From YouTube: Parks and Recreation Commission | Sept 27th, 2021
Description
City of Palm Springs Parks and Recreation Committee Meeting, held September 27th, 2021
A
Hi,
thank
you.
Everyone
for
waiting,
I'm
jeannie
case
the
library
director
and
the
interim
parks
and
rec
director,
so
we're
here
to
do
the
commission
meeting
and
I'm
going
to
turn
it
over
to
jerry.
We
are
recording.
B
Welcome
everybody
to
the
september
meeting
city
of
palm
springs
parks
and
restoration
commission
meeting.
Let's
start
with,
let
me
see
call
the
order
at
5,
37.
B
A
A
A
Okay
and
then
alan
bowley
resigned
just
so
you
know,
I
don't
know
if
you
knew
that.
A
A
The
agenda
was
posted,
as
required
at
city
hall
and
at
the
community
centers
and
on
the
website.
A
A
Roll
call
ready
question
alcorn,
commissioner,.
A
We
have
to
do
roll
call,
call
approval
whenever
we
approve
something,
so
you
all
have
to
unmute
and
approve.
A
Will
come
back,
commissioner,
diaz.
A
A
We
do
have
lots
of
correspondence
you
all
risk
should
have
received
that
information
in
your
email.
Is
that
how
you
normally
do
it.
B
A
D
And
and
they
just
kept
coming
on
throughout
the
day,
and
so
as
a
working
person
right,
I
didn't
necessarily
see
all
of
them
and-
and
I
just
left
work
to
get
here
to
do
this,
so
I
don't
know
speaking
for
myself
about
two
o'clock.
That
was
probably
the
last
time
I
saw
any.
I
don't
know
if
you
want
to
read
them
just
to
make
sure
that
they're
recorded
or
put
out
there
just
so
everybody's
heard
them
or
I
don't
know
how
you
want
to
do
it,
but
just.
A
Would
it
be
reasonable
to
have
us
put
it
together
as
a
packet,
and
then
we
could
add
that
as
an
attachment
on
our
website
on
the
commission's
attached
items,
would
that
be
reasonable?.
B
D
A
I
agree,
I
think
that
would
be
reasonable
and
then
also
allow
the
community
to
see
them
too.
Besides
just
doing
and
reading
them.
I
think
that
would
be
a
better
way
to
do
it.
B
F
A
So
what
I
will
do
is
I'm
just
gonna
go
on
the
the
list
of
people
that
are
are
signed
up
as
participants.
I'm
just
going
to
go
down
the
list
and
then
call
your
name,
so
annette
sanders
will
be
first
and
then
david
weiner
will
be
good,
so
annette.
G
Hi
this
is
annette,
I'm
not
sure
quite
what
we're
supposed
to
comment
on
just
yet,
but
I
know
we're
discussing
the
dog
park
and
filled
out
the
survey
today,
and
I
understand
that
we're
putting
our
comments
into
have
improvements
done
at
the
park.
I've
been
living
in
the
valley
now
for
four
years
and
coming
to
the
dog
park
about
three
of
those
years,
and
I
have
a
small
dog
and
I
would
say
my
first
issue
is:
oh,
my
gosh.
The
trash
cans
need
to
be
replaced.
G
They
they
have
wood
lids
on
them,
they're
warped.
They
do
no
good
at
keeping
the
pests
out
of
the
trash
cans.
So
we
end
up
with
a
ton
of
flies
in
the
park
and
and
also
we
need
to
do
something
about.
I
think
the
gnats,
because
I
usually
walk
around
the
park,
and
so
I'm
not
really
bothered
by
them,
but
as
soon
as
I
stop
walking,
you're
just
inundated,
so
it
makes
it
really
difficult
and
several
trees
have
been
removed.
G
It
would
be
great
to
have
those
replaced
and
they
offered
a
quite
a
bit
of
shade,
which
is
nice,
especially
when
it
gets
to
be
very,
very
hot,
so
other
than
that
it's
a
wonderful
park,
and
I'm
really
really
glad
it's
there,
because
my
dog
expends
a
lot
of
energy
there,
which
makes
her
a
much
calmer
to
be
around,
which
is
great.
So
thank
you
for
listening
to
all
of
our
comments
and
taking
this
into
consideration.
I
appreciate
it.
A
A
C
A
A
Okay,
david,
we
can
come
back
to
you
annette
sanders
that
one
right
we
did
annette
yeah.
She.
A
A
H
Okay,
I
just
wanted
to
make
a
couple
of
points
that
the
I
know
this
is
about
doing
work
at
the
dog
park
and,
to
that
point
I'll,
I've
noted
that
in
the
past,
when
the
dog
park
closes
for
a
redo
that
there
are
many
many
days
within
within
that
period,
where
no
work
is
being
done
now.
I
know
you
can't
when
it
comes
to
plantings
and
stuff
it
takes
time,
but
if
you
can
get
that
somehow
get
that
done
quickly,
whatever
you
decide
to
do,
it
would
be
great.
H
The
second
thing
is
that
it's
not
just
about
the
dogs
and
the
animals
we
moved
here
four
years
ago
and
our
whole
social
circle
comes
from
the
dog
park,
and
so
I
think
it's
important
to
make
the
the
comfort
provide
comfort
for
the
dog
owners
also-
and
my
last
point
will
be-
I
think
there
are
about
four
basic
sitting
areas-
two
covered
and
two
shaded
by
trees.
We
need
a
mr
system,
that's
employed
during
the
summer.
A
Thank
you,
john
brown,.
H
H
I
don't
know
who
cleans
it
up,
but
it's
not
very
clean.
I
think
we
need
to
address
that.
The
grass
needs
to
be
mowed
on
occasion,
it'll
be
nice
if
we
could
get
some
sort
of
a
doggy,
splash
playground
or
just
a
doggy
splash
area
where
they
have
water,
squirting
or
something.
H
I
know
there
are
dogs
that,
like
that
a
lot
but
other
than
that,
I
think
things
are
okay.
It
just
needs
to
be
cleaner.
A
Okay,
so
chris
with
the
k,
k-r-I-s
hi
hello,
go
ahead.
You've
got
three
minutes:
oh
okay,.
H
Hi
I'm
chris
well
kristy,
mcdonald
and
the
I
agree
with
what
everyone
has
I
mean
annette.
Even
I
mean
she
has,
I
think,
kind
of
maybe
solved
the
mystery
of
the
gnats
and
the
fly
issue
with
having
some
sort
of
garbage
situation
that
will
make
a
difference
as
well
as
for
me.
H
But
honestly,
I
think
when
it
gets
down
to
the
maintenance
of
the
park,
needs
to
we
as
a
community
going
in
a
village
going
to
the
park.
We
need
to
be
more
diligent
and
I
don't
know
how
or
what
we
need
to
do
to
enforce
that.
But
I
think
that
falls
on
us.
The
dog
owner's
responsibility
to
make
sure
that
if
we
can
try
to
do
something
to
ensure
that
it
is
being
cleaned
that,
I
think
would
make
a
huge
difference.
H
The
other
item
that
I
have
noticed
anyway
and
just
I'm
16
years
old,
I've
been
living
in
palm
springs
on
and
off.
Since
I
was
five,
so
I
mean
the
dog
park
is
not
a
new
new
thing,
but
kind
of
a
new
thing.
For
me,
as
far
as
the
maintenance
I've
been
to
the
one
out
at
rancho
mirage
back
and
forth,
it
just
seems
to
me
the
winning
rancho
mirage
is
very
pristine
compared
to
ours.
H
For
whatever
reason
I
I
I
can't
answer
that,
but
there
is
a
huge
difference
as
far
as
the
cleanliness
and,
if
there's
something
we
can
learn
in
that
arena,
then
so
be
it
and
just
maintaining
the
trees.
H
I
mean
we
lost
a
tree
and
I
think
we
need
to
preserve
what
is
there
and
you
know
I,
between
the
cleanliness
and
maintaining,
I
think,
are
the
two
huge
issues
and
if
we
can
tackle
those
two
things,
I
think
it's
going
to
be
a
a
good
show,
and
maybe
just
you
know
when
they
do
the
seating
come
seating
time
here
that
you
know
we
have
a
little
bit
better
of
a
a
ground
covering
as
far
as
just
being
a
little
bit
more.
H
You
know
grassy
any
without
any
other
way
to
say
it,
a
grassy
situation
that
isn't
like
ripped
apart
and
everything.
But
I
know
I
mean
it's
our
kiddos,
okay,
I'm
gonna.
Let
you
go.
C
H
D
A
Me
paul
your
your
sound
is
cutting
out.
A
A
Okay,
I'm
gonna
skip
richard
haynes.
I
Hi,
thank
you
for
this.
I
moved
here
with
my
husband
in
2012.,
so
I've
been
coming
to
the
dog
park
since
day.
One
and
like
gary
said
earlier.
I
Most
of
my
social
network
has
come
from
the
dog
park,
so
it's
an
important
part
of
my
life
in
the
dog's
life.
I
There
was
the
major
redo
a
few
years
ago
and
it
looked
nice
for
opening
day
and
unfortunately,
after
that
it
just
seemed
to
wear
away,
and
there
were
drainage
issues
that
were
somewhat
addressed,
but
not
entirely
and
there's
always
been
a
dispute
with
the
small
dog
park
section
in
the
long
big
dog
park
section
about
ground
cover.
I
It's
just
easy
to
see
where
the
grass
doesn't
grow,
that
maybe
that
needs
to
be
a
different
type
of
ground
cover.
I
agree
with
the
person
who
talked
about
rancho,
looking
beautiful,
but
that's
privately
endowed.
It's
not
government
funded.
So
therein
lies
the
difference
for
that,
but
they
use
red
clay
as
one
of
their
ground
covers,
and
it's
always,
I
wouldn't
suggest
doing
that
for
our
part,
because
anybody
who's
wearing
white
ends
up
pink
from
it.
I
So
but
I
talked
to
other
people
who
weren't
going
to
be
on
the
call,
so
I
have
a
few
things
that
people
want
asked
me
to
address.
One
is
parking
in
the
parking
area,
people
who
work
at
the
airport
park
in
the
parking
lot
and
people
from
the
health
center
behind
the
dog
park
park
there.
I
You
know
where
there
are
meters
and
you
put
up
your
card
in
or
whatever
and
your
license,
and
you
just
get
a
sticker
for
the
day
whatever,
because
I
know
a
lot
of
seasonal
people
come
or
or
weekenders
use
the
dog
park
as
well.
I
It
would
be
great
if
they're
someone
else
mentioned
it
if
there
was
a
water
feature
for
the
dogs,
but
on
top
of
that
it
would
be
great
if
there
was
a
place
for
people
to
wash
their
dogs.
You
know
hose
them
down.
That's
on
a
neutral
territory:
it's
not
the
park,
but
it's
a
place
to
wet
your
dog.
So
you
don't
bring
a
muddy
dog
in
the
into
your
car.
G
Hi,
can
you
hear
me
yes,
great?
Thank
you
genie.
I
think
we
met
a
few
days
ago.
Did
you
start
the
egg
timer
okay?
This
is
going
to
be
like
an
olympic
sport.
Ask
jeff
course
jeff
asked
me
yesterday.
G
He
was
generous
enough
to
meet
me
on
a
sunday
morning,
along
with
the
head
of
the
united
states,
tennis
association,
which
is
the
governing
body
of
tennis
in
the
united
states,
particularly
socal,
and
their
community
tennis
leaders,
slash
diversity
and
inclusion.
G
I'm
told
by
numerous
people
that
this
hoop,
I'm
jumping
through,
is
required
to
get
what
I
want,
and
I
it's
not
for
me.
It's
actually
for
my
community,
I'm
a
community
tennis
instructor,
we're
kind
of
the
unknown
people
that
provide
tennis
for
those
that
don't
see
themselves
in
it
either
for
economic
reasons
or
reasons
because
of
their
gender,
ethnicity
or
sexual
orientation.
Frankly,
usta
takes
care
of
that.
G
I
have
a
number
of
programs
coming
to
palm
springs
and,
despite
coming
out
of
covid
and
the
additional
heat
of
summer,
that
sequestered
us
in
somehow,
nobody
has
had
the
wisdom
to
light
the
tennis
courts
at
ruth
hardy
park
and
it
seems
sort
of
almost
hypocritical
to
say
a
city
cares
about
its
residence
and
its
health
and
well-being.
D
D
G
These
things
we're
losing
40
hours
a
week
of
potential
play.
I
give
free
and
affordable
lessons.
I'm
a
certified
coach,
I'm
a
ust,
umpire
I've
been
doing
this
for
two
decades.
We
need
lights
so
unless
you
want
me
to
hire
exotic
dancers
and
put
flashlights
on
their
heads
to
scale
the
fences,
I
need
your
help
and
I
have
an
entire
plan
put
in
place.
G
We
have
what
may
be
an
unprecedented,
sanctioned
senior
tournament
public
coming
to
palm
springs
in
february
some
charity
events,
I've
reached
out
to
the
mizell
center,
the
lgbt
center
of
the
desert
and
any
other
boys
and
girls
club,
which
I
actually
provided,
the
tennis
for
three
locations
in
la
pasadena,
monrovia
and
hollywood,
which
usta
wasn't
even
able
to
do.
I
kind
of
do
the
impossible,
but
I'm
more
of
an
activist,
and
I
need
your
help
to
be
more
of
a
advocate.
G
G
B
J
J
H
Hi
there,
okay
hi,
I'm
tim
manning
and
I've
been
a
resident
for
over
20
years
and
going
to
the
dog
park
for
probably
about
the
last
10
years,
and
originally
I
went
with
the
mindset.
I
was
going
solely
for
the
benefit
of
the
dogs
and
their
exercise
and
socialization,
but
have
come
to
realize
what
a
vital
daily
gathering
place.
This
is
for
so
many
of
our
residents
to
get
out
and
socialize
with
other
people
with
whom
have
the
same
interests.
H
I
personally
made
a
point
to
look
after
a
woman
who
was
in
her
80s
that
comes
to
the
park
every
morning
with
a
dog,
and
we
play
ball,
and
I
know
that's
most
likely
to
be
her.
Only
interaction
of
other
folks
that
day
and
I'm
concerned
that
she
doesn't
show
up
and
have
to
check
up
on
her,
so
it
is
vital.
I
think
that
we
spend
the
resources
necessary
to
ensure
the
cleanliness
and
safety,
as
well
as
the
sustainability
of
our
dog
park,
for
both
residents
and
their
dogs.
H
Currently,
the
park
is
poorly
maintained
on
a
daily
basis,
with
lawns
not
being
regularly
mowed
gates,
often
left
locked
doggy
bags,
often
missing
from
the
stations
filthy,
pooper,
scoopers,
broken
and
scattered
about
the
park
and
filthy
water.
Bowls
and
tattered
lawn
chairs
strewn
about.
There
are
broken
water
sources,
dangerous
sharp
holes
poking
up
out
of
the
ground
for
broken
trash
cans
and
pooper
scooper
stations
and
trees,
falling
down
for
not
being
properly
trimmed
or
stabilized
continually
to
make
this
park
unsafe
and
help
unhealthy
for
both
dogs
and
people
alike.
H
We
do
need
and
want
a
parks
with
sustainable
ground
cover
so
as
not
to
have
to
close
completely
down
for
four
to
six
weeks
every
year,
leaving
many
of
these
people
without
a
social
outlet,
and
we
need
a
daily
maintenance
team
that
will
be
held
accountable
for
keeping
the
park
clean
and
safe,
wider
sidewalks,
a
complete
drainage
system,
less
rock
and
interactive
components
for
dogs
to
play
and
socialize
more
shade
and
comfortable
permanent
seating
are
just
some
of
the
things
the
dog
park
desperately
needs.
We
really
would
appreciate
your
support
in
this
endeavor.
A
That
was
three
minutes
on
the
nose.
Did
I
miss
anybody
who
wanted
to
give
public
comment?
Oh
gary
johns
go
ahead.
H
I'm
sorry
I
just
I
just
thought
I
would
certainly
support
mr
giuliani.
I
go
to
the
dog
park.
I
have
three
dogs
I'd
like
to
just
see
our
improvement
of
our
basic
services
and
maintaining
of
those
services
like
the
trash
bins.
They
are
problematic,
they
don't
they
don't
seal
that
waste
in
and
they
do
attract
flies
in
that
basic
improvements,
waste
bags
there
should
never
be
a
lack
of
waste
bags
on
the
weekend.
Somebody
really
needs
to
keep
those.
H
I'd
like
to
see
improvements
in
our
seating
and
some
additional
shade
structures
and
nothing
beats
a
tree.
If
we
have
a
problem
with
the
trees
there,
they
should
be
maintained
and
improved,
but
we
shouldn't
keep
losing
trees,
it's
a
park
and
again,
mr
giuliani.
I
think
you
really
hit
all
the
all
the
major
points.
So
thank
you
very
much.
I
didn't
mean
to
speak,
but
thank
you
for
allowing
me.
H
Yeah,
okay,
thanks,
let
me
put
my
hand
down.
I
just
want
to
thank
you
guys
for
taking
this
matter
into
consideration
and
also
to
tim
and
the
other
people
that
worked
on
this
survey,
because
I
know
that
they
spent
a
lot
of
time
and
energy
on
this
to
share.
H
You
know
with
the
commission
what
what
people
need
from
our
park.
I
have
a
relatively
new
puppy.
I
go
every
single
day
if
I
don't
go,
she's
she's
a
terror,
but
you
know
it
is
it's
a
socialization
for
both
her
and
for
me,
and
I
think
you
know,
we've
talked
about
some
of
the
upgrades
that
that
could
be
hopefully
provided.
H
I
think
we,
you
know
we're
not
asking
for
you
know
gold-plated
benches
or
anything
like
that.
I
just
hope
you
know
I
think,
with
a
little
bit
of
work.
We
can
really
make
this
into
a
nice
dog
park
that
everyone
will
enjoy
going
to.
So
I
want
to
just
add
that
two
cents
and
thank
you
thank
the
commissioners
for
taking
this
into
consideration
and
looking
at
the
issues
that
we
can.
You
know
provide
a
better
space
for
our
residents
and
for
our
four-legged
residents.
A
The
only
thing
I
would
ask
is
council
member
course.
Would
you
like
to
give
comment
at
all
or
at
any
moment.
G
Sure
I'll
just
be
brief.
Commissioner
goodman
reached
out
to
me
to
talk
about
the
dog
park
which
we're
going
to
meet
and
do.
C
And
I
did
get
a
chance
to
go
over
there
over
the
weekend
and
we'll
be
there
again
tomorrow
morning
and
I
knew
there'd
be
public
comments.
I
wanted
to
hear
it.
I
just
also
wanted
to
share
with
the
commission
that
november
19th
and
20th
we're
going
to
have
two
days
of
council
strategic
planning,
which
of
course
is
open
to
the
public
and
parks
is
at
the
top
of
my
list
of
things
to
talk
about
what
our
you
know.
C
Thoughts
for
the
city
are
funding
and
other
issues
related
to
that.
So
I
want
to
make
sure
the
commission
was
aware
of
that
at
this
meeting-
and
I
know
you're
talking
about
measure
j
but
potentially
at
your
next
meeting,
because
getting
input
from
the
commission
and
I'm
happy
to
work
with
a
small
group
from
the
commission
on
priorities.
C
I
think,
could
be
really
helpful
in
that
strategic
planning
retreat.
Another
several
council
members
have
publicly
said:
that's
a
really
high
priority
parks
and
rec
for
them.
So
I
want
to
really
make
sure
we
have
that
input
from
the
commission
prior
to
that
meeting,
and
hopefully
some
of
the
commissioners
can
attend
that
as
well.
That's
it
thank
you
so
much
and
thanks
everyone
for
your
work
and
thanks
everyone
for
the
public
comments.
That
was
really
helpful
for
me.
A
H
And
and
I'm
going
to
jump
in
on
this,
I've
heard
some
people
suggesting
artificial
turf
and
from
my
experience
I've
been
coaching
sports
for
30
years.
Artificial
turf
in
the
desert
is
a
real
bad
choice
because
it
gets
so
hot.
B
Just
want
to
say
thank
you
to
all
the
public
for
all
the
comments
we
as
a
commission.
We
take
them
all
into
account
where
I
have
over
a
page
of
notes,
we're
all
going
to
be
working
on
this.
We
take
this
very
seriously
working
with
city
council,
bringing
them
our
recommendations,
and
just
thank
everybody
honestly
for
your
public
comments
on
this
section.
A
Council
member,
of
course,
I
have
a
question:
will
there
be
time
for
public
comment
at
the
strategic
planning
retreat?
I
believe.
B
A
Okay,
hi,
I'm
your
new
interim,
the
recreation
director
and
library
director.
So
two
hats,
yeah.
Let
me
share
my
screen.
Let
me
get
the
screen
up.
I
want
to
show
you
some
some
slides
and
talk
to
you
about
what
is
just
one
moment.
Let's
get
this
going.
A
A
The
leisure
center
has
and
janice
and
a
bunch
of
people
have
been
decorating
the
leisure
center
to
celebrate
hispanic
heritage
month.
So
you
should
stop
by
and
check
it
out.
We've
got
a
few
pictures
here.
It
just
looks
really
nice
with
the
flags
of
the
of
countries
around
the
world
and
the
papel
picado
right.
Is
that
what
it's
called?
I
think
so
we
have
some
really
great
fun.
A
Well,
one
thing
about
the
hispanic
heritage:
month
too,
they,
the
team,
is
really
working
hard
on
our
social
media
account
so
follow
us
on
instagram
and
facebook
for
a
lot
of
great
fun
posts.
Now
halloween
is
coming
up,
as
you
might
know,
and
we're
going
to
do
a
bunch
of
different
activities
at
the
different
community
centers
on
october
23rd
we're
going
to
kick
it
off
with
candy's
cars
and
community.
A
This
is
at
demouth
community
center.
It's
on
october,
23rd
from
12
to
3..
It's
going
to
be
a
lot
of
fun,
don't
be
scared,
it
looks
scary,
but
it's
not
it's
in
the
afternoon
and
daylight.
So
don't
be
too
scared.
I
don't
have
a
slide
for
some
of
these,
but
october
24th.
A
We
are
doing
our
floating
pumpkin
patch
at
the
swim
center
and
I'm
gonna
I'll
get
you
more
times
or
more
information.
Janice,
you
might
know
the
times
you
or
janet
you
might
want
to
jump
in
and
tell
me
the
times
on
the
swim
center.
I
don't
remember
also
on
october
27th,
this
isn't
a
parks
and
rec
item,
but
it's
the
library-
and
you
know
I
wear
the
two
hats.
A
So
I
have
to
promote
the
library,
the
library
we're
doing
a
drive
through
spooktacular
from
four
to
six
p.m,
and
parks
and
rec
is
going
to
participate,
mizell
senior
center,
the
palm
springs
power
baseball,
so
we're
gonna
do
a
drive
through
and
the
friends
of
the
library
are
going
to
give
away
free
books
and
we're
going
to
give
away
candy
and
fun
treats
too
october.
A
28Th
is
our
village
fest
halloween
celebration,
so
that's
always
a
lot
of
fun
and
craziness
at
villagefest
and
then
october
29th
james,
o
jesse
is
doing
their
their
halloween
event.
It's
a
it's
got
a
lot
of
different
things.
It's
a
drive-through,
it's
a
trunk
or
treat
it's
got
games,
candy,
music,
so
a
lot
of
fun
on
friday
night.
For
that
one
and
then
at
the
leisure
center
we
are
celebrating
dia
de
los
muertos
change
the
slide
there.
Dia
dia
de
los
muertos
day
of
the
dead
november
1st.
A
A
So,
let's
see
what
else
is
on
the
slide?
That's
coming
up!
That's
something
else,
and
then
I
want
to
tell
you
more
about
some
other
things
that
we
are
doing
at
james
jesse,
borrego
health
van
comes
every
wednesday
from
nine
to
four.
A
So
tell
people
about
that
on
thursdays,
the
second
and
fourth
thursday
at
five
o'clock,
james
and
jesse.
They
have
the
find
food
bank
food
giveaway
coming
soon
at
demouth,
they're,
going
to
do
a
helping
hands
homework
hub
monday
through
thursday,
from
four
to
six
that
one's
not
active
yet
but
it's
coming
and
then
the
village
fest
hours
are
changing
starting
thursday
october
7th.
A
The
street
closure
will
begin
at
5
00
pm
set
up
from
five
to
six
and
then
the
street.
The
village
fest
will
be
from
six
to
ten,
with
tear
down
from
10
to
11
and
street
reopening
at
11.,
and
then
we've
got
a
couple
of
parades
coming
up,
yay
parades
again
we're
doing
things
veterans
day
parade
michelle
wants
to
know.
If
any
of
the
commissioners
would
like
to
help
out.
A
We
have
a
banner
that
says:
honoring
all
who
served
and
michelle's
looking
for
some
people
to
carry
the
banner
in
the
parade,
and
if
you
want
to
attend
also
you
can
let
us
know,
and
we
can
make
sure
you
have
seating
and
then
the
festival
of
lights
parade.
We
don't
have
any
special
requests
yet,
but
I
know
the
neighborhoods
are
asking
for
balloon
handlers,
but
we
may
be
asking
you
for
help
for
that
one
too.
So
that
is
my
report.
A
C
Hey
jeannie,
I'm
still
checking
on
the
times
for
everything
so
I'll.
Let
you
know.
A
Okay,
we'll
we'll
keep
you
posted
for
sure,
because
we
want
to
spread
the
word
and
make
sure
everybody
knows
about
our
fun
events
and
we're
trying
to
be
safe.
You
know
safe,
coven,
friendly
and
covet
safe,
too
masks
will
be
required
and
you
may
not
be
able
to
get
out
of
your
car.
Well,
the
library
you're
not
getting
out
of
your
cars.
A
Okay,
do
you
want
to
do
the
stat?
Do
you
do
the
staff
updates
now
for
the
city,
employee.
E
Sure,
while
we
wait
for
stacey
just
a
reminder
on
september
24th
of
last
year,
city
council
approved
your
seven
priority
projects
from
this
commission.
We
still
have
three
to
go.
That's
the
pavilion
sound
system.
E
On
thursday
we
received
one
bid,
it's
gonna
be
that
bid
came
in
about
20
000
dollars
higher
than
our
budget,
so
we
would
have
to
go
back
to
ask
for
more
money
for
the
playground
surfacing
it's
currently
under
construction.
Our
contractor
has
started
demolition
at
desert
highland
park
and
then
the
third
project
is
the
ballfield
lighting
city
council
approved
just
the
design
portion
of
it.
E
They
just
finished
their
photometrics
and
found
out
that
the
spacing
of
the
poles
do
not
allow
for
adequate
lighting,
so
they
were
going
to
add
more
poles
and
then,
as
they
investigated
further.
The
existing
posts
at
dumuth
park
has
pretty
much
at
the
end
of
their
useful
life,
so
they're
going
to
recommend
that
those
poles
get
replaced.
The
good
thing
is
we
get
to
space
the
new
pose
correctly
and
provide
adequate
lighting
for
battlefield
play
at
dumuth
park
at
night.
E
The
other
park
projects
that
are
currently
going
on
sunrise
park,
restrooms
they're,
pretty
much
finished.
The
contractor
is
working
on
his
punch
list.
Items
keys
should
have
been
turned
over
to
staff,
we'll
find
out
from
stacy
when
those
restrooms
can
be
opened,
I'm
pretty
sure
any
day
now
dumus
park
and
desert
highland
park
restrooms.
E
E
E
I
don't
have
any
more
information
on
that
one,
but
just
being
out
there
you
know
there's
it
looks
pretty
finished
from
what
I
saw
there's
not
sure
when
the
grand
opening
is
going
to
be,
but
I've
heard
things
sometime
in
october,
but
those
dates
have
not
been
given
to
me,
but
I
will
find
out
from
the
project
manager.
So
that's
my
short
update
on
the
parks
and
if
you
have
any
questions,
I'm
here
to
answer.
C
I
I
have
one
don:
do
you
remember
we?
C
I
guess
it
was
part
of
a
package
with
the
dog
park,
the
large
dog
park,
but
the
resurfacing
of
that
parking
lot
by
between
field
seven
and
eight
by
the
dummy
community
center.
Do
you
know
if
that's
coming
down
the
pipe
and
when
that
would
be.
E
All
I
know
is
that
was
part
of
the
application
for
the
demo
dog
park.
Grant.
Okay,
I
don't
know
the
status
of
the
grant,
but
can
look
into
that
after
this
meeting,
but
okay
yeah
part
of
the
funds
for
the
grant
included
resurfacing
of
the
parking
lot
near
the
dune
with
korean
genetic
center.
A
A
So
tomorrow
morning,
at
8
00
a.m.
They're
going
to
dedicate
the
the
city
hall
dog
park
to
david
ready,
so
you're
all
invited
to
attend
tomorrow.
D
J
J
B
A
F
Before
stacy
gives
her
report,
I
just
want
to
say
something
about
what
commissioner
armstrong
said.
The
parks
and
rec
commission
had
a
subcommittee
on
naming
and
they
spent
about
a
year
working
to
present
a
document
that
was
a
recommendation
to
the
city,
that
there
be
a
process
and
a
standardization
for
all
namings
of
the
park.
Since
the
commission
has
been
approached
by
multiple
individuals
to
name
a
variety
of
different
things,
and
so
not
just
in
addition
that
the
commission,
as
an
advisory
group
or
volunteers,
are
ignored
it.
F
There
have
been
people
who
have
worked
very
very
hard
and
for
a
very
long
period
of
time,
and
so
not
just
a
lack
of
communication,
but
there
was
no
no
discussion
with
the
work
that
had
been
done
over
the
prior
years.
So
I
will
join
commissioner
armstrong
and
say
I'm
pretty
disappointed.
C
Yeah,
I
I
I'm
with
those
two
on
this
one.
You
know
I
love
david
too
I've
known
david
for
25
30
years,
but
we
did
put
a
lot
of
time
in
this
in
the
naming
process
and
for
for
them
just
to
go
ahead
and
do
that
and
we
didn't
even
know
about
it.
It's
kind
of
it's
almost
like
a
slap
in
the
face.
I
came
on
this
commission
to
get
things
done,
but
I
don't
think
that's
the
right
way
to
do
it
and
that's
all
I'm
going
to
say
about
that.
B
I
agree
with
a
lot
of
what
everybody's
saying,
but
in
best
interest
I
feel
that
we
need
to
grow
from
this
work
on
it
from
here
on
out.
We
can
work,
you
know,
hopefully
not
have
this
happen
again,
unless,
hopefully
we
can
keep
this
meeting.
Let's
move
this
meeting
forward.
Is
there
any
other
staff
updates.
L
Okay,
I
got
a
list.
I
took
notes
during
the
public
comment.
So
again,
just
to
reiterate
everybody
knows:
8
a.m.
Is
the
plaque
dedication
tomorrow
morning
it's
going
to
be
pretty
low-key,
we're
just
unveiling
the
plaque
and
moving
on
october
21st
in
the
downtown
park.
That
is
the
formal
unveiling
of
the
park
receiving
of
the
park.
There
will
be
a
dog
show,
there's
gonna,
be
a
water
feature,
public
restrooms,
there's
gonna
be
a
lot
to
that.
I
am
gonna,
hopefully
reach
out
to
whoever
the
subcommittee
is
for
that
park.
L
I'm
not
sure
who
that
is.
I
know
it's
changed
a
little
bit
over
the
last
few
years,
but
as
I'm
about
to
receive
the
park
as
the
maintenance
facilities
director,
I
would
like
to
go
hand
in
hand
with
the
parks,
commissioners
that
are
involved
so
we're
all
on
the
same
page
as
to
how
the
park
was
laid
out
and
how
it
was
approved
to
be
designed
and
how
we
move
forward
with
that.
L
So
if
somebody
could
confirm
for
me
who's
on
board
to
be
on
that
subcommittee
or
if
it's
going
to
be
new
folks,
I
would
really
appreciate
knowing
that,
at
this
point
we're
going
to
start
receiving
things.
Actually,
we
started
training
this
week
and
in
the
next
few
weeks,
we're
going
to
start
receiving
more,
and
I
really
want
to
make
sure
that
my
maintenance
team
is
on
board
and
hand
in
hand
with
the
parks
and
rec
commission
on
how
we
move
forward
with
programming
the
park
and
utilizing
the
park,
etc.
L
All
right
so
to
back
up
through
public
comment:
let's
go
back
to
the
dog
park
misters.
Those
are
mosquito
havens.
Those
are
no
bueno.
We've
we've
addressed
this
before
we
looked
at
it
before.
I
know
it's
hot
in
the
summer.
I
don't
have
a
solution
for
that,
but
I've
talked
to
coachella
valley,
mosquito
control.
More
than
once,
we
already
have
stagnant
areas
with
people
bringing
in
their
own
dog
bowls
their
own
dog
ponds,
or
you
know
the
the
kiddie
pools.
L
We
have
issues
with
mosquitoes,
it's
a
public
health
issue,
I'm
going
to
say
I
don't
see
that
as
a
viable
solution
for
us
same
thing
flies
gnats.
Unfortunately,
we
are
the
victims
of
our
own
success.
The
dog
park
is
wildly
successful
and
heavily
over
utilized,
and
with
that
comes
a
lot
of
urine,
a
lot
of
dog
feces
people
come
and
socialize.
As
we've
discussed,
have
lunch?
Have
food
have
ice
cream?
L
Just
so
we
all
understand.
Currently
I
want
you
all
to
understand
that
the
landscape
contract
is
the
landscaper
is
required
to
empty
the
trash
and
replenish
all
bags
before
10
a.m.
Every
morning,
365
to
my
knowledge
that
has
not
faulted
what
does
occur.
They
sometimes
come
in
very
early.
We
have,
we
do
not
lock
the
dog
park
overnight.
I
don't
think
everybody
understands
that
we
don't
lock
it
down.
L
L
L
The
city
manager
is
working
with
me
to
augment
that
we're
trying
to
hire.
We've
actually
made
a
few
offers,
and
right
now
we
don't
have
a
lot
of
people
really
interested
in
in
those
positions,
but
we're
going
through
another
round
of
hiring.
This
week
we
changed
four
years
ago
we
were
doing
maintenance
from
noon
to
three
twice
a
week.
We
heard
from
the
dog
park
folks
that
wasn't
enough,
so
we
bumped
it
up
to
three
times
a
week.
So
we
do
it
monday,
wednesday,
friday,
from
noon
to
3
p.m.
L
L
One
of
the
we
have
two
issues
with
this.
We
have
a
non-compliance
problem
with
some
of
the
the
users
of
the
park.
They
just
won't
leave
we've
had
landscapers
bitten,
we've
had
to
call
police,
we've
had
to
call
animal
control,
it's
pretty
unfortunate.
Secondarily
we
have
the
other
issue
of
it's
not
enough.
We
hear
oh
well,
we
want
it
every
day,
but
the
users
of
the
dog
park
are
adamant.
L
L
So
we
have
that
balancing
act
and
again
as
you
as
a
group
are
getting
this
information
soliciting
the
results,
I'm
eager
to
follow
whatever
direction
we
as
a
dog
park,
user
contingency
come
up
with,
and
I
know
it
changes
from
every
few
years.
You
know
we
reopened
the
dog
park
six
years
ago
with
a
brand
new
plan,
all
new
amenities,
all
new
everything-
and
here
we
are
a
few
years
later.
We
don't
like
the
trash
cans
that
everybody
voted
on.
We
don't
like
the
sidewalks,
we
don't
like
the
benches.
L
So
I
understand
this
is
an
evolution.
The
other
thing
that
I
want
to
point
out
is:
we
do
currently
ask
our
city
council
and
bless
them.
They
have
always
agreed
to
buy
the
absolute
best
hydro
seed
on
the
market.
L
We
simply
do
that
because
it
grows
fastest
in
six
weeks.
It
will
germinate.
It
is
robust.
It
is
resilient,
but
as
soon
as
we
open
I
can,
I
can
show
you
picture
after
picture
of
how
beautiful
those
look
the
day
before
we
open
them
and
then
two
days
later,
you
know
the
drainage
is
gone.
The
tracks
are
there.
That's
turned
into
a
mud
bath.
It
is,
unfortunately,
a
very
overutilized
property.
L
We
are
now
trying
to
convert
that
into
we.
We
working
on
this
grant
that
has
more
grass
and
honestly
than
I
even
want,
because
I
think
the
more
dg
like
rancho
mirage,
you
look
at
the
amount
of
space.
Well,
rancho
mirage
is
a
lot
bigger
than
we
are
first
and
foremost
size
wise
for
dog
park,
but
the
amount
of
turf
versus
dg
even
on
the
new
park
that
we're
recommending
right
now
is
much
higher.
L
I
don't
know
what
the
solution
is,
whether
it's
astroturf,
whether
it's
dg
red
clay,
I'm
open
to
that
I
I
would
love
to
hear
anyone's
ideas.
L
One
of
the
issues
we
are
having
that
I
would
really
like
your
help
on
is
we're
having
a
lot
of
folks
take
over
the
the
ball
fields
to
make
them
meet
their
own
private
dog
parks,
which
is
very
unfortunate,
they're,
getting
aggressive
with
our
staff
they're,
leaving
a
mess.
That's
one
of
the
other
issues.
You
know
I
heard
earlier
well
who's
picking
up
the
poop.
L
L
L
So,
the
other
one
cleaning
schedule
I've
already
gone
over
tree
planting.
We
are
on
schedule
for
tree
planting,
so
the
other
thing
I
want
to
remind
everybody
all
of
the
trees
in
that
area
were
all
planted
at
the
same
time
they
have
an
end
of
life
and
of
course,
we
have
some
nasty
wind
storms
that
hit
us
sometimes
unexpectedly,
and
they
push
those
poor
little
trees
around
we're
we're
the
desert,
we're
sand
and
clay.
We
don't
have
a
great
root
system,
so
when
those
things
get
knocked
down,
I'm
not
gonna
plant
them
in
august.
L
That
will
just
be
a
waste
of
time
and
money
for
everybody.
So
here
we
are
moving
up
to
october,
which
is
what
overseeding
that's
the
time
everything
germinates
everything
roots
everything
plants.
My
goal
is
to
replant
the
shade
trees
that
we
lost,
but
I'm
going
to
do
it
when
we
have
everything
closed
down
for
six
weeks,
so
we
can
protect
it
and
if
there's
anything
in
I
do,
I
do
personally
lead
towards
the
grant
the
drought,
tolerant
trees
and
that's
what
I
try
to
encourage
my
staff
to
use.
L
If
there's
something
really
unique
and
specific
that
you
as
a
commission
would
like
us
to
entertain
that
you
think
is
going
to
be
drought,
talent
and
appropriate
for
the
for
the
dog
park.
Please
let
me
know
what
that
is,
I'm
open
to
that,
but
I
am
coming
up
quickly
on
the
time
to
plant
it,
but
my
goal
every
year
is
always
anything
that
we
lose
we
plant
during
that
six
weeks,
where
we
can
protect
them
and
make
sure
they
have
the
best
success
for
success.
L
Drainage
issues,
we've
already
addressed
that
we've
spent
a
lot
of
money
to
install
a
lot
of
extra
drains.
We
have
dry
wells.
We
have
three
drywalls
now
in
the
dog
park
as
well
as
drains
ground
cover.
We've
talked
at
length
about
this
ellen,
I'm
looking
forward
to
seeing
what
you
come
up
with.
I
know
you
and
kenny
had
some
some
good
talks,
and
I
apologize
for
that
for
missing
that,
but
I
I
understand,
there's
some
really
good
movement
on
that.
L
Actually,
I
will
talk
to
them.
I
know
this
is
an
ongoing
issue:
airport
and
healthcare
center.
This
happens
in
a
bit
of
a
cycle,
so
I
will
reference
that
again
and
we'll
go
through
that
again
to
try
to
see
if
we
can
get
parking
enforcement
over
there
to
to
do
a
little
monitoring
and
put
out
some
warning
that
tends
to
help
dog
features
or
water
features
dog
wash
station.
We
do
actually
have
a
small
dog
wash
station
in
the
small
dog
park.
L
I
realize
it's
small.
We
can
do
something
again
in
the
large
dog
park.
I
would
again,
I
would
ask
for
this
group's
feedback
on
what
it
is.
We
do,
how?
How
are
we
going
to
modify
this?
How
we're
going
to
make
something?
That's
not
going
to
turn
into
a
mud
bath,
not
going
to
create
a
big
drainage
problem,
or
you
know,
a
sanitation
issue,
so
I'm
open
to
any
suggestion
on
that.
I
know.
L
That's
been
something
that's
come
up
a
few
times
and
I
think
it's
probably
time
we
look
at
that,
especially
right
now,
when
we're
about
to
shut
down,
so
we
can
make
you
know
any
type
of
maintenance
or
repairs
or
installations
would
be
great
to
know
ruth
hardy
park,
tennis
courts,
those
lights.
I
I
do
want
to
point
out.
That's
come
up
a
few
times.
L
There
are
four
lights
out
of
52
four
light
bulbs
out
of
52
that
are
out,
I
think,
and
I'm
not
really
sure
how
to
address
this,
but
for
those
people
who
go
there
on
a
regular
basis.
You
know,
there's
a
sign
that
kind
of
tells
you
push
this
button,
hold
it
turn
on
the
lights.
I
think
not.
Everybody
takes
the
time
to
read
everything
and
and
understands
that
we
actually
do
have
a
nightlight
more
or
less.
L
If
city
council
wants
to
change
the
time
frames
of
the
parks,
that's
a
whole
separate
issue,
and
we
can
absolutely
look
at
that,
but
I
want
to
be
clear
that
we're
open
from
sunset
to
you
know
10
o'clock
and
that's
in
particular
just
for
the
areas
that
have
tennis
and
baseball
all
other
parks
close
at
some
down.
L
So
that
may
be
something
that
we
can
address
with
further
education.
Maybe
we
can
work
with
an
ad
hoc
committee
on
education
on
those
dogs
at
ball
fields.
I
talked
about
that.
Okay,
those
are
my
big
ones.
What
do
you
have
for
me.
K
F
Actually
comment
just
really
quickly.
Thank
you
very
much
and
we
we
did
miss
you
at
the
meeting.
We
did
tim
and
I
met
with
kenny,
who
is
responsible
for
managing
the
contract
with
the
conserve.
F
Was
it
land
conserved
to
conserve
land,
and
we
actually
saw
some
areas
that
it
wasn't
necessarily
the
city,
but
it
was
the
contractor
and
and
so
kenny
we
talked
about
it
and
you
know
it
doesn't
take
much
within
within
about
24
hours
and
we've
got
photographs.
They
responded
to
kenny
pretty
quickly.
They
were
in
the
dog
park
the
next
day.
You
know
emptying
the
trash
cans
and
and
doing
things.
F
So
I
think
once
people
are
made
aware,
then
you
know
things
were
take
were
were
addressed
and
I
do
think
and
stacy.
F
Maybe
you
can
meet
with
tim
and
I,
and
maybe
even
while
jeff
is
there,
because
it's
really
it's
really
coming
up
with
some
collective
thinking
about
how
to
create
a
more
sustainable
ground,
and
some
of
that
is
going
to
be
really
looking
at
the
demuth
park
so
that
patrons
can
go
to
dumuth,
not
just
when
the
city
hall
park
is
closed,
but
on
a
more
regular
basis,
and
so
it
was
very
clever
four
years
ago
when
we,
when
you
know
you
came
up
with
that
idea,
and
we
did
that,
and
I
think
now
it
just
needs
a
little
more
something,
and
so
we'll
be
presenting
the
request
that
we
maybe
work
with
you
and
with
dawn.
B
Awesome
anybody
have
any
other
comments
for
stacey
or
any
staff.
C
You
know
yeah,
I
do
it's,
we
it's
on
the
this
for
a
discussion
number
three,
but
since
stacy's
here
I
could
get
it
out
of
the
way
is
that
okay,
jerry
take
one
of
those
off
the
list,
I'm
okay
with
it
yeah.
C
So
I
just
wanted
to
bring
up
stacy
when
we
do
the
reseating
of
ball
field,
five,
six,
seven
and
eight
that
that
we,
the
gopher
holes
out
there,
are
just
crazy
on
all
four
of
those
fields
and
then
probably
putting
signs
up
there
saying
that
no
dogs
out
there
and-
and
I
I've
got
two
dogs
man.
C
I
love
dogs,
but
there's
a
place
for
the
dogs
and
a
lot
of
people
are
using
these
parts
in
the
outfield
and
some
on
the
infield,
mostly
the
outfield
and
and
they're
getting
crazy
and
and
they're
getting
very
upset.
I
I
have
first-hand
knowledge
of
this,
so
I
think
fixing
them
gopher
holes
as
we
do.
The
reseed
put
some
signs
up
saying:
please:
no
dogs
on
the
outfield
or
or
inside
on
the
ballpark
everywhere
else.
That's
fine!
That's
great!
Walk!
Your
dogs.
A
C
There
fine
pick
up
your
poop
cool,
but
to
have
them
go
on
the
field
and
dig
holes
in
the
outfield
on
top
of
the
gophers,
it's
been
brought
to
my
attention
quite
a
bit
of
times
and
I'm
an
avid
softball
player,
and
so
now
would
be
a
good
time
to
discuss
this.
So
thanks.
L
Thank
you
johnny,
so
the
two
two
pieces
I
want
to
mention
you
actually
go
hand
in
hand,
rodents,
gophers,
ground,
squirrels,
etc.
Eliminating
them,
there's
really
only
a
couple
of
options
and
the
most
prevalent
and
the
most
effective
is
also
harmful
to
our
pets.
L
So
I
want
to
be
clear
that
we
as
a
city
take
that
very
seriously
and
we're
very
conscientious
and
we're
very
careful
in
what
we
allow
our
contractors
to
do
to
mitigate
this
type
of
situation.
We
have
it
in
demuth
and
we
have
it
also
very
badly
up
at
joj
desert
highland
has
a
worse
problem.
L
We're
aware
we
work
on
it,
constantly
we're
open
to
all
new
technologies.
We
try
the
uvs,
we
try
the
audio.
We
try
all
of
those
things
and
we're
open
to
any
new
technology,
so
long
as
it's
safe
for
all
of
our
patrons
and
all
of
our
visitors,
two-legged
and
four-legged.
That
being
said,
it's
gonna
be
a
constant,
ongoing
thing,
there's
acres
and
acres,
even
with
the
the
staff
being
out
there
on
a
regular
basis,
conserve
or
mine,
or
anybody
else
we're
not
going
to
catch
it
all
warning
signs.
L
I've
already
kind
of
we've
looked
at
a
few
different
options
for
that
kind
of,
like
the
foul
ball
warning
area.
So
I'm
looking
at
something
along
those
lines:
the
dog
dogs
in
the
outfield
or
dogs
in
the
ball
fields,
I'm
actually
looking
pd,
is
working
with
me
on
that
right
now,
we're
trying
to
come
up
with
a
municipal
code
that
we
can
cite
so
that
if
we
have
repeated
issues
as
you've
encountered,
where
we
get
some
pretty
aggressive
responses,
the
police
department
have
some
something
that
they
can
do.
Some
way
to
respond
to
that.
F
So
wouldn't
it
wouldn't,
it
actually
be
helpful
if
we
could
add
some
ground
coverage
to
the
demuth
large
dog
park.
I
mean,
I
don't
know
the
status
of
the
grant.
I
know
the
city
council
has
authorized
the
match
to
that.
It
is
now
three
years
we're
in
year
three
granted
covet
as
an
issue,
but
there's
a
a
problem
with
the
grant,
and
I
haven't
had
a
chance
to
speak
with
the
grant
writer
to
find
out
what
that
is.
F
But
I
really
think
in
this
measure
j
conversation
and
in
in
the
city
council,
strategic
planning
that
we
really
should
lobby
for
some
ground
coverage
so
that
the
individuals
will
move
off
of
those
softball
fields.
They
actually
don't
want
to
be
in
the
softball
field.
They
just
don't
want
to
be
in
dirt
and
dirt.
That
really
is
rocky,
has
fox
tails
and
stacy.
L
The
one
of
the
things
that
really
surprised
me
was
the
amount
of
turf
that
was
added
at
the
end,
having
the
small
and
dark
pop
smushed
together,
when
we
deliberately
separated
them
out,
so
that
there
would
be
a
lot
more
acreage
in
the
original
plan
that
I
came
up
with
and
then
it
all
of
a
sudden
it
shrunk
down
to
even
smaller
than
what
our
existing
dog
park
is.
So
that
being
said
as
time's
gone
on,
I
really
wonder
if
that's
before
we
go
too
far
with
this
grant.
F
Right
and
I
wonder
if
we
are
looking
at
two
different
designs-
and
I
know
there's
some
some
people
in
the
public
who
were
in
that
meeting
and
they
might
even
be
on
this
call-
there
was
very
little
turf.
It
was
really
more
decorative
on
the
outer
perimeters
and-
and
I
have
some
photos
that
I
can
share-
that
it
really
was
more
of
a.
It-
was.
L
Any
good
it
could
be
because
I
looked
at
three
different
designs
and
trying
to
came
up
with
maintenance
plans
for
three
different
things
over
and
over
and-
and
I
know
the
same
thing-
the
parking
lot,
no,
we're
not
moving
forward
on
any
parking
lot
repairs.
That's
part
of
that
project.
I
wanted
to
clarify
that.
So
I
know
somebody
asked
that
earlier.
So
as
it
stands
now,
no,
I
have
no
no
recommendations
to
to
do
anything
with
that
parking
area.
What
that
was
included
in
the
existing
project
and-
and
I've
worked
on
that
was
substantial.
F
I
mean
I
realized
that
you
have
to
price
things
out
and
get
quotes
and
I
understand
you
know
government
process,
but
I
think
that
there
can
be
a
very
quick
solution
and
a
quick
turnaround
just
to
get
that
coverage
so
that
we
can
get
people
off
the
ball
field
as
that
season
picks
up
and
it
gets
more
crowded
and
we
can
continue
to
move
the
grant
process
forward
with
design.
So
I
I
don't
know
exactly
when
it's
appropriate
to
to
bring
that
issue
to
the
table.
Hopefully.
L
You
know
where
that's
at,
but
I
I
would
actually
be
willing
to
work
with
jeannie
and
reach
out
to
the
grand
writer
and
find
out
where
we
are
because
I
had
the
same
question
posed,
and
I
don't
have
an
answer.
One
thing
that
I
would
like
to
make
sure
that
you,
as
the
commissioner
are
aware
of,
I
have
been
in
contact
with
the
cd-link
through
cvag.
L
They
are
ready
to
begin
moving
forward
with
the
expansion
of
the
cb
link.
That
is
adjoining
our
the
parking
lot
there,
so
they're
requesting
relocation
of
utilities,
irrigation,
etc.
So
that's
going
to
be
a
pretty
major
endeavor
right
at
the
same
area
in
the
next
few
months,
and
when
I
get
some
confirmation
on
what
is
actually
going
to
happen
in
a
timeline
I'll
forward
it
on.
B
L
F
F
B
This
one
should
be
fairly
simple,
but
it's
the
skate
park
skate
park
maintenance.
I
know
you've
had
your
talks
and
you've
talked
with
their
side.
I
appreciate
that
I've
gotten
calls
too
from
they
reach
out
to
everybody.
You
know
how
it
is
and
on
my
aspect,
the
only
reason
I'm
I'm
putting
any
stance
on
it
is.
My
daughter
goes
there
and
I
tripped
a
couple
days.
You
know
a
couple
months
ago
because
I
want
to
light
her
out.
B
L
We
actually
did
we
so-
and
I
think
you
guys
heard
this
and
I
I
I
cringe
to
say
it
because
I
don't
want
to
sound
like
an
excuse,
because
it
is
a
serious
issue.
We
have
a
material
shortage
in
particular
electronics.
It's
really
we're
really
struggling
with
that.
So
we
did
have
a
shortage
of
the
materials
to
get
because
what
we
basically
have
to
do.
L
We
have
to
rent
specialized
lifts
that
work
in
the
tennis
courts
and
in
the
skate
park,
because
it
has
to
be
you
know:
20
27,
foot
articulating
that
can
actually
go
up
and
then
across
it's
it's
a
and
we
have
to
have
enough
staff
to
lay
board
so
that
we
don't
destroy
all
the
turf
and
irrigation,
as
we
lay
the
whole
thing
through
and
then
move
towards
it.
It's
it's
an
endeavor,
and
I
think
I
mentioned
earlier
that
we
literally
only
have
two
people
right
now
and
they
only
overlap.
L
One
day
a
week
we
have
a
couple
of
folks
out
on
medical,
we're
hiring
some
others,
that's
not
an
excuse.
I
will
throw
all
the
staff
I
can.
What
we've
come
up
with
is
we
believe
within
the
last
week
we
have
everything
I
have
somebody
double
checking
on
that
on
not
tomorrow
but
wednesday
to
make
sure
that
we
have
everything.
L
Ball
fields,
everything
all
at
once
for
it's
going
to
take
a
few
days,
we're
a
little
thin
and,
to
be
honest,
we
have
you
know,
I'm
sure,
you're,
all
aware
we
we,
like
everyone
else,
has
had
a
little
bit
of
covid
quarantine
situations
here
and
there,
which
really
brings
staffing
down
to
a
little
bit
thinner
of
a
margin
than
we
would
hope
for.
But
that
is
a
priority.
We're
well
aware
of
it
and
yeah.
As
soon
as
we
got
the
materials
we
were
all
excited.
B
Well,
I'm
not
going
to
hold
you
in
anything.
I
fully
understand
how
it
is.
I
trust
me
I
understand,
and
I
just
appreciate
you
being
aware
of
it.
That's
all
I'm
going
to
say
and
thank
you
for
everything
you're
doing
for
the
city,
because
you
really
are
got
a
lot
of
greatness
taken
care
of.
Thank
you
and
I.
L
Want
to
encourage
all
of
you,
don't
hesitate,
the
the
palm
springs
app,
the
city
app
that's
night
and
day
for
us.
We
as
much
as
we
want
to
go
out
and
see
everything
and
inspect
everything
we
don't
have
time
our
eyes
and
ears.
Are
the
citizens,
though
the
folks
out
and
about
and
anything
that
comes
through
that
act,
we're
all
going
to
see
it
and
that's
the
fastest
way.
We
know
to
respond.
A
A
L
M
Yeah
thanks
not
sure
if
this
was
for
stacy
or
one
of
the
other
staff
just
wanted
to
get
a
time
frame
on
the
completion
of
the
replacement
of
the
playground
cushions
up
here
at
desert,
island
james,
o,
jesse.
E
The
schedule
I
saw
has
the
project
the
overall
project,
which
includes
the
du
mouth
park
finishing
in
december.
So
when
they,
I
don't
remember
what
the
cutoff
was
when
they
finish
at
desert,
highland
and
move
to
dumuth,
but
the
entire
project
I
know,
finishes
in
december.
E
L
If
I
can
interject
there,
indeed,
what
we
were
trying
to
do
was
the
project
manager
with
dawn's
team
was
trying
to
match
our
overseeding
schedule
so
again
where
we,
we
were
already
kind
of
shut
down
in
those
areas,
especially
in
the
back,
so
the
overseeding,
which
would
open
up,
I
believe,
right
before
christmas,
maybe
mid
december.
That's
what
they're
we're
trying
to
work
it
out,
because
they're
they're
gonna
have
to
use
the
the
water
and
the
amenities
up
there
at
joj.
So
the
goal
was
they're
already
shut
down.
B
E
Awesome,
thank
you
and
dear.
I
can
find
out
when
I
find
out
more
information
I'll
give
it
to
jeannie
and
staff
to
that
they
can
forward
on
to.
A
I
do
have
a
schedule
and
but
like
stacy
was
saying,
then
I
think
it
goes
into
overseeding
right
because
it's
like
end
of
october,
but
then
you
might
be
able
to
get
on
it.
B
B
L
You
and
actually,
while
we're
on
that,
I
one
point
that
I
should
have
made,
and
I
meant
to
put
this
on
my
agenda.
I
did
want
to
point
out
that
during
the
overseeding
for
the
dog
park
for
this
year,
we
will
be
tagging
into
another
one
of
dawn's
projects
with
engineering,
so
we're
actually
going
to
have
the
trenching
occur
in
the
dog
park
or
right
around
the
same
time
that
we're
over
seating
for
the
new
electrical
charging
stations
that
we're
going
to
be
adding
to
the
city
hall.
L
J
All
right,
this
is
travis
armstrong,
hello.
Yes,
sir
commissioner
armstrong,
I
just
want
to
mention
this
issue,
amazing,
and
it's
because
there's
a
lot
of
new
commissioners.
J
This
is
my
sixth
year,
I
think
in
ninth
year
on
a
city
commission,
you
know,
if
you
think,
back
to
11
12
years
ago,
some
of
the
issues
we're
having
in
the
parks-
and
this
is
nothing
just
like
the
current
director
of
facilities,
but
a
lot
of
these
maintenance
issues
started
when
mr
reddy
during
a
downturn,
wanted
to
streamline
city
government
they
caught
at
the
time
and
took
part
maintenance
from
under
the
park's
director.
I
think
it
was
sharon
at
the
time
and
then
vicki
and
then
cynthia
which
we
haven't
even
really
mentioned.
J
J
You
know:
we've
seen
the
last
10
years
this
cycle
at
the
dog
park
as
well.
B
Thank
you.
That's
why
I
got
involved.
I've
lived
here
for
over
30
years,
seeing
all
the
issues
and
trying
to
make
a
difference,
but
I
apprec.
We
all
appreciate
the
the
information
and
the
knowledge
of
that
I
mean
this
is
what
working
in
government's
all
about
and
we're
just
trying
to
give
our
opinions.
B
So
we
got
the
discussion
action
items
updates
for
pride
project
updates
any
verbal
reports
for
any
projects
we
got
going
on
right
now.
B
Nothing
that
I'm
nothing
that
I'm
aware
of
we're
working
on
the
dog
park.
We
got
the
we
got.
The
awesome
survey
out
we're
working
on
the
updates
for
that
what
the
city
would
like.
B
A
skatepark
we've
talked
about
the
maintenance.
We
talked
about
the
ballpark
maintenance.
B
Now
we
have
a
discussion
on
the
input
for
the
relocation
of
the
spider
art
from
in
front
of
the
swim
center.
We
want
to
relocate
that
and
place
a
new
piece
of
art
in
front
of
the
swim
center.
I
don't
know
if
everybody
has
received
that
email
that
was
sent
out
regarding
the
new
piece
of
art
they
want
to
put
there.
A
So
the
picture
on
the
left
is
the
spider
bike
rack
and
then
the
art
piece
on
the
right
is
called
tot,
like
taught
like
tater
tot,
like
like
a
child
like
a
tot,
so
the
arts
commission
has
putting
the
tot
sculpture
in
the
place
of
the
spider
bike,
rack
and
so
they're
asking
for
your
opinion
on
where
you
would
like
the
spider
to
go,
and
then
stacy
was
extremely
helpful
in
jumping
in
right
away
and
she's
got
some
bike
racks
to
replace
this,
because
when
I
looked
at
it
I
didn't
even
realize
it
was
a
bike
rack.
A
I
just
thought
it
was
art,
but
they
said.
Oh,
it's
a
bike
rack.
We
get
so
many
people
that
park
their
bikes
there,
so
we
need
bike
racks,
so
stacy's
already
says
she
can
commit
to
bringing
in
some
some
bike
racks
that
she's
got
over
in
the
yard.
B
F
No,
it's
suddenly
surprising,
so
the
public
came
to
the
parks
and
rex
commission
and
wanted
some
public.
F
D
And
all
all
I
was
going
to
say
ellen
to
echo
that
was
once
again
they're
going
to
install
something.
If
it's
in
a
park,
it
should
have
come
to
us
for
approval.
But
clearly
we
don't
follow
protocol.
J
This
is
travis
armstrong.
You
know
I
want
to
mention
that
particular
piece
of
art
was
part
of
a
larger
initiative
to
create
art
that
children
would
use.
You
know
that
would
engage
children.
You
know
they
would
park
their
bikes
there.
In
addition
to
that,
it
was
part
of
a
larger
placing
those
type
of
things
across
the
city,
and
there
was
a
really
deliberate
discussion,
also
involving
the
sustainability
commission.
That
was
involved
in
that
at
that
time
why
that
piece
of
art
is
put
particularly
there
I
mean
to
commissioner
goodman
diaz
point.
J
I
mean
you
know
the
art
commission,
they
come.
They
give
a
good
lip
service,
you
know
to
what
they're
going
to
say
and
then
they
don't
really
and
they
get
their
defenders
on
the
commission.
Some
of
them
are
gone
and
they
keep
doing
it
and
doing
it
and
doing
it
so
yeah
at
some
point.
Why
didn't
even
come
to
us?
Because
they
don't
really
care
about
what
we
say
they
they
come
to
us.
It's
already
a
done
deal
practically.
You
know-
or
it's
so
far
along
that
nobody
wants
to
kind
of
stop
it.
M
Yeah
this
is
dieter.
I
just
want
to
echo
those
same
comments.
I
know
we
talked
about
it
with
the
dog
park
earlier,
but
it's
it's
just
ridiculous.
Every
time
you
know
they
just
maneuver
around
the
commission,
it's
like
why.
Why
are
we
even
here
if
they're
gonna
do
what
they
want
to
do?
You
know
with
whatever
projects
they
want
to.
B
And
I
would
like
to
add
something
to
this:
I've
only.
C
Been
a
commissioner
for
what
five
or
six
months-
and
I
think
this
same
issue
has
come
up
like
four
times
so
in
five
or
six
months,
four
different
times
the
same
thing-
and
I
mean
I
know
jody-
is
on
the
art
in
the
park
ad
hoc
committee
with
me.
I
didn't
hear
about
this
art
project.
Did
you
no
so
like?
F
Oh,
he,
I
don't
think
he
used
the
dog
park,
but
I
want
to
you
know
it's
kind
of
interesting,
so
we
live
in
the
community
and
I've
experienced
this
in
the
dog
park.
We
live
in
the
community
and
and
we
are
held
accountable
to
our
community
members
and
in
that
so
not
only
is
there
frustration
with
the
city,
you
know
we're
starting
to
hear
it
at
the
dog
park
like
we're
doing
these
surveys
and
we're
really
we
care
what
people
say.
F
We
want
to
bring
solutions,
we
want
to
brainstorm
and
the
rhetoric
and
the
the
constant
you
know
continuation
of
of
issues.
It
just
makes
you
know
my
time
as
a
resident
really
unpleasant,
because
I'm
I'm
the
bad
guy.
Nobody
else
sees
the
city
and
what's
going
on
in
the
city,
so
it
it.
I
think
it's
not
just
frustration
with
the
city,
but
I
think
it
really.
B
D
I
make
a
motion
that
we
vote
down
the
change
of
the
approval
we
vote
down,
the
we
don't.
How
do
I
don't
know
how
to
motion
this?
I
I
make
emotion
that
the
parks
and
recs
commission
does
not
support
the
changing
of
art
or
do
not
make
a
change
in
the
art
in
front
of
the
swim
center
until
we
had
a
chance
to
voice
our
opinion
on
what
art
gets
put
in
there.
J
B
A
B
B
F
D
B
D
I
don't
suppose
council
member
coors
is
still
on
here.
C
B
Yeah
and
personally
I
think
it's
scary-
I
mean
I
have
kids,
my
kids
saw
it
and
they
were
like
ooh.
I
mean
my
kids
were
scared
of
it
and
you're
gonna
put
that
in
front
of
a
public
place
where
kids
and
children
are
supposed
to
go
in,
like
that's
gonna
scare
them
like
who's
gonna
want
that.
I
know
we're
a
unique
you
know,
city
here
with
you
know,
diverse
amount
of
people.
I
fully
understand
that,
but
come
on
now.
This
is
let's
not
scare
people
going
into
place.
F
C
Yes,
I
just
want
to
say
I
understand
everyone's
frustration
that
they're
expressing
with
regard
to
this
issue.
I
think
it
would
be
a
smart
idea,
they
would
behoove
everyone,
and
this
is
just
a
suggestion-
that
in
going
forward,
perhaps
something
should
be
put
in
writing
to
the
council.
So
there's
a
fostering
of
awareness
of
the
frustration
as
far
as
procedural
issues,
and
that
seems
to
be
a
bit
of
a
communication
problem
in
moving
forward
with
projects.
B
So
at
this
current
time
my
recommend
we
had
a
trying
to
choose
my
words
correctly
here.
B
We
had
recommendations
on,
we
need
to
hold
off
on
the
art
moving
until
we
talk
to
the
art
in
the
park
or
the
commission
to
find
out
what's
going
on
where
the
other
piece
is
going,
we
do
have
bike
racks
going
in
that
stacy
has
which
will
replace
the
bike
racks.
But
this
is
the
actual
art
itself
and
we
can
like
say
we
can
join
the
city
council,
strategic
planning,
19th
and
20th
and
at
least
express
our
concerns.
B
B
J
Actually
have
a
motion
that's
been
made
and
seconded,
so
you
have
a
motion
on
the
floor,
so
you
can't
move
on
until
you
address
that
motion.
I
would
maybe
suggest
yusha
diaz
maybe
amended
that
our
recommendation.
This
goes
to
our
subcommittee
to
make
a
recommendation
or
we
could
pull
the
motion
or
we
can
vote
on
it.
B
D
And
as
the
person
who
made
the
motion,
I
feel
like
it's
it
I
feel
like
it
should
come
from
our
collective
group.
We
have
a
little
more
weight
behind
it
than
just
the
ad
hoc.
That's
my
my
my
suggestion
and
jeannie.
Can
we
call
for
the
motion
just
to
repeat
it?
Yeah.
A
Yeah
sure
I
also
wanted
to
say
maybe
or
suggest
after
after
you
take
this
vote,
that
you
could
give
a
recommendation
on
where
to
put
the
spider,
because
I
don't
know
that
you're
gonna
have
a
choice,
but
you
could
give
input
on
that
piece
if
they,
if
they're
going
to
do
it,
no
matter
what,
then
they
are
they're
asking
for
your
advice
on
where
to
put
the
spider,
but
it
doesn't
necessarily
mean
that
they'll
take
your
advice
either.
B
The
emotion
we
have
some
broken
bike
racks
on
the
other
side
of
the
administration
building
at
the
pavilion
park
that,
if
they're
going
to
take
out
that
spider,
they
can
replace
the
broken
dangerous
bike
rack.
We
have
right
by
the
entrance
and
at
least
place
it.
There.
A
What
a
circus
performance.
B
A
Used
to
have
those
at
the
library
too,
but
stacy
took
out
some
well
who
knows
how
long,
if
they're
even
there,
but
some
some
u-shaped
or
you
know
pipe
swirly
pipe,
I'm
not
sure
what
she's
gonna
put
in
but
okay.
So
your
emotion
was
that
the
parks
and
rec
commission
does
not
support
changes
of
the
art
at
the
swim
center
until
the
commission
weighs
in.
D
A
B
F
F
Since
I
really
don't
know
the
patterns,
I
don't
know
where
the
use
is.
I
don't
know
if
bike
racks
already
exist
there.
You
know,
I
don't
have
a
diagram
and
I
haven't
walked
the
location,
so
I
don't
feel
really
equipped
tonight
to
make
a
wreck
for
me
personally
to
make
a
recommendation
on
where
that
spider
might
go.
C
C
B
That's
why
I
said
that,
if
anything
I
know
at
the
pavilion,
because
we
have
kids
and
staff
during
the
summer
big
time
and
ride
their
bikes
there,
and
it
was
just
appalling
when,
like
I
said,
I
saw
the
bike,
racks
broken
shards
sticking
off
and
I
was
like.
Oh
my
god,
I
was
hoping
to
get
those
replaced
before
cynthia
moved
on,
but
that
was
a
transition
thing
that
happened.
F
B
That
that
would
be
my
recommendation
is
to
move
the
spider
on
the
right
hand,
side
in
front
of
the
pavilion
in
front
of
the
summer
camp
in
one
of
those
two
locations.
There's
two
different
bike
racks
there
there's
one
right
by
the
the
main
sidewalk
and
one
just
a
little
bit
farther
back
either
one
would
be
a
great
location.
It
would
still
be
a
great
visual
piece
for
the
city
to
see
and
it
would
be,
it
would
be
used.
F
A
J
This
is
commissioner,
armstrong.
I
mean
I
don't
necessarily
have
any
problem
with
that
motion,
but
by
by
doing
that.
A
J
We're
basically
stamping
approval
on
removing
that
art
from
where
it's
at,
where
there's
a
very
deliberate
process,
to
put
that
art
there
for
the
children
to
use
as
part
of
a
scheme
across
the
city
to
do
that
which
a
prior
art
commission,
I
believe,
also
was
on
board
with
I'm
a
little
surprised
at
the
statement
that
they
just
get
to
do
it
anyway.
Our
commission,
just
like
the
park
and
recreation
commission,
is
an
advisory
body.
J
I
don't
know
if
they
actually
have
jurisdiction
just
to
order
a
piece
of
art
being
placed
somewhere,
there's
costs
involved
and
whether
the
city
council
has
approved
this.
It
would
be
sort
of
a
kin
for
us
to
like
just
decide
to
start
putting
art
where
we
want
it
to
without
talking
to
them.
So
I
just
want
to
be
on
record
the
idea
that
somehow
they
just
have
this
power
and
authority
to
do
it
is
a
little
alarming,
but
obviously
in
the
city,
internal
workings.
J
People
think
they
do,
because
we
already
have
the
facilities
manager
talking
about
according
to
our
interim
director,
that
this
is
going
to
happen
already.
So
there
seems
to
be
some
jurisdictional
issues
that
kind
of
are
alarming
at
one
hand,
but
I
would
hate
for
anyone
to
have.
This
vote
be
taken
that
we
actually
approve
of
removing
this
very
usable
and
well-liked
piece
of
art
that
was
put
there
through
a
railroadership
process.
B
So
at
this
point
I
mean
I
don't
know
what
the
answer
is
on
that
I
I
truthfully.
Don't
only
think
I
can
do
is
we
can
reach
out
to
the
arts
commission
or
find
out.
I
mean
it's
it.
According
to
my
documentation,
it
sounds
like
it's
they've
got
it
approved
already
to
be
placed
there.
They
just
want
our
opinion
on
where
we
want
to
place
the
spider,
and
yes,
it's
not
okay
for
them
to
have
clout
or
just
be
able
to
do
what
they
want
to
do.
B
You
know,
especially
in
our
parks,
where
we
have
a
commission
that
come
together
to
vote
on
everything.
For
this
reason
I
would
just
like
the
I
guess,
the
respect
from
them
to
ask
our
opinion
on
what
we
want
and
what
we'd
like
in
our
parks.
B
That's
once
again
something
week
coming
up
november
19th
20th
at
this
you
know
strategic,
the
city
council
meeting.
You
know
we
can
bring
it
up.
As
a
group
say
hey,
this
is
what's
going
on
we're,
not
a
fan
of
it,
and
can
we
make
this
work
better?
Can
we
communicate
better
we're
all
here
trying
to
do
the
same
thing
make
the
city
better
for
all
of
us.
Let's
work
together
better
too:
let's
communicate
better.
B
F
Think
it's,
I
think,
there's
two
separate
things
here:
one
is
the
the
artwork
and
then
the
spider,
and
so
I
I
would
recommend
at
least
I
I'd
like
to
move
through
this
process
and
go
with
a
vote
for
the
spiders
location,
and
then
I
think
we
should
deal
with
the
art
issue
at
that
november
19th
and
if
we
can
get
the
time
the
date
whether
we
have
a
date
time
and
location.
So
we
know
how
to
mobilize
and
to
get
ourselves
there.
F
J
Just
to
remind
everybody
I
mean
you
can
go
to
the
november
meeting,
but
this
isn't
new.
I
think
councilman
course
I
guess
is
not
on
on
pledge.
Last
time
I
think
was
just
at
our
retreat
when
we
raised
these
concerns
to
him,
but
he
was
well
aware
of
it
and
he
hasn't
really
done
anything
about
it.
Now
we're
going
to
go
to
another
meeting
and
try
to
be
heard-
and
we
have
talked
time
and
time
again
to
the
council
members
about
these
issues.
B
Thank
you,
but
once
again
we're
in
government
and
we
just
got
to
keep
the
loudest
voice
gets
heard.
You
know
we
got
to
keep
keep
at
it
and
not
be
discouraged.
You
know.
Hopefully
we
can
go
to
this
meeting
and
get
the
whole
council.
Not
just
one
person
get
the
whole
council
in
front
of
us
and
say
here's
what's
going
on
here's
what
we
feel
so
at
this
time.
Let's
take
let's
either
move
on
with
a
vote,
so
we
keep
this
meeting
moving
forward.
B
A
We're
on
virtual
commissioner
alcorn.
J
M
Yeah,
I
just
want
to
say
that
last
friday,
on
the
24th,
we
did
our
bike
come
right
with
us
bike
club
day
and
we
had
a
program
where
we
tuned
the
youth
bikes
up
and
jerry
came
out
and
really
helped
with
that.
We
were
able
to
tune
up
about
20,
to
25
new
bikes
and
put
new
tubes
and
tires
and
do
brake
adjustments.
M
So
I
just
want
to
comment
on
that
and
say
thank
you
to
jerry
for
really
coming
out
and
supporting.
A
Not
sure,
okay,
I
thought
we.
A
Oh
no,
commissioner,
diaz.
B
So
item
six
is
review
and
discuss
commission
final
list
for
measure
j
commission
review
motion
to
adopt
a
list
of
dis
discussed
projects
to
propose
to
measure
j
for
review
in
october.
F
Is
that
the
last
yeah-
and
you
know
everyone-
I
I
think,
because
david
and
alan
were
on
the
measure,
j
commission
so
just
really
quickly.
Historically,
when
we
were
in
our
off
site,
we
came
up
with
a
list
of
priorities
of
importance
and
that's
the
list
we're
looking
at
right
now
and-
and
I
think
there
was
really
strong
agreement
for
this
list
and
then
the
items
below
number
13.
So
if
you
scroll
genie
a
bit,
what
we
did
was
measure
jay
said
come
to
us
with
a
what
they
call
the
short
list.
F
I
think
johnny,
you
were
a
part
of
those
discussions,
come
to
us
with
a
short
list,
something
that
we
can
get
done
pretty
quickly
and
these
items
were
on
that
short
list
and
it
came
out
to
be
about
1.2
million
or
something
very
close
to
that,
and
so
just
for
reference.
That
was
the
prior
year's
funding.
F
What
they're
looking
for
for
this
year
is
for
the
parks
and
recs
commission
to
make
a
suggestion
that
measure
j
will
then
take
to
the
city
council
to
you
know
for
their
recommendation
and
it
will
go
into
the
2223
budget
year.
That's
my
understanding,
and
then
that
is
below
number
four,
which
was
a
priority
list
that
that
had
come
out
of
the
that
group
meeting,
that
we
had
the
retreat
or
the
off-site
we
had
on
zoom,
and
these
were
some
of
the
topics
some
of
them
are
are
not
cost
related.
F
F
We
do
know
the
pickleball
courts,
which
was
a
top
priority,
is
on
hold
unless
another
space
is
found
because
the
library
will
be
expanding
between
the
library
and
the
boys
and
girls
club,
and
that
was
where
we
originally
discussed
pickleball.
So
there
is
an
option.
There
might
be
another
location,
but
I
don't
know
if
we
could
make
that
recommendation
by
measure
j's
october
meeting.
F
A
Can
I
comment
too,
I
just
wanted
to
let
you
know
that
the
measure
j
commission
is
creating
an
application
form
that
they're
going
to
put
out
pretty
soon
that
you'll
fill
out
and
submit,
and
so
all
the
city
departments,
too,
are
we're
all
we're
all
gonna
be
applying,
and
so
it's
great
that
you've
got
your
list
started,
because
I
think
that
they're
they're
developing
an
actual
form
that
you'll
fill
out
with
questions
and
you'll
answer
the
whys
wise.
F
Yes,
so
we
we
attended,
I
attended
the
measure
j
meeting
last
month
and
they
did
talk
about
the
application.
It
wasn't
really
clear
if
commissions,
especially
parks
and
recs,
I
think,
was
a
top
priority.
As
we
heard
from
city
council.
I
don't
know
if
the
commissions
needed
to
fill
that
form
out
at
that
meeting.
It
sounded
very
much
like
in
the
early
days
like,
for
example,
anything
that
was
community-based,
that
all
residents
could
apply
or
all
of
one
ps
all
neighborhoods
could
apply,
and
so
where
we
might
have
to
fill
out
the
application.
F
I
surely
wouldn't
wait
for
that,
and
so
we're
prepared
to
attend
the
measure
j
meeting
in
october
and
I'm
surely
prepared
to
show
up
at
the
city
council
retreat
and
and
continue
to
communicate
this
so
that
parks
and
rec,
because
just
historically
we
were
allocated
parks
and
recs
received
an
allocation
vote
from
measure
j
and
city
council
that
we
would
get
1.5
million
dollars
a
year
for
two
years
to
get
us
to
a
three
million
dollar
mark.
C
B
Thank
you
ellen
anybody
else.
Have
any
questions
or
comments
on
that.
J
B
B
C
F
Jerry
is
we've
mobilized
volunteers
in
the
dog
park
to
take
surveys
because
we
won't
go
to
the.
We
won't
make
recommendations
that
are
not
recommendations
from
the
users
of
the
park.
So
what
we've
done
so
far
is
we've
canvassed
the
users
of
the
park.
Some
showed
up
today,
many
wrote
in,
and
so
we
have
that
data,
but
otherwise
there
has
been
no
agreement
or
allocation.
F
I
I'd
like
very
much
to
have
a
direction
that
don
do
a
walk-through
with
stacy
and
one
or
two
of
our
volunteers
and
look
at
the
city
hall
dog
park
from
an
engineering
to
see
if
we
can
come
up
with
a
price
on
what
that
will
be
so
that
we
know
if
we're
in
a
ballpark
where
we
can
submit
that
to
measure
j
and
I'd
also
like
him
to
walk
with
stacy
and
another
one
or
two
from
the
community.
F
The
du
mouth
park
for
a
ground
coverage
solution
for
that
park
to
get
the
people
off
the
softball
fields.
So
I
can
speak
to
number
three
and
I'd
like
to
have
that
on
the
list
and
see
what
your
thoughts
are.
B
E
Have
a
question
with
number
one
when
you
say
needs
assessments
of
other
parks?
Was
that
assessment
done
by
the
commissioners
or
done
by
a
consultant
or
like
what?
How
did.
F
E
No,
so
I
would
recommend
you
ask
for
some
money
for
a
consultant
to
do
it.
Okay,
you
know
it
could
be.
A
Jump
in
on
the
sunrise
park,
one
too.
I
know
that
our
our
group,
the
library
group,
recommended
that
they
they
do
a
sunrise
plan
for
all
of
the
facilities,
the
whole
park
and
not
park
park,
but
library,
leisure
center,
swim
center,
like
the
baseball
stadium,
the
whole
park,
and
because
that
that
came
up
at
our
our
building
planning
meetings
that
we
had.
That
was
a
big
suggestion.
F
Yeah
and
they
are
doing
it-
I've
been
told
jeannie
that
the
city,
the
city
was
looking
at
that,
and
so
I
just
assumed
that
the
city
was
going
to
you,
use
their
costs.
F
A
E
So,
just
to
give
your
commissioners
a
refresh
of
what
happened
last
year,
what
the
parks
and
rec
commission
did,
which
was
really
helpful
for
us
in
engineering,
was
that
in
the
past
a
long
time
ago.
You
know
they
would
ask
for
these
large
projects
or
money
to
be
earmarked
for
these
large
projects,
and
you
guys
never
see
you
know,
because
government
takes
so
long
to
construct
stuff.
E
E
We
finished
the
what
else
projects
the
shade
structures
we
finished
these,
so
so
what
ellen
and
johnny
and
some
of
the
other
commissioners
they
seem
to
target
small
mid-size
projects
that
could
be
done
in
about
a
year's
time
that
totaled
about
a
million
dollars
rather
than
spending
one
million
dollars
on
one
giant
project
like
downtown
park,
and
so
that
was
clear
direction.
It
was
projects
that
could
show
progress,
and
it
was
very
helpful
because
you
know.
M
E
C
C
E
Results
right:
they
want
to
physically
touch
the
results.
Here
we
got
new
surfacing
at
some
of
the
playgrounds
hey.
We
got,
you
know
whatever
it
is,
so
this
list
is
very
good.
I
would
like
to
see
your
discussion
to
be
more
tangible,
so
resurface
the
city
hall
dog
park
for
a
long
term,
so
that
might
be
a
study
again
right.
It
might
be
no
no.
F
E
F
E
F
So
like
these
are
some
examples
of
share
of
multiple
different
ground
covers
that
that's
one
example.
This
is
an
example.
I
should
show
you
another
one
of
some
other
ground
covers,
so
we've
actually
made
a
lot
of
progress.
You
see
the
water
feature
here,
yeah
right
and
let's
see
what
else
we
have.
Oh
by
the
way
you
know
we
have
residents
who
are
actually
cleaning
up
the
park
and
filling
in
holes
which
is
kind
of
crazy,
and
then
this
one
here.
Do
you
see
this
one
here,
don
yup.
C
F
E
E
E
Know
we
should
have
been
under
construction
by
now.
I
know
I
think
sunrise
we
started
in
may
right
and
then
we
just
finished
since
september.
So
it's
about
four
months
of
construction.
E
E
I
have
no
idea,
but
if
we
can
get
the
contract
signed
tomorrow,
the
contractor's
eager
to
start
so.
C
E
E
B
E
F
F
E
Okay,
okay,
so
okay,
soccer
complex,
would
be
a
lot
of
money
that
would
be
a
longer
term
project
signed
commissioners
with
increased
viability,
uk
social
media
and
a
festival.
Okay.
So
I'm
seeing
more
bathrooms,
I'm
seeing
when
you
say
maintain
parks.
E
Are
we
talking
out
of
just
basic
facility
equipment?
I
mean
building
facilities
or
are
we
talking
landscaping?
Are
we
talking.
B
It's
basically
everything
because,
from
the
from
the
maintenance
of
the
equipment
at
the
wellness
park,
that's
broken
to
the
facilities
at
every
park.
I
mean
just
maintenance
in
general
and
that's
a
blurred
line
too,
because
we
don't
know
if
we
go
to
a
subcontractor
that
has
the
contract
that's
falling
down
on
it
or
is
it
part
of
the
city
staff,
that's
short
on
staff,
we're
just
here.
As
you
know,
once
again,
the
citizen
is
trying
to
get
this
figured
out
and
only
knowing
so
much.
E
E
If
we
knew
okay,
you
know
equipment
at
wellness
park
easy
project
to
do
if
it's
painting
of
facilities
easy
project
to
do
right,
if
it's
landscaping
cost
a
little
bit
more,
but
if
we
knew
where
to
target
that
landscaping,
that
would
be
helpful
for
the
commission
to
to
let
us
know
if
it's
I
mean,
I
think
the
general
facility
in
repairs
will
not
come
from
your
budget.
It
would
come
from
the
bigger
pot.
Those
are
bigger
projects
in
the
works.
A
Had
a
suggestion:
what
about
the
swim
center?
I
know
the
the
locker
rooms
are
in
terrible,
terrible
shape
and
that's
a
whole
issue
of
the
the
way
they're
designed
and
where
they
are,
and
that
would
be
a
a
wonderful
something
to
you
know,
fix
improve.
The
swim
center
would
be
to
improve
the
locker
rooms.
B
F
I
can
tell
you
the
dog
park,
city
hall
and
don-
we
haven't
worked
on
this,
but
we
will
and
the
du
mouth
ground
coverage
we're
looking
at
a
million
dollars
for
the
two
and
that's
just
ground
coverage,
and
then
it's
really
an
overhaul,
and
I
I
don't
really
want
to
put
band-aids
and
do
little
things,
because
those
are
kind
of
fun
and
sweet
those
little
things
you
could
probably
find
in
your
budget,
but
I
think
those
restrooms,
I
think,
okay
locker
rooms.
I
think
it's
a
big
project,
but
I
think
locker
rooms
restrooms.
F
The
overhaul
is
city
hall
dog
park
and
the
du
mouth
park
and
I
think
shading.
Those
are
very
significant
and
you
know
measure
j
and
the
city
has
been
saying
that
parks
and
rec's,
really
they
allocated
three
million,
and
I
think
we
should
use
it.
I
don't
think
we
should
go
in
with
ten
thousand
fifteen
thousand.
E
F
F
M
Yeah,
I
want
to
see
us,
invest
something
in
that
sunrise
in
san
rafael
area.
I
know
we
were
looking
at
the
whitewater
park.
We
didn't
get
the
grant
and
that
just
kind
of
fell
away.
We've
got
a
lot
of
kids
and
families
over
there.
I
really
would
like
to
see
us
invest
in
that
lower
income
pocket
of
color
over
there
that
always
gets
left
out,
they're
always
forgotten.
B
B
D
B
F
Well,
we
had
202
people
fill
out
a
dog
park
survey.
We
had
a
massive
amount
of
public
speakers
today
and
emails
and
I'm
going
to
recommend
that
we
put
dog
park
on
the
list.
B
F
Maybe
maybe
we
could
do
done,
I
think,
before
we
could
take
anything
to
measure
jay.
We
have
to
get
some
idea
of
cost
and,
if
you're
willing
to
give
us
a
little
time,
maybe
we
can
walk
the
dog
park.
We
can
walk
up
by
where
san
rafael,
where
dieter's
mentioning
and
look
at
that
land
and
look
at
some
of
the
shading
over
top,
because
I
think
we
have
to
submit
money.
We
can't
just
submit
projects
without
a
cost.
E
E
E
Yeah,
so
how
do
you
guys
want
to
proceed?
I
mean
I'm
definitely
open
to
working
with
you
guys
kind
of
hard
to
do
it
in
front
of
a
camera
right
now.
Is
there
a
subcommittee
or
how.
C
K
C
B
F
C
B
F
Okay,
so
jerry,
how
about
we
do
this
for
a
matter
of
time,
and
I
know
we've
lost
a
few
commissioners
and
I
appreciate
everybody
staying
on
as
long
as
they
have
how
about.
If
measure
j
commission
meets
between
now
and
the
next
meeting,
and
we
can
report
out
well,
we
can
have
maybe
jeannie
send
out
a
communication,
and
so
we
can
get
prepared
to
make
our
measure
j
deadline,
which
is
the
third
thursday
of
october.
B
B
F
Well,
that's
when
I
think
measure
j
would
like,
I
think,
on
the
21st
of
october
measure
j
would
like
to,
but
now
I'm
seeing
that
our
downtown
park
opening
is
the
same
day
as
the
measure
j
commission
meeting.
So
they
might
not
have
that
meeting.
F
And
then
again,
city
council
is
not
meeting
until
november
19th,
so
there
might
be
a
little
bit
of
time
for
us
to
get
a
vote
from
our
board
our
commission
and
then
move
it
over
to
measure
j.
I
I
can
check
on
that
don
thanks
for
bringing
that
up.
B
A
F
B
B
Sorry
about
that,
I'm
getting
it's
going
on
I'm
getting
tired
here!
I
apologize
discussion
of
dog
park.
Grant
updates.
A
F
No,
that's
why
I
asked
if,
if
you
could
just
check
in
with
the
grant
writer,
that's
where
I
heard
it
was
living
yeah.
A
And
then
I'm
like
you
guys,
have
a
grant
writer
I'm
jealous.
A
B
Yeah,
if
we
can
find
out
who
the
from
the
grant
writer,
if
we
can
get
an
update
from
her
or
him
whoever
it
is,
it's.
A
Martha
I'll
I'll
reach
out
and
find
out.
B
Thank
you.
We
can
find
out
for
that.
Next
one
will
be
a
verbal
report
on
any
subcommittees.
Any
ad
hoc
committees
do
we
have
anything
going
on.
F
F
B
Yeah,
you
guys
have
done
it
great
honestly.
You
guys
have
done
a
great
job.
I
mean
the
surveys.
The
everybody's
been
putting
it
out
there.
You
guys
really
did
a
lot.
A
lot
of
work,
really
good
job,
everybody
on
that
that
that
it's
near
and
dear
to
logical
parts.
So
you
can
see
it's
it's
it's
worth
it
at
this
time.
Let's
go
to
reports
and
request
commissioner
comments.
So
we
can
get
this
this
meeting,
wrapping
up
any
commission
or
comments
I'll
start
with
the
susan.
You
raise
your
hand
first,
yes,
ma'am.
K
I
just
have
a
quick
question
just
because
I'm
newer,
it
seems
like
something
that's
happened.
A
few
times
today
is
that
we've
wanted
to
express
to
the
city
council
or
to
another
commissioner,
our
dissatisfaction
or
even
like
propose
some
sort
of
admonishment
for
not
following
specific
protocol.
Is
there
like
a
a
traditional
way
to
get
that
message
across?
Is
there
some
sort
of
like
declaration?
K
That's
usually
done,
or
is
there
some
some
part
of
the
it's,
not
a
handbook,
but
some
part
of
the
protocol
that
would
authorize
us
doing
that,
so
that
we
could
send
something
like
pursuant
to
rule
1.2.
You
know
this
is
an
advantage
for
not
following
the
rules,
basically
just
so
that
there's
some
sort
of
receipt
or
documentation
that
we're
at.
A
K
Trying
to
push
it
back
towards
you
know,
following
the
framework
that's
outlined.
B
Good
very
good
question:
I
am
unaware
of
that.
I've
only
taken
the
submission
over
this
is
my
second.
You
know
meeting
leading
it,
and
this
is
how
I've
seen
it
handled
as
well
from
the
last
couple
years.
So
hopefully
we
can
get
something
initiated
or
do
something.
Does
anybody
have
any
on
that?
Because
I've
never
heard
of
anything.
D
There,
for
sure,
has
to
be
policy
on
that
and
susan
we
are,
there
is
supposed
to
be
a
city
council
person
that
is
dedicated
to
each
of
these
commissions,
and
so,
when
they're
not
present
throughout
the
whole
meeting,
then
then
that
information
should
be
sent
to
them
and
we
should
request
a
response.
A
We've
done
at
the
library
we've
done
memos
before
so.
If
there's
something
that
you
wanted
put
into
a
memo,
we
can
send
a
memo.
C
K
I
mean
I
could
do
that.
I,
the
I'd,
be
happy
to
do
whatever
you
guys
wanted
me
to
be
honest.
I
I
was
just
also
kind
of
wondering
if
even
as
a
starting
point,
there
was
some
document
that
the
newer
commission's
commissioners
could
read
that
talks
about
where
the
protocols
are
to
where
something
first
comes
to
the
parks
and
rec
commission,
and
then
it
then
it
goes
to
the
art
commission
for
something
like
the
big
baby.
Just
so
that
you
know
I
or
the
newer
people
had
an
idea
of
hey.
K
This
is
the
protocol,
and
this
is
how
it
hasn't
been
followed
with
the
desert.
It's
project,
art
piece,
and
then
this
art
piece
as
well,
and
then,
if
you
always
wanted
me
to
do
something,
I'd
be
happy
to,
you
know,
propose
some
ideas.
A
I
feel
like
the
new
city
manager
is
really
looking
at
the
commissions
and
trying
to
find
out
like
just
like
you're
asking
like
how
and
how
right.
So.
I
think
that
that
is
something
that's
on
his
radar
right
now
to
try
to
develop
a
protocol
or
try
to
figure
out
how
this
all.
K
And
just
so
much
so
from
my
understanding,
you
all
just
know
because
you've
done
it
out
of
experience.
Is
that
how
you
know
or
have
you
been
referring
to
some
sort
of
document,
that
sort
of
tells
you,
okay,
wow?
Okay,
I'm
glad
to
have
your
wisdom
and
I'm
sorry
for
my
ignorance,
but
that's
good
to
know.
A
I
know
I
don't
know
about
your
commission,
but
I'm.
I
know
what
I
know
the
library
board
of
trustees.
They
do
have
resolutions
supporting
what
they're
tasked
to
do,
and
so
they
because
they
are
they're
a
governing
body-
that's
determined
by
the
california
education
code.
So
it's
it's
mandatory
that
a
public
library
have
a
governing
board
of
five
members,
and
so
so
they
have
some
rules
to
abide
by.
A
But
and
then,
when
the,
when
the
library
board
of
trustees
was
established,
the
city
council
did
a
resolution
and
detailed
what
their
expectations
were
about.
They
they
have
money
that
they
have
to
manage
and
oversee.
So
it's
a
little
bit
different
and
I
don't
know
if
you
all
have
a
document
like
that.
Probably
not
I
don't
know
some
point.
Your
commission
had
to
have
been
established
right.
N
N
Does
anybody
think
that
that
would
be
a
place
to
attend
to
report
directly
stating
what's
occurred
and
what
hasn't
occurred
and
what
needs
to
change
and
directly
approach
the
council
and
and
and
have
an
advocate
you
know,
and
on
a
weekly
basis,
if
necessary
or
as
needed
to
to
you
know
I
I
don't
know
where
a
memo
or
anything
would
go
or
what
desk
it
would
land
I
mean.
N
I
know
jeff
course
was
on
the
meeting
a
while
ago
and
if
we
kind
of
put
these
matters
up,
front
and
kind
of
you
know
use
the
word
accountability.
I
think.
Maybe
you
know
I
think
maybe
we
just
put
it
on
the
forefront,
because
I'm
kind
of
I'm
very
taken
back
to
not
understand
how
things
are
going
on
in
the
park
in
the
parks.
Commission
is
not
involved,
I'm
kind
of
shaking
my
head
to
that.
I
I
I
agree
with
john
that
the
art
is
subjective
and
there's
an
art
commission.
N
So
as
much
as
I'm
not
a
fan
of
little
baby
statues
but
ellen
you
know
it's
all
art.
I
mean
it's
cool,
but
I
I
it's
not
my
place,
I'm
not
on
the
art
commission,
so
I
think
it's
about
functionability.
I
think
when
you
talk
about
a
bike
rack
where
it
goes
is
important
to
us
based
upon
where
it's
needed
aesthetics
you
know
secondary,
maybe,
but
I
just
I
just
I'm
kind
of
trying
to
understand
the
process.
N
I
mean
I'm
on
a
sub
committee
for
sunrise
park
and
I'm
not
exactly
sure
how
we
get
together
or
how
we
operate
to
be
able
to
go
forward.
But
I
keep
thinking
as
I've
heard
this
call
that,
if
any
work
that
gets
done,
it
could
be
superseded
by
somebody
from
the
city
when
we
look
up-
and
so
it
kind
of
makes
me
wonder
what
the
point
of
the
parks
and
recreation
commission
is.
So
you
know
I'm
just
trying
to
follow
along
and
understand
how
this
works.
N
So
that's
my
long-winded
question
and
my
short
one
was:
why
not
go
to
the
the
city
council
meetings
and
actually
literally
just
point
blank
and
say:
hey,
you
know
we
have
a
parks
and
rec
commission
and
nobody's
reported
to
us
on
on
these
matters,
and
can
we
do?
Can
we
operate
correctly?
We
do
things
the
right
way
and
I'm
just
wondering
if
that's
the
right
way.
B
N
Well,
they've
been
online,
you've
they've
been
online,
so
people
have
called
in
like
they've
done
this
one,
so
they
just
they
just
do
it
over
the
phone
right.
I
think.
A
Commission,
I
that's
so
I
I
just
know
that
that
is
a
tricky
spot
to
be
in
because
you
are
advisors,
but
it's
it's
frustrating
if
they
don't
take
your
advice.
N
I
I
wouldn't
think
that
the
art
commission
trumps,
the
the
parks
commission.
I
think
somebody
made
that
call
because
it's
like,
if
the
if
we
decided
to
paint
a
mural
in
the
park,
are
we
allowed
to
do.
Can
we
do
it,
but
wouldn't
it
be
in
everybody's,
you
know
working
together
to
to
have
the
arts
commission
being
charged
with
that
and
be
responsible
for
that.
N
N
I
I
don't
know
enough
about
some
of
the
things
when
ellen
mentioned
about
measure
j
and
how
we
could
procure
some
of
those
funds
and
go
after
that,
but
I
I
just
think
that
I
think
it
starts
with
kind
of
accountability
and
and
under
you
know,
a
lot
of
people
are
going
to
dedicate
their
time
to
to
I
mean
for
who,
however,
you
put
that
initiative
together
to
for
the
dog
park
to
survey.
I
think
that's
incredible
and
I'm
just
trying
to
figure
out
how
that
even
got
together.
N
C
B
B
F
And
you
know
genie,
I
don't
think
I
think
everybody
knows
that
we're
just
we
just
make
suggestions.
I
think
where
the
pain
comes
in
the
achilles
heel
is
that
it's
never
communicated
back
and
so
that
then
it
I
think,
that's
really,
and
I
think
something
that's
chris
is
saying
is
like,
and
even
susan
brought
it
what's
the
what's
the
communication
thread,
you
know
how?
How
do
we
go
about
and
there
usually
is
an
onboarding
process
for
new
commissioners?
F
F
This
is
years,
commissioner,
armstrong
is
still
on
this
call
and
he
was
quoted
in
an
article
in
the
newspaper
in
2011
with
the
same
problems,
and
so
it's
not
been
an
easy
passage,
but,
like
john
said
that
it
got
to
the
point
where
community
members
and
that's
where
really
the
value
is
it's
not
necessarily
the
value
with
us.
Our
value
is
organizing
and
and
trying
to
support,
but
it's
really
getting
the
people
to
speak
and
that's
where
the
difference
will
be
made.
B
So
what
I'm
gonna
do
then
for
before
our
next
meeting
I
will
go
through
and
try
to
see
if
there's
any
anything,
putting
in
writing
if
we
have
guidelines
like
here's,
what
this
commission
is
to
do.
Here's
who
we
need
to
report
to
you
know
because,
like
you
said,
we
have
one
city,
council,
member
and
he's
on
for
a
few
minutes
and
he
hops
off.
We
have
nobody
to
talk
to
nobody
to
communicate
to.
B
We
say
everything
we
want
to
say
then
just
next
meeting,
it's
completely
opposite
of
everything
we've
recommended
so
far
and
that's
been
the
last
couple
years.
I've
seen
this,
we
say
abc
and
they
do
xyz,
that's
how
it
just
goes
and
we
just
gotta
live
with
it.
So
let
me
see
what
we
can
find
out
see
if
there
is
something
in
writing,
because
there
has
to
be
some
they
just
don't.
You
know,
start
these
commissions
and
say:
okay,
citizens,
you
run
with
it.
K
I
think
you're,
oh
I
didn't
mean
to
stop
you.
I
just
was
thinking,
maybe
a
good
place
to
start
looking
would
be
on
the
general
plan,
maybe
or
in
the
municipal
guides
just
on
the
city
of
palm
springs
websites,
just
because
I'm
sure
that
there's
I
know
that
when
I
was
on
the
interview
for
the
panel,
they
were
talking
about
the
general
plan
as
sort
of
a
place
for
subcommittee.
So
maybe
there's
something
in
there.
N
B
N
I
just
wanted
to
see
how
I
could
get
together
with
like
the
sunrise
committee,
if,
if,
if
that's
by
the
way,
it's
your
first
time
actually
alcorn,
that's
actually
that's
your
first
name.
B
N
All
right,
thank
you,
yeah.
I
was
just
wondering
how
I
could
again
get
started
with
the
sunrise
committee
and
and
how
that
could
get
going,
and
I
didn't
know
if
there
was
like
an
orchestrator
of.
B
F
A
Why
I
don't
know
that
it's
really
started?
It
was
just
a
suggestion,
but
and
there's
no
there.
I
don't
know,
there's
no
money
assigned
to
it.
We
got
all
of
our
measure.
J
money
pulled,
and
I
know
in
the
five-year
plan
the
proposed
plan.
A
It
was
to
start
working
on
different
things,
to
work
on
the
front,
jc
frye
building
and
then
to
do
planning
for
the
main
library,
but
that
that
just
came
from
like
kathy
warmick
and
some
of
the
members
who
were
on
our
building
committee
but
ellen
you
were
on
the
billing
committee
right.
Were
you
on
that.
F
I
think
they've
run
with
it
and
I
have
a
meeting
with
jeff
on
october
1st.
So
I
will
check
in
and
ask
and
ask
him.
A
Okay,
yeah
because
that'd
be
a
great
thing
for
christopher
to
join.
You
know
the
the
sunrise
subcommittee
to
join
in
and
start
talking,
but
we
need
money.
So
we
don't
want
to
talk
too
much
until
we
have
any
money
dedicated
because
then
it's
just
a
waste
of
everybody's
time.
N
But
it
isn't
also
like
dude,
I
mean
now
that
they
clean
up
the
park
in
a
way
and
and
made
it
safer,
isn't
a
goal
to
kind
of
have
more
activities
and
things
kind
of
go
on
and
like
use
it
I
mean,
as
you've
been
there
for
for
a
very
long
time.
I
I
live
across
the
street
for
40
something
years.
N
N
I
know
we
don't
have
any
tennis
courts
there
or
anything
like
that,
but
I
think
that's
a
good
thing,
because
I
think
it
gives
it
a
different
opportunity
and
a
dynamic
and
I'm
you
know
I
would
wonder
you
know
with
the
library
and
all
that
if
there
was
like
activities
and
things
like
that,
that
could
you
know
be
be
held
out
there
and
start
like
utilizing.
The
park,
like
you
know
like
long
ago,.
A
Yeah-
and
you
know,
I'm
I'm
fully
supporting
supportive
of
the
pickleball
idea,
but
then
the
plan
was
to
put
it
right
in
the
spot,
where
we
were.
I
I'm
not
for
free.
N
A
Yes,
not
just
an
abandoned
green
space,
but
you
know
we
have
to
consider
parking
and
and
the
library
and
like
the
mixed
use
when
when
there's
a
ball
game,
forget
it
don't
go
to
the
library,
because
you
won't
be
able
to
find
a
place
to
park
and
it's
frustrating
for
us
and
even
when
we're
there
at
the
library
just
doing
our
own
programs,
there's
no
place
to
park
so
we're
having
parking
issues
and
then
you
know
so
there's
a
whole
there's
a
whole
the
complex,
the
sunrise
plaza
they
used
to
be.
A
Instead
of
calling
it
sunrise
park
master
plan.
Maybe
they
should
call
it.
The
sunrise
plaza
master
plan,
because
I
think
that's
the
name
of
the
whole
complex,
because
it's
confusing
because
people
say
oh
well,
there
is
a
park
master
plan,
but
it's
like
well,
it
didn't
really
include
the
library
or
boys
and
girls
or
mizelle,
or
any
of
that
I
don't
just
just
an
idea
but
yeah.
We
should
talk.
E
I
mean,
I
think
the
history
of
the
master
plan
was
that
you
know
there
was
that
whole
steering
committee
to
choose
where
the
library
was
going
to
be,
and
then
they
they
decided
that
the
library
should
be
at
sunrise
park.
But
the
question
was:
do
we
build
a
brand
new
building
at
sunrise
park,
or
do
we
renovate
the
existing
building
or
do
we
expand
the
existing
building?
If
we
built
a
new
building
at
the
park?
What
would
you
use
the
old
library
for
and
then
that
whole
discussion
came
up
hey?
E
E
E
That's
right,
but
I'm
sure
knowing
this
council
they're
gonna
have
another
community
process
when
they
do
that
master
plan,
so
it
wouldn't
be
done
in
a
vacuum.
But
you
know
those
are
big
questions.
Do
you
build
a
new
library
building?
Do
you
retrofit
the
existing
one?
Do
you
I
mean
parking
has
been
a
problem
probably
forever
right.
It's.
N
About
you
know,
you
know
it's
one
of
the
most
charming
buildings
in
palm
springs.
I
love
when
I
walk
in
there.
I
really
do
I
love
that
building.
Since
I'm
a
little
kid
I
used
to
run
up
and
down
the
wall.
It
was
like
it
was
like
a
feat
if
you
could
make
it
to
the
top,
and
so
it's
it's
so
I
I
think
you've
been
there
so
long,
you're,
so
dedic.
You
know.
N
What
could
be
done
or
should
be
done
and-
and
I
wouldn't
be
the
first
one
to
answer
that
when
it
comes
to
expanding
or
building,
I
would
hate
to
see
that
building
go,
but
I
would
wanted
to
see
what
would
be
best
and
not
something
that
you
know
would
be
so
daunting
that
we'd
be
here
forever,
but
I
I
also
don't
like
when
things
are
done,
cheap
and
and
and
and
tawdy.
N
So
I
I
hate
when
you
know
things
are
done
in
a
rush,
but
I
I
think
activities.
I
think
that
whole
area
is
just
trying
to
utilize,
but
since
you
have
such
a
vantage
point,
I
think,
having
a
subcommittee
and
being
able
to
hear
what
you
have
to
say
and
what
everybody
thinks
would
be
a
great
starting
point.
That's
all.
I
have
to
say
that.
C
B
Right,
well,
that's
something
maybe
we
can
do
is
get
the
sunrise
park
committee
together
and
just
talk
about
what
we
would
like
to
see
happen.
You
know
for
that
park,
but
that's
something
we
can
bring
up
for
another
meeting
or
at
a
different
time.
Is
any
other
commissioner
comments
or
anything?
B
C
F
I
want
to
thank
you
sorry
travis.
I
just
want
to
thank
everyone.
It's
been
a
very
long
night.
There
was
a
lot
of
information
shared
jerry,
did
a
great
job,
really
man
doing
a
great
job
leading
our
meetings.
I
really
appreciate
it
and
jeannie
thanks
for
stepping
in
and
managing
things.
I
just
want
to
thank
everybody.
C
J
J
Maybe
I
missed
it
because
I
had
a
bad
connection,
but
I
was
expecting
that
we
would
get
some
kind
of
update
about.
We
lost
our
director
and
what
the
plan
is
to
get
a
new
director
city
manager
didn't
show
up
tonight.
I
guess
so
sort
of
in
the
dark.
You
know
what
happened
and
where
we're
going.
Just
on
the
previous
conversation,
you
know
us
often
said
that
we
are
an
advisory
body.
J
Obviously
our
current
mayor,
one
point
said
about
the
parks,
recreation
mission
that
we
serve
at
their
pleasure,
but
it's
important
to
remember
for
everyone
listening
and
watching
that
the
city
council,
the
mayor,
also
served
at
our
pleasure
as
citizens
of
palm
springs,
and
you
know
issues
with
the
dog
park.
You
saw
the
community
talk
about
tonight.
I
mean
I
really
think
the
only
way
with
this
particular
composition
of
our
city,
council
and
some
of
the
decisions
they
made
to
actually
get
things
through
is
actually
to
to
organize
people
to
talk
talk
to
the
media.
J
We
see
this
issue
with
the
renaming.
It'll
be
interesting
how
that
plays
out
in
the
media,
but
I
think
the
situation
we
have
today
is
that
to
get
things
done
it
it.
It
means
going
beyond
just
our
meetings
and
and
because
ellen's
very
good
at
talking
to
the
council
people.
But
you
know,
we've
talked
and
talked
and
talked
to
council
people
about
these
issues,
and
then
we
go
back
and
say:
let's
go
to
another
meeting,
it
doesn't
make
any
change.
A
To
talk
about
director
alvarado,
so
cynthia
alvarado
left
to
go
work
for
the
city
of
rialto
and
it
it
was
a
pretty
sudden
move.
I
mean
you
know
an
opportunity
that
had
I'm
sure
she
had
to
move
on
quickly.
So
there
wasn't
a
lot
of
time,
but
I
am
just
temporarily
filling
in
as
the
the
interim
parks
and
recreation
director.
The
plan
is
that
I've
been
told
by
the
city
manager
that
the
plan
is
that
they
are
going
to
recruit
and
fill
the
position.
A
So
I
think
that's
a
great
decision
because
it's
a
huge
department
it
it
maybe
not.
B
A
Yeah,
so
I've
been
with
the
city
for
nine
years
and
I'm
familiar
with
the
city
so
that
I
think
that's
a
that.
It
was
a
good
fit
to
have
me
fill
in
temporarily,
because
I
am
familiar
with
how
the
city
runs
and
how
the
parks
and
rec
department
runs.
For
the
most
part,
I'm
learning
a
lot
but
yeah
the
the
my
position
is
supposed
to
be
temporary.
A
A
The
police,
chief,
retired
and.
