Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
A
This
time
has
been
set
aside
for
members
of
the
public
to
address
the
public
Arts
Commission
on
items
of
general
interest
within
the
subject
matter:
jurisdiction
of
the
public,
Arts
Commission
and
agenda
items.
If
the
member
of
the
public
cannot
be
present
later
in
the
meeting
at
the
time.
The
item
is
heard
by
the
Commission.
Additionally,
members
of
the
public
may
address
the
Commission
on
each
item
listed
on
the
posted
agenda
at
the
time.
Each
item
is
heard.
A
Although
the
public
Arts
Commission
values
your
comments
pursuant
to
the
Brown
Act,
it
generally
cannot
take
any
action
on
items
not
listed
on
the
posted
agenda.
Five
minutes
is
assigned
for
each
speaker
and
I
see.
We
have
no
speakers
now.
We
two
sets
of
minutes
which
I
I'm
afraid
no
one's
had
a
chance
to
read.
A
Do
that
and
all
of
them
take
these
home
I
think
just
slip
them
over
quickly.
I
find
what
happens
is
so
much
has
happened
since
then
that
they're
they're
not
necessarily
up
to
date,
but
okay.
So
we
have
a
really
good
opportunity.
Today
we
have
very
little
in
the
way
of
action
items,
none
really
and
the
last
meeting
we
we
approved
an
awful
lot
of
projects
that
everyone's
working
on
and
so
I
think
it's
a
very
good
opportunity
to
make
sure
that
we
all
know.
A
What's
going
on
so
I
brought
a
couple
of
updates
that
some
of
you
sent
me,
but
two
things
you
might
not
know
about.
One
is
we
were
asked
this
is
coming
around.
We
were
asked
by
desert
X
if
we
could
help
them
pay
the
fee
to
have
their
one
installation
in
Palm
Springs,
which
is
called
Western
flag
and
it's
across
the
street
from
the
visitors
center.
A
It's
a
large
video
screen
right
with
a
flag
and
they
have
to
apply
for
a
land
use
permit
and
since
we've
had
a
lot
of
discussions
about
paying
mural
fees
for
organizations
and
just
trying
to
sort
of
grease
the
wheels
of
the
permit
process,
the
city
asked
if
we
would
do
this
and
I
said
that
we
would.
But
I
would
like
just
to
make
sure
that
no
one
on
the
Commission
has
any
objections
to
this.
It's
the
sideways
pieces
of
paper
and.
C
Does
actually
I
haven't
seen
this,
but
I
did
see,
I
have
seen
his
work
before
and
you
know.
Ideally,
it
is
like
a
flagpole
that
just
kind
of
spews,
this
sort
of
ongoing
kind
of
smoke,
colored
colored
smoke
or
air,
or
something
like
that,
but
but
it's
large,
but
that's.
This
is
great.
This
is
like
a
nice
solution.
This
is
like
a
nice
Aleutian,
free
solution
and
and
yeah
yeah.
This
artist
is
really
interesting.
C
I,
like
this
idea
of
you
know,
humans
interact
on
the
environment
and
in
many
different
ways
and
a
flag
is
a
way
of
conquering
a
land
and
and
sort
of
saying
it's
yours,
and
so
this
is
really
interesting
to
have
this.
You
know,
as
you
enter
Palm
Springs
and
that
certainly
suits
they
think
desert
X's
mission
and
the
kind
of
conversation
it
wants.
People
to
have
and
the
sort
of
sort
of
thinking
process-
and
it
also
just
looks
like
a
really
nice
work,
so.
A
I
would
say
it's
also
the
early
this
one
in
Palm,
Springs,
desert
X
explored
a
whole
lot
of
other
sites
and
between
having
to
be
handicapped,
accessible,
and
you
know
just
parking
and
there's
all
kinds
of
of
zoning
and
planning
issues.
So
I
was
glad
we
were
able
to
get
this
one
cuz
if
they
don't
start
soon.
E
A
A
A
F
It
was
actually
thanks
to
Mara
forwarding
an
email
from
Gaza
Mackenzie
at
desert
X,
so
I
worked
with
Ryan
to
put
together
the
proposal
for
them,
which
is
included
in
this
package
with
the
picture
of
his
mural,
because
it
outlines
the
timeframe
starting
just
prior
to
the
beginning
of
desert.
X
running
through
all
deserts.
X
is
happening
with
participation,
education,
all
the
features
we
talked
about
when
we
approved
the
mural
last
week.
So
they
said
yes,
definitely
be
a
parallel.
F
A
Lot
of
them
have
to
do
with
youth
and
there's
one:
are
they
sitting
on
my
report,
and
that
is
that
they,
the
acting
director
of
the
art
museum,
forwarded
this
letter
to
me
from
someone
who
would
like
to.
They
saw
the
sign.
That
said.
Imagine
art
here
and
just
happened
to
have
a
pee
sort.
This
EXO
thing
that
they
would
like
to
install
on
the
empty
space
across
from
the
museum
and
I've
just
made
a
copy
of
it
in
case.
If
anyone
is
interested
in
pursuing
this,
we
can
do
it.
A
It's
not
clear
if
it's
alone
or
something
I
I,
don't
think
it's
something
that
he
wants
us
to
buy,
maybe
just
be
able
to
install
it
there,
but
it's
only
if
someone
is
interested
in
pursuing
it,
so
you
could
think
about
it,
and
let
me
know-
and
the
last
thing
I
just
wanted
to
talk
about-
is
the
Sephora
mural,
which
we
saw
at
the
last
meeting.
They
submitted
their
application,
but
the
notice
of
public
hearing
notices
didn't
go
out
in
time
for
us
to
vote
on
it
today.
A
So
I
told
them
that
our
study
session
in
two
weeks,
we
would
do
what
we
did
the
last
time
and
that
is
have
a
special
meeting
for
that
one
item
and
then
turn
it
into
a
study
session
unfortunate
because
it's
not
our
regular
meeting
time.
The
only
place
we
can
meet
is
the
council
chambers,
which
seems
like
not
a
great
place
to
have
a
discussion.
A
A
A
A
On
an
email,
so,
okay,
they
they've
generally
been
mailing
a
copy
to
us,
which
would
be
a
big
help,
and
we
know
if
anybody
else
got
them.
E
B
B
A
B
E
C
B
Just
so
you're
aware,
the
council
wanted
confirmation
that
the
vote
was
sufficient.
You'll
recall
the
vote
was
three
for
the
project,
two
against
and
one
abstention,
so
they
wanted
to
confirm
with
the
city
attorney
that
that
was
sufficient
to
pass.
The
item
I
had
consulted
with
the
city
clerk
after
we
took
the
vote.
He
said
it
does
seem
to
be
correct,
but
they
wanted
to
dig
a
little
further.
Okay.
A
So
they
pulled
it
off
the
consent
agenda
yesterday
that
okay
well,
let's
find
out
and
otherwise
that
one,
if
there's
not
a
big
time
constraint,
because
it's
already
done
so
we
can,
we
can
bring
it
back
at
the
next
meeting
if
they
want
us
to,
but
the
Sephora
one.
That's
the
one,
we're
gonna
talk
about
anything
it'd
be
and
not
the
whole
presentation
necessarily
and
but
the
whole
discussion,
because
by
then
the
public
will
have
been
notified.
C
D
A
B
A
A
E
A
Action
in
this,
so
when
all
right
I'll,
a
question
that
Lily
pay,
the
964
dollar
land
use
permit
fee
for
the
desert,
it's
project,
but.
A
E
A
B
A
B
A
D
A
F
Pay
well,
as
we
discussed
and
voted
in
the
last
meeting,
Michael
Berg
Berg
is
now
doing
a
scaled-down
version
of
the
change
piece
installation
approximately
five
feet
high
by
11,
with
two
wings
for
support,
so
the
budget
scaled
down
to
13,000,
which
is
what
we
approved
at
our
last
meeting
or
on
track
for
completion
and
installation
by
the
end
of
January,
which
was
also
voted
on.
In
our
last
meeting.
We
have
a
slight
hitch
in
that
the
Virgin
Hotel
site,
which
Michael
Braun
promised
to
us
like
last
October
or
August.
F
It
would
sort
of
tie
in
the
pit
with
the
top
part
of
the
park,
give
a
little
bit
more
presence,
and
then
we
could
consider
moving
it
after
the
fact,
because
it's
now
have
a
much
more
moveable
piece
or
we
could
consider
having
Michael
bernburg
has
simply
deliver
it
to
us
and
take
the
installation
part
out
of
the
budget
and
then
determine
where
it
should
go
after
it's
in
our
possession.
It.
F
G
D
F
Yeah,
you
know
either
do
it
through
the
ground
or,
as
we
would
do.
If
we
were
putting
on
the
Virgin
site,
would
be
anchored
into
a
concrete
with
concrete
anchor
bolts,
but
with
the
art
pit,
because
I
don't
know
what
the
distances
of
there
the
depth
of
the
dirt
as
it
can
actually
go
through
that
into
the
concrete
pad
there.
So
it
would
be
bolted
as
well,
but
it's
in
much
easier.
They
just
sort
of
create
the
whole
bolt
it
down
and
fill
the
hole.
F
F
B
C
I
do
not
support
that
right
now
there
are
I,
don't
know
the
details,
but
right
now
literally
right
now
there
is
conversation
for
desert
axe
to
do
some
kind
of
a
performance
project
on
that
site
and
I
am
confident
that
if
this
work
is
there,
the
artist
will
not
do
that.
Okay,
so
I,
don't
really
know
the
details
of
it,
but
I
just
will
say
that
it's
a
like
a
really
important
artist
and
I
I
really
feel
like
I.
C
F
A
F
I
could
see
that's
the
thing.
As
I
said
in
our
discussions
last
year
we
would
have
had.
We
were
supposed
to
have
the
session
of
the
site
like
six
months
ago
and
the
last
couple
of
weeks,
pestering
Michael
Brown
for
a
timeline
of
when
they
were
going
to
at
least
move
things,
and
then
we
had
originally
talked
about
doing
it
on
the
southeast
corner,
where
there's
currently
a
trailer
another
major
equipment.
F
So
every
time
I
go
by
there
sort
of
look
at
the
site
again
and
realize
it
would
be
easier
to
do
on
the
southwest
corner.
But
that
still
requires
a
lot
of
well,
not
a
lot,
but
at
least
a
little
bit
of
movement
of
some
stuff,
because
there's
a
the
fences
are
all
falling
over
and
whatever
so
having
only
found
out
about
the
two-month
time
period
for
the
full
clearing
of
the
site.
F
F
G
G
G
G
A
F
C
F
F
C
C
C
C
D
C
D
I
mean
I
just
think
it's
a
really
good
site.
We've
talked
about
this
site
at
the
corner
of
Vista
Chino
and
Farrell.
That's
where
the
airport
we
looked,
it's
sort
of
like
a
it's
like
a
little
berm
there.
It
kind
of
goes
up
a
little
bit,
so
it
would
have
good
visibility
and
it
could
be
Ennis.
I
mean
this
is
movement.
It's
perfect
cuz.
The
airport
is
like
very
bumpy.
E
F
A
G
D
G
D
B
D
I
agreed
I
think
that
there
would
that
would
be
a
nice
entry
thing.
It
is
all
gated
now
right,
I
think
what's
happening.
Is
these
developments
are
trying
to
squeeze
as
much
stuff
in
as
possible
and
there's
like
they're,
not
leaving
space
for
art,
you
know,
but
just
which
is
fine,
I
mean
if
they
put
it.
You
know
as
long
as
they
put
into
the
Commission,
but
I
think
that
would
be
a
nice,
some
sort
of
like
entry.
C
A
A
C
B
G
B
A
A
A
D
D
A
A
C
B
A
A
A
F
A
B
F
A
B
A
D
D
F
B
G
A
A
G
So
I
guess
two
things
to
update
you
guys
on
so
yesterday
and
the
day
before
we
hung
the
beginning
of
the
show
the
student
show
at
the
high
school
in
the
Ardennes
to
gallery.
So
originally
the
idea
was
to
use
the
map.
The
map
is
too
big
for
the
area,
so
we
made
a
show
about
the
map.
You
know
people
interacting
with
it.
A
We're
gonna
try
to
make
a
brochure
size
map,
not
unfold,
I
mean
a
a
card
with
that
we
could
put
out
by
the
pit
and
by
the
house
that
during
the
modernism
week
there
are
32
tours
a
day
of
that
guest
house
like
every
15
minutes,
so
lots
of
people
will
be
coming
there
and
we're
gonna
try
to
see
if
we
can
put
some
replicas
of
the
map
on
the
SoulCycle
or
whatever
it
is.
That's.
A
Happening
so
there
is
a
restaurant
that
looks
like
it's
gonna
open
and
have
a
map
that
people
could
take.
So
what
we
really
need
to
do
is
decide
what
what
are
the
Tanners
twelve
walkable
pieces
of
art
that
you
ought
to
go
see
while
you're
downtown
and
it
could
be-
you
know,
be
fun
if
it
was
a
mural
or
two
and
a
couple
of
sculptures
and
the
Kuya
Indian
the
woman,
which
apparently
was
the
very
first
piece
of
public
art.
So,
but
what
we
need.
A
A
A
Okay,
so.
G
A
A
G
A
A
B
A
Absolutely
working
I
mean
that
I
think
getting
art
in
front
of
people.
Part
of
the
trick
of
it
is
to
so
that
my
friend
is
a
sort
of
Internet
guru
always
says
is:
don't
expect
people
to
come
to
your
website,
get
it
to
where
they
go
anyway.
You
know
what
and
then
get
back
to
yours,
so,
okay,
so
I
think
we're
set
with
Ryan.
Is
there
anything
else?
Well,.
A
F
Doing
unless
any
commissioners
have
any
questions
about
it,
that
yeah
we're
all
pretty
much
set
forth.
The
timeframe
is
they're,
starting
on
the
10th,
the
interactive
Brian's,
doing
his
own
recording
about
and
documentation
Madelaine
will
be
reaching
out
with
him
as
well,
desert,
X,
etc,
etc.
So
will.
C
There
be
any
signage
on
the
exterior
of
the
pit
like
where
they
put
signage
for
the
the
house.
Tour
will
be
there,
be
any
I
would
recommend
you
put
something
there,
if
possible,
not
only
in
the
picture,
so
that
people,
because
people
will
look
down
and
see
it
and
say
what
is
that
being
able
to
say
hey,
you
can
go
down
there
on
these
days
and
these
times
could
be
usable
yeah.
A
F
A
A
It
would
be
fun
to
have
a
banner
or
two
on
those
light
posts
like
they
did
for
the
Warhol
show
and
I
know
the
museum's
interested
in
maybe
putting
some
on
some
of
them
also.
So
we
should
see
if
we
can
get
that
up
by
then
and
Sarah
shopkin
seems
to
know
how
to
make
better.
So
you
did
that's
a
new
job,
okay,
so
that
should
work.
Okay,
so
now.
G
F
A
C
So
it
would
be
great
to
make
sure
that
I
can
update
them
with
the
amount
of
time
that
would
be
allocated
to
them
I'm.
Guessing
at
this
points,
probably
an
hour
and
a
half,
given
that
we
have
some
action
items,
it
would
be
better
to
have
more
than
that.
So
just
a
heads
up
the
best
we
can
move
our
actual
items
along
will
be
great,
so
on
the
24th
in
preparation
for
the
24th
Dyson
will
go
back,
we'll
be
sending
I
think
directly
to
an
RJ,
a
survey.
C
C
So
when
they
come
to
this,
this
meeting
will
be
a
guided
conversation.
That's
based
on
this
review
of
these
current
documents
and
these
surveys
and
the
goal
will
be
to
get
to
you
an
agreed-upon
trajectory
to
move
forward.
That
said,
I
mean
things
can
change,
but
it's
just
to
create
a
plan
for
moving
forward
for
the
scope,
two
three
and
four.
C
They
really
want
to
revisit
our
mission
statement
because
they
want
to
see
how
to
activate
it,
how
the
mission
state
right
now.
Our
mission
statement
is
just
like
a
mission,
but
it
doesn't
really
provide
guidelines
as
how
we
how
we
create
actions,
and
so
that's
the
ultimate
goal
of
this
assessment
and
ultimately
they
will
offer
guidelines
and
recommendations
based
on
these
reviews,
the
surveys
and
our
meeting.
So
it
will
be
a
guided
conversation,
so
they
will
probably
provide
some.
You
know
you.
C
A
G
A
I'm
hoping
we'll
have
a
15-minute
meeting
literally,
it
will
be
one
only
one
item
and
that
is
the
Sephora
mural,
because
they
they
will
have
met
the
requirement
of
sending
out
the
notices
and
then
we
can.
We
can
take
a
vote
on
it.
I
mean
we
talked
about
it
when
they
were
here
before,
but
we
couldn't
do
anything
until
they
had
applied.
C
A
Yes
and
come
as
soon
as
you
can
and
we
could
also
decide
later
in
the
process.
You
know
if
we
wanted,
we
could
take
a
Saturday
morning
or
something
and
have
three
hours
or
four
hours
where
we
could
do
a
lot.
I
mean
that's
it's
hard
to
fit
it
into
that
late
afternoon
slot,
but
at
least
we
know
that
most
people
are
able
to
here
be
here
on
Thursdays
at
4:00.
So
but
I
think
you
know.
If
we
get.
If
we
get
some
sort
of
framework,
we
could
decide
to
spend
a
whole
morning.
C
The
other
thing
is,
they
will
be
coming
with
questions
and
it
will
be
a
guided
conversation,
but
it
doesn't
mean
you
can't
revisit
those
questions
later,
if
you
miss,
say
the
first
half
hour
and
just
provide
that
information
to
them,
because
they're
really
gathering
their
data
right
now,
so
they
can
really
assess
things
so
providing
it
in
a
conversation
whether
by
email
or
in
person,
I
think
both
will
work
well.
So.
C
A
A
A
And
I
haven't
I,
haven't
heard
any
other
questions,
but
next
week
I'm
supposed
to
meet
with
someone
from
procurement.
To
just
answer,
questions
about
I
mean
I.
Imagine
that
these
contracts
are
not
like
many
of
the
students
that
they
do
so,
but
from
what
I
understand,
they're
all
moving
along
right,
the
contracts.
These
are.
A
B
A
A
A
B
G
something
right,
no,
the
the
bigger
issue
is
something
that
we
as
the
you,
Commission
and
staff,
have
to
do
a
better
job
of,
and
that's
getting
adequate
bids
for
projects
like
this
I
know.
One
of
the
concerns
that
came
up
was,
if
there's
lights
attached
to
a
building,
it
becomes
a
public
works
project,
and
so
there's
a
lot
of
my
new
show
that
has
to
be
paid
attention
to
that.
They're
very
concerned
that
the
way
art
crosses
over
into
public
works
can
become
confusing
but
trigger
some
requirements,
such
as
prevailing
wage.
A
A
A
A
House
I
mean
okay,
it's
gonna
light
it
but
I
think,
but
that
that
map
that
was
attached
to
the
proposal
just
has
like
spotlights
in
the
ground,
so
the
things
would
be
met
no,
but
on
that
one,
you
can
certainly
get
the
contract
person
together
with
the
vendor.
I
mean
this
is
a
kind
of
specialized
feel
to
be
lighting.
D
A
A
B
B
A
B
A
B
A
B
A
B
B
B
B
D
A
A
A
But
if
anyone,
if
there's
parts
of
what
you're
doing
that,
you
think
would
benefit
from
some
more
coverage
with
an
eye
to
buy,
may
having
a
really
good
sort
of
overview
of
the
year
and
in
photographs
and
and
things
that
people
have
created.
So
I
think
when
you,
when
you
as
you,
come
up
with
as
you
meet
about
the
exhibit
or
something
either
see
if
Maddalena
can
sit
in
with
you
or
just
make
sure
she
knows,
but
I
think
we
yeah,
and
we
do
it's
great-
to
keep
taking
pictures
of
the
art
with
people.
A
E
A
E
E
I'm
gonna
be
trying
to
help
coordinate
that
so
that
she
has
those
times,
including
myself,
to
get
that
with
her
and
then
a
big
part
of
her
being
here
today
with
some
of
this
stuff,
that's
going
on
the
bernburg
installation.
She
knew
a
little
bit
about
what
was
going
on
with
desert
egg.
So
we
appreciate
you
being
here
and
all
that
you
do
and
I'm
glad
that
everybody's
just
going
directly
to
her
when
they
know
they
have
things
to
be.
E
A
A
I
mean
the
the
ordinance
was
made
to
developers,
pay
in
and
then
put
some
art
in
their
project
and
get
reimbursed
and
because
of
the
ups
and
downs
of
the
economy,
sometimes
nobody's
building,
and
sometimes
they
don't
want
any
art
or
it's
gated
or
you
know,
and
nobody's
never
gone
back
and
looked
and
said
what?
What
is
our
goal
when,
where
do
we
want
there
to
be
art
and
who
should
do
the
art
and
not
just
wait
for
somebody
else
to
say
you
know
I'll
put
this
piece
of
art
here.
A
D
A
G
A
Has
in
the
past
painted
the
sculptures
for
the
city,
including
these
I,
think
and
is
able
to
also
handle
moving
and
reinstalling
art
he's
one
of
the
artists.
He
did
the
the
warm
sands
mm-hmm,
that's
nice,
so
he
he
did
that's
his
art,
but
he
also
takes
care
of
other
art.
So
I
think
that
will
help
us
to
know
who
to
go
to
when
it's
time
right
well,.
B
A
D
A
Seen
the
other
thing
I
think
we
have
to
think
about
is
if
what,
if
anything,
should
go
on
the
sites
that
these
are
moving
away
from
each
of
them?
Unfortunately,
it's
very
crowded
into
certainly
visually.
It's
not
the
one
that
some
on
North
Palm
Canyon
is
physically
crowding.
The
sidewalk
and
the
one
in
front
of
the
palm
canyon.
Theater
is
sort
of
visual
need
in
front
of
the
marquee
and
the
one
in
front
of
the
week.
A
A
B
A
A
D
D
D
A
So
we
can
send
something
good
to
the
council.
Just
this
clear,
yes,
I
mean
it
apparently,
however,
many
years
ago
that
this
first
got
brought
up.
There
were
members
of
the
then
council
that
questioned
why
we
were
moving
things,
but
I
think
we
have
to
go
in
with
the
assumption
that
if
we
make
a
good
case
for
why
we'd
like
to
move
them,
no
one's
going
to
there's
no
reason
for
anyone
to
object.
It
may
have
been
there
wasn't
a
plan
or.
A
D
A
E
C
C
B
F
A
But
what's
nice
is
that
this
desert
X
I
mean,
but
it's
a
month
away,
and
this
is
the
only
site
in
Palm
Springs
that
worked
Dave.
There
was
something
that
they
were
looking
at,
the
boxing
club.
They
were
looking
at
various
places
and
you
know
they
have
to
find
an
artist
who
wants
to
do
something
in
a
place:
that's
safe
and
accessible
and
everything
else,
and
they
they
just
couldn't
find
anything
they're
going
to
the
Salton,
Sea
and
they're
going
to
every
other
city
in
the
Coachella
Valley.
G
C
A
B
A
E
A
A
Not
yeah
very
grateful
because
they
went
round
and
round
about
what
kind
of
permits
they
needed
and
they
went
to
filed
their
application
and
Planning.
Department
said
about
me:
nine
hundred
and
sixty-four
dollars,
please,
and
so
they
wrote
to
dr.
Reddy
and
said:
is
there
any
way
that
you
could
waive
this
fee?
Because
you
know
the
piece
itself
cost
like
a
hundred
and
fifty
thousand
dollars?
E
A
Since
we
started
the
year
with
saying
we
wanted
to
pay
mural
fees,
it
seems
to
be
sort
of
so
but
I
think
I'll
try
to
find
it.
I'll
try
to
get
the
actual.
You
know
application
because
they
did
have
to
answer
those
questions
to
get
a
land
use
permit.
So
Ernie
somebody
was
with
asking
those
questions
so.
D
Just
have
a
short
Commissioner
report
so
just
to
update
you
quickly
on
the
arts
exhibition,
because
so
we
had
talked
to
our
annual
art
exhibition
that
we
normally
do
in
February
at
the
Desert
Art
Center
we
spoke
with
them.
We
felt
that
it
would
be
better
to
postpone
it
and
do
it
later
and
so
now
and
that
actually
works
much
better
for
the
center
because
of
their
schedule.
They
actually
it
actually
interrupted
their
skin
hope.
Nobody
had
ever
mentioned
before.
D
A
D
Yeah,
which
adds
up
and
is
hard
to
sort
of
get
going.
You
know,
as
you
all
know
so
anyway,
so
just
wanted
to
update
you
on.
So
this
idea
is
like
30
by
30
talking
about
public
art.
What
does
public
art
mean
to
you
again
and
it'll
kind
of
we're
envisioning
it
as
like
sort
of
the
capstone
of
our
30th
year?
You
know
so
that'll
be
kind
of
like
our
last
thing.
For
this
season,
celebrating
the
30th
and
Sarah
will
be
involved
in
terms
of
putting
it
together.
D
Madalena
will
be
involved
in
terms
of
getting
you
know,
helping
us
with
this
visual
social
media
presence
that
we're
trying
to
build
up
and
and
make
a
part
of
the
exhibition,
and
we
will
fill
you
in
on
more
well.
We
have
a
meeting
scheduled
for
next
week.
So
that's
where
we're
gonna
get
some
more
details,
but
we
have
basically
the
dates
are
set.
The
concept
is
that
we
mean
to
just
sort
of
like
figure
out
all
the
ways
to
like
get
it
out
there
and
make
it
happen,
and.
A
Middle
of
May
and
they've
asked
us
to
help
them
do
a
bus
tour
of
various
but
assistance.
So
they're
gonna
go
to
the
Art
Museum
they're
gonna
go
to
the
Palm
Canyon
theater,
where
they're
gonna
do
a
short
scene
of
whatever
they're
doing
and
they're
gonna
go
see.
This
exhibit
and
some
of
it
will
be
in
the
Convention
Center
for
people
to
see,
and
so
so
we
get
to
share.
A
You
know
this
public
art
thing
because
I
downloaded
there's
a
group
called
Americans
for
the
Arts,
which
is
a
lobbying
coordinating
group
for
the
arts
all
over
the
country,
and
they
have
big
public
art
program
and,
for
example,
I
was
able
to
get
the
public
art
ordinance
for
every
city
in
California.
That
has
a
public
art
program
and
it's
really
interesting.
Some
of
them
are
one-percent,
some
of
them.
It's
public
money,
some
of
its
developer
money
and
so.
A
The
more
we
sort
of
zero
in
on
what
is
ours,
because
not
it
used
to
be
that
it
was
always
1%
of
public
money
like
if
somebody
built
a
courthouse
or
a
school
1%
went
to
art,
then
it
evolved
into
1/2
of
1%
of
commercial
development
and
now
it's
sort
of
swinging
back.
The
other
way
like
there
should
be
some
city
money
so
worded
where
it
a
good
point
to
sort
of
either
change
the
focus
or
ask
for
more
money
or
I.
A
C
I
do
I
have
I,
have
three
comments.
One
is
that
desert
X
and
the
Palm
Springs
Art
Museum
are
collaborating
on
a
on
a
weekend
of
events
that
I
think
you
should
be
aware
of.
C
Since
we
keep
talking
about
how
desert
X
isn't
doing
anything
in
the
city,
but
actually
we're
doing
this
weekend
of
events
that
will
be
it
at
the
Museum
and
Desert
Hot
Springs
out
in
the
Coachella
Valley,
and
then
it
sold
begin
and
end
at
the
pump
and
the
pump
Springs
Art
Museum
and
there
may
be
some
performances
sort
of
in
the
city.
So
that's
February
evening
in
February.
28Th
is
the
launch
event
and
there
will
be
a
concluding
event
at
the
Museum
on
March
3rd.
C
Can
subscribe
to
the
PS,
Museum
org
museums,
emailing?
Yes,
we
will
be,
and
if
you
remember
you
will
receive
a
little
information
and
the
new
members
magazine
and
of
course,
if
you
subscribe
to
desert
Etsy,
there
will
also
be
an
announcement
about
that,
like
everything,
it's
kind
of
still
in
process
the
weekend
of
programs,
but
there
will
be
some
programs,
some.
C
I
mean,
as
I
said,
mean
the
museum.
If
you
subscribe
to
the
museum's
II
blast
now,
you'll
have
that
information
in
it,
but
nothing
has
been
publicized
yet
I'm
telling
you
it
now
so.
E
C
It
is,
there
will
be
a
weekend
of
events,
so
you
know
in
the
next
few
weeks
things
will
be
firmed
up
but
done
and
then
Justin
thought
about
bike
racks.
You
know
the
museum
doesn't
have
bike
rack
and
a
lot
of
people
and
a
lot
of
people
hike.
There's
a
hiking
trail
there
and
people
bring
their
bikes
and
they're,
always
tying
things
up
to
trees
and
and
poles
and
so
I,
don't
know
I
think
and
there
was
one
there
and
then
it
was
removed
and
it
was
really
ugly.
C
Think
about
locating
something
around
there
and
finally,
a
personal
plug
for
an
exhibition,
I
organized
with
artist,
todd,
gray,
Parral
pluralities
of
being
which
opened
last
month
and
will
be
on
view
on
the
lower
level
of
the
Palm
Springs
Art
Museum.
Until
April
7th
I.
C
He
explores
African
Diaspora
with
landscape
photography
and
portrait
photography.
C
And
there
are
several
public
programs
available
to
the
public
to
meet
the
artists
coming
up
on
February
10th
as
part
of
the
three-second
Sundays.
The
artists
will
be
doing
a
gallery
talk
and
then
he
will
be
doing
a
public
talk
on
April
4th
as
well
in
conversation
with
the
Cahuilla
artist,
Gerald
Clark.
So
few.
A
A
A
C
4Th
and
the
museum
is
also
this
is
for
another
conversation,
but
it's
a
commissioner
comment
and
the
museum
is
organizing
a
major
retrospective
of
general
Clark's
artwork
and,
as
you
know,
he
is
also
a
public
artist.
So
I
would
be
happy
to
put
any
of
the
commissioners
in
touch
with
the
curator
for
that
exhibition.
In
case
we
may
identify
some
opportunities
in
the
future
to
work
with
him
and
all
the
art
project.
Amazed
and
yeah
I'd
be
very
happy
to
put
anybody
in
contact.
I.
C
Think
I
should
probably
exclude
myself
from
that
conversation,
but
I
think
he
is
a
very
important
artists
of
Cahuilla
people
or
of
this
land
and
he's
one
of
the
more
prominent
contemporary
artists,
and
it
would
be
really
great
thinking
about
you
know
the
agua
caliente
cultural
center,
opening
to
just
like
find
a
way
for
this
public
Arts
Commission
to
acknowledge
native
arts
and
culture,
and
maybe
working
with
Gerald
is
one
way
to
do
that.
Yeah,
that's
great.
G
A
G
B
D
C
A
Just
gonna
say:
oh
good,
all
of
you
would
just
email
them
to
me.
Just
put
them
into
a
list
these.
Just
these
few
events
and
everybody's
mentioned
that
other
people
should
know
about
things
on
free
Thursdays
things
with
artists
that
connected
list
in
some
way
and
I'll
make
them
up
into
a
little
calendar
just
for
us,
so
that
we
don't
miss
the
moon
stones.
So
give
me
that
one
too,
yes,.
B
Lastly,
I
have
a
great
appreciation
for
our
30th
anniversary
and
what
we
have
done
and
what
will
be
done.
However,
I
don't
know
if
we
have
a
documentary
of
swords.
What
I'm
getting
at
is
that
the
Historical
Society
Palm
Springs
here
in
town
when
I
look
at
their
videos.
Two
things
are
missing
black
folk
and
public
art,
so
I
don't
know
if
we
can
go
back
and
interview
those
who
started
this
Arts
Commission.
You
know
that
some
kind
of
documentary
of
sorts
as
a
historical
document.
A
It
might
be
fun
just
while
you're
talking
to
all
you
know.
The
current
commissioners,
Katherine
Hoff,
who
was
a
curator
at
the
Museum,
was
the
first
chair
of
the
Public
Arts
Commission,
and
the
very
first
piece
of
art
that
was
acquired
was
the
Kalia
women
sculpture,
which
I
think
was
paid
for
half
by
the
tribe
and
half
by
the
city.
But
just
interspersing
a
few
people
who
were
on
the
Commission
and
I
went
to
the
city.
Clerk
and
I
got
the
list
of
everyone.
A
That's
been
on
the
Commission,
they
didn't
have
the
first
ten
years,
but
they
have
the
rest
of
them,
but
never
the
links
the
last
20.
They
didn't
keep
my
records
before
that,
but
we
could
I
mean
some
of
them
came
to
the
launch
of
the
30th
at
the
Museum.
But
we
could.
We
could
get
a
few
people
to
talk
about
lowering
how
it
started
and
is.
C
It
possible
that
I
don't
know
the
Historical
Society
works,
but
I
know
that
chair
Scheffer,
you
know
prepares
sort
of
reports
about
summarizing
what
the
Commission
has
done.
Is
it
possible
to
submit
those
reports
or
in
related
photography?
You
know
really
edited
down
pieces
to
the
Historical.
Society
I
mean
I.
Think
that
would
be.
One
approach
is
to
simply
offer
the
history.
You
know
I
think
they
work
by
whoever
gives
the
history
and
unfortunately,
a
lot
of
underrepresented
voices.
C
G
G
So
the
hard
thing
about
which
Marv
is
saying
about
keeping
content
current
when
I
worked
at
the
University
is
the
minute
we
get
into
digital
people,
stop
putting
stuff
in
archives
as
much
because
it's
not
you
don't
have
those
pieces
of
hard
paper
that
are
easier
to
give
to
people.
So
it's
more
create
those
things
to
to
put
into
an
archive.
So
it's
really
important
to
do
that.
G
A
Of
this
planning
process
is
to
talk
about
how
to
get
more
diverse
artists,
whether
you
know
it's
been
a
long
time
since
we
really
commissioned
anything
or
simply-
and
there
used
to
be
a
list
of
artists.
I
mean
people,
artists
submitted
their
resumes
if
they
wanted
to
be
considered
for
something,
and
there
was
a
list
at
least
to
start
from
I
think
it's
been
years
since
anyone
did
that
here,
but
there.
Those
are
the
kinds
of
issues
I
think
we
want
to
talk
about.
So
all
right.
