meeting

the
Oklahoma
City
youth
council,
the
Youth
Council
is
a
partnership
between
the
city
and
leadership.
Oklahoma
City,
the
18
youth
council,
members,
learn
about
the
challenges
of
local
government
firsthand
and
the
program
provides
them
with
an
effective,
meaningful
channel
to
influence
decisions
affecting
their
homes,
schools,
friends
and
community,
while
serving
the
members
learn
about
local
government,
its
components,
processes,
goals
and
successes.

I
am
Tanner
Kalin,
I'm
a
junior
at
putnam
city
north,
and
I
represent
war
two
and
today,
I
would
be
giving
the
ward
report.
It
has
been
an
exciting
month
for
war
to
West
Nichols
Hills
Elementary
was
given
fifty
one
thousand
dollars
for
needed.
Improvements
in
renovations,
a
shed
on
29th
street
at
garage
on
40th
street
and
Putnam
heights
in
a
garage
on
pioneer
Avenue
were
deemed
a
lepa
dated,
and
letters
will
be
sent
to
the
owners
on
50th
and
Western.

It
was
susato
therapy,
permanent
easements
and
improvements
of
the
utilities
and
sidewalks
in
the
area.
Finally,
a
few
homes
are
changing
districts
from
a
single
family,
residential
district
to
a
simplified,
planned
unit
development
district.
It
has
not
been
decided
when,
but
it
will
be
decided
within
the
next
three
to
four
months
whether
they
will
be
changing
districts.
I
will
now

it
over

my

The
Historical
Preservation
Commission
will
be
held
later
meeting
will
be
held
later
this
afternoon.
A
project
to
improve
landscape
across
the
city
has
been
passed
this
month,
allowing
Oklahoma
City
Beautiful
to
improve
medians
all
over
the
city.
The
project
will
be
overseen
by
the
parks
department
and
have
a
timeline
of
roughly
five
years
to
complete
many
medians
across
the
city
and
across
Ward.
To

Three
members
are
looking
forward
to
odot
installing
signals
at
Southwest
59
in
highway
152.
This
is
a
key
intersection
and
the
signals
will
benefit
the
area
residents.
Several
neighborhoods
held
meetings
recently
in
Ward
3.
These
included
Windsor
Hills,
meridian
hills,
windsor,
forest
and
windsor
oaks.
Each
expressed
overall
agreement
with
the
new
plan
to
add
police
interested
hotel,
restaurant
and
commercial
reps
met
to
discuss
the
Meridian
Street
improvement
project
from
Southwest,
15th
and
Southwest
29.

This
area
is
important
to
rejuvenate
due
to
its
support
of
the
horse,
show
business
at
the
fairgrounds.
Recently,
a
request
has
been
approved
for
artists
submissions
for
public
art
at
the
consolidated
rental
car
facility
at

rogers
world
airport.
This
will
give
local
artists
a
chance
to
submit
their
artwork
to
beautify
the
airport
grounds.

very
excited

report
that
Carl
Albert
High
School's
environment
community
outreach
club
raised
over
200
pounds
of
dog
food
for
the
pet
food
bank
at
the
Oklahoma
City
Animal
Shelter
last
week
during
their
annual
dog
and
cat
food
drive
hosting
your
own
dog
and
cat
food
drive
at
your
school
church
or
workplace
is
a
great
way
to
give
back
to
oklahoma
city
and
its
furry
friends.

Did
you
know
that,
if
you're
financially
having
trouble
feeding
your
pet,
you
can
contact
the
pet
food
bank
at

able
to
get
food
assistance
for
your
pet.
The
Oklahoma,
City
Animal
Shelter

shelter
provides
free,
spaying
and
neutering
of
dogs
and
cats
for
Oklahoma
City
residents.

a
calm
of
the
five
to
seven
million
dogs
and
cats,
an
inter
animal
shelter
every
year
over
half
are
killed.
You
can
help
pet
overpopulation
and
the
killing
of
millions
of
animals
by
spaying
and
neutering,

dog
or
cat.

great
way
to
start
your
summer
is
by
adopting
a
pet
and

you

animal

dogs
and
cats,

he's
not
a
pirate
dog,
he
is
a
terrier
mix
and
he
is
in
need
of
a
loving
family.

engineering
is
conducting
an
environmental
assessment
of
the
park
property
and
Johnson
&
Associates
has
completed
utility
investigations
well,
where
park
property
acquisitions
will
begin
in
2014
and
several
demolitions
are
scheduled
for
late
spring
2013
with
the
modern
streetcar,
the
Santa
Fe
Railroad
station
at
100,
South
EK
gaylord
Boulevard
was
recommended
as
the
multimodal
transit
hub
and
the
acquisition
progress
is
currently
underway.
Community
meetings
will
be
scheduled
early
summer
this
year.

all,
the
new
city's
parking
garage
has
started
construction
and
we'll
add
a
hundred
will
add
835
new
spaces
to
downtown.
It
is
important
to
note
that
this
and
all
new
city
parking
garages
are
completely
paid
for
by
parking
fees.
No
new
tax
dollars
are
spent
to
build
them.
Secondly,
to
help
prepare
for
the
future,
the
city
has
implemented
a
progressive
outdoor
watering
watering
conservation
plan.

with
our
golf
commission
mark
Galloway
said
he
had
contacted
cox,
cable
about
advertising
opportunities
during
the
masters
golf
tournament.
The
cost
for
78
spots
to
run
tuesday
through
sunday
of
the
Masters
week
was
one
thousand
four
hundred
and
fifty
dollars.
Mr.
Galloway
to
the
spot
focuses
mostly
on
trosper
golf
park.

Golf
course,
but
also
mentions
all
the
other
golf
courses
and
lists
their
logos
and
phone
numbers.
The
Marketing
Committee
is
working
on
putting
new
ball
dispensers
in
the
facilities
that
have
card
swiping
abilities.

golf
courses
hosted
numerous
high
school
golf
tournaments.
This
was
a
great
way
to
reach
out
to
the
community
and
make
high
schoolers
feel
welcome.

design
committee
is
meeting
is
scheduled

at
nine
o'clock
a.m.
and
the
Game
and
Fish
Commission
meeting
is
scheduled
for
Monday,
a
sixth
at
one-thirty
p.m.

receive
updates
to
its
walls
to
allow
for
better
air
conditioning

elementary
school

Oklahoma

approved
an
increase
in
nearly
eight
thousand
dollars
in
funding
for
the
expanding
of
south
western
avenue
from
southwest
164th
street,
the
south,

a
gas
pipeline
in
the
area
of
expansion.

entire
project
is
scheduled
and
will
be
finished
by
august
this
year.

a
master
plan

the
adventure
district
has
been
developed
for
establishing
commercial
corridors
around
MLK
and
remington
park
properties.

equipment

requested
funding
to
assist

their

system.

relocate

and
