A
A
A
You
it
is
time
for
public
comment.
This
time
has
been
set
aside
for
members
of
the
public
to
address
parks
and
recs
Commission
on
agenda
items
and
items
of
general
interest
within
the
subject
matter:
jurisdiction
of
the
Commission.
Although
the
Commission
values
your
comments
pursuant
to
the
Brown
Act,
it
generally
cannot
take
any
action
on
items
not
listed
on
the
posted
agenda.
Each
speaker
will
have
three
minutes
and
can
sit
just
across
from
me.
Make
sure
that
you
turn
your
the
mic
on
before
you
speak.
Please
step
forward
if
you're
interested
in
speaking.
F
My
name
is
McGarvey
Crawford,
jr.
and
I'm.
A
local
resident
and
I
live
in
the
desert
highland
community,
and
this
is
in
regards
to
pretty
much
I,
know.
I,
don't
know
if
you
guys
know,
but
would
it
rained
heavy
the
park
got
rained
out
and
flooded
and
we're
pretty
much
due
for
a
new
park
and
a
new
building
and
some
facilities.
We
would
like
to
do
more
than
just
have
a
part
we
would
like
to
have
educational
stuff
vocational
stuff.
F
So
let
me
just
read
this
real
quick
as
a
resident
of
the
desert,
Highland
Gateway
community
I
would
like
to
know
if
the
Quimby
fees
from
the
Maryland
project
and
other
new
housing
projects
in
the
area
have
been
collected.
I
would
like
to
know
the
amount
of
these
fees
how
to
access
these
fees.
Have
any
of
these
fees
been
put
aside
for
a
James
old,
Jesse
unity?
Center?
How
will
these
fees?
F
How
will
these
funds
be
used,
and
when
is
the
public
hearing
about
the
use
of
these
funds
in
accordance
with
a
be
1359,
the
Quimby
Act
use
of
fees?
Please
advise
me
if
this
letter
is
the
appropriate
way
to
request
information
regarding
these
funds
and
how
James
old,
Jesse
Park
can
access
them.
Thank
you.
Thank
you
very
much.
G
Hi
Michelle
Johnson
Palm
Springs
I'd
like
to
know
why
the
lights
into
muth
Park
are
on
all
the
time.
My
husband's
come
back
from
LA
at
3
o'clock.
The
morning
they've
still
been
on,
the
lights
are
on
when
it's
raining.
When
nobody's
there
last
a
couple
weeks,
I've
seen
them
on
until
the
daytime.
In
some
of
the
fields,
I
mean
I,
don't
they've
been
on
24
hours
or
just
during
the
day
too,
but
I
mean
it's
ridiculous.
G
I'm,
a
tennis
courts
they're
on
till
1
2
o'clock
in
the
morning
and
no
one's
there,
every
court
off
of
her
plate.
It
has
this
little
thing
called
a
timer
that
you
turn
on
when
you
want
to
use
the
lights
instead
of
running
them
all
the
time-
and
this
is
just
one
Park
in
the
city-
how
much
energy
are
wasting
doing
all
this
all
the
time?
Oh
and
also
I'm,
coming
up
mesquite
from
el
cielo.
Can
the
lights
be
turned,
so
they
shine
into
the
park
and
not
into
the
neighborhood
and
not
in
your
face.
G
C
Hello,
I'm
Lou
Stewart
from
district
2
in
Palm,
Springs
and
I'm,
just
following
up
on
my
friend,
Matt
Crawford's
comments.
I
understand
that
you
probably
have
limited
authority
and
establishing
a
new
park,
but
I
think
at
some
point.
Maybe
we'll
come
back
to
you
and
ask
you
for
a
resolution
supporting
the
establishment
of
a
new
park.
C
My
experience
has
been
that
the
Quimby
funds
have
already
probably
been
waived
for
this
project
and
in
return
for
a
memorandum
of
understanding
allowing
access
to
the
facilities
to
the
community,
but
we'll
look
more
deeply
into
that.
We'll
do
a
document
request
and
find
out
exactly
if
that
Memorandum
of
Understanding
on
does
exist
and
at
some
point
we
may
come
back
to
you
and
just
ask
for
your
recommendation
of
a
new
park
being
developed.
Thank
you.
Thank
you
very
much.
C
If
there's
issues
that
need
to
be
addressed,
perhaps
it
can
be
done
through
the
locker
room
changes
that
were
discussed
at
a
Saturday
meeting
and
the
possible
closure
of
Sundays
was
really
met
with
strong
negative
reaction
movement
when
I
spoke
to
a
or
a
city
that
gets
up
to
120
degrees.
If
someone
comes
for
a
weekend,
there's
no
public
pool
it's
it's,
not
very
good
PR
for
our
city.
Thank
you.
Thank.
A
B
A
Guess
I
can
comment
on
that.
My
only
sadness
is
that
in
fact
it's
so
much
longer
than
was
originally
estimated,
and
we
had
requested
that
the
developer
grass,
the
area
and
water
it
so
that
it
could
be
used
for
public
occupancy
during
this
ugly
time
that
it's
just
been
dirt,
and
we
were
assured
by
the
self
committee
that
it
was
going
to
be
a
much
shorter
time
before
breaking
ground.
A
Okay,
thank
you
very
much.
We
do
want
to
move
forward
through.
We've
got
several
items
on
the
discussion
and
action
topics
today,
so
in
respectful
being
respectful
of
our
time,
I
will
try
to
move
through
them
quickly
and
try
to
get
us
moved
on
the
discussions.
But
but
let's
do
our
full
discussion.
Let's
not
feel
too
pressured
to
move
too
quickly
without
getting
things
said.
Discussion
on
the
ad
hoc
committees
recommendation
for
director
Schaffer
for
the
DeMuth
dog
park
for
some
reason,
I
thought
director
Schaffer
was
gonna,
be
here
today.
E
A
D
D
So
Commissioner
Goodman
and
myself,
as
well
as
Cynthia,
was
in
the
background
and
less
as
well,
but
we
had
a
committee
meeting
over
at
the
leisure
center,
seven
well
7:45
8
a.m.
on
Saturday
to
meet
with
the
pool
community,
and
we
just
we
had
someone.
This
gentleman
here
was
there
in
attendance.
We
had
several
people,
I,
don't
know
what
would
you
say,
maybe
25
about
20
folks
that
came
to
speak
about
it.
D
First
of
all,
they
were
confused
because
the
signs
supposed
to
just
say,
hey
were
having
this
meeting
and
they
felt
like
it
was
kind
of
kognito
as
to
like
we
were
doing
something,
but
once
we
cleared
it
up
with
them
that
we
were
just
trying
to
get
their
input
on
possible
suggestions
to
the
Swim
Center
and
issues
that
have
arisen.
One
of
the
things
on
the
agenda
was
discussing
closing
the
pool
for
Sunday's
I'm
sure
to
keep
costs
down.
That
was
one
of
the
the
items
brought
forth,
which
I
would
say.
D
The
majority
of
the
people
in
the
room
were
like.
Oh,
don't
close
the
pool
on
Sundays
please.
We
also
had
a
discussion
around
separating
swim
hours.
So
one
of
the
things
we
wanted
feedback
on
was:
should
we
close
the
pool
to
outside
communities.
Just
have
children,
youth
in
it
from
3
3:30
to
7
or
3:00
to
7:00
that
time
block,
and
we
got
a
lot
of
folks
stating
please
don't
do
that,
and
the
overall
consensus
in
the
room
was
that
folks,
young
old
there
were
parents
there
that
have
children
that
swim.
D
D
So
that
issue
isn't
in
everybody's
face
and
then
we
can
continue
to
have
the
open
swim
hours
for
everybody
when
the
pool
is
open
and
also
they
were.
There
were
some
questions
as
to
why
the
pool
are
currently
the
pool
will
closed
from,
say
9:00
to
11:00
in
the
morning,
and
they
were
just
wondering
why
that
was.
D
We
had
offered
a
suggestion
or
something
that's
been
put
out
there
and
Cynthia
was
just
trying
to
get
feedback
as
to
what
the
public
thinks
about
it,
but
opening
an
extra
hour
early
in
the
morning
and
an
extra
hour
at
night,
and
most
of
them
are
like
what
we're
going
to
come
at
4:00
a.m.
to
swim
like
that.
Doesn't
sound
like
a
really
good
idea,
so
I'm
gonna,
let
Commission
Commissioner
Goodman
continue
but
I'm
pretty
sure.
That's
what
came
out
of
it
and
just
that.
E
Thanks,
so
I
would
just
echo
what
Commissioner
Diaz
said,
and
that
was
very
accurate.
Thank
you,
one
of
the
things
that
I,
don't
think
I,
don't
know
if
we
really
were
able
to
either
take
the
time
and
go
really
deep
into
what
would
it
be
like
if
indeed
there
was
adults,
swim,
youth,
swim
and
all
swim,
which
is
kind
of
a
standard
across
the
u.s.
and
I?
E
E
That
I
do
think
that
there's
more
opportunity
to
talk
about
pride
personally
I
think
there's
more
opportunity
to
talk
about
programming
hours
and
as
far
as
the
signage,
you
know
maybe
having
another
discussion
just
around
Adult
Swim,
youth,
swim
and
all
rec
swim
to
extract,
maybe
more
than
20
people,
because
it
was
said
that
if
there
was
some
very
specific
things
in
the
displayed
flyer
right,
the
communication,
maybe
even
more
people-
would
come.
There
was
a
consensus,
don't
close
on
Sundays,
don't
change
the
hours
on
Sundays.
E
There
was
also
a
feeling
that
midday
swim
for
some
of
our
community
members,
isn't
what
their
doctor
would
recommend
due
to
health
and
having
that
that
heat
and
that
Sun.
You
know
during
prime
what
we
might
call
primetime
and
so
three
to
six
or
seven
was
a
time
that's
recommended
to
swim,
because
the
Sun
goes
behind
the
mountain
at
that
time,
and
so
it's
a
little
safer
for
the
at
from
the
atmosphere.
E
So
I
think
there
was
a
lot
of
stuff
that
came
up
and
and
what
dominated
the
conversation
was
the
locker
room
conversation
so
I
actually
don't
know.
If
we,
if
Cynthia
you
got
all
the
information
that
you
might
have
needed,
you
know
for
a
direction,
but
I
do
you
know
so.
I
would
maybe
put
back
out.
I
thought
it
was
successful.
I
was
very
pleased
that
we
did
have
people
attend.
E
It
was
recommended
that
may
be
a
sign,
be
more
thorough
next
time,
so
we
can
get
more
people
there
and
maybe
after
this
experience,
a
second
discussion
would
would
be
helpful
and
maybe
not
I
mean
you
know.
The
city's
gonna
do
with
the
city
wants
to
do
to
some
degree
and
I,
don't
know
really
how
much
influence
you
know.
Our
direction
would
actually
have
well.
A
I
feel
strongly
that
the
process
that
we
went
through
was
very
good
because
I
remember
in
the
past,
when
we
closed
a
site
for
two
days
and
announced
it
and
the
commission
was
told
about
it
and
I
interceded
and
got
the
reversal
within
24
hours,
but
it
took
over
a
month
to
get
it
staffed
appropriately,
because
our
staff
changes
are
not
at
the
whim
of
the
director
they're
at
at
the
direction
of
the
I
guess.
It's
you've
actually
got
to
go
to
somebody
to
have
things
approved
outside
that.
The.
H
A
Actually
has
to
approve
that,
so
the
thing
that
I'm
ain't
really
excited
about
is
before
we
made
any
moves,
we're
actually
looking
for
data
from
the
users,
so
that
we
can
help
to
evaluate
how
this
can
go.
I
I
heard
so
many
things
and
learned
so
many
things
during
that
meeting.
That
I
was
surprised
at
I
assumed
that
an
extra
hour
at
seven
o'clock
at
night
in
the
dark
would
be
okay
for
a
health
issue.
A
But
as
the
person
side,
the
Sun
goes
behind
the
mountain
at
four
o'clock
and
I
can
then
swim
safely
in
the
pool
and
I
just
hadn't
connected
that
dot.
Before
so
hear,
hearing
from
the
people
was
was
very,
very
helpful
to
me
to
understand
the
position
behind
things.
I
personally
think
that
another
meeting
would
be
great
with
maybe
some
more
formation
as
to
what
would
be
positive.
A
One
of
the
things
that
we
had
talked
about
ahead
of
time
was
the
Sunday
question
was
merely
a
fact
of
how
do
we
address
costs
and
my
thought
is:
if
we
have
a
lot
of
overtime,
then
we
look
at
increasing
staff,
but
doing
it
with
straight
time.
People,
if
at
all
and
I,
know
that
we're
current
you're
transferring
jobs
where
people
are
doing
multiple
things,
but
there's
a
specialty
in
the
pool,
so
you've
got
to
be
cleared.
So
we
understand
that
Commissioner
Diaz
I.
D
Just
wanted
to
say
there
was
a
lot
of
positive
comments
regarding
the
pool
and
the
pool
staff
and
the
safety,
and
you
know
just
the
wonderful
facility-
and
they
were
very
appreciative
of
all
of
that,
as
well
as
one
comment
and
I
think
we
need
to
look
into
that
it
was
they
requested
that
we
speak
to
the
four
or
five
folks
that
are
working,
that
pool
all
the
time,
also
to
get
their
feedback,
the
lifeguards
and
attendants
in
the
office
or
whatever.
So
we
need
to
remember
to
do
that
as
well.
B
I
I
really
enjoyed
the
process.
I
think
it
was
great
to
have
you
know.
Unfortunately,
we
weren't
able
to
advertise
it
at
the
level
that
we
wanted
to.
We
didn't
have
use
of
the
positive
of
the
pavilion
to
really
you
know,
host
a
hundred
plus
people,
so
a
second
meeting
would
definitely
be
welcomed
so
that
we
can
discuss
the
programming
of
adults,
kids
and
then
open
rec,
I,
think
that
would
generate
a
healthy
conversation
as
far
as
the
staff
communicating
with
issues
or
concerns
they
do
into
the
office.
B
They're,
obviously
not
going
to
communicate
concerns
to
the
public
they're
there
to
provide
great
customer
service
and
not
to
worry
the
public,
and
so
issues
have
been
brought
into
the
office
about
certain
topics.
We
are
currently
in
the
process
of
securing
data
from
the
year
so
that
we
can
look
at
what's
happening
Monday
through
Sunday
in
just
the
review
of
numbers.
A
B
B
We
actually
did
put
an
additional
curtain
for
privacy
in
the
men's
locker
room,
because
we
unfortunately
don't
have
specific
access,
so
sometimes
we'll
have
to
have
a
person
come
in
through
the
office
to
get
into
the
male
restroom,
and
so
that
we
put
up
a
partition
there
to
just
continue
to
increase
privacy
there.
For
now,
until
we
can
really
address
the
issue,
we've
gotten
a
lot
of
feedback
on.
A
I
did
want
to
state
that
we
talked
about
privacy
and
protection
for
all
individuals.
This
was
not
just
for
one
age
segment
or
another.
It
is
privacy
and
protection
for
all,
because
there's
an
equal
amount
of
concern
for
a
transgender
person
having
to
use
a
broad
open
facility
where
they're
not
necessarily
comfortable.
We
also
did
I
want
to
mention,
asked
Alexis
Ortega,
who
represented
the
center
to
speak
on
behalf
of
many
of
the
things
that
she's
done
to
work
with
the
LGBTQ
community,
to
make
sure
that
everybody
is
treated
fairly
and
successfully
so
it.
A
This
was
very
well
presented
by
by
the
Commission
and
by
the
subcommittee.
It
was.
It
was
done
with
the
deep
deepest
amount
of
respect
and
the
ability
to
listen
and
I
think
everybody
felt
comfortable
to
speak.
The
one
thing
I
was
approached
about
afterwards
was
the
meeting
room
that
we
were
in,
which
is
the
I
call
it
the
yoga
facility,
dance
room.
A
Somebody
said
wasted
space,
let's
divide
it
in
half
and
put
you
know:
locker
room
changing
facilities
here
and
then
they
can
have
access
directly
out
to
the
pool,
and
it's
just
a
recommendation
that
came
in
you
know.
Everybody
looks
at
every
amount
of
space,
it's
hard
to
believe
how
much
all
of
our
space
is
used
and,
in
fact,
overused.
A
But
you
know
I
think
anything
that
we
can
do
to
seriously
look
at
I.
Think
that's
what
Commissioner
Goodman
was
saying
at
the
changing
facilities
and
the
restaurant
facilities
to
strengthen
them
as
as
much
it
seemed
to
me
like
the
entire
community
was
fine
in
the
pool,
so
it
might
change
the
flavor
of
what
we
need
to
do,
but
anything
that
the
Commission
can
do
to
help
you
get
to
the
position
that
you
need
to
be
in.
The
community
needs
to
be
were
there
for
that.
A
I
would
ask
that
we
stick
to
the
subcommittee
and
if
anybody
else
is
gonna
be
in
attendance,
if
you
can
just
let
us
know,
because
we
need
to
make
sure
that
we
don't
have
to
notice
the
meeting
if
which
would
be
required
by
the
Brown
Act,
if,
if
more
than
four
commissioners
five
commissioners
attended,
so
any
questions
or
other
concerns
or
issues
great.
Thank
you
very
much.
Unfortunately,
Commissioner
Armstrong
is
not
here
and
he
did
have
some
significant
comments
on
desert
X.
B
So
the
day
has
come:
I
have
a
date
for
the
resurfacing
resurfacing
and
the
restriping
over
at
DeMuth.
It
will
be
scheduled
for
March
28th
I
am
working
with
the
parks
maintenance
team
on
putting
up
some
temporary
fencing
the
day
before,
so
that
six
of
the
pickleball
courts
can
still
be
used.
While
construction
is
happening.
We
do
have
a
schedule
tournament
that
weekend,
that
is
open
to
the
public,
so
they'll
be
using
the
six
courts
and
they
are
expected
to
complete
the
work
in
a
two
week
span.
A
A
I
I
Also,
thank
you
for
putting
up
a
sign
at
the
Duluth
courts.
What
it
did
was
it
just
helped.
Everybody
feel
comfortable
that
something
was
going
on.
Moving
on
I
think
now,
by
putting
up
a
new
sign
that
says
good
news
right,
good
news:
it's
not
April
22nd
is
now
March.
28Th
is
going
to
be
exceeding
people's
expectations
now
so
I
think
that
would
be
a
really
great
thing.
If
we
can
do
that
and
would
it
be
possible
to
put
a
little
bit
of
detail
and
actually
it's
what
it's
a
question
I
have
for
you?
B
B
So
they'll
have
that
one
net
removed
it'll
be
redone
to
the
four
pickleball
courts
and
then
they'll
have
their
tennis
court
tennis
nets
as
they
need
to
be,
and
then
the
the
tennis
court
closest
to
the
street
on
the
side
of
where
the
animal
shelter
is
that
one
will
get
resurfaced
and
restriped
to
just
be
a
tennis
court.
Will.
I
B
B
We're
working
on
Kenny
was
out
there
last
week.
He
was
taking
all
the
measurements
so
that
we
can
get
prices
on
the
windscreen.
We
did
talk
about
I
guess
certain
patrons
have
asked
if
we
can
put
windscreen
on
the
side
of
the
fencing
by
the
bleachers,
but
since
it's
a
viewing
area,
it
kind
of
defeats
the
purpose.
We
will,
however,
order
the
windscreen
to
have
just
in
case
well.
A
It
should
still
be
around.
This
is
very
interesting
because
the
wind
screening
on
the
front
so
the
mesquite
side
of
the
street.
Yes,
there
were
wind
screens
which
were
requested
specifically
by
pickleball
players
to
be
removed
so
that
there
would
be
full
of
you
from
the
front.
There
was
some
some
complaints
when
they
were
removed,
because
then
there
is
some
wind,
but
I
actually
thought
that
they
had
doubled
them
on
the
backside.
B
A
Hopefully,
I'm
not
stretching
the
rules
here,
but
since
we're
talking
about
pickleball-
and
there
was
a
comment
earlier
about
lights-
on
pickleball
I'm,
wondering
I've,
been
there
several
times
late
at
night
to
test
the
lights,
to
make
sure
that
they
were
actually
workable
and
they
were
all
totally
dark
and
I
had
to
turn
on
the
timer's.
Is
there
another
way
for
the
public
to
turn
on
the
lights
other
than
the
timers?
That.
B
I'm,
not
sure
and
I
would
have
to
ask
the
parks
maintenance
team,
but
in
regards
to
just
the
lighting
issues
general
in
that
area,
they
have
been
testing
the
ballfield
lights
and
that's
why
they've
been
on
for
a
long
period
of
time.
During
the
day
there
we've
had
issues
with
the
programming
of
the
lights
and
that's
why
they
may
be
on
late
at
night.
B
It's
been
a
really
difficult
situation,
trying
to
get
this
light
issue
taken
care
of,
but
we
feel
like
we're
getting
closer
to
solving
that
problem
so
that
our
baseball
softball
community
can
have
that
out
of
the
way,
so
they
can
focus
on
their
games
and
tournaments.
I
was
not
aware
that
the
pickleball
court
lighting
was
an
issue.
Nobody
has
ever
called
the
office
to
say
anything,
but
I
will
I
will
work
with
parks,
maintenance
to
see
what
is
happening
there
so
that
we
can
get
that
under
control
too
well.
Just.
A
So
you
know
as
far
as
I'm
concerned
and
I
am
NOT
a
pickleball
player
nor
a
tennis
player.
I
have
gone
out
at
nine
o'clock
at
night
to
test
the
lights
and
I
will
tell
you
it.
It
you'd
have
to
be
an
eagle
to
play
pickleball
or
tennis
on
that
court
with
the
lighting
it
is
so
dimly
lit
and
you
lose
so
much
light.
It
bleeds
out
because
it
doesn't
seem
down
focused
very
well.
A
D
I
was
gonna,
say:
is
there
not?
You
know
at
my
house,
I
have
timers
and
stuff
it'll
go
on
and
then
they'll
go
off
unless
I
do
something
so
I,
don't
know
that
we
would
want
I'm,
just
speaking
as
a
person
that
lives
would
be
living
in
that
community
I
wouldn't
want
it
where
people
can
just
go
turn
it
on
and
off
from
the
post.
D
A
D
D
A
And
the
timer
should
give
you
I,
think
it's
30
or
45
minutes
of
play
or
maybe
an
hour.
The
issue
is,
though,
like
I
want
to
test
them,
so
I
had
to
bring
them
all
on
and
they
had
to
be
on
for
an
hour,
even
though
I
was
merely
testing
to
make
sure
I
could
report
to
Stacy
and
at
Cynthia
that
the
lights
were
working,
but
if
there
were
a
way
that
you
could
actually
turn
them
off.
We.
I
I
just
said
you,
mr.
Cohen,
in
the
same
vein
of
talking
about
the
pickleball
courts.
I
don't
expect
I'll
have
this
information
now,
but
maybe
you
could
talk
to
us
about
it.
Future
meeting
could
give
us
an
update
on
the
water
treatment
plant.
That's
there
as
well,
because
that
has
been
quite
an
issue
for
months
in
the
past,
and
it
is
certainly
better
my
personal
observation
than
it
has
been
in
the
past,
but
it
still
is
not
fixed
and
there
are
days
when
it
is
still
pretty
abusive
to
be
there
and
playing
okay.
A
Can
we
ask
the
representatives
from
because
they
actually
came
in
and
talked
to
us
if
you
look
back
at
the
minutes
about
six
months
ago
and
they'd
significantly
improved,
but
they've
been
stood,
some
additional
accusations
about
what
that
all
represents,
that
I
would
love
to
now
that
I've.
You
know
people
have
brought
to
me
methane
and
things
like
that.
I
would
like
to
hear
you
know
more
than
just
here's
what
we're
doing
to
fix.
But
you
know
here's
the
underlying
here's,
what
gases
there
are
and
how
they,
how
they
can
impact
people.
I
And
I
would
just
like
to
add
for
the
record
that,
while
we're
talking
about
this
in
the
context
of
pickleball,
it's
really
a
community
issue.
It's
not
just
pickle
ballers
who
are
smelling
this.
If
I
lived
in
that
community
I
would
have
some
concerns
as
well.
So
I
think
it
would
be
good
that
we
just
addressed
the
issue
and
just
it's
really
more
fact-finding
and
they
may
be
finished
and
then
there's
a
question
of
okay.
Then
what
else
can
we
do?
Weather
might
say
it's
taken
longer
than
they
expected
I.
I
H
Some
information
on
that
people
had
mentioned
to
me
that
when
they
went
it
still
was
smelling
so
I
just
wandered
over
there
to
take
a
tour
of
the
place
and
if
you've
never
been
there,
it's
it's
pretty
interesting.
Everything
is
under
cover
and
they
do
have
filters
on.
But
there's
one
part
that
did
I
forget
his
name,
but
the
man
that
was
here
said
well,
we
don't
have
the
money
for
one
part,
and
that
is
when
they're
done
with
the
biological
process.
H
There's
stuff
left
over
I
think
it's
just
the
bodies
of
the
dead
bacteria
that
do
the
work
and
it's
95
percent
water
and
they
hire
someone
to
drive
it
away
and
for
some
reason
they
bury
it
in
Arizona
and
what
he
told
to
me.
It's
too
expensive.
So
what
they
do
is
they
there's
an
empty
field
where
they
put
the
sludge
out
in
the
open
with
no
cover
on
it
and
it
sits
there
until
it
dries,
and
then
somebody
comes
in
with
a
backhoe
and
carts
it
away.
Unfortunately,
he
said
after
it
dries.
H
It
gets
kind
of
a
cake
on
the
top
of
it,
and
this
smell
is
not
there,
but
every
time
the
backhoe
goes
in,
they
disturb
it
and
the
smell
comes
back
up
and
so
I
asked
him.
Well,
you
told
us
that
in
two
months
you
were
gonna
clean
out
all
the
old
system
and
we
would
have
no
order
whatsoever.
He
said:
well,
they
didn't
get
the
money
for
the
final
piece.
So
there
is
an
open
field
with
sludge
and
I
looked
at
it.
It's
about
four
stories
high
and
that's
what
you're
smelling
so.
A
For
the
meeting
next
month,
I
think
that's
great
information.
Thank
you
very
much.
Commissioner
lamort
can
we
also
get
Marcus
because
I
I'd
like
to
understand
if
this
is
a
city-based
issue
or
if
they're
delivering
services
to
the
city
and
the
city
can
bring
some
pressure
to
it
or
if
the
city
needs
to
bring
the
pocket-book,
but
we
have
people
in
the
parks
and
we
have
people
in
the
neighborhoods
and
and
I
mean
those
parks
are
filled
with
not
just
pickleball
players,
there's
also
soccer
forever
and
softball.
So
we
need
some.
A
If
there's
this
element,
that's
that's
left
that
there's
a
lack
of
money
and
therefore
they're
not
addressing
it.
I,
don't
know
if
that's
a
city-based
issue
or
if,
if
they're,
delivering
a
service
to
the
city,
and
we
can
put
more
pressure
on
it
to
be
fixed
but
I
think
I'm
thinking.
Marcus
is
probably
the
the
touch
point
for
that,
and
you
know,
and
let
him
know
it's
not
about
pressure.
It's
really
just
about
making
sure
that
we
have
the
right
people
here
and
if
it's
not
him,
he
can
certainly
get
it
to
the
right
people.
A
Just
to
bring
it
back
to
the
good
news,
thank
you
very
much
for
Fort
moving
this
forward.
I
feel
like
it's
such
a
win
that
it
it
deserves.
You're
taking
about
with
that
we'll
move
on
to
discussion
of
commission
review
of
fee
schedule
and
facilities
and
programs,
and
actually
we're
just
going
to
be
talking
about
fee
schedules.
A
So
when
that
gets
out
to
everybody,
if
you
could
just
look
at
that
with
that
thought
in
mind
that
we're
not
looking
for
you
to
figure
out
the
square
footage
of
a
room,
whether
it's
air-conditioned
or
it's
really
more,
we
are
collecting
our
fees
today.
Can
we
get
to
the
point
that
we
can
bump
it
by
some
comfortable
percentage?
So
with
that
being
said,
do
you
want
to
go
through
our
comprehensive
fee
schedule.
A
My
hope
is
that
we
can
actually
roll
this
forward
and
and
move
it
with
support
from
the
Commission.
At
this
point
in
time
we
did
do
a
great
deal
of
work.
A
subcommittee
worked
on
this
and
put
together
a
totally
different
program
which
was
turned
down
by
Council.
They
felt
we
were
being
probably
way
too.
Punitive
I
previously
did
go
to
the
parks
and
recs
Commission
in
Cathedral,
City
and
I
told
them
that
I
would
come
back
so
to
discuss
the
change
in
fees,
because
these
fees
will
present
different
structures
that
meet
our
constituents.
A
The
people
who
live
in
Palm
Springs
or
the
people
who,
whose
parents
work
in
Palm
Springs
or
a
child
who
attends
school
in
Palm
Springs,
will
be
granted
the
Palm
Springs
fees,
but
a
family
who
lives
in
Cathedral
City
whose
family
does
not
work
in
Palm
Springs.
Nor
do
the
children
attend
a
school
in
Palm
Springs
will
experience
a
fee
increase
and,
as
a
result
of
that,
I
went
to
the
parks
and
recs
Commission
to
say
I,
trust
that
since
you
don't
offer
programs
like
ours,
you
will
do
something
with
your
City
Council.
A
So
that
is
not
impacted
here.
The
council
had
always
requested
that
we
are
giving
discounts
discounted
fees,
but
fees
that
are
reasonable
to
our
constituents
and
that
people
who
are
visiting
from
elsewhere
are
paying
a
different
rate,
any
questions
about
that
or
any
questions
or
concerns
about
the
the
fees
in
front
of
you.
If
not
it,
what
up
go
ahead,
commissioner,
Goodman
I'm.
E
J
B
Well,
I
would
hope
that
we
could
provide
some
great
customer
service
and
say
we
will
waive
that
because
it's
not
working,
but
that's
something
that
I
need
to
go
back
and
get
clarity
and
direction
from
the
city
manager,
because
I
am
not
allowed
to
waive
fees
or
whatnot,
but
I'm
pretty
sure.
With
the
issue
that
we've
been
having
it
wouldn't
be
an
issue
in.
C
J
Been
going
on
is
some
of
the
lights
are
coming
on,
but
not
all
of
them
and
the
guys
want
to
play
so
bad.
So
we
still
do
it,
but
it's
definitely
not
safe.
So
you
know
cuz,
the
guys
are
asking
me
and
I'm
gonna
say
you
know
the
route
we've
missed
a
lot
of
games,
some
of
its
not
because
the
lights
went
out
is
because
the
rains,
the
the
fields
got
so
wet
and
that
kind
of
carried
on
to
some
electrical
issues.
So
we
get
that
no.
B
And
we're
trying
to
find
a
quick
solution
with
either
trying
to
rent
some
light
towers
so
that
you
guys
can
continue
to
play
it's
just
a
matter
of
getting
staff
out
there
to
set
them
up
and
then
to
pull
them
back
in
at
the
end
of
the
night
and,
as
you
guys
all
know,
we
have
that
410
Union
issue,
so
that
also
plays
a
part
into
it.
What.
A
D
One
point
they
were
having
this
SoCal
coyotes
were
practicing
there.
That
was
their
practice
field.
They've
now
moved
out
to
Xavier
somewhere
out
there,
but
they
would
bring
in
those
huge
lights
for
their
practices,
and
some
of
the
soccer
groups
also
will
bring
I'm
I,
don't
know
personally,
if
they're
bringing
their
lights
but
yeah,
they
have
to
come
from
somewhere.
I,
don't
think
it's
the
city,
that's
putting
them
out.
A
G
E
B
This
was
how
it
was
originally
drafted:
I'm
not
in
the
position
to
be
able
to
make
these
changes.
They
came
from
a
different
Department.
Obviously,
as
we
finalize
them
all
of
that
information
will
be
updated
because
they
can't
go
into
effect,
July,
2nd
until
it's
been
passed
and
had
public
discussion
and
all
of
that
good
stuff.
Anything.
B
B
E
B
B
we
do
also
offer
camp
where
they
can
start
at
7:30
and
they
would
participate
in
what's
called
iOpener
classes
and
we
would
either
send
them
to
tennis
classes,
pickleball
classes,
swim
classes,
skate,
skate
park
classes,
and
so
at
that
point
the
fee,
for
that
would
be
a
little
bit
higher
because
the
drop-in
would
be
before
9
a.m.
and
then
we
also
offer
the
extended
after
camp
hours
where
they
can
be
kept
there
until
6
p.m.
B
E
A
J
B
Probably
you
probably
won't
see
it
go
too
forward,
and
so
we
also
vote
on
the
facility
fees.
Okay,
because
they
will
they
would
it
will
all
go
together
and
what
you
guys
don't
see
in
here,
because
I
don't
give
you
everything
else
in
this
V
schedule
is
the
fee
schedule
for
the
rest
of
the
city,
we're
just
focusing
on
the
Parks
and
Rec
fees
right.
So
there's
several
other
pages
that
you
guys
aren't
actually
viewing,
but
it
will
all
go
together
as
a
complete
packet
to
council
for
approval.
Thank
you
very
much.
A
B
Okay,
so
we
spent
a
lovely
Saturday
together
and
one
of
the
things
that
the
Commission
focused
on
was
trying
to
figure
out
what
was
important
in
regards
to
goals
and
objectives
and
how
we
were
going
to
get
there,
and
so,
as
you're
looking
at
our
lovely
bar
chart,
the
Commission
felt
that
their
number
one
goal
was
to
complete
projects
that
are
already
in
the
pipeline.
Like
pickleball
at
DeMuth,
pickleball,
a
sunrise
park,
the
bathrooms,
the
lighting
wind,
shade
benches,
adding
sand
or
DG
to
the
large
dog
part.
B
That
was
the
one
you
guys
felt
most
important
and
then
your
next,
your
next
goal
or
objective,
was
to
main
maintain
the
parks
or
keep
them
improve
their
current
conditions
and
obviously
the
bar
graph
is
not
in
that
order.
That's
why
I
typed
them
out
over
here.
This
is
just
how
they
came
out
in
on
the
survey
following
maintaining
the
parks.
You
guys
ranked
planning
and
building
pickleball
facilities,
similar
to
st.
B
Your
fifth
fifth
item
was
to
update
the
restrooms.
The
sixth
one
was
to
add
shade
to
parks.
This
seventh
one
was
to
have
Parks
and
Rec
at
Parks
and
Rec
app
that
publishes
programs
and
allows
interaction.
The
eighth
one
was
to
produce
a
series
of
community
forums
community
conversations
with
breakout
sessions
so
that
the
parks
and
recreation
can
hear
more
from
the
public
number.
Nine
was
to
build
a
Soccer
Complex
ten
was
to
assign
commissioners
to
assent
to
attend.
Other
commission
meetings.
B
Number
eleven
was
to
increase
the
viability
at
public
events
and
attending
events,
and
it
might
have
been
visibility.
My
apologies
number
twelve
was
to
develop
and
implement
a
social
media
strategy
for
the
Parks
and
Recreation.
Creating
a
hashtag
and
13
was
to
develop
an
event
called
PS
Fest
or
something
to
that
effect,
highlighting
the
use
of
the
parks.
A
Thinking
back
to
that
day,
are
those
the
same
things
or
will
we
because
our
bathroom
project
that
our
subcommittee
work
done
was
about
the
outdoor
bathrooms
or
lack
thereof
in
our
parks
and
I'm,
trying
to
think
now,
where
we
say
updating
bathrooms,
are
we
talking
about
the
interior
bathrooms
in
buildings
within
parks
and
recs?
Are
we
really
talking
about
the
same
thing
same
thing?
So
in
my
mind,
three
and
five
move
up
to
number
one,
because
we
have
made
our
recommendation,
which
are
our
heavy
work,
is
done
now.
A
So
is
there
somebody
that
would
like
to
attend
the
next
city
council
meeting
now
remember
this
will
not
be
an
agenda
item,
which
means
that
you
will
spend
your
Wednesday
evening
in
its
entirety,
because
this
will
be
a
non
agendized
item
to
be
covered
at
the
end
of
the
meeting.
It's
the
last
thing
that
happens
before
like
I
think
it's
right
before
City
Council
members
request
to
add
for
staff,
so
I
would
love
it.
A
A
A
Absolutely
so,
but
what
I
would
like
to
make
sure
that
we
do?
Is
that,
where
we're
presenting
just
nicely
that
we
have
something
that
we've
put
together-
and
it
was
a
couple
months
ago
and
I
will
tell
you
it's
one
of
the
fastest
things
I've
ever
seen.
A
subcommittee
Committee
turn
around
and
in
my
info
wanted.
B
A
E
So
I
sent
an
email
and
the
the
one
thing
that
I
just
noticed
that
was
left
off
that
was
shared
at
the
retreat,
was
creating
a
Friends
of
the
parks
and
I
sent
a
few
emails.
I
asked
that
the
survey
be
resent
out
so
that
that
could
get
in
front
of
everyone
and
I
do
think.
There's
a
few
of
the
topics
that
are
on
here
that
really
do
fold
into
you
know.
We've
spent
the
last
six
months
doing
some
work
and
making
recommendations,
and
that
should
be
our
number
one.
E
E
But
we've
talked
for
a
very
long
time
amongst
ourselves
about
people
putting
plaques
up
or
maybe
planting
a
tree
or
doing
benches
and
I
know
that
I'm
out
looking
for
sponsorships
for
summer
camps
and
I
mean
this
just
Falls
so
nicely
into
Friends
of,
and
it
wasn't
an
opportunity
for
people
even
to
consider
so
I
I
share
that
with
I
have
some
disappointment
and
a
even
if
I
was
the
only
one
who
voted
for
it.
But
I
do
think
that
it
was
not
added
in
it
should
have
been.
I
I
So
if
that
needs
to
be
a
separate
line,
item
I
don't
see
why
we
can't
just
add
that
in
that's
what
we're
doing
out
we're
discussing
what
our
priorities
are
and
I
would
agree
with
you
wholeheartedly
that
that
needs
to
be
made
a
priority
so
that
we
have
a
funding
mechanism
for
that
people
are
willing
to
do
these
things
that
can
get
some
of
these
things
accomplished.
I,
don't
assume
the
nits
need
to
do
a
sit
to
send
the
survey
out
again.
E
I
think
it's
one
of
13,
and
so
it
really
we've
been
number
14
which
would
quietly
given
everyone
an
opportunity
to
vote
on
where
they
believe
that
was
in
the
priority
there.
I
I
was
never
under
personally
the
assumption
that
this
funding
would
be
coming
from
a
501
C
3,
like
a
Friends
of
I,
was
under
the
assumption.
E
I
A
B
But
it
sounds
like
what
you
guys
want
to
try
to
establish
is
Parks
and
Recreation
nonprofit,
which
is
a
completely
different
beast,
and
that's
going
to
take
time
with
getting
things
approved
by
the
state
with
Articles
of
Incorporation
and
whatnot.
And
what
are
the
look?
What
are
what
is
that
box?
They're
gonna
operate
out
of
because
the
Commission's
not
going
to
operate
as
the
nonprofit.
It's
going
to
be
a
completely
different
board.
I.
A
Think
one
of
the
things
that
we've
had
in
the
past
Cynthia's
I
thought
there
was
a
friends
of
the
of
the
dog
park
a
while
back
and
it
may
have
actually
not
been
filed
as
a
501c3,
but
it
would
probably
be
good
to
reach
back
and
find
out.
Is
there
something
broader
on
the
scale
between
a
501c3
which
I
would
I?
Don't
see
that
being
what
would
necessarily
drive
out
of
this
Commissioner?
We
may
be
able
to
push
it
in.
B
Regards
to
the
dog
park
are
you?
Are
you
talking
about
the
brick
program
where
people
could
buy
the
brick
okay
so
that
just
got
brought
back
into
the
actual
department
and
we
will
be
providing
the
oversight
for
it
a
while
back?
It
was
one
staff
member
who
took
it
upon
herself
to
make
that
happen.
So
at
this
point,
I
have
to
look
back
into
the
files
to
figure
out
where
she
was
purchasing
these
bricks,
but
it
wasn't.
B
The
dollar
that
was
being
brought
in
was
just
being
turned
right
back
out
to
purchase
these
bricks.
For
that
specific
that
specific
item,
but
it
sounds
like
what
you
guys
are
trying
to
do
is
create
a
non-profit.
So
you
can
house
sponsorships
to
put
it
right
back
into
the
community
who
wants
to
participate
in
programming
which
doesn't
necessarily
cover
the
bench
aspect
of
things
or
things
like
that.
B
I'd
have
to
really
look
and
review
how
the
brick
program
was
set
up
to
see.
If
it's
something
we
can,
we
can
mimic
with,
or
even
combine
with
that
program
already
to
see.
If
we
can
do
something
in
regards
to
part
to
the
benches
or
even
trees,
there
is
already
a
program
set
up
for
the
trees
and
I
did
forget
to
bring
the
handout.
I
actually
forgot,
to
bring
my
entire
hand
out
of
my
updates,
so
I'm
gonna
wing
it
and
hope
that
I
do
a
decent
enough
job
for
you
this
evening.
A
A
What
we
already
have
and
potentially
I'd
love
to
get
together
with
the
Art
Commission
and
see
if
they
would,
you
know,
buy
into
maybe
having
a
school
take
a
couple
of
benches
that
are
cement
and
and
paint
them
and
just
you
know,
bring
them
to
life
and
and
utilize
some
benches
that
we
may
already
have,
but
I
don't
to
get
too
too
scattered
on
this
stuff.
But.
B
A
Long
as
we
make
sure
we
understand
City
trails
and
what
the
city
trails
are
because
they're
still
in
my
mind,
a
lot
of
confusion
over
what
our
trails
that
our
County
related
and
what
trails
are
tribal
and
which
are
really
truly
City,
and
my
understanding
and
I
have
very
little
knowledge
of
this.
But
it
is
very
small
increments
of
trails
that
belong
to
the
city,
so
we
want
to
make
sure
that
they're
rightly
focused
what
I'd
like
to
do
with.
These
is
illuminating.
E
I
would
like
to
just
clarify
number
three,
so
in
number
one
there's
a
proposal
at
City
Council
to
put
pickleball
facilities
at
sunrise
and
they're,
pretty
keen
on
it.
They
like
the
solution
that
we
provided
I,
see
a
lot
of
similarities
in
three
and
building
a
facility,
Center,
pickleball
and
I.
Think
the
what
might
be
the
difference
is
and
I've
not
been
to
st.
George.
I
did
jump
online
I
looked
at.
It
is
the
actual
bricks
and
mortar
facility
that
would
provide
a
club
environment.
Is
that
correct
that
st.
George
has
that?
E
Yes
right
so
so
I
think
that
there's
a
lot
of
similarities
in
number
three,
where
it
says,
build
a
pickleball,
so
we
definitely
are
going
forward
with
courts.
So
the
real
question
for
number
three
is
that
is
the
bricks
and
mortar
facility
and
I'm.
For
me,
what
comes
up
is
if
pickleball
has
a
bricks
and
mortar
facility.
E
Tennis
is
deserving
of
a
bricks
and
mortar
facility,
especially
with
the
loss
of
the
barista
tennis
club
property,
which
provided
that
and
was
an
affordable
solution
for
tennis
players
so
and
then
I
look
at
number
four,
which
looks
like
it's
running.
A
close.
You
know
closely
behind
those
dual
number
threes
and
so
I
don't
know
if
we
need
more
discussion
on
the
number
three
and
the
actual
facility
which
scored
quite
high
I,
will
say
just
publicly
for
the
record.
A
Yeah
I
as
I
look
at
the
list
when
I
think
about
pickleball
facility
on
Sunrise
I,
don't
a
brick-and-mortar
facility
and
since
I've
lived
in
Palm
Springs,
one
of
the
things
I
had
a
hard
time.
Understanding
is
why
we
didn't
have
indoor
tennis
and
why
we
didn't
have
indoor
handball
and
things
like
that,
and
the
response
was
it's
because
it's
beautiful
here-
and
it
is
beautiful
here-
they're
just
not
times
that
you
play
sports
year-round
or
throughout
the
course
of
the
day
which
otherwise
may
have
been
more
occupied.
A
So
I
had
a
hard
time
with
three
I
I.
Don't
I,
don't
have
a
hard
time
with
moving
in
and
to
number
one
with
with
the
pickleball
issue
relative
to
sunrise,
but
I.
Don't
know
that
my
fear
is
if
you
try
to
do
a
st.
George,
which
would
be
beautiful
that
you
would
take
it
from
our
number
one
to
our
number
37,
because
even
if
we
made
it
number
three
when
it
got
to
council,
the
infrastructure
of
the
city
has
some
things.
It
needs
to
get
repaired
to
keep
the
building
solid.
A
E
I
Have
to
say
that
I
didn't
read
it
that
way,
so,
okay,
I,
actually
just
read
it
as
put
intended
put
in
pickleball
courts
at
sunrise
park
with
the
idea
that
if
we
could
find
the
money
hey,
let's
build
a
grand
facility
that
could
be
similar
to
st.
George.
But
I
didn't
see
that
separately
as
a
separate
item.
No,
let's
only
build
a
facility
if
it's
as
good
as
a
big
st.
George.
So
so
my
vote
I
would
have
changed
my
vote.
I
E
H
Just
I
also
took
number
three
to
be
due
to
sunrise
park,
pickleball,
perhaps
so
facility
I
didn't
I,
wasn't
thinking
brick-and-mortar.
So
that's
why
I
thought?
Okay,
let's
vote
it
for
it,
but
I
agree.
I,
think
that
should
it
is
well
can't
say
it's
never
gonna
happen,
but
I
think
you're
right.
It's
gonna
be
at
the
bottom
of
the
list.
If
it's
infrastructure,
I
jokingly,
I
know
the
Library
Commission
is
talking
about
what
are
they
gonna
do
with
the
library,
so
I
jokingly
said
well.
H
D
A
A
I
A
Is
is
thriving
because
they
have
the
right
element
of
people
working
out
of
it.
It's
probably
no
different
than
we
experienced
with
it
with
education,
and
things
like
that.
So,
if
is
everybody
in
agreement
that
we
could
go
back
and
look
to
see
what
could
move
into
one
and
then
rear
ank,
including
creating
the
Friends
of
the
park,
and
the
thing
that
we
have
to
remember
is
and
some
of
these
things
some
of
these
will
be
a
full
build-out
of
a
subcommittee.
Some
of
them
will
merely
be
recommendations
and
finding
other
places
to
do
things.
A
I
mean
adding
the
shades
of
parks
I
feel
strongly
as
part
of
the
image
the
letter
J
piece,
we've
always
talked
about
safety
safety
as
son,
you
know
avoidance
and
in
how
we
keep
people
alive.
You
know
with
skin
cancer
issues,
so
some
of
these
things
can
be
pulled
in
I
mean
the
Soccer
Complex,
that's
been
on
the
table
for
I
want
to
say
10
or
15
years,
and
it's
just
never
gotten.
A
A
I
E
I
think
what
les
was
saying
is
there:
are
there
duplicates
and
it
was
and
I
feel
badly
Johnny,
because
I
know
exactly
what
you
were
talking
about.
So
I
knew
this,
but
it
just
sounds
like
the
majority
really
thought
that
it
was
a
pickleball
courts
and
develop
pickleball
play
at
sunrise,
and
so
in
that
it
would
get
moved
in,
but
I
think
Johnny
you're
very
clear
that
that
was
a
bricks
and
mortar
facility.
Well,.
J
C
A
We
just
went
around
the
room
and
everybody,
but
Johnny
said
it
is
in
number
one.
It
is
just
getting
a
sunrise
Park
on
its
feet
and
I,
don't
mind
if
we
make
a
separate,
you
know
bill
the
st.
George
and
and
everybody
votes
on
that
independently,
but
I
didn't
again.
Planet
Phil,
pickleball
facility
and
Center
I
saw
as
being
the
sunrise
park,
because
that's
what
we've
all
talked
about?
Okay,
well
right
can.
I
I
apologize
can
I
just
suggest
that
we
to
clarify
that
just
say
more
than
just
the
courts,
just
so
that
when
people
are
looking
at
this,
we
don't
make
the
same
mistakes
that
that
that
line
item,
if
we
were
going
to
keep
it
in
is
to
is
to
build
a
bricks
and
mortar
facility.
It's
it's
not
just
building
like
courts
at
sunrise
park.
G
A
And
then
we
can
rearrange
the
things
that
we've
got
to
get
done
and
and
then
I'll
obviously
will
be
looking
for
people
to
raise
their
hand
and
say:
I
could
drive
that
and
let's
be
realistic.
If
there
are
thirteen
or
fourteen
things,
we're
not
gonna
push
13
or
14
things.
We're
gonna
choose
two
or
three
things
that
we
could
formulate
and
push
forward
and
try
to
do.
What
we
can
do.
Is
everybody
good
with
that
good.
B
A
A
A
C
We
I
spoke
with
major
J.
They
want
us
to
be
there
for
their
main
meeting.
Do
you
have
the
gate
time
of
their
meeting
for
the
Commission,
but
we
kind
of
need
to
come
up
with
what
we
want
to
present
to
them
that
we're
interested
in
they're
looking
to
slot
the
money
for
2021.
They
don't
want
to
give
us.
You
know
a
little
bit
here
a
little
bit
here.
C
They
want
to
just
give
us
a
big
chunk,
whether
it
be
a
million
half
two
million
dollars
like
they
did
for
the
hot
spots
this
year
and
we
go
with
it,
but
we
need
to
come
up
with
what
we
want
to
present
to
them.
And
what
subject
to
what
item
is
hot
for
us
to
get
them
excited
and
also
to
keep
in
mind
that
when
they
present
it,
it's
got
to
get
counsel
excited
too,
so
that
we
don't
work
and
spin
our
wheels.
J
G
E
Will
say
around
the
pickleball
courts
and
mythic
measure,
J
I've
had
conversations
with
the
Arts
Commission
about
creating
and
it
would
not
with
sustainability,
but
with
the
Palm
Springs
horticultural,
about
creating
an
area
like
a
walking
path
area
that
is,
is
a
blend
of
art,
literature
and
desert
scape,
so
that
there's
activities
on
the
outside
of
the
courts,
for
families
and
for
kids
and
for
the
Senior
Center
and
the
proposed
library.
If
it
ends
up
staying
in
its
its
curtain.
A
Please
so
I
could
see
a
Wellness
Park
designed
like
that
is
very
much
like
that
on
the
exterior
circle,
oh
and
I
think
that'd
be
great.
One
of
things.
I
don't
like
to
ask
the
subcommittee
to
look
at,
though,
is
pickleball
courts
at
sunrise
park,
in
addition
to
lighting
in
all
three
pickleball
and
tennis
areas
and
an
appropriate
shading,
because
I
think
that
was
one
of
the
things
with
safety
that
was
really
really
well
received
with
the
prior
measure.
I
And
I
don't
want
to
balloon
this
into
any.
You
know
starting
to
pile
on,
but
in
the
sense
of
building
a
proper,
even
just
courts
and
not
a
st.
George
facility,
and
we
talked
about
lighting
and
things
one
of
the
things
I
think
you
really
just
need
to
have
that
all
these
for
safety
is
water.
Oh
absolutely,.
A
I
I
B
B
It
so
wait,
they
did
start.
They
are
gonna,
do
a
couple
of
different
proposals.
They
will
have
the
Cadillac
proposal,
which
will
include
all
of
these
things
that
you
guys
are
talking
about,
and
then
it'll
have
the
less
lesser
model,
because,
depending
on
what
that
cost
is
going
to
be
City
Council
needs
to
be
able
to
say,
okay.
Well,
if
we
only
have
this
amount
of
dollars,
what
are
we
actually
going
to
get
for
it?
B
E
B
C
E
One
of
the
things
the
city
did
with
the
Commission
for
dog
park
was
a
commissioner
was
at
those
meetings
so
that
the
Commission
was
represented
and
it
went
on
for
a
number
of
months,
and
so
I
want
to
propose
that,
even
though
it's
a
daytime
I
think
there
might
be
some
flexibility
for
some
someone
from
the
ad
hoc
committee
to
be
able
to
sit
in
on
those
meetings
just
so
that
they
can
represent
the
Commission
and
report
back
to
the
subcommittee's
and
so
forth.
So
it's
just
you're
not
doing
all
the
heavy
lifting.
C
B
A
They've
they've
increased
some
things
that
may
cause
some
problems,
but
what
I
would
say
is
we
cannot?
We
cannot
wait
and
assume
that
we're
gonna
not
gonna
get
the
money.
I
think
we
have
to
go
forward
and
talk
positively
and
excitedly
about
the
fact
that
we're
here
to
get
your
money
and
do
things
that
are
wonderful
for
all
citizens
and
Palm
Springs.
Well,.
E
I
also
think
at
the
city
council
meeting
when
we
presented
the
idea
of
pickleball
courts
at
sunrise
park,
there
were
pockets
of
money
in
the
city
that
they
thought
could
be
applied.
If
you
were
at
that
meeting,
some
of
the
savings
with
the
buzz
and
and
some
other
things,
I
I-
think
the
city
would
like
measure
J
it's
a
step
forward
and
make
that
recommendation,
but
it
didn't
seem
like
it
was
dependent
on
that
that
they
were
moving
forward
and
maybe
there's
there,
it's
blended
and
shared.
So
I
don't
want
to
assume
that
measure.
E
A
A
E
E
E
A
C
A
A
A
It's
got
a
few
words
and
it
calendar
is
one
of
the
words
and
if
you
pop
that
up
you'll
see
this
month's
calendar
and
you
will
see
every
meeting
that
the
city
is
involved
in
and
a
lot
of
meetings
that
I
had
no
idea
we
did.
But
when
you
pull
that
up-
and
you
see
it
if
you
happen
to
see
that
it's
the
second
Tuesday
of
the
month
and
that
day
it's
already
past
then
look
at
the
next
month
and
you'll
see
it
there.
So
you
actually
almost
and
a
lot
of
times.
A
You
have
to
look
at
the
current
month
because
it
may
not
be
scheduled
too
far
out
in
advance
because
they
can't
agendas
and
things
based
on
the
Brown
Act.
But
that
will
help
you,
if
you
ever
think
about
you,
know
unjust.
So
it's
so
mean,
look
at
the
you
know,
even
prior
months
record
and
it'll
help
you
with
that.
So
definitely
anything
else,
commissioner.
It
is
because
you're
Cohen
the.
I
Only
other
thing
I
wanted
to
mention
April,
7th
I
believe
the
tribe
is
so
is
having
it's
a
rescheduled
legacy
hike
since
I
needed
to
step
off
of
the
hiking
subcommittee.
It's
not
something
that
I
appropriately
can
organize,
and
there
were
a
few
people
who
said
they
wanted
to
participate
in
that.
So,
if
there's
somebody
else
who's
organizing
it
now,
that
would
be
great
if
not
I
will
hopefully
see
folks
there
and
we
can
just
participate
as
citizens
and
community
members-
and
we
just
happened
to
be
commissioners
as
well.
C
H
H
A
And
I
just
want
to
make
sure
that
Cynthia
is
aware
of
it,
so
that
we
can
get
make
sure
that
we
get
an
understanding
of
people
that
are
volunteering
from
commissions
and
that
we
get
that
shared
with
the
council
so
that
they
understand
that
as
well.
Gonna
be
perfect.
Thank
you
anything
else,
chemistry
coming!
That's.
J
Just
want
to
thank
Cynthia
again
for
just
responding
to
us
and
giving
us
some
updates
specifically
delighting
at
the
park.
There
was
a
before
Vicki
left
she
had
mentioned.
There
was
a
million
dollars
of
Lie
of
money,
I,
don't
know
if
it's
measure
J
or
what
it
was,
but
to
redo
the
entire
lights
for
the
city
parks.
So.
B
That
was
a
bid
she
secured
there
actually
wasn't
fun
secured
for
it.
It
was
one
of
her
requests
for
CIP
funding.
I
am
working
with
Stacey
in
order
to
try
to
continue
to
move
that
forward.
But,
as
you
know,
proposition
68
grant
money
will
be
available.
I
have
a
meeting
tomorrow
with
the
lady
who
is
going
to
advise
us.
B
J
Way
we
can
take
that
measure,
J
money
that
we're
looking
to
in
kind
of
do
so
so
that
we
know
where
we're
at
right.
The
other
thing
about
the
pickleball
courts
being
built
at
sunrise,
which
is
a
fantastic
idea.
Hopefully
we
can
get
something
similar
to
st.
George,
but
the
amount
of
money
that
the
city
can
generate,
the
revenue
generator
can
be
and
I
knew
will
be
substantial.
So
that's
something
to
look
at
I.
Think
that's
it
for
right
now.
Thank.
E
To
thank
Commissioner
Diaz
for
joining
me
Saturday.
It
was,
and
I
want
to
thank
the
community
for
coming
out.
I
thought
it
actually
went
really
well,
and
people
really
felt
heard
and
I
think
that
before
the
city
makes
decisions,
just
listening
to
people
is
just
crucial.
So
Cynthia
you
guys
did
a
great
job,
I
appreciate
it
and
then
I
went
to
the
1ps
picnic
and
parks.
Rx
was
cranking
it
out,
face-painting
dancing,
you
know
hanging
out
with
families
and
I
thought
well
branded
and
well
represented
and
I
think
you
guys
did
a
great
job.
A
C
What
Ellen
said
was
what
I
was
going
to
zero
in
on
also
at
the
one
PS
picnics
on
Saturday
to
have
our
director
there
on
a
Saturday
was
wonderful
and
to
have
Jasmine
there
and
your
whole
crew.
The
kids
were
loving
the
face
painting
and
it
was
one
of
the
highlights
of
the
day
and
I
would
just
want
to
thank
for
making
the
parks
department
look
so
good.
A
Answer
your
your
staff
rocks,
they
do
what
they
do
for
us.
At
a
village
fest
at
at
picnics,
like
1ps
at
National,
Night
Out
I
mean
they're
there.
The
booth
at
national
light
out
we've
got
all
this
equipment
out
there
with
police,
and
you
know
horses
and
the
kids
they're
lined
up
in
front
of
parks
and
recs
cuz
they're,
either
gonna
paint
something
or
they're
gonna
get
their
faces
painted.
So
I
will
only
ask
people
to
remember
to
get
first
day
of
camp
on
your
agenda
so
that
you
can
come
to
kick
it
off.
A
A
It's
we
I
again,
I
just
go
for
opening
day
and
and
then
one
more
day
during
the
season
when
we
do
the
police
event,
but
it's
it's
remarkable
what
what
goes
on
so,
if
you
guys
all
get
a
chance
I,
just
it's
great
to
take
a
bow
and
say
you
know
to
the
kids,
we're
really
glad
we
get
to
do
this.
For
you
so
great.
The
last
thing
I
was
gonna,
ask
is
lights
underneath
part.
A
Eventually,
better
lighting
would
would
do
you
know,
cast
down
and
broader
down,
but
I
do
drive
around
to
move
park.
Sometimes
in
the
evening
you'll
see
those
lights
are
visible
very
a
long
period
of
time,
and
there
are
a
lot
of
houses
that
have
dart
dart
out
the
front
of
the
houses,
so
that
they're
not
seeing
it.
So
we'll
talk
about
that.
Then
staff
updates
anything
that
you
have.
B
Well,
first
and
foremost,
let
me
thank
you
for
being
patient
with
me
as
I
grow
in
the
city
of
Palm
Springs
and
get
all
my
knowledge
on
the
history
of
what
Palm
Springs
is
in
the
department
and
everything
that
they
were
working
on
prior
to
me.
Getting
here.
So
thank
you
and
so
to
give
you
some
updates
on
what's
going
on
and
what
we're
working
on,
as
I
mentioned
before
pickleball
resurfacing
and
restriping
will
start
March
8th
the
pool
project
to
replace
the
heater
and
the
filtration
system
will
start
April
9th
through
the
25th.
I
B
Let's
see
spring
camp
will
be
starting
will
be
April
15th
through
the
26th.
We
have
camp
chicka,
pou
and
then
our
regular
spring
camp
camp,
Jay
Kapoor,
will
host
our
three-year-olds
to
our
four
year
old
nine-month
group,
and
then
the
regular
camp
will
do
TK
all
the
way
through
I
believe
it
was
eighth
grade.
I
have
fliers
in
the
back,
for
you
guys
for
the
camps
and
for
all
James
Oh
Jessie
the
camp
that
will
take
place
at
the
leisure
center
in
camp
checkup.
B
Ooh
I
also
have
a
front
and
back
informational
sheet
for
what
is
happening
and
being
programmed
at
demuth
community
center
I
am
working
on
updating,
expired
contracts,
so
I'm
looking
at
executing
a
few,
hopefully
in
the
next
week
or
two,
we
will
also
be
adding
a
new
contract
class
to
demuth.
It
will
be
another
fitness
class
and
you
actually
will
see
some
of
that
fitness
class
bidding
on
the
outside
on
the
grass
area
to
encourage
some
of
our
patrons
to
come
and
participate.
B
We
will
have
an
electric
blower
demonstration
on
Thursday
at
the
Moose
park
from
8
a.m.
to
5
p.m.
this
Thursday,
the
electric
blowers.
We
have
the
sustainability
sustainability's,
going
from
there,
yep
no
more
gas
to
just
the
electric,
so
they
will
have
a
crew
out
there,
that'll
be
helping
the
community
do
a
demo,
8
a.m.
to
5
p.m.
on
field,
7
&
8,
and
they
will
be
working
out
of
the
snack
bar
area.
They
may
expand
a
little
bit
past
those
fields
into
the
more
open
grass
area.
B
So
if
you
see
a
lot
of
trucks
there
with
a
lot
of
machinery,
that's
what
they're
there
for
I
will
be
posting
their
flyer
on
our
Facebook
page
to
also
help
advertise
that
and
then
sustainability
will
be
attending
our
next
Commission
meeting
to
talk
about
the
signage
for
the
trails
and
I.
Think
that's
about
it!
For
me,.
A
Energy
running
or
walking
run
for
Ike,
so
everybody
knows
Ike
was
a
police
dog
that
was
murdered
or
died
in
the
line
of
duty
so
well.
Thank
you
very
much.
This
was
a
great
meeting,
I
appreciate
all
that
you
all
bring
to
the
table
and
we
will
adjourn
to
our
next
meeting,
which
is
Monday
April
22nd
at
4:30
here
in
the
large
conference
room.
Thank
you
and
