A
E
If
you
look
at
the
bottom
of
your
screen,
it
will
say
participants
if
you
click
on
that
it
will
show
everyone
participating
in
the
meeting
in
the
right
column
and
in
that
column,
Nadia
will
be
muting
you
all.
If
you
want
at
a
point
to
be
heard.
You'll
click
on
the
lower
part
of
that
column,
it
says
raise
hand
and
it
will
show
your
hand
and
the
Nottie
will
let
you
in
at
the
appropriate
time
if,
for
some
reason
we
get
stuck
on
that
just
raise
your
hand.
A
All
right
any
questions
on
that
process.
They
are
okay,
I,
do
about
five
of
these
a
week
and
have
been
for
the
last
couple
of
months,
but
some
of
you
may
may
be
new
to
this
process.
All
right.
Moving
to
the
agenda
is
their
existence
of
the
agenda.
A
A
Okay,
now
we're
going
to
move
to
the
approval
of
the
minutes
for
the
Airport
Commission
meeting
in
March
11.
All
of
that
was
in
your
packet
if
I
hope,
you've
had
a
chance
to
redo
it.
Are
there
any
edits,
emendations
or
any
motion
to
accept,
as
presented
so
moved
all
right.
Any
further
discussion,
all
right,
all
those
in
favor
say:
aye,
no
abstentions,
Norm's
tensions,
okay,
great
we're!
Moving
now
to
the
Chairman's
report,
which
would
be
me
you
may
some
of
you
have
may
have
seen
in
today's
Wall
Street
Journal.
A
If
you
looked
at
it
about
the
that's
hard
to
say
anyway,
about
the
airline
industry
and
just
some
kind
of
highlight
points.
American
Airlines
has
announced
it's
going
to
put
141
planes
from
storage
back
in
to
service
in
July
that
there's
a
return
to
the
skies
faster
than
they
were.
Anticipating
Delta
is
reactivating
both
narrow
body
and
wide-body
aircraft
to
its
active
fleet.
In
recent
days,
IATA
did
reflect.
A
A
The
fifth
one
point:
two
million:
that's
a
lot,
which
was
kind
of
surprised
me,
that's
the
busiest
since
March
and
since
the
outbreak
of
the
corona
virus,
and
then
hartsfield-jackson
has
canceled
contracting
for
new
restaurants,
its
hauled
of
the
bidding
process
for
new
contracts
for
airport
restaurants,
which
will
be
germane
when
we
get
to
tom's
report
here
this
morning
in
terms
of
updating
you
for
the
airport.
Other
news
just
to
do,
I
hope
you've
all
been
doing
well
and
staying
safe,
I
think
it
sounds
like
you
have.
A
We
do
have
the
extension
of
the
terms
from
June
30th
through
December
31st
for
Patricia
Breslin,
Jeff,
Clarkson
and
Ken
Hendrick.
This
is
what
the
City
Council
announced
a
couple
of
weeks
ago,
and
this
was
all
due
to
the
fact
of
the
virus
and
the
delay
in
reappointment.
We
also
have
reappointments
or
term
extensions
which
have
been
approved
by
the
Palm
Spring
City
Council
Kathleen
Hughes
from
La
Quinta
Jan
PI
from
Desert
Hot,
Springs
and
Yann
Schmitz
from
Indio.
A
So
again,
congratulations
and
welcome
to
all
of
you
who
have
been
reappointed
by
your
respective
cities
and
then
lastly,
Peter
Freimuth
has
been
reappointed
by
the
supervisors
to
continue
representing
the
county
of
Riverside.
So
our
congratulations
to
to
all
of
you
there
during
the
interim,
since
our
last
meeting
as
chair
I
did
provide
a
lot
of
information
during
the
height
of
the
pandemic.
Thanks
to
Tom.
A
As
you
know,
we
convened
by
weekly
meetings
of
the
chairs
of
the
committee's
so
that
we
could
continue
to
stay
in
touch
with
Tom
and
the
operations
in
the
airport,
and
we
provided
that
that
data
to
you
as
well
so
I
hope
you
found
it
helpful.
Just
to
reiterate,
there
is
no
noise
committee
today
and
there's
no
marketing
business
development
today.
Thank
you.
A
That's
a
relative.
Our
July
8
meeting,
which
I
assume
will
continue
via
zoom
but
I
do
want
to
do
a
reminder.
That
is
a
meeting
that
will
begin
at
5:30.
In
the
afternoon
or
evening,
remember,
we
can
no
longer,
after
this
month,
meet
at
8:00
in
the
morning
and
our
request
to
continue
to
meet
at
8:00
was
denied
by
the
City
Council
and
then.
Lastly,
just
a
little
bit
of
news,
I've
been
in
touch
with
the
Arts
Council.
A
E
B
E
These
I'll
tell
you
what
I
can
say
now:
I'll
tell
you
what
I'll
do
that
now,
our
ticketing
modernization
project
is
going
full
steam
ahead.
Despite
the
pandemic,
all
measures
are
being
taken
with
the
construction
you
can
see
to
the
right
photo
that
they're
wearing
masks
and
goggles
and
social
distancing.
The
project
is
going
full
steam
ahead
that
previous
photo
Nadya.
E
Okay,
there
that
that
one
was
a
wasn't
it
one
more
with
the
baggage
handling.
No,
that's!
Okay!
Let's
proceed!
You
can
see
it
an
array
of
photos
there
there's
the
beginning
area.
You
can
see
you,
let's
leave
it
there
just
going
through
it
the
upper
right.
You
can
see
the
concrete
basins
being
installed
out
in
the
ramp.
E
We
will
have
three
ovals
that
where
the
airlines
can
retrieve
the
baggage
from
the
lower
left-hand
corner,
you
can
see
the
back
of
the
house
from
most
of
the
airlines
has
all
been
demos,
so
you
can
see
the
VHS
concrete
demolition
HVAC
in
the
electrical
that's
going
underway
and
a
lot
of
Earth's
work,
we're
redoing
some
of
the
utilities
in
the
ramp
that
have
been
problematic
over
the
years.
So
it
is
it's
moving
well
along,
and
that
is
a
one
upside
to
the
slow
period
here
during
the
pandemic.
E
You
can
see
there
also
the
old
Alaska
Airlines
ticket
counter
that
has
been
walled
off
and
that
is
being
demoed
and
they
will
start
getting
into
the
airline
ticket
office
space.
Again,
the
goal
is
to
move
that
entire
back
wall
backwards.
19
feet,
you
can
see
them
removing
the
ceiling,
tiles,
we're
saving
some
of
them
because
they
match
what's
in
baggage,
claim.
E
E
Okay,
one
thing
I
might
well
I,
don't
what
one
thing
yet:
here's
the
old
gift
shop,
if
you
approaching
the
checkpoint,
that
was
a
gift
shop
that
has
now
been
turned
into
the
Alaska
ticket
and
there
there
we
go.
That's
the
one
outside
there's
two
of
the
carry
symbols.
The
third
will
be
installed
soon
and
that's
where
the
baggage
will
be
retrieved
by
the
airlines,
which
is
a
world
of
difference
compared
to
what
they're
doing
today.
A
And
what
I
was
going
to
suggest
to
you
and
we've
done
this
in
earlier
reports-
I've
been
out
to
the
airport
several
times
during
the
last
couple
of
months,
just
to
stay
in
touch
with
Tom
and
to
see
the
progress?
All
of
you
as
commissioners
are
invited
to
reach
out
to
Tom
and
to
come
visit
and
see
the
work
in
progress.
Okay,
so
I
would
I
would
encourage
you
to
follow
up
now
that
you've
had
kind
of
a
introduction
of
what's
been
going
on,
and
it's
really
quite
stunning
when
I
walked
in
this
morning.
A
From
the
time
I
was
here
couple
weeks
ago,
the
gift
shop
had
been
converted
to
Alaska
error,
and
it's
really
quite
impressive.
Of
course,
there's
no
body
and
the
turmoil,
no
I
didn't
mean
it
that
way
it
was
too
early.
In
the
morning
there
was
7
a.m.
when
I
got
here
so
there's
you
know
anyway,
people
are
flying
and
moving
around
any
of
their
introductions
or
presentations.
Is
that.
B
F
A
F
Frozen
positions,
early
retirements
or
layoff
positions
now,
obviously,
because
of
the
federal
grant,
the
11
million
that
obviously
has
changed
a
dynamic
considerably
significantly
at
the
airport,
so
there
are
no
there's
not
going
to
be
any
layoffs
at
the
airport.
There
are
a
couple
early
retirements
and
Tom
I'll.
Let
you
address
that
the
specifics
was
a
two
or
three
that
just
chose
to
take
the
early
retirement.
F
B
E
I
think
you'd,
rather
look
at
the
Concours
well,
as
the
city
manager
just
explained,
there's
an
extreme
austerity
posturing
going
on
as
it
should
for
just
about
every
business
that
the
city
general
fund
has
done
an
extensive
extensive
job
and
the
enterprise
fund
for
the
airport
has
also
done
that
so
mark.
Why
don't
you
bring
that
document
up
Nadia,
please.
F
E
My
apology
so
finance
report
you
want
to
do
that,
go
ahead.
D
D
I'm
10
in
the
package
just
to
go
through
where
the
airport
is
that
at
this
time,
as
we
all
recall,
the
Kovach
19
situation
hit
us
very
deeply
about
mid-march.
Unfortunately,
by
that
time
we
had
collected
virtually
a
95
percent
of
our
revenues
for
March.
So
with
that
being
said,
the
revenue
funds-
the
customer
facility
charge
we're
almost
98
percent
collected
a
budget.
Today,
the
passenger
facility
charge
98
percent.
D
Our
general
airport
revenues
are
about
78%,
which,
compared
to
our
expenses,
are
very
much
in
line,
so
we've
been
fortunate,
as
revenues
have
been
reduced
to
also
cut
corresponding
expenses
and
our
AFP
grant
revenue
has
been
slower
than
normal.
We
do
anticipate
opening
bids
on
a
project
next
week
and
we
should
have
a
new
grant
for
that
as
well,
so
that
will
be
coming
in
the
next
fiscal
year.
D
C
D
Everything
we
had
spent
since
the
situation
recovered
19
has
come
about
and,
as
David
had
mentioned,
the
budget
is
actually
in
relatively
good
shape.
With
that
being
said,
I
think
we're
all
aware
of
the
federal
grant
that
was
awarded
to
Palm
Springs
and
just
over
eleven
million
dollars,
so
that
will
certainly
offset
any
minor
shortages
that
we
would
witness
for
this
fiscal
year
and
then
carry
forward
in
the
next
year
to
make
the
difference
on
on
any
funds
that
are
necessary.
D
On
page
three
of
the
financial
report,
just
taking
a
look
at
our
cash
position
toward
the
bottom
of
the
page
or
fun
405
for
CFCs
is
just
over
24
million
dollars.
So
that's
good
news
that
that
money
will
sit
there
until
we
ramp
up
with
our
rent
our
project
again
and
get
that
underway.
Hopefully,
sometime
later
next
year,
fun
for
10
our
PFC
restricted
fund.
We
currently
have
a
balance
of
1.9
million
in
that
fund.
As
you
may
recall,
the
annual
debt
payment
on
that
four
principal
and
interest
is
about
two
and
a
half
million.
D
So
it
keep
in
mind.
We
do
have
that
amount
of
money.
In
a
sense,
in
a
reserve
for
a
PFCs,
so
there's
1.9
million
in
addition
to
the
2.5,
it
is
set
aside
to
make
the
PFC
bond
and
principal
payments
next
year,
and
that
is
is
also
a
nice
cushion
and
very
conservative
position.
So
we
won't
have
to
dip
in
any
reserves
for
PFC
bond
payments.
The
capital
restricted
fund
is
just
over
eight
million
dollars
and
it's
something
we
can
use
in
the
future
if
necessary.
D
At
this
point,
many
of
our
capital
projects
have
been
deferred
until
a
later
time,
and
once
we
get
back
to
the
new
normal
and
then
the
airport
fund
415
again
has
a
balance
of
eight
million
dollars.
So
it's
it's
good
that
we
have
those
set
asides
and
the
airport
is
actually
should
be
able
to
weather
this
nice.
We're.
B
E
Budget
we
already
hitting
on
this,
let's
I
think
what
needs
to
be
said
is
that
every
airport
in
the
United
States
has
been
probably
the
best
word
in
Visser
rated
as
far
as
financial
revenue
is
concerned,
so
recognizing
that
immediately
upon
the
pandemic,
we
with
the
general
fund
and
the
other
city
initiative.
We
take
a
hard
look
at
everything
that
we
procure.
So
with
that
being
said,
we
have
the
budget
document,
not
micro,
starting
to
touch
on
that.
But
let's
start
at
the
top
with
that,
and
why
don't
we
go
one
yeah.
D
That's
it
so
I
think
it's
important
for
everyone
to.
We
all
realize
that
the
revenues
at
the
airport
are
driven
by
the
number
of
people
who,
through
the
facility
with
that
being
said,
one
of
the
fundamental
things
we
want
to
look
at
is
our
projection
for
passengers.
As
we
look
at
next
year
and
we
have
tried
to
mirror
the
very
conservative
approach
the
city
has
taken
so
going
through
the
report
here.
D
We
certainly
expect
our
our
passengers,
through
the
summer
to
be
quite
low,
July
and
August
80%
less
than
a
normal
year,
September
and
October
70%
less
and
then
we're
hopeful
by
the
time
the
holidays
roll
around
that
we
will
receive
some
new
flights,
especially
from
Canada
and
some
of
our
top
markets.
So
we're
optimistic
there.
D
E
B
Know
you
just
want
to
let
you
know
that
on
the
vacation
rental
side
of
things,
some
of
our
owners
are
are
having
sort
of
communication
from
their
Canadian
winter
attendance
that
they're,
considering
not
coming
due
to
health
insurance
concerns,
something
that's
changing
in
terms
of
the
ability
to
get
health
insurance
when
they're
here
in
the
US
I,
don't
know
if
that's
how
widespread
that
is,
but
it's
something
you
might
want
to
look
at.
Thank.
D
So
following
the
passenger
projection
are
our
revenues
that
part
of
the
page
by
major
categories
also
reduced
by
about
48
percent,
and
you
can
see
the
the
various
in
different
areas
there,
where
we
feel
that
this
is
relatively
conservative.
But
we
want
to
go
into
next
year
with
a
realistic
approach,
and
that
is
the
current
of
scenario
looking
at
total
budget
revenues
of
14
and
a
half
million
as
compared
to
what
we
had
approved
last
year.
D
Twenty
seven
point:
seven
million
on
the
expense
side
again
we're
looking
at
the
major
categories
by
Department
and
the
expense
only
reduced
by
7
percent.
We
have
many
things
that
are
fixed
here
from
from
payroll
salaries
and
various
sundry,
other
things
that
certainly
the
utilities
and
some
of
the
expenses
the
that
will
continue
to
go
on.
So
we
were
not
able
to
reduce
expenses
by
a
similar
amount.
But
with
that
being
said,
the
cares
grant
will
will
bridge
the
gap
you
can
see
at
the
bottom
of
page.
D
D
We
may
use
two
million
of
that
this
year,
just
to
make
certain
that
things
that
are
balanced
and
then
next
year,
eight
point
six
million,
leaving
a
balance
and
the
Cure's
grant
of
three
hundred
and
thirty
seven
thousand,
which
is
not
much,
but
it
is
a
margin
that
we
could
use
through
any
unforeseen
condition,
and
the
bottom
of
the
page
is
real
quickly.
The
things
that
we
did
pull
from
the
budget:
1.5
million
in
capital
projects,
aerial
deductions
operating
and
maintenance
for
a
total
of
3.4
million
dollars.
D
D
Page
three
is
just
a
summary
of
our
cash
on
hand.
This
does
not
include
the
PFC
fund
or
the
CFCs,
primarily
our
operating
revenues,
our
operating
cash
total
operating
cash.
Thirteen
point,
four
million,
which
includes
our
reserves
for
our
prayers
and
and
airline
reserves
for
unforeseen
things.
Capital.
Two
point:
three
million,
which
we've
already
taken
out:
funds
that
are
allocated
for
projects
next
year,
which
includes
their
matching
share
for
the
tickling
project
into
to
finish
that
and
then
2020
again.
D
There's
the
we
may
finish
with
a
slight
deficit,
but
we
use
cares
money
for
that
2021.
If
we
finish
with
the
eight
point,
seven,
you
can
see
that
currently
we
have
twenty
six
million
dollars,
including
the
Cure's
grant
fund,
and
we
would
finish
next
year
with
still
sixteen
million
dollars,
which
is
actually
slightly
greater
than
just
our
the
airport
cash
on
hand,
not
including
the
cares
grant-
and
that
is
a
brief
summary
of
that.
So
we're
very
optimistic
that
the
airport
can
continue
through
next
year
in
a
relatively
good
position.
A
E
The
city
offered
what
they
call
an
earlier
voluntary
retirement.
That
was
a
first
step
in
the
austerity
program,
we're
happy
for
those
that
are
retiring,
but
unfortunately
there
were
eight
positions
out
of
our
seventy-five
here
that
took
the
retirement
mark
happens
to
be
one
of
them
or
so
mark
is
scheduled
to
retire
by
the
end
of
the
year.
So
what
would
your
second
part
of
it?
Oh.
A
E
E
If
we
don't
replace
those
positions,
then
we're
going
to
obviously
not
deliver
exceptional,
but
probably
going
down
to
more
of
the
average.
So
that's
that
way,
I
can
explain
it
in
no
way
shape
or
form
will
it
be
unsafe
for
inefficient,
but
it
will
be
running
at
an
average
and
we've
worked
hard
over
the
years
to
get
to
this
level
so
mark.
Can
we
convince
you
otherwise
to
you?
A
E
A
E
Thank
You,
mr.
chairman,
to
put
it
again
succinctly:
airports
nationwide
have
been
pummeled
in
regards
to
the
more
passengers,
are
several
revenue
sources,
which
are
absolutely
indicative
of
number
of
passengers.
The
number
of
car
rentals
that
are
rented
the
number
of
concessions
that
are
bought
and
consumed,
and
a
lot
of
other
aspects
of
the
operation.
E
E
Now,
since
the
pandemic
has
hit
HMS
host,
who
does
the
food
and
beverage
in
in
no
shorter
terms
is
an
extreme
financial
deprivation
and
condition
they
have
opted
to
not
continue?
There
must
a
month
arrangement
they
had,
they
have
indicated.
It
was
all
part
of
streamlining
the
country,
the
entire
company,
to
get
through
the
pandemic
and
then
rise
out
of
this
at
a
later
date.
So
they
have
exercised
the
right
to
not
continue
the
must
a
month.
E
What
we
have
asked
them
to
do,
just
for
the
relationship
that's
been
so
strong
over
the
years
is
to
hold
on
for
another
60
days
as
we
work
with
the
other
concessionaire
parodies
and
in
fact
90.
If
you
could,
please
pull
that
up
the
exhibit
regarding
that,
so
one
has
to
ask
what
parodies
does
gifts
and
that
isn't
just
the
case.
If
you
construe
this
is
this,
is
we
immediately
went
to
parodies
and
said?
E
So
that
will
fill
the
void
starting
July
1st
and,
as
everyone
knows
here,
our
offseason
is
slower
considerably
slower
than
peak
season.
So
as
much
as
I
hate
to
say,
the
timing
is
good
because
they
will
take
over
as
we
are
recovering
with
increased
traffic
on
a
month-to-month
basis.
Parodies
is
willing
to
gear
up
now.
Hms
will
be
leaving
several
concessions
behind
and
they
will
take
us.
E
They
are
going
to
work
to
take
a
certain
amount
of
equipment,
we're
going
to
try
to
convince
them
not
to
we'll
see
how
that
works
out
and
then,
as
the
market
matures
again
parodies
will
have
the
ability
to
quote
unquote
fire
up
those
concessions,
starting
with
the
Starbucks.
Now
the
good
news
is,
the
Starbucks
has
license
agreements
not
only
with
HMS
but
also
with
parodies.
So
that
is
very
good.
We
all
would
like
to
see
a
full-fledged
Starbucks.
We
have
two
of
them
here
if
you
could
slide
down
to
the
next
slide
on
parodies.
E
Well,
if
that's
so
that
was
it
okay,
but
mr.
chairman
bad
good
news-
and
this
will
hold
us
over
until
the
appropriate
time
where
the
Commission
and
council
decide
let's
go
out
rfp
in
retrospect,
had
we
gone
out
for
the
RFP
and
this
pandemic,
it
would
have
been
good
because
it
very
well
could
have
worked
out
where
we
made
a
choice
and
then
that
company
big,
basically
financially
collapses,
and
it
would
have
put
us
in
some
real
hurt
right
at
that
point.
A
D
This
has
been
coming
for
some
time
the
Airport
Commission
actually
in
February
meeting
approved
at
one-year
extension
with
four
one-year
options.
Since
that
time
we
certainly
have
experienced
the
pandemic
situation,
and
the
car
Reynolds
notified
us
that
they
did
not
want
to
enter
into
that
sort
of
arrangement,
because
the
options
were
the
sole
discretion
of
the
city.
D
With
that
being
said,
they
certainly
are
willing
to
continue
a
one-year
extension
and
keeping
the
current
terms
and
conditions,
keeping
the
current
operators,
and
they
feel
strongly
that
a
year
from
now,
we
will
have
a
much
better
idea
of
how
things
look
moving
forward.
So
we
will
be
taking
just
a
one-year
amendment
to
City
Council
for
their
consideration,
and
we
certainly
wanted
to
let
the
Airport
Commission
know
that
the
deal
that
they
approved
in
February
has
changed.
A
Thank
you
any
questions
about.
What's
going
on
with
the
rental
car
extension
and
agreement,
if
any
of
you
have
driven
around
the
airport,
I
think
it's
what
7,000
of
their
cars
are
parked
on
the
airport
property.
That's
correct,
so
7,000
rental
cars
are
parked.
If
you
drive
around
here,
if
you
go
through
the
Kirk
Douglas
shortcut,
I
call
it
you'll
certainly
see
them
around.
It's
called
collateral.
It's
called
collateral,
that's
the
collateral!
Yes,
all
right!
Any
questions
to
their
car
when
looking
at.
A
E
Ticketing
is
moving
swiftly
and
in
doing
well.
The
passenger
boarding
bridge
is
out
on
the
street,
and
we've
got
a
lot
of
interest.
There's
about
three
companies
in
the
United
States
that
are
in
that
type
of
business
and
interested,
and
those
bids
should
come
to
fruition
soon
and
we're
anxiously
awaiting
that
again,
it's
an
opportune
time.
Given
the
upside
to
the
pandemic,
it
did
slow
down
to
be
able
to
pull
out
these
projects
and
do
without
minimal
disruptions
to
the
organization.
E
Now,
if
we
were
to
look
at
a
silver
lining
about
the
pandemic
again-
and
we
must
look
at
that-
is,
if
you
recall
our
car
rental
project-
projections
based
on
2.6
million
passengers,
had
an
extraordinarily
high
1.4
million
square
feet
of
new
car
rental
facility,
and
if
you
recall,
when
we
modeled
that
and
put
it
next
to
the
terminal
building,
it
looked
like
a
terminal
building
attached
to
a
car
rental
structure.
The
council
wasn't
happy
about
it.
Not
many
of
us
were.
E
We
were
in
the
process
of
looking
at
alternatives
and
that
site
right
off
a
Kirk
Douglas
where
there's
about
3,500
of
those
seven
thousand
vehicles
park,
and
we
had
come
up
with
some
great
options
there
as
well,
so
long
story
short.
We
are
coming
out
of
this
pandemic
and
we're
going
to
be
strong
again
and
and
we're
very
confident
that
right
now
we
need
to
continue
right
this
moment,
but
within
the
next
couple
of
months
we
need
to
again
bring
that
dust
it
off
and
start
talking
about
it.
E
We've
got
22
million
in
CFCs
that
are
ready
and
waiting.
I
think
the
bond
market
might
be
more
favorable.
Now
and
it'll
become
more
affordable
and
we
do
not
need
probably
1.4
million
square
feet,
but
something
that's
more
manageable.
So
that's
the
silver
lining
to
that
and
I
hope.
We
keep
that
dialogue
going.
A
B
E
That
has
all
seceded,
it
is
stopped.
We
have
stopped
any
expenditures
and
told
Gensler
architects
to
stop,
and
that's
been
several
months
at
the
point
when
we
pick
it
up
again,
we
will
essentially
have
to
rego
redo
a
lot
of
the
capacity
exercises
redo
our
forecast
and
I
was
just
indicating
that
we
were
forced
into
that
second
potential
alternative
based
on
the
the
massive
size
of
the
1.4
million,
which
was
incompatible
with
the
terminal.
E
So
now,
if
I
were
to
conjecture,
that
1.4
million
will
probably
be
below
a
million,
and
we
might
be
back
to
the
original
site
to
bring
a
level
of
comfort
and
aesthetic
compatibility
that
the
City
Council
expects
and
to
preserve
other
convenience
and
amenities
for
our
passengers.
So
there
is
no
work
being
done
on
that
until
yet
to
be
determined
there.
E
B
Yes,
I'm
usually
a
pessimist,
but
in
this
case
optimist,
if
we
have
our
scaling
back
to
a
1
million
square
foot
facility,
what
happens
when
our
capacity
exceeds
that
as
their
games
are
gonna
work
on
some
sort
of
sort
of
modularity?
For
what
would
happen
in
case
or
at
the
point
where
we're
actually
scaling
beyond
the
1
million
square
foot?
Well,.
E
A
F
Polymer
earlier
was
talking
about
the
ticketing
project
and
the
construction
going
on
and
invited
commissioners
I
took
him
up
on
that
and
did
an
excellent
job
is
showing
me
all
around.
What's
going
on
and
all
construction
and
I
encourage
any
other
commissioners
take
him
up
on
this
offer
because
he
did
a
great
job
showing
me
around.
Thank
you
tom
thank.
A
You
bill
for
that
comment,
I.
He,
as
you
I
mentioned
earlier,
I've,
been
out
two
or
three
times
he
does
an
incredible
job
and,
along
with
bill,
I
urge
every
commissioner
who
has
an
interest
to
really
seen
firsthand
to
reach
out
to
Tom
and
and
your
convenience
Tom
will
show
you
around
and
exactly
what's
going
on
other
comments
or
questions
from
any
of
the
commissioners
under
this
agenda
item.
It's.
B
B
E
E
E
We
have
a
higher
demographic
higher
spend
and
the
airlines
will
be
eager
now
that
we've
proven
ourselves
in
the
in
the
world
of
the
airline
industry
with
hitting
2.6
million
pasture
passengers
double-digit
growth.
Mr.
chairman,
for
two
years
they
know
that
we're
a
hot
market
and
when
we
get
our
sea
legs
back
into
full
bore
the
airlines
will
match
and
bring
back
capacity
as
needed.
Some
might
be
regional
judge,
some
might
be
medium,
I,
don't
think
we'll
see
the
767
that
Air
Canada
brought
down
again
for
a
while,
but
we're
very
confident
with
that.
B
E
D
Peter
to
answer
that
question,
perhaps
a
different
way.
Many
of
the
airlines
have
gone
to
contracted
services
and
the
smaller
jets
are
contracted
at
this
time.
Many
of
their
own
crews
have
been
on
furlough,
as
L
mentioned
at
the
beginning
of
the
meeting,
American
will
be
bringing
back
141
of
their
aircraft.
Delta
will
be
bringing
a
larger
aircraft
back
next
month
as
well
in
Palm
Springs.
What
that
means.
C
Breslin
here,
I
just
wanted
to
inform
you
I.
Some
of
you
know,
I'm
on
the
mayor's
task
force
for
the
retention
and
transition
to
reopening
for
the
businesses,
and
one
of
the
issues
that
comes
up
quite
often
is
the
issue
that
in
Palm
Springs
basements
mass
are
mandatory
and
many
people
get
confused
because
so
many
other
areas
don't
have
the
mandatory
anymore.
In
many
of
the
situations
that
we
do
so
I
didn't
know
how
the
airlines
were
addressing
when
big
passengers
depart
or
I
know,
they
must
have
face,
masks
themselves
on
board.
C
E
E
If
you
get
to
the
gate,
the
airlines
will
likely
ask
you
to
make
EEP
the
masks
on
when
you
get
on
the
aircraft,
but
we
are
expecting
a
shipment
of
tens
of
thousands
of
masks
from
the
FAA
through
the
federal
government
should
be
arriving
any
week
that
could
be
used
for
passengers
and
or
other
staff.
So,
but
I
can
assure
you
that
that
is
being
respected
here
at
the
airport,
and
we
are
watching
that
very
closely.
C
A
Let
me
add
to
again:
if
you
get
a
chance
to
come
out,
you'll
find
the
signage
is
rather
extensive:
the
stations
for
cleaning
and
etc.
Tom
has
done
a
great
job
here
at
the
airport
to
make
sure
that
passengers
who
come
in
or
leave
are
really
aware
of
the
requirements
required
by
the
city
of
Palm
Springs.
So
you
would
see
that
in
action.
C
A
F
It's
Todd
Burke,
yes,
Todd,
just
one
question
I
know
under
the
cares,
Act
that
all
airlines
are
still
required
to
maintain
service,
albeit
on
a
slightly
reduced
basis
to
every
city
they
serve.
Do
we
know,
have
any
airlines
asked
for
an
exemption
to
remove
Palm
Springs
temporarily
from
from
their
routes?
Yes,.
E
Allegiant,
JetBlue
and
frontier
have,
and
it's
gone
back
and
forth
there.
This
is
new
for
the
federal
government
new
for
the
airlines,
so
they've
gone
back
and
forth
at
one
point
they
asked
it
we're
able
to
pull
it
back
and
they
had
to
bring
it
back
in
some
cases
and
now
they've.
Finally,
gotten
sanctions
to
pull
it
back.
E
In
fact,
JetBlue
will
no
longer
be
serving
New,
York
and
I
forget
exactly
the
date,
but
it's
been
back
and
forth
and
we've
been
cooperative
with
that
because
we
know
by
the
time
we
are
getting
back
and
the
demand
grows.
They
told
us
they
remembered
that
we
supported
their
need
to
adjust
their
schedule.
That
was
when
there
were
three
passenger
aircraft,
and
that
was
I.
Think
versus
my
things.
B
A
A
Right
we're
down
to
the
receiving
end
file.
You
have
the
activity
reports
that
were
sent
out.
Clearly
you've
had
a
chance
to
review
those
and
make
some
comments.
So
we're
now
up
to
the
point
of
adjournment
but
I'm
going
to
ask
one
last
time:
are
there
any
Michener's
who
have
any
questions
or
comments
before
we
adjourn.
