
the
love
that
we
all
felt
for
each
other
after
the
events
of
April
19th,
and
so
today
the
the
people
that
were
most
affected
are
certainly
in
our
thoughts
as
well
as
we
have
great
gratitude
for
the
for
the
first
responders,
who
came
especially
our
Oklahoma
City,
Fire
and
police
officers.
And
so
today
we
think
of
April
19th.
And
we
remember.
