A
Hello,
I'm
Steve,
Carson
I'm,
the
director
of
golf
here
at
Lincoln,
Park
Golf
Course,
certainly
want
to
welcome
you
to
our
golf
course
today
like
to
share
with
you
a
little
bit
of
our
background.
Lincoln
Park
was
built
originally
in
1922
as
an
18
hole.
Golf
course.
The
second
18
was
added
in
1933.
At
that
time
the
golf
courses
were
actually
known
as
the
north
and
the
south
golf
course
and
remained
that
way
until
1950
1959
when
we
built
the
new
clubhouse
in
its
current
location.
A
The
golf
courses
were
renovated
at
that
time,
with
new
greens
and
bunkers,
and
until
1999
stayed
in
that
that
state
in
1999
we
rebuilt
the
West
golf
course.
We
added
new
greens,
new
tee
boxes,
all
new
bunkers,
all
new
water
system,
complete
cart
trail
system
was
added
at
that
time.
So
the
golf
course
you
see
today
is
only
about
ten
years
old.
A
The
east
golf
course,
since
its
renovation
in
1960
was
in
its
current
state
until
just
the
last
couple
of
years
in
2007,
we
rebuilt
that
golf
course
to
the
extent
that
we
added
new
tee
boxes,
new
water
system,
all
new
bunkers
and
improved
the
cart
trail
layout
and
improved
the
water
drainage
of
the
golf
course.
So
you
basically
have
two
new
golf
courses
since
1999
or
the
turn
of
the
century
year
2000.
We
certainly
invite
you
to
come
out
and
enjoy
these
facilities.
A
They're,
wonderful
golf
courses
with
lots
of
elevation
changes
a
lot
of
beautiful
scenery,
some
some
great
challenges
for
the
golfer
as
well
as
we
have
with
the
new
changes.
We
have
multiple
team
grounds
so
that
the
beginning
offer
can
pick
a
set
of
tees
that
they
can
play
from
and
be
perfectly
comfortable
enjoying
their
day
of
golf
today,
we're
going
to
play,
hole,
number,
16
hole.
16
was
originally
a
par
4
on
the
Old
West
golf
course,
and
in
1999,
when
we
rebuilt,
we
actually
lengthened
this
hole
to
make
it
a
par,
5
and
I.
A
Think
the
general
consensus
is
that
everybody
really
likes
it
as
a
par-5,
because
the
challenge
of
this
hole
really
begins
when
you
get
up
next
to
the
green.
The
green
sits
at
an
elevation
from
the
fairway,
sharp
dogleg
left
and
the
the
smart
way
to
play
this
hole
is
to
hit
your
second
shot.
Layup
shot
it
to
a
point
where
you've
got
a
comfortable
iron,
shot
up
the
hill
to
the
green.
So
we're
going
to
play
it
see
how
we
do
and
hope
you
enjoy.
This.
A
We've
now
reached
the
landing
point
of
our
Drive,
and
the
yardage
marker
in
the
fairway
tells
me
I'm
about
two
hundred
and
twenty-five
yards
to
the
middle
of
the
green.
Unfortunately,
the
middle
of
the
green
lies
behind
those
trees
on
a
quite
an
elevation
which
makes
the
whole
play
considerably
longer,
where
a
lot
of
players
make
make
a
fatal
error
on
this
hole.
Is
they
take
a
club
and
try
to
go
over
the
trees?
A
Don't
make
it
and
now
they're
in
some
real
trouble
they're
in
the
proverbial
jail,
as
you
would
spit,
would
would
say,
because,
with
all
the
trees
up
there,
it's
difficult
from
that
point
to
even
get
a
the
next
shot
on
the
green.
So
the
way
I
like
to
play
this
hole
is
I
like
to
take
a
middle
iron.
Six
seven
eight
iron
play
down
the
fairway
to
to
a
nice
flat
landing
area.
That's
about
a
hundred
yards
away
from
the
green.
So
that's
what
we're
going
to
do.
A
A
Well,
we've
reached
the
third
shot
on
hole,
number
16
and
today
I've
laid
up
to
about
115
yards
to
the
middle
of
the
green.
It's
still
a
little
uphill,
so
it's
gonna
play
a
little
bit
longer,
but
I've
got
a
great
lie
on
a
on
a
right
in
the
middle
of
the
fairway.
So
that's
really
what
I
was
after
was
to
give
myself
the
best
opportunity.
I
could,
with
a
with
a
wedge
in
my
hand,
to
get
the
ball
up
on
the
green
and
and
maybe
have
a
little
birdie
putt
we'll
see
what
happens.
