From YouTube: Join the Plano City Council in Donating to the North Texas Food Bank's 2020 Peanut Butter Drive

September 1st kicks off the 7th annual Collin County Spread the Hope Peanut Butter Drive. Last year, Plano set a goal to collect 100,000 pounds of peanut butter. Instead, working together we raised over 190,000 pounds of peanut butter to feed the hungry in our community. With the COVID-19 pandemic, food insecurity is at record levels. The need is great and our partners at the North Texas Food Bank have more than doubled their food distribution. Your participation in this year’s Collin County Peanut Butter Drive can help more people than ever if you choose to donate virtually. Each dollar you donate on the Peanut Butter Drive campaign platform equals one pound of peanut butter. That means one dollar provides a hungry North Texan with a 16 ounce jar of peanut butter.

Participating is easy. Simply set up your own fundraiser on the Peanut Butter Drive campaign platform at

You can still donate physical peanut butter. Deliver 16 ounce plastic jars of any brand of peanut, or other butter, to the North Texas Food Bank’s Plano campus at 3677 Mapleshade Lane.

This year, many of our neighbors are experiencing hunger for the first time in their lives. You can help. You can provide hope. Please join the Plano City Council in donating generously to the Virtual Collin County Peanut Butter Drive.
