The City of Oldsmar is experiencing a steady population growth and transformation in the ways we live, work, play, and get around. To make the most of these opportunities and guide the way over the next 20 years, Oldsmar is beginning a new planning effort - Oldsmar Vision 2043.
Oldsmar Vision 2043 will update the City of Oldsmar' Comprehensive Plan which serves as a blueprint to guide development of future residential and commercial land uses, housing, conservation, as well as cultural and recreational amenities. City staff and elected officials will use the plan to guide recommendations and decisions for the city's future.
Oldsmar Vision 2043 will establish an identity for a vision that focuses on who we are and where we want to be in twenty years - 2043. An important component of the Comprehensive Plan is identifying the new infrastructure and growth demands needed to support the future physical and economic development of the community. This vision will help guide growth to achieve desirable locations for growth and development types, strengthen economic development and commercial businesses, ensure adequate and efficient public facilities and services, and enhance existing neighborhoods.
The update will result in an action-oriented and user-friendly plan. The Plan will also meet Statutory requirements and include key elements and recommendations from prior studies initiated by the City, for example - the Climate Resiliency Plan.
We need the Oldsmar Community to help envision 2043 together. Please take the survey at https://oldsmar.civilspace.io/en/projects/comprehensive-plan-vision-oldsmar-2043 - and plan on attending a community meeting in October 2022. Stay connected and up-to-date by joining the project email list.
