Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
B
A
Certainly,
member
thompson.
C
A
B
B
A
A
So
I
don't
think
we
have
anyone
who's
seeking
to
speak
at
this
time.
Mr
chair.
B
B
D
B
Dosey
I'm
moving
to
the
minutes
of
december
7th
2020.
I
will
be
abstaining
from
that
because
I
was
not
present,
as
will
john
mccoy.
Anybody
haven't
ch
sorry,
robert.
G
I
have
a
question
because
I
had
to
recuse
myself
on
item
three.
How
would
I
vote.
B
A
Yeah,
you
just
need
four
votes
tonight
for
each
of
these
items
we
got
4-0
on
november,
2nd.
So
on
december
7th
we
have
two
recusals,
which
is
the
chair.
Three.
A
Listed
confirmed
chair,
we
had
that
was
four
votes
in
favor
correct,
I'm
sorry
I
may
have
missed
the
vote.
B
B
Okay:
first
item
of
new
business
item
number
two
global:
go
llc
on
behalf
of
cali
bliss
for
a
minor
architectural
application
and
sign
permit
for
exterior
modifications
to
an
existing
building
for
a
new
cannabis,
dispensary
lounge
located
at
562,
south
palm
canyon
drive.
May
we
have
a
staff
report?
Please.
H
H
The
front
of
the
building
faces
south
palm-
I'm
sorry,
south
indian
canyon
drive
you'll
notice
that
the
exist.
This
is
the
existing
photo
of
the
building.
It
has
a
teal,
green
and
white,
exterior
with
small
diamond
shape,
indents
throughout
frosted
class
on
the
balcony
and
an
existing
awning.
That
is
in
good
condition.
H
The
exterior
I'm
sorry
the
applicant
is
proposing
to
add
a
new
front
glass
door,
three
new
accent
lights,
a
new
planter
on
the
west
side
of
the
building
and
a
main
and
a
new
main
sign.
They
also
plan
to
repaint
the
exterior
of
the
building
throughout.
H
H
H
Yes,
should
I
stop
sharing
my
screen,
I
should
leave
it
right
I'll
leave.
It.
B
Okay,
does
the
committee
have
any
questions
for
staff.
B
G
A
couple
of
questions,
the
first
one
is
on
sheet
a
1-1.
It
looks:
does
this
building
straddle
two
properties.
B
G
It
does
okay.
The
second
question
I
have
is
since
they're
re-striping
the
parking
do
they
are
they
addressing
any
shade
requirements
for
the
parking,
because
it
looks
like
the
existing
planting
areas,
which
would
be
on
the
east
and
north
sides?
Don't
really
have
any
trees,
it
looks
like
they're,
mostly
hedge.
C
G
I
guess
I'll
hold
this
for
the
applicant,
but
I'll
ask
you
anyway.
It
looks
like
from
the
rendering
and
from
the
existing
building
elevations
that
it's
it's
more
than
just
the
front
door,
that's
being
replaced
it.
It
looks
like
the
transom
is
much
shorter
in
their
renderings
and
their
drawings
versus
what
the
actual
building
has
do.
You
know.
Are
they
planning
to
replace
the
transom
as
well.
D
H
Well,
that
is
a
good
question.
We
can
definitely
direct
that
to
the
applicant
as
well
the
the
building,
so
the
second
story
has
always
been
residential
and
then
this
the
first
story's
been
vacant
for
some
time,
so
I'm
not
sure
how
they
addressed
it
in
the
past,
but
it
has
been
a
commercial
use,
I'm
sure
at
one
point,
but
we
can
ask
the
applicant
that.
B
Alex
I
have
a
question:
could
you
please
explain
to
us
what
a
distance
waiver
is?
It
says
here
that
the
city
council
approved
a
distance
waiver.
H
Yeah,
so
the
distance
weaver
is
required
for,
I
believe,
lounges
and
dispensaries
we
they
have
to.
If
there's
certain,
if
there's
too
many
lounges
or
dispensaries
within
one
area,
they
have
to
be
a
certain
distance
from
each
other,
so
they
they
had
to
go
through
this
process.
First,
because
I
believe,
there's
a
cannabis
business.
That's
been
approved
two
doors
to
the
north.
G
Yeah,
I
have
one
more,
I'm
sorry
sure.
Is
it
unusual
or
have?
Has
there
been
a
case
where
there's
been
residential
above
a
marijuana
dispensary,
because
I
know
even
with
the
filtration
systems
and
that
they
require
for
odor,
it
still
doesn't
kill
at
100.
C
H
That
was
definitely
a
concern.
I
believe
city
council
went
because
this
went
to
city
council
first,
they
reviewed
that
as
well,
and
I
I
think
they
liked
the
idea
of
residentials
just
remaining.
They
didn't
want
the
cannabis
business
to
remove
the
residential
aspect
of
the
building.
C
B
H
I
don't
have
information
on
it.
Maybe
the
applicant
can
explain.
B
I
Hi,
so
my
my
name
is
ivy
bader,
I
am
a
consultant
with
globalgo
and
I
am
representing
cali
bliss
tonight.
We
didn't
have
a
specific
presentation
in
mind,
but
I
will
talk
a
little
bit
about
the
concerns
that
you
have
with
with
this
project
and
provide
a
little
more
context,
a
little
more
color.
So
first
things.
First,
I
do
want
to
confirm
that
we
will
have
covered
trash
receptacles.
I
I
Another
thing
I
do
want
to
bring
up.
We
we
touched
on
the
the
waiver.
We
were
granted
a
waiver
approval,
meaning
that
there
is-
or
there
was,
a
concern
of
over
concentration
of
cannabis
businesses
in
the
area.
However,
council
did
decide
to
go
ahead
and
grant
us
our
waiver.
There
is
a
dispensary,
just
I
think,
two
two
doors
down
or
to
the
north
and
we
rented
the
waiver
pending
a
substantial,
exterior
renovations,
which
we
have
provided
in
the
applications
tonight.
I
Let's
see
what
else
was
there?
Yes,
during
the
city
council
meeting
that
covered
the
waiver,
we
did
talk
pretty
extensively
about
the
tenants
and
and
how
they
would
you
know,
live
above
this
dispensary
and
lounge.
So
first
things.
First,
we
were
granted
a
regulatory
permit
on
june,
4th
2019
and
part
of
that
regulatory
permit
requires
us
to
submit
a
mechanical
engineer
designed
odor
control
plan,
so
there
will
be
an
upgraded
hvac
system
as
well
as
significant
filtration
within
especially
the
lounge
area.
I
It's
going
to
have
a
big
can
fan
and
charcoal
filtrations,
and
also
the
air
will
be
filtered
before
it
is
vented
outside.
We
did
let
the
tenants
the
current
tenants
well
at
the
time
one
of
them
has
moved
out,
but
the
tenants
are
aware
that
there
will
be
a
dispensary
and
lounge
going
on
the
first
floor.
They
said
they
approve
of
it.
They
don't
have
any
issues
with
it.
I
They
don't
mind
the
smell
of
cannabis,
even
though
we
are
installing
a
brand
new
hvac
system,
and
they
also
did
both
sign
letters
of
support
that
were
included
with
the
staff
report
and
and
the
record
to
to
city
council.
Additionally,
we
did
do
a
lot
of
neighborhood
outreach
as
well,
because
there
are
some
residential
neighborhoods
directly
behind
this
this
strip,
and
so
we
went
knocking
door
to
door.
I
The
applicants
gave
a
copy
of
the
land
use,
review,
odor
control
plan
to
each
of
the
neighbors
that
that
we
talked
to
as
well
as
their
current
direct
lines
or
cell
phone
numbers.
So
in
case
there
are
ever
any
issues
of
odor.
You
know
trash
loitering,
anything
like
that.
The
neighbors
have
a
direct
line
to
the
owners
of
of
cali
bliss,
so
yeah
with
that
being
said,
are
there
any
other
questions
that
I
can
answer
for
you
tonight.
G
Yeah,
so
a
few
there
is
an
existing
meter
of
some
sort
in
the
front
of
the
building
right,
where
your
planter
is
going.
Do
you?
Where
are
you?
How
are
you
man?
How
are
you
handling
relocating
that.
I
So
it
will
likely
be
moved
to
the
back
of
the
building
where
the
meter
is
is
not
within
the
public
view.
So
that
way
we
haven't.
G
Okay,
and
as
long
as
we're
talking
about
the
front
of
the
building,
I
don't,
I
didn't
see
a
call
out
for
the
material
for
the
plants.
What
are
you
planning
to
use
for
the
facing
of
the
planter.
I
So
for
the
facing
of
the
planter,
it
is
some
kind
of
stone
it's
going
to
be
stones
that
are
neutral
in
color
that
fit
within
the
desert
theme.
G
Okay
and
on
the
accent
lights,
do
you
know
what
color
temperature
you're
going
to
be
using.
I
G
All
right
can
you
if,
if
your
customers
are
parking
in
the
back,
do
they
actually
walk
around
the
building
to
get
to
the
dispensary
or
do
they
walk
through
the
secured
lock
area
the
secured
vestibule
to
get
to
it.
G
Okay
and
then
the
last
question,
which
I'm
a
little,
which
I
I
raised
in
my
to
staff,
was
about
the
transom
windows
and
the
sign
so
from
the
origin
from
the
existing
building
photographs.
It
looks
like
that
transom
window
above
the
door
is
quite
taller
than
what
it
shows
in
your
renderings
and
it
looks
like
the
sign
actually
comes
down
over
it.
So
can
you
talk
to
me
a
little
bit
about?
I
Okay,
I
see
what
you're
saying
so.
The
the
sign
itself
will
be
about
a
foot
and
a
half
in
height.
So,
as
you
can
see
on
on
the
top
part
of
the
the
first
floor,
the
sign
will
come
down
about
a
foot
and
a
half
and
then
anything
below
that
will
be
window.
G
No
because
I
think
you're,
I
think
that
blue
band
is
actually
based
on
your
drawing,
is
like
two
foot:
nine
and
a
half
inches
high
and.
G
Okay,
and
the
sign
is
completely
the
blue
part-
is
complete,
sign
can,
and
so
it's
finished
on
the
underside
and
back.
I
G
B
I
have
a
question
on
the
detail
sheet.
It
shows
details
of
glass
block
is,
but
I
don't
see
any
on
the
plan
or
in
the
elevations
is
glass
block
being
used
here.
I
No,
no,
the
the
windows
will
be
open
and
clear
and
bright.
I
know
that
city
council
prefers
to
have
windows
of
any
buildings
that
are
downtown
to
be
bright
and
open,
especially
with
cannabis.
It's
so
important
to
bring
something
that
was,
you
know
traditionally,
a
gray
market
or
black
market,
I'm
really
up
to
the
white
market
and
to
make
it
a
normalized
business
and
make
it
welcoming
and
inviting
and
transparent.
B
And
my
understanding
is
that
council
you're,
correct,
wants
to
have
the
fronts
of
these
buildings
be
be
visible,
that
people
can
look
through,
but
but
that
you
cannot
see
the
actual
product,
that's
for
sale.
If
that's
true,
I
would
think
the
window
that's
to
the
right
of
the
door
as
we're
looking
at
the
elevation
would
need
to
be
obscure,
but
also,
as
you
look
into
the
waiting
area,
there's
a
glass
wall
between
the
waiting
area
and
the
sales
area.
B
I
So
I
believe
the
code
that
you're
referring
to
is
5.55.200
subsection
a17
of
the
cannabis
code,
and
I
have
talked
to
the
head
of
the
department
of
special
programs
which
covers
cannabis,
and
I
know
that
code
will
be
changing
to
allow
visibility
of
products
through
the
front
windows.
I
B
Okay,
thank
you
and
then.
Lastly,
the
exhaust
equipment.
I
B
I
So
the
air
will
be
filtered
on
the
inside
of
the
building,
I
believe
through
dampers,
and
then
they
will
be
exhausted
outside
of
the
building
and
there
are
exhausts
on
the
side
of
the
building
and
the
back
of
the
building.
B
Okay,
any
other
questions
from
the
committee.
D
Yes,
I
have
a
question
in
the
on
the
existing
pictures.
It
shows
asphalt
pavement
in
front
of
the
building,
but
it
appears
that
that
area
will
not
be
used
for
parking.
Is
that
correct.
D
And
is
there
a
new
material
proposed
for
that
area
that
will
define
some
type
of
walkway
or
entry
to
the
building
or
decorative
pavement
or
something
to
distinguish
it?
Because
there's
a
couple
looks
like
there's
a
couple
curb
just
to
something
to
show
that
people
won't
pull
up
in
park.
There.
I
Sure
sure
that's
a
valid
concern.
No,
we
we
have
not
proposed
any
pavement
treatment
or
upgrade,
although
I
do
believe
that
the
applicant
would
be
amenable
to
something
like
that.
C
B
B
Have
you
and
the
applicant
discussed
the
other
options
of
improving,
possibly
the
frosted
glass
handrail
upstairs
the
two
ends
of
the
building.
The
north
side
and
south
side
are
just
concrete
block.
That's
painted
there's
no
accent
or
detail
or
trellis.
I
think
we
need
to
do
more.
The
city
council
wants
this
to
be
a
significant
upgrade.
I
I
We
would
be
more
than
happy
to
do
some
kind
of
upgrade
an
accent
on
the
wall
to
the
left
there
we
will
be
upgrading
the
balcony
and
the
railing
as
you
can
see,
it's
a
much
brighter
right
white
in
the
renderings
versus
the
building
as
it
exists.
Currently
we
would
be
amenable
to
doing
more
details
along
the
right
side
of
the
building
as
well,
but
we
really
thought
that
this
was
elegant
and
classy
and
definitely
brings
the
old
building,
which
kind
of
has
a
sea
foam
green
color,
it's
very
outdated.
F
Can
you
tell
us
where
shade
trees
are
proposed
to
take
care
of
that
request?.
I
So
I
believe
the
the
shaded
trees
will
be
in
the
back
of
the
the
property
where
the
the
parking
is
so
currently
there's
a
lot
of
bushes
and
shrubbery,
and
what
we
would
be
doing
is
we
would
be
planting
trees
that
would
feed
on
to
the
people
back
there
who
would
be
parking
and
coming
into
the
building,
especially
during
the
summer
months.
F
Right,
we
see
an
existing,
we
have
an
existing
site
plan,
but
we
don't
have
anything
proposed
and
so
you're
saying
that
you
will
tear
plants
out
to
put
in
some
trees.
I
Yeah,
yes,
so
if,
if
you
can
see
the
the
site
planets,
there's
a
scenic
drive
right
there
on
on
the
south
side
of
the
property.
There
is,
if
I'm
not
mistaken,
there's
kind
of
like
a
planter,
and
it
goes
all
the
way
to
the
back
of
the
building.
I
think
that
would
be
a
great
spot
to
plant
trees,
as
well
as
towards
the
back
of
the
property,
where
you
see
the
new
ada
space
and
then
parking
spaces,
one
through
four.
C
F
E
Yeah
I
had
one
on
the
front
facade
that
the
there's
currently
textured
block
on
the
walls
is
that
intended
to
stay
in
the
renders
it
looks
smooth.
But
I
don't
know
if
you're
keeping
that
texture
block.
I
We
are
not
keeping
that
textured
block,
we
anticipated
making
it
smooth.
C
B
B
Okay
committee
members,
let's
discuss
and
see
where
we
are
with
this.
G
Tom
robert,
can
I
ask
the
applicant
to
another
question.
I
I'm
just
looking
at
a
photo
of
the
building
from
the
front
and
it
looks
like
they're
reducing
so
there's
the
the
balcony
on
the
second
floor
looks
like
it
projects
further
in
reality
than
what
it
does
in
the
rendering,
and
you
can
see
it
from
more
from
a
side
view
which
I'm
not
sure
you
can
see
it
on
the
ones
submitted.
G
I
Hi,
no,
we
would
not
be
cutting
anything
back.
The
the
existing
balcony
will
stay,
as
is
with
the
upgrades
that
are
good
in
the
renderings.
G
G
It
also
also,
in
the
same
view,
not
to
harp
on
this,
but
the
white
band
over
the
storefront
glass.
It
looks
like
finishes
flush
with
the
seafoam
green
block
again
and
then
in
their
rendering
that
white
band
and
where
the
sign
goes,
is
recess
back.
G
So
I'm
just
curious,
in
fact,
if
that
is
coming
forward
and
then
the
sign
projects
even
for
more
projects
in
front
of
the
block,
while
those
these
you
know.
I
D
I
have
a
couple
comments,
sure
tom,
on
sheet:
in
the
drawing
section
a2-3
it
it
calls
out
some
materials
on
the
on
the
elevation
or
facade
of
the
building
and
then
the
legend.
It's
called
out
0-2-0-2
and
it
says
cmu
wall
to
remain
so
I'm
confused
that
it's
where
it
says
it's
going
to
be
stuccoed
over
or
if
the
diamond
block
will
actually
remain
in
place.
D
I
I
agree
and
and
then
the
other
comment
I
think
that-
and
I
don't
know
if
planning
has
addressed
it.
But
when
you
look
at
the
site
photos,
it
seems
there's
an
opportunity
in
the
front
of
the
building
to
develop.
You
know
not
only
the
city
sidewalk,
you
know
to
be
continued
in
concrete
to
match
the
adjacent
city
sidewalks,
but
also
that
front
area,
since
it's
not
going
to
be
used
as
parking
to
have
a
better
defined
entry,
walk
additional
landscaping
and
pavement
leading
to
the
building.
E
You
have
anything,
no,
I
share
it.
I
mean
I
I
you
know,
I
I
like
the
the
diamond
pattern
on
the
block,
so
I
was
kind
of
sad
to
hear
that
was
not
considered
to
keep
you
know
it.
It
certainly
does
speak
to
the
period
that
the
building
was
built,
so
I
would
prefer
keeping
it,
and
I
agree
with
the
front
that
you
know
that
kind
of
asphalt
paved
section
is,
is
incongruent
with
the
rest
of
the
properties
around
it.
E
So
I
think
it
it
could
be
addressed
to
kind
of
kind
of
clean
this
property
up
and
more
and
get
it
more
well
integrated
with
the
rest
of
the
streetscape.
B
F
I
would
concur
with
previous
comments.
I
had
specifically
underlined
the
comment
that
you
brought
up
chair
jakeway
about
the
significant
upgrade
of
the
exterior
of
the
building.
I
don't
see
a
significant
improvement
in
paint,
job
and
and
awning
repairs
and
a
minor
planter.
So
I
think
there
is
definitely
opportunity
for
more
in
that
facade.
C
No,
I
think
everyone's
pretty
much
mentioned
what
I
feel
the
same
things,
but
I
would
like
to
see
the
diamonds
stay
on
the
block
in
the
front,
especially
on
the
taller
portion.
That
goes
up
above
the
second
floor.
I
think
it
looks
nice
right
there
yeah,
but
some
other
kind
of
flower
bed
there
or
something
in
the
front,
a
planter
on
the
other
side
in
front
of
the
glass
just
to
break
up.
All
that
asphalt
would
be
a
really
nice
addition
to
the
building.
G
A
couple
things
one
I'm
a
little
concerned.
I
I'm
in
agreement
about
the
diamond
pattern
on
the
on
the
facade,
as
well
as
the
enhanced,
paving
or
improved
paving
in
front
of
the
building.
I
have
some
concerns
that
they
do
number
one
replace
or
repair
the
awning
and
as
well
as
the
privacy
screen
between
the
units
on
the
second
floor.
That
currently
is
just
a
curtain
of
some
sort
and
it's
half
falling
off
the
track.
G
I'd
like
to
see
something
more
permanent
that
maybe
picks
up
the
diamond
pattern
or
is
in
the
motif
of
the
of
the
building
the
architecture
of
the
building.
I
also
have
some
concerns
that
the
renderings
and
the
real
building
aren't
exactly
the
same,
and
I
like
I'm
a
little
concerned
that
the
new
sign
band
is
going
to
end
up
projecting
beyond
the
face
of
the
building.
G
I
think
I
think
they
should
work
out
something
that
maybe
the
sign
sits
below
the
white
band
over
the
storefront
and
they
keep
that
white.
Keep
it
as
flush
as
possible
unless,
unless
they're
able
to
recess,
which
I
have
a
feeling
there
might
be
a
beam
running
through
there,
and
they
can't
do
that.
But
I
really
don't
want
to
see
a
can.
G
That's
I
don't
know
how
many
feet
long
by
30,
one
inches
tall
sticking
on
top
of
the
building.
I
don't
think
that
will
be
a
benefit
to
the
building.
B
B
B
The
other
comment
I
would
make
is,
I
think,
the
the
main
upgrade
to
me
that
this
building
needs
is
a
new
balcony
rail.
It
looks
like
a
shower
enclosure
to
me
and
I
think
if
there
was
something
that
had
some
design
element
in
it
and
it
might
even
instead
of
sitting
on
top
of
the
balcony,
it
might
be
mounted
on
the
face
of
the
fascia
of
the
balcony,
so
it
kind
of
envelops
that
whole
thing,
so
it
becomes
one
pretty
significant
element
that
wraps
that
second
floor
of
the
building.
B
Okay,
if
nobody
else
has
any
comments,
does
anybody
have
a
motion
and
we're
doing
two
things
today
that
we
are
talking
about
approving
the
signage
and
approving
the
architectural
revisions
to
the
building.
G
Well,
I'll
hazard,
a
motion
motion
I'll
move
to
well,
you
know,
let
me
let
me
say:
I'd
like
to
I'd
like
to
have
them
come
back,
especially
with
the
building
improvements.
I
would
agree
with
you
tom
that
the
railing
needs
to
be
addressed.
I
think
the
signage
band
and
the
fascia
above
the
storefront
needs
to
be
addressed.
G
We
need
better
information
and
detail,
and
so
and
we
need
to
see
what
the
materials
are
for
the
planter
and
we
need
to
see
what
kind
of
plant
material
they're
planning
for
the
parking
area
as
well
as
the
planter.
So,
given
those
given
those
issues,
I
think
it
I'd
like
to
see
this
project
come
back,
and
so
I
will
make
a
motion
to
deny
and
and
with
those
with
those
comments
made.
B
Dan
seconds,
all
in
favor
any
opposed.
G
B
J
Thank
you
chair.
Let
me
get
the
slides
here
to
come
up.
B
J
So
this
is
an
application
for
cannabis,
dispensary
and
lounge.
What
is
before
you
today
is
a
sign
program
that
will,
as
the
aac
reviews
the
project
it
will
be
forwarded
to
the
planning
commission.
So
as
the
similar
to
the
previous
application,
the
bank
located
296
south
palm
canyon
drive
is
much
farther
along
in
its
design
and
in
construction
than
the
previous
application.
So
they
have
gone
to
the
to
the
city.
J
Council
received
all
their
approvals
as
far
as
the
regulatory
permits
and
also
the
distance
waiver
to
another
cannabis
dispensary.
So
what's
before
you
today
is
just
the
sign
program,
so
the
bank
building
at
296..
This
is
a
a
a
picture
of
what
it
looks
like.
Currently,
the
the
building
was
constructed
in
1971
and
it
has
not
been
altered
since
that
time.
J
There's
no
proposals
to
change
the
exterior,
as
it
will
remain
these
brick
pillars
that
are
on
both
sides
of
the
of
the
front
entrance,
and
this
is
the
palm
canyon
entrance
itself.
J
So
the
main
proposal
is
to
have
a
sign
with
letter
heights
of
19,
inches,
19.5,
inches
and
then
tenant
signs
of
letter
heights
of
of
20
inches.
So
the
reason
why
we're
here
for
a
sign
program
is
that
there'll
be
multiple
tenants
within
the
building
itself
and
that
allows
them
to
come
in
and
ask
for
deviations
from
the
sign
code
and
the
the
deviations
from
the
sign
code
are
for
the
letter
heights.
J
So
the
two
main
signs
which
are
circular
signs
are
under
the
50
square
feet,
so
they
are
permitted
by
the
code.
What's
not
permitted
by
the
code
is
the
letters
of
the
bank
itself.
J
So,
as
I
mentioned,
this
is
the
sign
itself.
It
is
circular
it's
less
than
50
square
feet
and
the
the
word
the
bank
is
what's
in
question,
so
the
sign
is
a
placard
with
push-through
letters
that
will
light
up.
J
So
the
sign
program
provides
guidelines
as
to
the
sign
type,
which
can
be
a
halo,
a
backlit,
reverse
channel,
lit
and
then
the
length,
so
the
sign
won't
be
any
larger
than
the
36
square.
I'm
sorry
the
the
15.5
square
feet
for
each
tenant
sign.
Now
the
tenant
signs
could
be
individual
business
logos.
They
won't
always
look
the
exact
font
as
this
is
presented,
but
in
the
sign
program
book
that
was
provided
to
you
you'll
see,
there
are
different
styles
of
signs
that
these
tenant
signs
could
possibly
be.
J
J
This
is
the
side
of
the
building,
so
the
this
is
the
side
that
faces
barista,
so
there'll
be
the
the
circular
sign
and
then
the
tenant
signs
underneath
it,
and
then
this
is
the
barista
side
and
once
again
where
this
tree
is
that's
where
the
signs
will
be
the
tenant
sign
and
the
main
sign
so
chair.
That
concludes
my
report.
The
applicant
is
here:
if
there's
any
questions
about
the
proposal.
B
B
G
Yeah
glenn:
can
you
I'm
a
little
confused
on
the
amount
of
square
footage
allowed
on
the
baristo
side
and
the
number
of
signs
so
they're
proposing
three
tenant
signs,
each
that
are
20
inches
by
112
inches
long,
which
is
15.5
square
feet
so
with
three
of
them?
That
puts
it
at
46.5
square
feet,
plus
the
36
square
feet
they're
proposing
for
the
bank
sign
so
we're
at
82
and
a
half
square
feet
of
signage
on
that
side.
Is
that
within
the
code.
J
The
total
signage
is
not
that
is
they're
allowed
to
ask
as
a
sign
program,
to
ask
for
deviations,
and
this
allows
them
to
identify
signs
within
the
building.
So
sometimes
you'll
see
a
sign
program
that
has
a
monument
sign
or
has
other
signs
directional
signs,
they're,
not
asking
for
any
of
that,
so
they're
they're,
just
asking
for
the
tenant
signs
on
the
side
of
the
building.
So,
as
you
mentioned,
the
sign
pro,
the
sign
guidelines
for
downtown
would
not
allow
this
much
signage.
D
Glenn,
I
have
a
question
so
any
of
the
other
improvements
proposed
for
this
building.
Were
they
already
approved,
or
is
this
just
a
sign
and
other
items
may
come
back
to
us.
J
This
is
only
for
the
sign,
so
I
know
there's
been,
there
may
be
questions
about.
There's
duct
work,
that's
on
the
exterior
of
the
building.
There
are
signs
in
the
window
right
now
that
are
not
permitted
and
the
applicant
may
want
to
address
those,
but
this
is
what's
before
you
today.
That
will
go
to
the
planning
commission,
okay,.
D
And
are
we
with
this?
I
mean
there's
some
large,
you
know
planter
boxes,
there
was
an
old
fountain,
some
other
would
those
be
separate
items
for
us
to
request
or
with.
G
B
J
Right
so
the
as
we
discussed
in
the
earlier
project
you'll
have
to
be
able
to
see
into
the
building
so
that
will
have
to
be
removed.
There
are,
there
are
obviously
under
construction,
and
you
know
that
that's
there
to
sure
keep
you
from
seeing
so
the
applicant.
She
may
be
able
to
answer
that
better
than
I.
J
When
the
sign
code
allows
multiple
street
frontages
to
have
signage,
so
the
the
round
circle
bank
sign
would
be
permitted
sign
on
that.
On
that
front,
the
tenant
signs
would
not
they
they're
actually
asking
for
them,
and
they
may
be
able
to
describe
as
to
why
they
are
asking
for
for
these
tenant
signs.
On
this
face
of
the
building.
B
Okay,
thanks
we'll
we'll
ask
the
applicant:
did
robert
have
a
question
yeah.
G
I
have
one
more
question
for
glenn
sorry,
so
you
know
they've
airbrushed
out
the
tree
on
the
barista
side
and
I'm
just
curious.
Some
of
those
planters
both
on
palm
canyon
and
baristo,
the
trees
have
either
drop,
died
or
been
removed.
J
So
the
project
has
been
to
the
city
council
already
and
at
that
time-
and
I
don't
know
the
the
overall
conditions
of
approval
for
the
the
project
was
handled
by
principal
planner
roberts
robertson.
So
there
may
be
some
other
landscaping
that
needs
to
be
added
as
a
condition.
I'm
not
aware
of
it
right
now.
K
Hi,
I'm
julie,
montante,
owner
of
psa,
organica,
okay,
hello.
So,
to
address
your
questions,
all
the
planters
have
been
ripped
out
and
re-irrigated
we're
planting
new
trees
this
week,
all
the
way
around
the
building
and
all
the
planters
we
also
the
water
feature-
has
been
remodeled
and
redone
as
we
speak
and
we
have
the
new
fountains
inside
the
building.
K
K
I
don't
know
if
any
of
you
have
seen
the
magazine,
we
have
constructed
the
outside.
We've
done.
You
know
some
some
texturing
to
it
in
a
cannabis,
lounge
the
large
states
and
requires
that
you
have
to
have
covered
windows.
K
So
I
don't
know
about
the
last
applicant
that
you
were
talking
to,
but
those
windows
have
to
be
covered
if
she
is
a
lounge,
that's
the
that's
the
rules
in
the
cannabis.
You
know
the
rules
that
we
have
to
go
by
all
cannabis.
Lounge
have
to
be
cut.
The
windows
have
to
be
covered,
so
there
is
no
see-through
at
all.
B
K
It's
on
the
sides
of
the
it's
on
the
side.
The
dispensaries
part
is
in
the
middle
and
the
lounge
part
are
on
the
sides
and
the
robot
hands
for
making
smoothies
is
off
to
the
left
as
well.
K
We
actually
also
have
a
vault
in
there
and
that
will
be
used
for
entertainment
once
we're
allowed
to
get
back
to
that
again,
so
we're
changing
pretty
much
the
style
of
dispensaries
and
we're
upgrading
and
classy
we're
trying
to
get
it
classy
so
that,
basically,
everyone
can
come
in
and
enjoy
a
mixture
of
people
when
the
time
prefers,
and
we
also
will
have
entertainment
when
the
time
prefers-
and
we
do
have.
K
B
K
And
the
reason
for
the
the
bank
symbol
is
actually
we
didn't
change,
because
it
was
a
bank
that
we
kept
the
structure.
The
bones
were
great
on
the
inside.
The
bank
logo
is
actually
a
coin,
looks
like
a
coin,
so
we
were
going
to
put
that
our
walls,
jack.
Are
you
there.
L
K
So
the
little
signs
kind
of
don't
work.
We
just
asked
for
two
more
feet
on
the
signage
and
on
the
side.
Barista
goes
both
ways,
so
basically
everyone
will
see
that
corner,
especially
with
the
kind
of
we're
putting
in
very
expensive
palm
trees
and
lighting
and
the
and
the
emblems
or
the
logos
will
have
lighting
as
well.
So
it's
going
to
be
quite
beautiful
by
the
time
it's
done.
B
G
So
if
I
understand
the
bank
first
of
all,
I've
seen
photos
of
the
inside,
it
looks
great.
I
want
to
commend
you
julie,
I
also
like
the
design
of
the
logo.
I
just
want
a
little
clarity
as
I'm
looking
at
the
section.
The
coin
part
of
it
is
flat
against
the
building
and
the
420
and
bank
are
raised.
Letters
that
are
both
halo
and
front
lit
is
that
right.
G
Got
it
okay,
great
so,
on
the
palm
canyon
side,
it
looks
like
there's
either
an
alarm
box
or
a
light
fixture
or
something
pretty
there
you
go.
What
is
that?
Is
that
a
bench?
I
don't
know
what
that
is,
but
what
are
you
gonna
do
with
that?.
L
That's
actually,
I
believe
it's
a
light
box
and
that'll
be
it'll
cover
that.
G
K
They,
basically,
you
know,
we
have
elevators
and
we
also
have
staircases,
but
we
don't
intend
to
have
tenants
right
away.
G
All
right,
all
right,
that's
all
I
have
for
now.
Thank
you.
B
I
just
want
to
make
a
comment.
I'm
really
pleased
to
hear
that
you're
going
to
be
installing
that
landscaping
and
rejuvenating
the
fountain.
You
know
this
building
has
been
an
eyesore
for
a
long
long
time,
so
it'll
be
really
great
to
have
it
refreshed
and
become
an
important
part
of
downtown.
K
Thank
you
very
much
it.
It
was
closed.
I
believe,
23
years
wow
we
have
beautiful
swarovski
crystal
chandeliers,
so
when
we
open
you'll
be
quite,
I
think
the
city
will
be
quite
pleased
and
honored
to
have
us
on
palm
canyon.
G
K
They
will
start
off
probably
about
five
feet
and
they
have
a
nice
expand
on
them.
They
have
a
nice,
you
know
like
they
expand
nicely.
They
look
like
fans,
I
can
send
a
picture
to
you
or
you
can
look
up
blue
palm.
K
Nope
we're
doing
all
the
way
down
barristo
and
then
we're
putting
firecrackers
around
them
and
then
we're
putting
color
so
it'll
be
a
very
beautiful
corner.
K
K
G
Okay,
so
do
you
have
have
you
submitted
a
planting
plan
already
for
review
or
what's
that.
G
It
has
okay,
so
whatever
you're
planting
there
is
not
going
to
block
your
signage
on
the
barista
face.
Is
that
right.
K
No
I'd
actually
love
to
put
two
logo
signs
one
on
each
wall
for
the
front.
That's
what
I
would
really
like,
but
no
not
really.
I
don't
think
we
want
to
mess
up
the
front
like
that,
because
we
have
beautiful
lighting
coming
as
well.
L
I
believe
also
the
tenants
that
are
that
will
be
inside
the
building
would
be
more
secondary
and
it
wasn't
meant
to
give
them.
You
know
main
main
frontage,
so
to
speak,
and
it
also
is
an
accent
to
the
secondary
sign,
which
is
much
smaller
on
the
barista
side
for
the
bank.
L
J
So
chair
jack
wade,
they
they
do
have
additional
signage,
that
they
will
be
able
to
add
by
the
sign
code.
So
they
can
do
a
blade
sign.
It's
not
shown
here,
because
it
would
be
something
that
would
be
approved
at
staff
level
and
also
they
could
do
the
a-frame
portable
signs
on
the
sidewalk
that
all
downtown
businesses
can
have.
D
Tom
the
sign
itself,
the
circular
part
of
it.
What
does
that
look
like
from
say?
D
L
L
E
So
my
final
question,
I
think,
is
just
about
the
tenant
signs.
What's
the
reason
for
trying
to
get
an
accept
an
exception
for
the
increased
height
of
those
tenant
signs
when
it
seems
like
that's
kind
of
a
secondary
purpose
for
the
building.
K
Oh,
we
have
name
brands
of
different
people
that
want
to
come
in
and,
let's
say
we're.
Gonna
have
a
computer
area
where
people
can
come
in
and
use
the
computer.
K
When
we
have
entertainment
we're
going
to
be
able
to
put
you
know,
we're
going
to
open,
hopefully
with
steven
tyler
when
times
get
better
and
we're
going
to
have
a
nice
little
show.
You
know
just
something
that
people
can
look
at
and
look
forward
to.
You
know.
Entertainment
has
died
in
our
desert.
So
as
soon
as
it
comes
back,
we
want
to
be
able
to.
You
know,
engage
in
that.
J
J
So
the
the
20
inches
we
discussed
other
signage,
that's
in
the
downtown
project,
and
that
was
one
of
your
reasons
why
you
wanted
these
letters
as
tall?
Is
that
right.
K
L
Well,
based
on
our
discussions,
I
mean
the
the
increase
in
signage
and
in
footprint
is
one.
The
wall
is
massive,
so
the
smaller
the
sign
it
kind
of
gets
lost
because
the
wall
is
so
big
on
top
of
it
and
talking
to
julie,
she
wanted
to
maximize
the
size
so
that
it
it'll
attract
a
better
tenant
or
it's
a
great
way
in
terms
of
leasing
options
when
you're
mentioning
the
type
of
sign
that
they're
allowed
on
the
building
and
where
it's
going
and
not
being
so
small
on
a
wall.
L
That's
so
big
when
we
looked
at
it
and
you
made
such
a
smaller
sign
and
you
have
an
18
footer,
almost
20
feet
wide
having
a
small,
you
know,
eight
or
seven
foot
wide
sign,
really
kind
of
dwarfed,
the
way
it
looked
on
the
wall
and
it
wasn't
very
attractive.
So
to
speak
more
of
an
afterthought
than
actually
the
way
it
should
have
looked
on
a
building
that,
with
that
side
of
a
wall.
C
Okay,
I
have
another
question
in
it.
Maybe
I
didn't
understand
what
julie
was
saying,
but
again
I
think
the
question
was
is
that
the
tenant
signs
were
going
to
be
for
tenants
that
are
moving
into
the
building
like
a
coffee
shop
or
something
like
that.
But
then,
when
she
mentioned
steven
tyler
coming
in
to
do
a
show,
it
made
me
think,
are
you
trying?
Are
you
going
to
be
switching
out
these
for
venues
that
are
happening
there,
or
is
it
going
to
be
set
to
a
particular
vendor?
That's
in
this
in
the
building.
B
My
concern
is
that,
as
we
look
at
the
three
tenant
signs
in
the
presentation
here,
they're
all
exactly
the
same
size,
the
same
length,
the
same
height
and
it
has
a
nice
organization
to
it.
If
we
end
up
with
three
different
tenants
or
each
one
has
a
different
logo
wants
a
different
letter
style
wants
different
colors.
Are
we
suddenly
going
to
end
up
with
a
wall?
That's
really
just
a
jumble
of
different
things
that
don't
have
the
clean
lines
and
organization
that
we're
looking
at
now.
K
So
they're
all
going
to
stay
the
same.
We
like
class
and
I
think,
as
you
can
see,
with
the
with
the
design,
I
think
that
we
basically
show
class
and
we're
not
going
to
do
anything.
That's
not
classy,
so
it
will
stay
the
way.
It'll
stay
all
uniforms.
B
J
Chair
I
want
to,
I
want
to
ask
the
applicant
to
clarify
so
in
in
the
package
that
to
the
planning
department,
there
are
multiple
signed
designs,
samples,
some
that
are
halo,
lit
some
that
are
duel
it
and
then
the
the
logo
of
the
business
would
be
used.
So
I
think
you
need
to
clarify,
because
that's
not
what
what
you're
asking
for
what
you
just
mentioned.
L
Well,
based
on
our
conversations,
I'm
I'm,
we
can
make
it
either
way
if
julie's
decided
to
go
with
just
the
same
name
and
font,
we
can
easily.
You
know,
make
that
a
quick
addition
or
alteration
inside
the
sign
program
that
it
will
stick
with
this
font.
We
can
call
out
the
font
name
and
and
size
and
go
away
from
the
you
know
the
uniqueness
and
allow
the
tenant
to
have
their
own
logo
or
what
have
you
if
it's
just
going
to
be
this
way,
that's
fine
by
us
apple
gets
called
on
ours.
J
Right
so
chair
you
could
you
could
recommend
it,
make
a
recommendation
to
the
planning
commission
that
they
use.
You
know
an
aerial
font
or
times
roman
font
and
it'd
all
be
consistent
and
at
the
same
length
of
112
inches
by
20.
Yes,
you
could
do
that.
Yeah.
B
You
know
my
concern,
glenn
is
when
we
look
at
page
11
of
your
staff
report
and
they're
showing
four
different
signs.
I
would
hate
to
see
four
different
signs
like
that
all
stacked
on
top
of
each
other
on
this
wall.
So
to
ask
for
the
consistency
of
the
lettering
style,
they
can
choose
the
style,
but
just
be
consistent
for
all
three
signs.
K
L
L
L
B
G
Robert
yeah
one
more
clarification
because
I
in
this
I
in
the
staff
report
on
page
four,
it
says:
talks
about
the
tenant
signs
being
20
inches,
a
height
of
20,
inches
and
12
feet
long
and
in
the
diagram
on
the
next
page.
They
are
112
inches
long
so
and
then
I
just
heard
jack
river
say,
make
it
sort
of
say,
12
feet
and
then
120
112..
So
I'm
I'm.
I
really
want
to
know.
J
Okay,
so
we'll
make
sure
that
the
the
the
exhibits
are
correct.
C
F
One
last
question
something
that
robert
addressed
on
the
west
elevation:
the
sign
the
fixture
in
the
middle
of
the
wall,
that
you
said
it
was
covering
in
the
page
15.
It
shows
the
sign
and
that
fixture
is
specifically
above
the
sign.
F
We
have
a
dual
lit
sign
and
then
we
also
have
what
looks
like
lighting
up
on
the
roof.
Is
that
lighting
on
the
roof?
Staying?
Is
that
another
source
of
lighting
for
the
sign.
F
J
L
Correct
that
yeah-
and
these
are-
we
just
need
to
update
these.
Originally
they
wanted
underneath
and
they
decided
to
cover
it,
and
we
realized
that
was
a
lighting
source
that
we
were
going
to
be
able
to
use.
So
all
we
have
to
do
is
update
it
and
move
it
up
to
cover
that
that
piece,
I'm
not
sure
what
the
lighting
is
on
top,
I'm
not
familiar
with
those.
D
Okay,
I
understand
the
sign
and
I
see
where
it's
going
everything
I
just
feel
like
when
I
look
at
the
elevation
of
the
building
that,
if
that
same
graphic
and
symbol
had
a
rectangular
or
square
frame
or
something
around
it,
that
I
feel
when
I
look
at
it
now,
it's
just
kind
of
applied
and
I'm
trying
to
think
of
a
way
to
give
it
a
sense
that
it
is
more
integrated
into
those
large
columns.
Those
brick
columns
that
it's
sitting
on
that's
just
a
comment.
B
C
B
D
Exactly
that,
just
something
to
give
it's,
so
it's
not
like
a
applique
or
something.
E
L
L
K
G
No,
no
it's
discussion,
so
this
is
so
I
don't.
I
I'm
fine
with
the
logo
on
the
palm
canyon
side,
I'm
having
a
little
problem
with
the
whole
assemblage
of
signage
on
the
baristo
sign
and
the
scale
of
it.
All.
I
don't
mind
the
reduced
six
foot
diameter
of
the
bank,
but
I
I
also
I
feel
like
the
ten.
G
The
three
tenant
signs
are
really
kind
of
heavy
and
I
think
scaling
them
down
a
little
bit
probably
would
help,
and
I
don't
know
whether
it's
just
a
graphic
thing
that
I'm
seeing
that
they're
so
close
together.
That
makes
it
feel
so
heavy,
but
it
just
it
doesn't
feel
comfortable,
and
it
just
feels
like
that
whole
side
elevation
is
just
going
to
be
this
giant
billboard
of
signs.
L
L
So
when
we
scale
them
down,
it
almost
becomes,
and
our
view
was
that
would
be
really
small
and
look
almost
like
an
afterthought,
because
they're
going
to
be
a
little
dot
on
a
18
or
20
foot
wide
by
38
foot
tall
38
feet.
Excuse
me
tall
building,
so
we
didn't
want
it
to
be
where
they
get
lost
on
such
a
big,
huge
facade.
So
that
was
our
our
process
and
thought.
F
Yes,
I
concur
with
what
robert
was
saying
about
the
scale
these,
if
he's
at
the
photo,
the
round
portion
of
it
is
up
at
the
roof
line.
The
tenant
signs
are
above
the
second
floor,
and
it
just
this
feels
like
it's
set
up
to
be
viewed
from
a
transit
corridor.
F
Does
there's
no
sense
of
place
on
that
corner,
there's
no
feeling
of
if
you're
walking,
along
and
looking
for
a
secondary
tenant.
You're.
Looking
up
you
know
across
the
street,
we've
got
museum
sort
of
our
culture
and
historical
landmarks
that,
as
you
stand
in
that
museum
looking
out
the
glass
you've
got
these
huge
signs
across
the
street
this.
What
we
want
to
develop
this
corner
into.
G
That
well,
here's
here's,
my
thinking
that
wall
is
18
feet
across
and
john.
I
think
your
point
is
well
made
that
it's
it's
it's
it's
high
and
I
think
it
really
could
benefit
by
lowering
them.
G
But
those
tenant
signs
are
112
inches
wide,
which
is
like
nine
feet,
four
inches,
and
I
think
if
we
were
to
scale
which,
which
leaves
about
under
four
and
a
half
feet
on
each
side
of
the
sign,
if
they're
centered,
I
think
if
we
scaled
them
down
to
like
96
inches
wide,
then
we'd
have
five
feet,
which
is
not
not
that
big
a
difference,
but
it
may
help
significantly
and
and
and
equally,
and
I'm
not
sure
whether
we
need
to
scale
the
height
of
it
down
or
not.
G
G
So
I
think
something
I
think
something
needs
to
change
on
the
baristo
signage.
B
K
F
What
can
you,
what
is
what
is
that
note?
What
are
those
changes
just
size
or
are
we
bringing
them
reducing.
J
Chair,
what
about
the
font
or.
B
C
B
L
B
C
B
K
L
B
Okay,
that
is
our
final
agenda
item,
or
do
we
have
any
just
general
comments
from
any
members
of
the
committee.
A
No,
nothing
really
just
that.
I
know
origins
have
been
somewhat
light
recently,
but
it
looks
like
at
our
next
meeting.
We've
got
tentatively
five
items,
so
we'll
be
a
little
busier
next
time.
