From YouTube: City News Will Rogers Indoor Tennis Grand Opening
Description
Mayor Mick Cornett and FirstServe OKC Exec. Dir. Emmy Hufnagel talk about the new indoor tennis facility at Will Rogers Park
A
Today
we
are
here
celebrating
the
dedication
of
the
new
indoor
tennis
facility,
which
is
a
6-quart
indoor
facility,
which
is
for
the
public,
and
it's
also
the
home
to
first
servo
casey
Foundation,
which
is
a
youth
development
organization.
We
improve
the
lives
and
enhance
the
character
of
oklahoma
city
youth
through
tests
and
education.
This.
B
Is
a
great
facility
and
it
really
enhances
what
we
offer
the
tennis
community.
You
know:
we've
always
had
great
public
golf
courses.
We've
always
had
pretty
good
public
tennis
courses,
but
now
that
we've
opened
this
facility,
it
separates
us
from
a
lot
of
our
peer
cities
and
we'll
be
able
to
get
some
regional
and
national
tournaments
as
a
result.
B
This
is
really
the
result
of
a
public-private
partnership,
people
stepping
up
and
contributing
money,
along
with
the
city
of
Oklahoma
City,
to
build
this
facility,
and
now
we
have
the
programming
in
place
to
give
kids
an
opportunity
to
learn
more
about
the
game,
to
learn
more
about
the
life
skills
that
tennis
can
teach
and
help,
hopefully
get
them
on
a
better
nutritional
foundation.
They
can
become
healthier
adults,
downline.
