we
were
able
to
accomplish
versus
the
goals
we
set
for
ourselves

we're
going

look

2013
and
where
we're
headed
and
also
while
we're
talking
about
2013

events
we
have
in
some
of
our
partners
that
we're
going
to
try
and
do
those
things
with.
So,
let's
get
right
to
it.
So,
let's
see

this

oh

at
that.

understand

probably
hit
it

many

for
the
folks
who
were
on
TV
I
think
everyone,
the
council
knows
we
are
the
local
non-profit,
501
C
3.
We
do
food
assistance,
rent
utility
systems
and
a
clothes
closet
here
in
oldsmar
or
anyone
you
need
and
it's
a
hundred
percent
volunteer
organization.
We
have
no
paid
staff
at
all
and
we're
pretty
proud
of
that
as
organization,
so
people
who
donate
to
us
should
feel
good
about
the
fact
that
no
salaries
are
taken
for
many
of
the
money
that
people
give
us.
So,
let's,
let's
look
at
2012
goals.

gotta
hit
that
hard,
apparently,
ok,
ok,
so
when
I
was
here
last
year
in,
I
think
it
was
January
later
in
january.
I
think
that
first
of
all
we
talked
about
was
the
fact
we
were
going
to
be
moving
to
the
old
chamber
site.
So
it's
tied
up
with
that
real
quick.
We
did
obviously
accomplish
that
goal
in
March
last
year,
as
we
promised
went
to
the
new
our
new
site,
which
the
old
chamber
site,
it's.

Really
worked
out
for
us,
we
believe
the
visibility
that
we're
going
to
talk
a
little
bit
more
about
later,
but
this
is
one
aspect
of
visibility
right
on
580
people
know
where
we
are
now
it's
obvious
in
the
uptick
of
visitors
that
we
have.
We
want
to
thank,
certainly
the
city
for
offering
us
the
use
of
the
buildings
really
work
out.
A
lot
of
people
helped
us
put
it
together.
We
got
some
donations
from
Linda
from
lowes
and
other
people
to
help
put
the
building
together.
The
way
we
wanted
to
have
it.

were
able
to
help
them
up
to
a
hundred
dollars.
It's
certainly
given
us
an
increase
in
that
particular
area
in
terms
of
helping
people
out
a
couple
other
things
we
mentioned.
It
was
to
increase
two
of
our
programs
that
we
did
last
year,
which
was
the
thanksgiving
batting
and
the
christmas
program
so
thanksgiving.
A
year
ago,
we
gave
out
60
some
63
I
thing,
and
this
year
we
gave
out
75
of.

It
in
of
the
baskets
and
that
they
were
incredibly
well-stocked
card,
see
in
a
picture,
but
we
have
flour.
We
had
sugar,
we
had
the
turkey,
we
had
the
pie,
fresh
vegetables,
it
was
quite
yet
for
the
people
who
came.
There
are
a
few
people
that
came
unannounced
they
were
served.
They
were
shocked
that
we
had
that
much
for
them
and
one
day,
so
it
was
a
really
a
blessed
event
for
us.

We
just
love
that
event
and
look
forward
to
doing
it
again,
even
better
this
year
coming
up
and
then
the
farm
share,
which
was
just
a
couple
weeks
ago,
just
seems
like
yesterday
it
was
a
21st
or
18th.
I
can't
remember
20th,
one
of
those
days,
18
18th
of
december.
I
want
to
thank
the
city
off
the
top,
because
you
put
that
bharti
sign
out.

People
did
see
it
because
in
2011,
when
we
did
the
event
with
Florida
farm
Sharon,
Jack
lab
Velas
office,
we
had
about
150
people
show
up
this
year
we
had
251
people
show
up
incredible.
Turnout
I
want
to
thank
Rick
Sara
in
the
back,
the
Sheriff's
Department.
They
we
actually
had
to
have
traffic
control
out
on
the
street
for
a
little
while,
because
it
was
a
little
hectic.

He
can
vouch
for
that,
but
it
was
great
again
people
that
unannounced
kind
of
showed
up
just
were
coming
by
and
really
caught
some
people
that
were
really
neat
again
this
year.
So
that
was
another
great
event
for
us.
So
those
two
events
that
we
want
to
expand
on
for
both
of
them.
We
did
expand
them
from
the
year
before
in
a
great
away
and
likely
be
doing
a
nose
both
again
to
a
bigger
extent.
Next
year.

Obviously,
along
with
those
things,
did
I
skip,

I
hit
it
to
her.
Oh,
yes,
I
did
okay,
so,
along
with
those,
we
had
an
uptick
in
both
food
drives
and
fundraiser.
So
the
thing
I
really
want
to
mention
for
the
folks
in
communities.
That's
really
great
for
us
is
a
lot
of
these
were
self
executed
that
we
were
just
the
recipients.
When
shumin
showed
up
with
the
food,
we
didn't
have
to
anything
I'd
be
at
the
door
when
they
were
ready.
It
was
awesome.

People
just
came
out
of
the
woodwork
to
do
things
for
us
as
someone
we
did
have
to
help
plan,
but
for
the
most
part
we
want
to
thank
everybody
who
did
one
for
us
without
even
asking
it
was
great
fundraising
events
again
like
guns
and
hoses.
That
was
a
new
event
for
us.
That
was
a
fun
little
event
with
the
the
fire
guy,
so
we
just
got
to
check
from
them
and
that
was
cool
again.

People
reached
out
decide
to
help
us
out
without
us,
prompting,
so
they
they
either
directly
or
indirectly,
to
understand
the
need,
that's
there
and
have
helped
us
out.
So
we're
appreciate
everyone
so
for
both
of
those
not
only
did
we
raise
more,
but
we
had
more
events,
so
that's
pretty
cool
for
us.
Another
big
thing
we
did
in
terms
of
helping
people,
though,
was
emergency
assistance.
We've
done
this
a
cup
times
before,
but
last
year
there
were
like
a
confluence
of
events.
Were
some
people
needed
emergency
assistance?

A
couple
of
my
want
to
mention
patty,
apt
or
at
the
hair
salon
her
house
burned
down.
If
you
remember,
we
got
a
call
that
day,
while
her
house
was
still
on
fire,
could
we
do
something
and
we
had
a
one-time
emergency
donation
to
her
to
help
get
her
back
on
her
feet,
and
some
of
you
may
remember,
Lola
pretzel
it'll
girl
that
had
mitochondrial
disease.

We
were
asked
to
help
see
if
we
can
put
together
some
fundraising
activity
for
that
and
happy
to
say
we
were
able
to
raise
over
five
thousand
dollars
toward
her
care.
Unfortunately,
in
the
end
it
didn't
it
didn't
it
didn't
cure
her,
but
the
family
I
know
what
I
actually
met
them
at
the
teaching
of
in
November.
Again,
they
still
want
to
thank
us
for
all
that
we
could
do,
and
you
know
their
appreciation
was
heartfelt,
even
though,
in
the
end
we
could
not
do
everything
that
was
needed.

So
I
would
just
want
to
reflect
the
numbers
that
we
want
to
look
at
overall.
We'd
mentioned
that
the
bounty
and
the
farm
share.
But,
overall
last
year
our
monthly
visits
were
up
about
twenty
percent
from
the
year
before
again,
a
reflection
on
the
new
site
and
the
just
the
awareness
in
the
community
that
were
out
there,
one
of
the
things
that
we
had
to
do.

So
we've
done
this
increased
community
and
visibility,
mainly
by
broadening
our
volunteer
base,
because
our
volunteers
are
what
make
us
run
and
there
are
also
our
eyes
and
ears
in
the
community
and
our
mouths
spreading.
The
word:
we've
also
improved
promotion,
delivery
of
farm
share,
as
Mike
mentioned,
increased
involvement
in
special
events
and
develop
relationships
with
businesses
and
community
organization.

Our
main
way
of
gaining
visibility,
as
I
said,
is
through
our
volunteers
because
we're
one
hundred
percent
volunteer
organization
if
you've
ever
been
in
a
volunteer-
and
I
know
some
of
you
have
at
one
of
our
food-
drives
you've
seen
the
incredible
work
that's
accomplished.
This
is
the
best
way
we
have
of
promoting
volunteerism,
bring
a
friend
with
you
next
time.
We've
added
online
sign
ups
and
promotion
through
social
media
to
appeal
to
our
business,
and
our
younger
advocates.

The
heart
and
soul
of
oldsmar
cares
is
the
volunteers
who
work
in
our
office
is
so
important
that
we
have
consistent
volunteers
here,
and
we
have
a
core
group
of
10
that
provide
friendly,
familiar
faces
to
our
clients.
They
develop
relationships
with
our
visitors,
which
makes
it
possible
to
assist
them
with
their
needs.
The
high
school
volunteers
are
earning
more
than
community
service
hours,
they're
developing
empathy
for
others,
while
gaining
a
service
mindset.

We
also
want
to
improve
client
tracking.
This
is
necessary
for
grant
writing
expansion.
It's
also
important
to
better
reflect
what
needs
we
need
a
target
in
the
future,
we're
using
a
new
client
database,
which
our
volunteers
used
to
help
document
the
visitors,
and
we
also
did
apply
for
several
grants
over
the
summer
and
gained
one
from
walmart.
Some
grants
are
specific
to
gender
and
age.
We.

In
the
community
social
service
organizations,
as
well
as
people
that
offer
psychological
health
and
other
services
that
our
clients
might
need,
many
have
offered
to
come
to
our
office
and
provide
those
services
free
of
charge.
We're
hoping
that
the
evening
hours
will
accommodate
these
kinds
of
activities
for
the
people
that
come
to
us
for
help.
We
want
to
be
a
soft
place
for
people
to
land
when
they
need
help.
Our
plan
is
to
coordinate
with
our
friends
in
the
community
to
post
job
offerings
and
offer
assistance
and.

The
second
the
business
based
food
drives
was
mentioned
a
little
bit
earlier
and
we
do
have
some
businesses
who
have
come
to
us
in
the
past
and
have
had
very
successful
food
rice,
which
also
helped
them
as
well
network
with
people
that
are
like-minded
community
minded
people,
bankunited
bar
insurance
and
also
aveda
holiday.
Today,
spa
has
done
this
for
us
in
the
past
and
we're
hoping
some
more
businesses
will
do
that
as
a
pretty
small
board
and
an
all-volunteer
organization.

We
don't
always
have
the
manpower
to
be
able
to
put
together
or
woman
power
right
to
be
able
to
put
together
those
events
also
we'd
like
to
develop
more
community
and
civic
organization
outreach
programs.
We've
got
some
really
strong
support
from
the
rotary,
the
Kiwanis
ill
mph
oldsmar
Women's
Club,
but
there
are
a
lot
of
other
organizations,
some
of
them
small
civic
groups
that
might
be
interested
in
getting
involved.

So
in
2013,
just
through
the
spring,
we
have
some
pretty
event
pretty
big
events
coming
up.
We've
got
food
drives
that
are
all
on
Saturdays,
the
rotaries
annual
armadillo
run.
They
do
a
big
food
drive
for
us
at
that
event,
and
that's
all
March
night,
the
oldsmar
Days
parade.
If
you
come
outside,
you
can
see
us
in
our
yellow
shirts,
marching
and
beating
on
the
bottoms
of
the
old
blue,
recycle
bins
that
we
used
to
have
before
we
got
the
new
ones
and
stamp
out
hunger.

Food
drive
is
coming
up
in
May,
fundraising,
events,
we
have
our
big
old
smart
cares.
Wine
and
food
gala
coming
up
on
februari
21st,
that's
our
biggest
fundraising
event
and
it's
been
strongly
supported
in
the
community
for
the
last
two
years
and
the
tampa
bay
downs,
oldsmar
cup
race
has
been
scheduled
for
april
twentieth
and
we'd
love
to
see
some
morals
more
residents
come
out
and
support
that
race.
For
us
I
mentioned
the
oldsmar
cares
wine
and
food
gala.

on
februari,
21st,
Virginia
Johnson
will
be
our
mistress
of
ceremonies
again
and
you
may
know
Doug
Beavis.
He
will
be
our.
He
will
be.
Our
auction,
we're
really
looking
forward
to
that.
This
has
been
a
sellout
event,
and
so
you
might
want
to
get
your
tickets
early.

did
bring
information
