trust
has
been
receiving
a
lot
of
attention
recently
because
of
all
the
new
improvements
and
plans
set
forth.
Specifically
the
world,
the
Will
Rogers
World
Airport
plans
for
new
terminals
are
moving
ahead,
but
with
an
increased
number
of
terminals
comes
an
increased
amount
of
people.

the
Planning
Commission
report.
Mustang
Public
Schools
is
planning
a
new
middle
school
that
will
be
located
on
Southwest,
44th,
Street
and
South
Mustang
Road.
The
school
is
set
to
hold
500
students,
initially
with
plans
for
in
a
future
expansion
to
hold
800
students.
The
application
also
includes
plans
for
brand
new
athletic
facilities,
such
as
a
track
and
football
field,
softball
field
and
tennis
courts.

application
that
has
been
contused
from
the
two
previous
meetings
is
an
additional
nine
horse
nine-hole
course
at
Surry,
Hills
Golf
Course
located
north
of
West
Hefner
Road.
This
expansion
is
not
set
to
affect
any
surrounding
homes
or
property.
Both
applications
have
been
recommended
for
approval.

stage
and
will

announce
that
the

new
senior
wellness
center
next
to
Capitol
Hill
is
almost
open.

have

The
upcoming
Oklahoma
City
mayoral
election
primaries
will
be
taking
place.
February
the
13th,
the
winner
of
the
Oklahoma,
they
Oakland
er
of
the
Oklahoma
City
mayoral
primary
on
February
13th,
will
be
won
by
the
candidate
who
earns
a
majority
of
the
votes
and
that
candidate
will
then
be
sworn
in
to
a
four-year
term
on
April
the
10th.

However,
if
no
candidate
receives
the
majority
of
the
votes,
then
the
two
candidates,
with
the
most
votes,
will
then
stand
in
a
decisive
general
election
on
April
2
13th.
The
three
candidates
in
the
mayoral
election
are
Taylor,
Nabors,
Randall,
Smith
and
David
Holt,
and
in
other
news,
aerospace,
company,
Kratos,
defense
and
security
solutions.
A
leading
national
security
solutions
provider
has
recently
announced
that
the
company's
unmanned
systems
division
is
opening
administrative
engineering
and
production
facilities
within
Oklahoma
City,
and
this
is
in
order
to
accommodate
expected
increase
in
demand
for
high
performance
jet
powered
unmanned
drone
systems.

today
I

presenting
the
Commission
report.
The
better
streets,
safer
city
advisory
board,
held
its
first
meeting
on
January
25th.
The
board
makes
recommendations
for
council
approving
approval
regarding
priorities,
timelines
sidewalks
and
trail
projects,
a
temporary
27
month,
continuation
of
the
expiring
Maps.
Three
penny
sales
tax
will
generate
240
million
dollars
in
four
projects.
Thursday's
actions
included
a
recommendation
to
start
work
first
on
highly
traveled
streets
with
the
greatest
need
for
improvement.

The
result
of
these
projects
will
be
smooth
and
safe
streets
for
drivers
on
street
amenities
for
recreational
and
commuting
cyclists
and
landscapes
and
trails.
As
of
February
5th,
more
than
90,000
of
the
city's
solid
waste
customers
will
have
a
new
trash
day
or
monthly
bulky
trash
pick-up
day.
Customers
may
look
at
their
customers,
may

their
current
city
of
Oklahoma
City
water
bill
or
visit
Oklahoma

my

construction

season

been

rainbow,
trouts
released,
which

pounds

been
replenished
every
two
weeks
with
three
thousand
seven
hundred

fifty
pounds
of
fish
released
into
Lake
Overholser
to
replenish
the
fish
population.

not
going
to
be
required
on

held
to
appoint
new
officers
for
the
2018
calendar
year

the
meeting
the
meeting

the
nominating
committee
chose
Dean
Andy
Coates,
as
the
new
chair
and

Reed
was
voted
as
the
new
vice
chair,
a
selection
for
a
more
successful
point-of-sale
and
t-shirt
service
was
made
after
running
out
some
options.
A
recommendation
was
made
for
the
golf
system
to
begin
negotiations
with
the
club
profits
to
carry
out
this
service.

made
by
multiple
schools
in
municipal
golf
clubs
to
hold
tort,
told
tournaments
at

the

move
was
approved
and
the
dates
will
be
assigned

program
for
electricity
and

courses

leasing

zoo

Scouts.

will
allow
Girl
Scouts
to
build
a
six
million
dollar
campus.

construction
will
begin
in
the
fall

a
new
sav-a-lot
will
provide
access
to
fresh
foods
for
many
in
Oklahoma
City's
food
deserts.
A
food
desert
is
defined
as
an
area
where
many
low
income
residents
are
living
more
than
a
mile
from
the
nearest
grocery
store.

The
store
is
owned
by
owner
capital,
a
group
of
military
veterans
who
opened
stores
and
similar
need-based
locations
across
the
country,
Ward
7,
counselor
John
Pettis,
spoke
out
in
support
of
the
new
sav-a-lot
and
the
company's
great
reputation.
So
we're
looking
forward
to
that.
Second
Oklahoma
City
Public
Schools
are
now
getting
free,
Spanish
classes
on
January
18

employees
enjoyed
their
first
day
of
class.
Another

hundred
and
thirty
people
who
express
an
interest
in
learning
Spanish
were
put
on
the
waiting
list.

Many
teachers
believe
that
learning
Spanish
will
allow
them
to
communicate
with
parents
better
right

are
translating

teachers
and

unable
to
convey
all
the
information
that
the
teachers
are
trying

foundation

Oklahoma
City
Public
Schools
is
paying
for

teachers

Electric

new
parking
lot
and

on

to
the
Yukon
School
District,

acres
of
land
was
donated
by

common
homes,
but
the
donated
land
Yukon

District,
is
expected
to
save
$350,000

time.

updates
on
when
the
construction
will

adoption
of
an
amendment

assessment,

the
Western
Avenue
Business
Improvement
District.
This
essentially
means
that
the
legal
descriptions

tax
procedure

tracts
of
land

properties
on
North
Western
Avenue,
particularly
from
Northwest,

and

will
be
made
more

project
making
headway
in
Ward

is
the
development
of
a
quiet
zone
at
the
pardon
me
at
the
BNSF
railroad
crossing
at

Boulevard.

that

the
crossing
are

required
to
sound
their
whistle.
Finally,

counselor

program

their
homes,
