2023 Memorial Day Ceremony

Thank you to Oldsmar's Veterans Advisory Board members for their hard work year-round to provide the Oldsmar community with its annual Memorial Day Ceremony, held on Monday, May 29, at Veterans Memorial Park.

This event always provides an opportunity for all to unite in solitude and grace to honor the military service men and women who lost their lives while serving their country.

The ceremony featured Keynote Speaker Ret. Brigadier General Jeff Doll, U.S. Army, as well as city officials and regional dignitaries. Gold Star Families were recognized and encouraged to assist in the annual placing of the wreath portion of the ceremony.

Additionally, representatives from the Dunedin High School Scottish Highland Band, Alonso High School Jr. ROTC, Bayside Community Church, and Taps Across America participated. Local youth singer Taleah Walk made her debut singing the National Anthem.

Oldsmar Mayor Eric Seidel and Safety Harbor Mayor Joe Ayoub have joined together to promote a new program that encourages residents and businesses to help clean up the waters of Upper Tampa Bay.

In partnership with Tampa Bay Watch, the ‘Save Our Bay’ Program will officially launch on Saturday, December 11 at 9:00 a.m. at the Pier Shelter of R.E. Olds Park, located at 107 Shore Drive West in Oldsmar. The kick-off event involves creating Vertical Oyster Gardens to hang from private docks.

Staff will provide supplies for participants to string oyster shells on rope materials, which will attract live oysters to attach and grow the oyster garden.

A 'roll call' will be performed to announce and recognize Oldsmar veterans who's names will be engraved into the Veterans Memorial Wall.

The City of Oldsmar virtual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony was held on Tuesday, December 1, 2020. The program features Oldsmar Mayor Eric Seidel and Council Members, each introducing signer Katie Ducharme as she sings a few holiday tunes. In the continued tradition, Oldsmar Citizen of the Year, Sandie Grimes, officially lit the tree.

The City of Oldsmar initiated pro-active measures regarding our COVID-19 efforts. Phase 1 – Prevention, Containment & Essentials, Phase 2 – Sustaining Resources, and Phase 3 – Recovery.

The award was created to honor public and private organizations that make significant efforts to improve access and safety for transit riders.
T.R.A.C. (Transit Riders Advisory Committee) is made up of volunteers who ride the bus. Its purpose is to provide insight and recommendations to the PSTA Board of Directors and its committees (as appropriate) on operational and transit service issues.

A mock Council meeting was held by the 3rd grade class of Oldsmar Elementary during their local government day with Oldsmar.

Oldsmar Mayor Doug Bevis and Safety Harbor Mayor Andy Steingold host an Annual Holiday Breakfast for Charity. This is the fun spirited Challenge between the two Mayor's. Thank you to Empower Adventures (Zip Line) and Crooked Thumb Brewery for helping out and Zach with Newhouse Media for putting it together.

Oldsmar Centennial Celebration of Fifth Friday April. "That's the Way We Roll" is the theme with the Soul Circus Cowboys performing. We will be creating the largest country line dance in
