And
then
dad
saved
up
enough
money
and
bought
us
a
house
and
that
we
moved
to
the
era's
edition
area.
You
know
we
put
that
area
on
the
National
Historic
Registry
of
places
because
it
was
built
by
far
and
with
african-americans
the
first
community
in
Oklahoma
City
fool
with
new
houses
that
that
was
there.
So
we
grew
up
there
and
at
that
time
we
thought
we
were
living
so
large.
We
had
a
two
bedroom
house
in
a
kitchen
and
a
living
room
and
dad
worked
at
the
railroad
station.

Fortunately,
I
I
might
add
she
made
us
read
and
we
on
Saturdays
we
could
get
up
and
look
at
Hopalong,
Cassidy
and-
and
we
could
see
up,
oh
what's
that
wrestling
show
where
Gorgeous
George
and
all
of
those
folks
were
doing
their
thing
and
then
Danny
Williams
had
a
show.
And
then
we
had
this
cowboy's
Oh
can't
think
of
his
name
right
now,
but
we
just
lived
a
really
really
rich
life.
Don't
you
know,
cuz
we
lived
in
a
brand
new
house
and
we
we
had
a
bedroom.
