Description
1.23.2023 Arts and Nonprofits Committee
A
From
the
new
cultural
planning
subcommittee
of
this
committee
and
we've
got
a
full.
A
A
Week,
committee
member
courtney,
perkins
lost
her
sister
and
so
and-
and
I
just
like
to
take
him.
A
Thank
you,
everyone,
and
I
want
courtney
and
martha
to
know
that
they're
in
our
thoughts
and.
A
A
A
A
Americans
and
they
will
be
participating
in
that
community
and
then
there's
room.
I
believe
for.
B
Yes,
sorry,
it's
just
that
because
I'm
trying
to
do
the
minutes
here
remotely.
Could
you
quickly
go.
A
And
arts
center
and
then,
let's
start
with
beth
online.
So
we
have
every
one
of
this
in
the
room
to.
A
Get
to
know
people
beth,
falconer,
3s,
art
space,
robin
albert
community,
member
jerianne,.
A
Oh
you're,
on
a
muturian,
I
apologize
me
jerry
ann
bogus
black.
A
A
I
think
that
might
have
been
on
the
agenda,
but
I
can't
remember
probably
it's
been
a
while.
B
A
Meeting
just
because
we
got
to
start
a
little
late
today,
so
we'll
hold
off
the
minutes.
A
Approval
until
the
next
meeting,
so
let's
move
on
to
the
american
for
the
arts
study
robin.
F
Renee,
if,
if
it's
okay,
I've
got
my
notes
and
I'll
take
it
as
of
january
4th,
we
had
719
surveys.
F
F
F
F
Talk
about
a
visit
that
we've
had
in
the
past
by
randy
cohen,
the
vice
president
of
research
for.
F
All
of
the
research
and
his
tour
starts
october
23rd,
so
we
have
to
pick
what
we
want
them
to
do.
F
And
also
you
know,
sample
press
releases
and
stuff
like
that.
So
my
question
to
you
guys
is.
G
That's
because
nobody
was
talking
it's
because
I
was
muted,
ellen
feinberg.
E
A
F
F
Kind
of
a
chamber
presentation:
well,
I
think
that
the
offer
is
there
for
the
from
the
chamber.
G
To
co-host
and
any
sort
of
educational
event
that
you'd
like
I
thought
it
was
that
last
time
I.
G
Thought
we
did
it
at
3s,
but
I
could
be
wrong
but
we'd
be
happy
to
put
together.
You
know
a.
G
F
Okay,
so
others
yeah
robin
I
mean
if
it's
not
broken,
don't
fix
it
right.
I
remember
it.
H
H
H
F
B
Yes,
karen
this
as
well
so
unfortunately
well,
the
problem
is,
we
have
him
for
october
23rd
and.
B
F
Rotary-
and
we
can
also
do
the
breakfast
and
find
a
venue
for
that
right
and
I
do
believe
last.
F
F
F
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
I'm
going
to
have
best
speak,
but
we'll
figure
out
if
doing
rotary
and
chamber
this
time
around.
A
A
A
Comment:
yeah
hi.
I
just
I
wondered
if
there
was
also
a
way
of
getting
more
specifically
in
front.
I
Foundation,
piscataqua
region
folks,
are
there
in
the
room
and
I
would
really
love
the
new.
J
F
F
A
A
G
So
that's
pretty
fresh
in
my
mind
that
that
was
one
of
my
first
events.
Okay,
I
was
just
gonna.
E
E
E
If
we
can
get
some
statewide
publications
also
to
publish
that
data,
I
think
that's
an
excellent.
A
H
For
the
state
arts
council,
so
I
was
planning
to
attend
if
somebody
else
is
going
to
attend.
Maybe.
A
Performing
arts
and
presenting
meaning
I
do
the
tuesday
publicizing
partnership
meeting.
A
I'm
very
nice
to
talk
to
her
about
as
well,
but
I
think
that
there's
a
good
point
there
that.
A
A
Ahead,
well
now
that
we
have
this
list,
I'd
be
happy
to
work
with
the
other
chambers
around.
G
F
You
know,
and
as
a
committee,
obviously
we're
not
going
to
be
getting
the
data
until
the
fall.
E
E
E
C
Guess
go
ahead
and
yeah
yeah
this
renee.
What
I'm
thinking
is,
does
he
have
24
hours
to.
C
C
Other
arts,
you
know
the
other
communities
that
are
participating
in
this.
You
know
what
I'm
saying.
C
H
If
I
may
interject,
why
don't
we
do
this?
If,
if
ben
and
russ
are
going
to
work
on
a
date
and
ben.
H
F
F
Okay,
yeah
and
again
just
a
reminder
to
please
do
surveys
and
we'll
send
an.
A
Organization
surveys,
because
I
haven't
seen
something
come
across
my
desk
yet
and
I
want.
C
A
Our
cultural
clan
subcommittee,
so
I'm
just
going
to
speak
for
a
minute
and
then
one
two.
J
A
So
welcome
to
this
group,
the
committee
that
you're
sitting
in
on
today
is
the
portsmouth
arts.
A
A
A
A
Arts
nonprofits
and,
to
certain
degree,
cultural
nonprofits
as
well
within
our
community.
We.
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
Alternates
that
are
currently
appointed
by
by
the
mayor
to
be
on
this
committee,
but
also.
A
A
few
numbers
from
listed
as
well
so
barbara
and
I
worked
together
to
identify
a
schedule
and.
A
We
figured
that
group
meetings
once
a
month
and
we've
been
doing
our
games
on
mondays
at
noon.
A
And
start
to
work
through
the
process
of
developing
a
new
cultural
plan.
So
I
I
will,
in.
A
A
Do
the
I
I
do
want
to
thank
everyone
who
put
their
names
forward.
We
weren't
able
to
put.
A
A
What
we
did
was
we
tried
to
find
people
from
different
backgrounds,
different
perspectives.
H
And
go
ahead:
barbara
russ,
just
one
more
thing
before
people
introduce
themselves.
H
H
H
H
H
H
A
Saying
that,
and
one
of
the
things
that
I'm
really
happy
about
among
many
of
this,
is
that.
E
E
A
very
active
community
member
and
I
I'm
very
excited
about
the
opportunity
of.
J
K
Point
I
just
retired,
from
a
career
working
in
history,
museums,
I
lived
in
portsmouth.
K
L
Thanks,
can
you
pull
the
microphone
a
little
closer
together
good
afternoon
everybody
back
there.
L
Alan
chase
recent
community
member
retired
navy
officer
from
cape
cod
native-
I
guess
why.
L
I
I
wanted
to
be
a
part
of
this
organization,
was,
I
think,
about
24
years,
maybe
all
over.
L
The
place
19
of
those
were
overseas
and
one
of
the
things
that
I've
always
found
helpful.
L
And
rewarding
is
to
get
involved,
so
do
the
same
here.
Hopefully
a
lot
of
the
arts
background.
L
That
I've
seen
both
grown
up
and
across
the
world
and
the
project
management
experience
that.
M
About
40
years
at
my
local
furniture
maker,
I've
been
involved
in
the
course
for
the.
M
But
that
gave
me
a
lot
of
consideration
for
input
type
processes.
What
motivated
me.
M
That
I
thought
there'd
be
the
representation
for
people
who
make
stops,
and
you
know
I
think
in.
M
K
K
My
my
interest
is
in
I
have
a
background
of
servant.
Leadership
back
in
my
days
at
st.
J
Paul
minnesota,
where
a
cycle
of
16
years,
working
with
city
councils
and
whatnot.
J
I'm
very
interested
in
the
community
and
you
know
doing
what
I
can
to
contribute
down.
N
You
moved
up
to
what's
migrated
from
newburyport
about
three
years
ago,
although
my
husband
grew.
N
Up
here-
and
I
excuse
me
so
sorry,
but
those
of
us
that
are
on
zoom,
didn't
hear
anything.
H
H
N
Out
from
newburyport
mass
about
three
years
ago,
my
husband,
james,
with
grew
up
in
this
community.
N
So
we're
very
happy
to
be
here.
It's
a
it's,
a
wonderful
community,
I'm
a
mixed
media
artist.
N
Although
I
ran
a
creative
graphic
arts
printing
company,
so
self-employed
for.
N
Community
up
here
to
help
in
any
way
to
to
review
this
plan.
I
I
think
it's
a
fascinating.
O
New
to
portsmouth,
I
just
moved
here
with
my
husband
last
year.
I
just
started
up.
O
A
Thank
you
karen,
and
I
think
the
last
person
we
have
on
the
call
is
tom.
Are
you
able
to
unmute
tom.
P
I
have
a
couple
interests
in
the
in
the
group.
One
was
to
make
sure
all
of
our
stories
and.
P
With
a
lot
of
the
historical
groups
in
town,
just
worried
about
not
being
able
to
have
enough.
P
A
Right
two
of
the
alternates
that
are
not
present
are
suzanne,
danforth
and
ed,
simeon.
H
A
All
right,
so
you
know
the
purpose
of
inviting
you
to
be
at
the
meeting
today.
One
was
for
us
to.
A
Get
to
meet
you
and
for
you
to
get
to
us
because
we
meet
typically
on
the
third.
A
Monday
of
the
month,
all
of
our
meetings
are
recorded
and
this
posted
on
this
youtube
site.
I.
A
A
Who's
obviously
called
myself
are
co-chairing
this.
This
committee,
the
arts
and
nonprofits.
A
A
And
barbara
had
sent
the
initial
email
inviting
into
today
and
I'm
copied
on
that.
So.
A
You
should
have
my
email
address
as
well,
and
we
still
have
a
little
bit
of
finessing
that
we.
A
A
That
for
the
southern
committee,
because
it's
a
subcommittee
there
will
not
be
a
requirement.
A
Of
posting
videos
of
every
single
meeting
we
will
just
have
to
submit
minutes
for
each
meeting.
A
A
Having
meetings
in
actual
different
locations,
maybe
at
music
hall,
maybe
at
starbucks,
maybe
at.
A
The
disco
portsmouth
center
or
other
various
locations
throughout
the
community
so
that
there's.
A
A
Well,
but
you
know
we'll
figure
out
all
of
this
as
we
go
along
barbara.
What
am
I
forgetting.
H
H
Able
to
see
your
emails,
that's
one
and
the
second
one
is:
I'm
I'm
thinking
that
you're,
not
all.
As.
H
I
hope
we
didn't
scare
anybody.
It's
believe
me
it's
and
I
will
tell
you,
I
think,
russ.
H
H
To
copy
all
and
then
russ-
and
I
will
discuss
that
and
introduce
that
at
your
first
meeting.
H
H
To
proceed
with
meetings
that
would
be
super
helpful
thanks.
I
was
just
gonna
note
that.
A
M
A
Better
out
to
you
today
and
then
the
alternates.
Basically,
what
we
were
thinking
was
to
keep
the.
A
A
A
Anything
that
requires
a
vote
of
the
subcommittee.
They
are
not
voting
members,
but
they're
present.
A
A
A
A
At
the
providing
subcommittee
meetings
as
well,
barbara
and
several
of
the
other
committee
members.
A
A
A
A
A
Any
questions
just
a
comment
yeah.
Obviously
you
talk
about
distributing
the
digital
version.
A
A
Another,
the
singers,
so
a
lot
of
those
people
are
still
around
and
might
be
called
upon
again.
A
E
Us
this
committee
electronic
version
of
that
as
well
yeah.
K
A
A
Who's
sitting
on
the
subcommittee
to
assist
by
if,
if
you're
able
to
do
a
little
web
hunting
and.
A
Seeing
up
with
something
that
maybe
we
don't
find,
I
didn't
do
that
together
other,
but.
