If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).

C
C
B
B
Any
person
who
wishes
to
speak
on
a
topic
within
the
city's
jurisdiction
during
this
portion
of
the
agenda
must
file
a
speaker
card
with
the
staff
liaison
before
that
portion
of
the
agenda
is
called.
Three
minutes
are
allocated
per
speaker.
Although
the
Commission
values
your
comments
pursuant
to
the
Brown
Act,
it
generally
cannot
take
any
action
on
items
not
listed
on
the
posted
agenda.
B
Commissioners
will
not
enter
into
discussion
with
speakers,
but
during
Commissioner
comments
may
refer
the
matter
to
staff
a
report
and
recommendation
at
a
future
meeting.
Today
we
have
two
individuals,
who've
indicated
they'd
like
to
speak.
First
on
the
list
is
donald,
morgan
donald.
You
can
come
right
up
to
this
microphone
here
in
that
chair
and
hit
the
button
on
the
above
mic.
D
Good
afternoon,
everyone,
my
name,
is
donald
morgan,
I'm
a
new
resident
of
Palm
Springs
California,
my
wife
and
I
Johnny
key
come
to
Palm
Springs
from
Washington
DC,
as
well
as
Melbourne
Beach
Florida.
To
tell
you
a
little
bit
about
myself,
I
transitioned
from
the
Air
Force
after
26
years
of
service
I
was
a
senior
information
technology
officer
in
the
NAFTA.
D
My
transition
I
worked
at
the
Pentagon
for
three
and
a
half
years
supporting
a
former
boss
as
a
program
manager
I'm
here
today
out
of
my
interest
for
Human
Rights,
and
also
as
to
possibly
support
any
openings
that
you
may
have
have
experience
in
human
rights
from
my
position
working
in
Bosnia,
where
I
worked
in
supporting
people
indicted
for
war
crimes
as
well
as
my
work
in
the
Philippines
that
is
all
I
have.
Thank
you
very
much
excellent.
E
I
just
wanted
to
take
some
time
to
introduce
myself
formally
to
a
lot
of
you
new
commissioners.
I
am
actually
the
regional
manager
for
the
State
Council
on
developmental
disabilities,
for
the
state
of
California
I
cover
Riverside
County
San
Bernardino
in
yoen,
Mono
County,
a
lot
of
the
issues
that
the
HRC
takes
up
actually
crossed
the
whole
spectrum
for
my
population,
as
commissioner
Chandra
Sina
is
actually
a
regional
advisory
committee.
Member
for
my
office,
I
just
wanted
to
afford
the
Commission
the
opportunity
to
be
involved
in
systemic
issues
here
in
the
valley.
E
I'm,
very
proud
of
the
work
that
you
guys
are
doing
and
I
wanted
to
just
include
you
guys
and
other
opportunities
with
other
agencies,
not
only
mine
but
I,
also
partner
with
Department
of
Rehabilitation
regional
center.
Anything
you
can
think
of
with
people
with
disabilities
I'm,
actually
more
than
likely
involved
in
and
so
I
just
wanted
to
introduce
myself.
E
Let
you
guys
know
that
I'll
keep
you
in
the
loop
on
very
systemic
trainings
activities,
events
that
are
occurring
in
the
valley
and
just
afford
you
guys
that
opportunity
I
also
wanted
to
share
information
which
I'll
provide
to
mr.
Cooke
on
our
office
has
moved.
So,
if
you
know
anybody
with
a
disability
or
in
special
education
that
needs
services,
technical
assistance
or
whatever
the
case
might
be,
you
can
always
refer
them
to
our
office.
B
G
A
B
Next
up,
we
have
a
time
for
Commissioner
and
staff
student
comments.
This
is
now
the
time
where
we
ask
the
commissioners,
if
they'd
like
to
bring
something
forward
to
the
Commission
that
has
a
Human
Rights
Commission
interest
to
share
with
the
Commission.
If
not,
you
can
give
your
updates
during
the
regular
committee
update
period,
so
this
is
just
an
open
opportunity
that
we
used
to
address
at
the
end
of
the
meeting
and
now
we're
addressing
it
at
the
front
of
the
meeting.
Okay,
Commissioner
gross.
C
A
Course,
I
have
to
have
something,
as
ron
had
mentioned
earlier,
that
with
the
vacancies
that
now
exist
on
the
commission,
the
opening
recruitment
has
been
underway
and
once
that
is
closed
and
I
don't
have
a
date
certain
of
when
it
would
occur.
But
the
council
subcommittee
will
be
interviewing
the
applicants
along
with
the
chair,
if
there's
those
outside
in
the
general
public,
the
it's
posted
on
the
website,
so
you
can
make
your
application
on
the
website
or
come
in
for
a
written
application.
We.
B
G
B
I
G
B
B
So
it
looks
like
we've
got
a
full
house
with
the
exception
of
our
mission
in
Randolph,
who's
gonna
have
her
knees
fixed
one
or
two.
Yes,
why?
All
right
very
good,
that's
a
good!
That's
a
good,
showing
that's
right!
Usually
at
10
o'clock
would
do
okay,
so
you'll
get
additional
details
and
for
them
today,
on
the
mend
ale
will
send
to
the
Commission's.
We
all
have
those
excellent
anything
else
on
the
calendar.
B
The
only
update
I
think
we
have
is
that
the
awards
are
being
ordered
and
NAM
nominees
have
been
informed
and
now
the
next
step
is,
we
are
going
to
get
emails
from
Dale
and
to
each
of
the
commissioners
who
volunteered
to
introduce
the
award
for
the
particular
honoree
and
then
you'll
be
asked
to
contact
the
honoree
directly,
introduce
yourself
as
a
commissioner
and
let
them
know
what
the
flow
of
events
is
going
to
be
you'll
end.
It
you'll
meet
them
here,
city
hall
chambers,
at
our
next
meeting,
and
we
will
have
the
awards
presentation.
B
Say
to
accept
the
award
after
you
introduce
them.
You'll
want
to
get
there
any
information
from
their
bio.
That
may
not
be
included
in
what
Dale's
going
to
send
you
from
the
nomination
packet
and
that's
it
answer
any
questions
that
they
have
and
if
they
ask
questions
that
we
don't
have
answers
for
get
with
Dale
and
he'll
make
sure
he
gets
answers
to
you.
Okay,.
I
A
Hasn't
been
any
formal
guidance,
but
it's
nothing
like
the
Golden
Globes
over
last
night.
It's
very
sharp.
Most
of
your
remarks
will
cover
their
accomplishments,
so
they're
more
thanking
for
the
recognition
so
probably
three
to
five
minutes.
Okay,
we
did
have
one
group
that
a
commission
member
still
has
to
confirm
their
availability
and
presenting
and
I
I.
B
Viader
kits
of
the
desert,
excellent,
so
theories
are
taken
care
of
now.
Thank
you
for
that
and
Commissioner
Chappelle
and
I
will
we'll
go
through
and
we'll
discuss
the
flow
of
that
session
this
month
and
and
it
will
be
a
nice
nice
gathering.
So
our
meeting
will
not
be
here
in
February.
We
will
gather
in
the
council
chambers,
let's.
B
H
So
I
think
that
that's
probably
where
the
subcommittee
is
right
now
and
I
think
that
if
we
can
have
maybe
a
continued,
an
update
on
on
where
the
city
manager
is
in
the
process
of
trimming
the
trees
and
everything
else.
That
was
discussed
in
the
article
that
that
would
be
helpful
for
us.
But
I
was
happy
to
hear
that
I
think
that's
a
wonderful
step
forward
and
we
should
be
proud
of
our
leaders
for
taking
the
initiative
to
take
care
of
that.
That
issue
in
the
community
I.
A
Would
that
particular
matter
is
beyond
the
preview
of
our
committee
of
our
Commission.
It
was
the
intent
of
some
type
of
designation
of
recognizing
the
founder
of
that
subdivision,
so
it
wasn't
necessarily
about
the
infrastructure,
or
you
know
some
of
the
issues
that
are
involved
with
to
two
of
the
Neighborhood
Association.
So
our
effort
was
more
what
would
be
a
rightful
a
recognition
of
the
founder
of
the
subdivision
as
a
minority
gentleman
and
I?
I
Yeah
kind
of
a
information
question
for
me:
yeah
I
saw
the
Desert
Sun
article
and
also
like
do
I.
Remember
correctly,
that
article
did
not
cover
the
actual
point
of
renaming
across
the
road
right
not
cover
that
at
all
in
it.
So
is
that
kind
of
the
kind
of
sense
that
both
rekik
well
recognition
of
mr.
Crosley's
accomplishments,
as
we
just
discussed,
is
something
we
can
cover
as.
I
B
B
The
road
said
the
the
the
process
sets
with
subcommittee
at
City
Council.
We
don't
have
a
role
with
that.
The
Commission
has
already
submitted
a
letter
of
endorsement
to
support
the
full
name
right.
It
is
with
subcommittee
new
committee
chairs
have
been
assigned
from
City,
Council
I,
don't
know
who
they
are.
B
Maybe
if
we
can
get
the
list
of
assignments,
Dale
will
get
us
a
list
of
the
new
assignments,
so
we
know
who's
assigned
on
those
committees
and
if
we
want
to
have
conversations
with
the
councilmembers,
but
this
is
one
of
those
committees
that
that
it
did
change.
The
name
subcommittee
did
change,
so
jr.
is
no
longer
on
it
and
somebody
else's.
B
F
Are
busy
working
away
on
the
table?
Talk
we're
very
excited
all
of
us,
the
four
commissioners
on
the
marketing
and
Outreach
Committee
we've
talked
to
various
groups
and
organizations
planning
dates.
Unfortunately,
we
don't
have
all
of
them
confirmed
it's
a
little
bit
more
of
a
logistics
as
far
as
we
all
need
to
be
together
in
the
same
room
to
be
able
to
confirm
dates
and
make
sure
one
of
us
can
be
at
each
table.
Talk
after
that's
completed
we're
hoping
for
our
next
Commission
meeting
that
we'll
be
able
to
present
that
to
you.
F
Hopefully,
Pryor
will
be
able
to
send
it
to
email
to
you,
Dale
and
you'll
be
able
to
send
it
out
to
everybody
sooner
one
surprise,
and
hopefully,
by
the
next
meeting.
We'll
have
everybody
signed
up
if
anybody
else
from
the
Commission
and
so
far
so
good
that
we're
very
excited.
We
think
this
is
going
to
be
a
great
outreach.
There's
lots
of
the
groups
and
organizations
that
have
been
very
receptive
so
knock
on
wood.
B
C
With
the
resignation
of
Commissioner
hunt,
we're
gonna
push
the
reset
button
on
this
I
think
we
need
to
meet
as
a
committee
create
a
strategy
that
will
be
helpful
to
both
our
committee
and
to
the
student
representatives.
So
we
asked
you
for
your
indulgence
and
patience.
While
we
get
this
together,
we
want
it
to
be
an
effective
position,
not
just
an
in
name
type
of
thing
and.
B
That's
that's
fine
with
me.
Is
everybody?
Okay
with
that,
so
Sam
will
step
up
and
take
that
fill
that
role
there
beautiful
so
I
think
we
had
asked
and
again
I'll
come
back
to
just
getting
a
timeline.
If
the
subcommittee
is
part
of
your
conversations
in
your
work
and
just
bring
forward
when
our
timeline
is
to
address
the
student
representative
topic
in
issue
just
so,
we
know
there's
an
end
in
sight
and
we
know
what
we're
looking
for
and
know.
We
will
get
it
taken
care
of
this
year.
B
Next
up
the
senior
and
dependent
adult
Bill
of
Rights
subcommittee,
and
that's
myself,
Commissioner
gross
since
we
didn't
meet
as
a
full
subcommittee
this
since
our
last
meeting,
but
we
did
have
the
meeting
that
we
mentioned.
We
were
trying
to
set
up
with
at
the
time
council
member
vote
and
council
member.
Of
course,
that
meeting
did
take
place
and
it
was
very
fruitful
and
we've
I
think
that
we
were
able
to
glean
a
lot
of
good
direction
and
information
from
from
any
vote
with
her
role
at
the
Mizell
Senior
Center.
B
B
Rights
are
being
violated
to
eating
error
in
situation
where
somebody
may
not
be
able
to
take
care.
So
it's
wide
encompassing
list
of
services
and
the
suggestion
was
as
a
human
rights
commission
to
work
with
Mizell
and
maybe
a
couple
other
stakeholders
and
convene
what
we
were
calling
this
first
town
hall.
But
do
that
town
hall
in
the
form
of
a.
B
Call
of
service
providers
in
the
region
that
provides
services
for
senior
and
/,
we
will
add,
dependent
adult
so
that
those
two
communities
and
have
this
this
town
hall
of
these
service
providers,
and
use
that
as
our
opportunity,
our
first
opportunity
to
pull
in
information
law.
We
have
folks
that
are
there
present
and
that
are
actually
in
need
of
services
that
they're
either
seeking
information
on.
B
B
G
First,
one
was:
why
has
the
city
not
paid
attention
the
entrance
of
this
neighborhood
again,
you
know,
there's
no
signage.
The
lighting
is
so
bad
when
you're
driving
into
that
neighborhood
and
again
at
the
meeting
there
was
an
issue
on
traffic
lights.
The
traffic
there
day
the
community
warned
had
a
need
for
traffic
lights
in
that
area.
But
again
there
was
a.
It
has
been
a
such
a
long
process
for
the
community
to
get
this
traffic
lights
when
with
the
police
department
present
and
all
the
other
people
who
are
involved
in
you
know,.
G
Actually,
putting
into
place
the
traffic
lighting,
that's
in
that
area
by
the
car.
The
thing
that
they
were
talking
about
is
there
are
not
many
accidents
for
them
to
have
traffic
lights
in
that
community.
There's
so
many
churin
in
that
community
that
cross
those
streets
to
take
the
school
buses
and
come
into
the
school
districts.
So
again,
you
know
why
are
we
not
serving
this
community
with
their
needs?
I've
been
a
residence
in
this
town
for
24
years,
I'm
just
driving
through
that
community.
G
There
is
no
the
landscaping,
the
street
lighting
into
entering
the
Jesse
James
or
Jesse
community
centered.
As
you
know,
it's
been
the
same
and
the
third
one
was
to
the
older
to
the
children
and
the
older
populations
in
this
community
receive
adequate
services
from
nonprofit
agency
and
government
agencies.
I
think
there's
a
big
gap
there
too,
and
I'm
going
to
start
working
on
making
this
conversation.
G
A
At
the
November
meeting
it
was
discussed
of
going
to
by
every
two
months
meeting.
They
were
meeting
monthly
but,
as
you
know,
with
the
reassignments
of
council
subcommittees
the
two
representative
council
representatives,
councilmember
Coors
and
Councilman
hosting.
They
have
not
yet
identified
a
schedule.
The
attention
has
been
given
to
the
point
in
time
count
which
is
January
23rd
and
there
are
orientation
training
meetings
that
are
scheduled
by
the
county
and
we've
listed
them
on
our
website.
A
So
if
there's
interested
parties,
they
first
need
to
register
to
participate
in
the
account,
and
at
that
point
they
would
be
notified
of
the
training
and
would
select
a
training.
If
one
has
participated
in
the
past,
there's
an
online
orientation,
it
would
be
sufficient
for
those
who
had
prior
experience
for
those
for
the
first
time
would
have
to
do
one
of
the
live
orientations
we
just
had
one
here
this
afternoon
at
City
Hall
in
the
council
chambers.
There
will
be
another.
A
A
B
So
during
this
section
of
the
external
committee
updates,
I've
asked
that
we
we
just
provide
updates
that
deal
with
a
Human,
Rights
Commission
related
issue
and
that
we
don't
necessarily
come
to
meeting
and
we
share
the
agenda
topics
and
items
and
issues
sample.
The
mainstream,
Main
Street
Palm
Springs
meeting
last
month
didn't
have
any
issues
of
a
human
rights
nature,
so
I'm
not
reporting
on
any
next
up
is
the
organized
neighborhoods
of
Palm
Springs,
one
PS
Commissioner
gross.
I
I
You
of
its
missions
will
have
a
all-day
retreat
on
January
27
found
that
so
I'm
not
gonna,
go
any
more
detail
on
all
of
that.
But
I
expect
that
there
will
be
some
bits
and
pieces,
though,
as
I
come
out
of
that.
I'll
certainly
report
anything
that
are
human
rights
related,
but
it
is
a
fairly
broad
sweep
if
anybody.
I
Fine
and
then,
secondly,
relating
to
the
Harvey
Milk
diversity,
breakfast
I
have
put
in
a
request
for
one
PS
to
sponsor.
We
did
it
informally
last
year,
but
this
year
there's
a
formal
process
for
events,
and
so
we're
we're
in
for
that
process.
We
don't
say:
I
have
a
decision
yet,
but
we're
in
the
process
for
sponsorship
via
one.
Yes,
it
gets
all
that
I
have.
That
is
relevant
excellent.
Thank
you
and.
I
They
absolutely
do
and
one
of
the
things
I
was
going
to
do
offline
with
jilsuk
of
it
just
be
sure
he
knows.
We
do
have
a
fairly
active
representative
islands
on
one
PS,
and
some
of
the
issues
that
come
through
that
channel
are
also
nothing
like
what
you're
hearing.
So
there
might
be
a
good
just
kind
of
one-on-one
connection,
who
is
the
rep
pixie
Miller?
One
of
my
one
PS
colleagues
is
here
today.
A
I
B
All
right,
excellent
next
external
group
was
the
Palm
Springs
Police
Department
LGBT
outreach
committee,
which
did
not
meet
in
December.
Their
next
meeting
is
coming
up
this
week,
Thursday
I
believe
we
move
into
the
next
section
any
news
where
the
items
that
the
commissioners
would
like
to
share.
Yes,.
B
Any
other
updates
items
of
interest
to
share
okay.
Next,
knowing
out
any
announcements
from
staff;
okay,
it
is
334
and
our
Commission
or
the
Human
Rights
Commission
will
adjourn
to
an
adjourned.
Regular
meeting,
Monday
February
12th
2018
at
3
p.m.
in
the
large
conference
room
city
hall
and
as
a
reminder,
not
here
in
Council
Chambers
excellent.
Thank
you
all.
