4.21.2022 School Board
A
Do
you
want
to
open
this
bus
for
us
sure
we
have
plenty
of
guest
speakers
tonight
so
much.
B
B
B
So
they're
here
to
present
to
you
and
then
I
think
the.
C
So
thank
you
for
the
opportunity
to
come
and
speak
publicly
about
discipline.
C
C
C
Specific
to
the
extracurricular
and
co-curricular
eligibility
policy.
C
And
hopefully
take
an
opportunity
to
kind
of
walk
you
through
that
process.
C
Detailed
information,
whatever
the
infraction
is
and
and
then
I
contact,
advisors
and
athletics.
C
To
see
if
any
of
the
students
participate
in
in
activities
for
those
that
do
a
disciplinary.
C
C
Well,
as
the
student
and
the
parents,
we
ask
them
to
just
tell
us
about
the
what
happened
and.
C
C
Says
it's
an
informal
discussion,
but
you
know
I'm
sure
it
doesn't
feel
like
that
for
the
student.
C
C
Will
happen
as
a
result,
the
committee
then
meets
privately
and
typically
communicates.
C
And
that's
basically
the
process
for
the
disciplinary
committee
under
the
policy
iga.
C
We
have
in
the
athletics.
The
committee
consists
of
the
athletic
director
myself
and.
C
A
coach,
and
then
we
do
the
same
thing
with
a
situation
with
performing
arts,
for
instance,.
C
Thing
but
typically
it's
a
committee
of
three.
Sometimes
we
have
met
in
the
past.
C
It's
only
two
people
can
meet.
I
know
that
typically,
kids
are
gonna
like
anxious
to
get
the.
C
Situation,
sort
of
resolved
so
schedules
and
stops.
We
have
had.
B
Thanks
for
having
us,
so
you
know
just
like
during
the
day
party
or
that
kind
of
a
show.
B
The
overall
content
of
that,
what
we're
trying
to
do
when
we
work
with
kids.
So
I
would
say
that.
B
First
of
all,
I
think
in
the
short
term,
like
when
you're
actually
like
talking
with
a
kid.
B
B
Right,
you
want
that
kid
to
always
know
and
always
feel
to
the
best
of
your.
B
B
Because
it's
injurious
to
themselves
or
injurious
to
others
and
then
I
think.
B
B
B
But
you
know
you
want
to
make
sure
that
you
have
a
lot
of
interaction
with
them
when
they're.
B
And
you
know,
conversely,
when
they
aren't
in
trouble
or
like.
Let
them
know
that,
like.
B
B
B
B
B
Know
if
it's
like
a
random
event
or
like
a
student
that
talked
to
me
this
morning,.
B
B
Assigning
a
consequence
again,
depending
on
the.
B
B
B
That
kind
of
thing,
let's
rehearse,
that
we
always
back
it
up
when
you
start
then
again,
depending.
B
B
B
B
B
B
C
So
I
I
can
echo
everything
that
charlie
has
said,
but
I
thought
it
would
make
sense,
maybe
to
walk.
B
We
work
as
a
team
within
the
school
because
there's
many
players
involved
in
us
and
it
starts.
B
A
There
was
a
time
a
a
number
of
years
ago.
You
look
at
what
they
speak,
how
the
state
comments.
B
B
The
number
of
years
later
it's
been
seven
or
eight
years
now
and
they
said
no
henry's
too
much.
A
Five
days
doesn't
give
us
enough
time
to
intervene
with
students.
It
doesn't
give
us.
A
You
the
number
of
alarm
clocks.
I
bought
you
handed
out
two
students,
things
like
that.
A
B
B
B
B
A
And
why
it's
so
significant
for
students
to
attend
school
in
terms
of
their
success,
their.
A
Future
success,
the
opportunities
they
have.
Next,
we
would
send
a
letter
as
a
second
letter
that.
A
Goes
out
that's
more
about
what
the
policy
is,
what
the
procedures,
what
the
consequences
can
be.
A
And
it's
it's
a
little
more
directed
at
the
intervention
side
and
sort
of
proactive
side.
C
C
C
C
C
Different
things
and
that's
the
point
at
which
we
we'll
then
make
a
call
or
we
go
to
court
to.
C
B
And
you
know
those
are
the
kids
that
later
on
come
back
and
you
know
we
filled
that
rapport
with.
A
A
A
After
this
and
the
board
will
ask
questions,
okay,
so
make
sure
you
take
the
numbers:
okay,.
B
B
Actually,
in
the
high
school
working
with
the
athletic
department,
since
2006.
B
And
kind
of
just
echo
on
what
mary
was
saying
before
so
when
we
meet
the.
B
B
B
So
it's
a
really
hard
policy
and
the
kids
come
in
mary's,
absolutely
right.
One
of
the.
B
This
doesn't
define
who
you
are.
I
usually
tell
the
kids
that
I
hope
this
is
the
last
time
I
ever.
B
See
you
in
this
situation,
because
I
believe
that
I
know
that
they're
very
uncomfortable.
I.
B
B
B
Defined
in
the
school
board
policy,
as
of
today,
it
was
there
a
few
years
ago.
I
remember
in.
B
2018,
I
sent
it
to
a
bunch
of
you
last
wednesday
that
was
probably
the
worst
day
of
my
life
when.
B
New
guy
you're,
the
athletic
brat,
so
all
of
a
sudden
you
become
bad
cop.
You
know
like
these
two.
B
The
story
usually,
is
that
I
went
to
the
house
didn't
know
there
was
going
to
be
alcohol,
but.
B
B
B
B
Going
to
be
here
tonight
who
talk
after
me
that
probably
going
to
sit
around
and
say
that
it's.
B
B
Athletes
that
are
getting
punished
now.
This
is
where
the
whole
gray,
you
know
great
today,.
B
Leading
by
example,
with
positive
lifestyle-
and
you
know
healthy
choices
with
their
life
and.
B
B
Shawn
and
charlie
andy
mary,
I
know
myself,
we
have
knowledge
of
what's
going
on
around
town.
B
B
You
know,
which
I
think
is
irrelevant
if
I
made
bad
decisions
and
I'm
in
a
position
now
to
try.
B
B
And
it's
a
great
program
through
the
nhia
kids,
had
to
do
a
survey
on
unhealthy
lifestyles
and.
B
So,
but
we
we
one
month,
one
wednesday
of
each
month
to
talk
about
different
things.
As
far
as.
B
Healthy
lifestyles
and
leadership-
and
you
know
it's
it's
very
impactful
and.
B
B
They
aren't
going
into
schools
to
do
trainings
right
now.
They
weren't,
because
there
were
so
many.
B
Different
protocols,
some
schools
were
closed,
we're
in
we're
hoping
that
that
happens
again.
B
So
I
mean
I
hate
to
say:
I
see
I
kind
of
see
both
sides
of
this
policy
and
how
parents
can.
B
Wear
them
off
for
a
while,
but
but
I
think
most
of
their
penalty
phase
of
most
of
the
kids
is
over.
B
It
they
did
their
service.
B
We
were
the
kids
that
we
were,
you
know,
kind
of
putting
them
in
the
corner
and
not.
B
And
that's
the
furthest
from
the
truth.
It
was
the
life
of
the
athlete
I
just
turned.
B
B
B
Could
have
been
up
to
50
they
all
they
all.
As
far
as
I
know
in
this
current
situation,
they've.
B
Gotten
the
trust
back
of
the
teammates
and
some
of
them
more
impactful
than
others.
You
know
the.
B
Team
members,
and
over
the
years
we've
seen
that
as
well
and
so.
B
B
Actually,
law,
schools
just
to
see
what
their
policies
were.
I
don't
know
if
you
guys
have
looked.
B
At
theirs
at
all-
or
I
just
thought
it
was
kind
of
interesting,
but
I
asked
a
couple
sent.
B
A
couple
questions
I
said:
if
a
student
athlete
is
quote
unquote
in
the
presence
of
alcohol
drugs.
B
The
student
athlete
and
if
yes,
what
is
the
penalty,
do
you
have
a
drug
and
alcohol
policy.
B
B
Your
policy
that,
with
community
service,
etc,
the
student
athlete
can
work
off
a
portion
of
the.
B
Punishment
does
your
local
police
department
share
police
reports
describing
the
events.
B
From
this,
for
instance,
will
take
winter
cut,
it
winneconne
does
have
an
in
the
presence
policy.
B
School,
administrative-
it
doesn't
actually
come
from
the
athletic
department
where
they.
B
They're
suspended
for
15
days
for
first
offense,
there's
there
if
they
have
a.
B
Second,
offense
being
the
president's
we're
not
even
talking
about
drinking
or.
B
Anything
else,
just
in
the
present
it's
a
one-year
ban
from
all
extracurriculars.
B
And
then
I'm
sorry
in
one
year,
man
and
then
lifetime
advantage
for
your
third
events.
B
Five
days
student
needs
with
the
substance,
abuse,
counselor
and
all
of
our
kids
are
are
asked
to.
B
That
you
have
a
drinking
problem
or
a
drug
problem.
It
was
more
of
just
to
talk
to
ireland
about.
B
Making
positive
decisions
in
the
future
again:
this
is
all.
B
Somewhat,
you
know
trivial
sometimes
about
their
information.
Dover,
high
school.
B
The
season,
if
you're
caught
drinking
possessing,
drugging,
smoking
and
vaping
it's
in
season
only.
B
B
Hinkerton
academy,
yes,
knowingly
being
in
the
presence
of
alcohol.
B
As
far
as
it
happens
and
whatever
takes
place,
but
I've
heard
from
coaches
and
parents
saying
that.
B
B
Try
to
get
a
little
of
the
gray
out
of
here
so
and
get
it
a
little
more
black
and
light
concrete.
B
B
Name
last
year
we
adopted
the
final
forms
program,
software
that
came
into
our
schools.
B
Athletes
and
they
can
upload
their
physicals
coaches,
have
their
physicals
on
their
phone
now.
So.
B
So
the
kids
will
come
into
karen's
office,
can't
tell
mike's
office
year
round
and.
B
B
B
B
B
Well,
I
used
to
do
because
rusty
stopped
doing
them
was
I
sport
team.
B
B
George
yeah,
he
didn't
stay
around
george,
but
I
mean
that
would
be
the
the
next
option.
I
think.
B
For
that,
so
they
would
be
able
to
see
a
video
and
then
watch
it
and
then
check
off,
especially.
B
Those
things
are
going
to
be
installed
and
implemented,
and
and,
like
you
know,
we.
B
Put
a
new
one
in
so
I
guess
I
guess
I'm
good
right
now.
If
anybody
wants
any
questions
for
me.
B
A
A
Thank
you
guys.
Yes
thank
you
for
having
us
so
first,
I
want
to
read
something
from
a
fellow.
A
Student
athlete
maya
patino,
I
have
a
sort
of
so
with
me.
My
name
is
maya
katino
and
I'm.
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
My
opinion,
I
personally
think
that
you
know
presence
policy.
The
extracurricular
agreement
at.
A
Phs
does
a
lot
more
harm
than
it
could
do
good.
My
primary
concern
with
the
policy
is
the.
A
A
And
not
drink,
rather
than
punishing
any
student
perception
being
around
alcohol
and.
A
While
I
understand
that
in
a
perfect
world
high
school
students
wouldn't
drink
altogether,.
A
A
Support
against
drinking
high
school
students
are
going
to
drink,
they
experiment
it's
what.
A
B
Even
punishment
for
everyone
and
should
not
only
impact
athletes,
the
policy
is
in
place
now
only.
B
B
B
A
Nick,
do
you
want
to
go
next,
yeah
sure
so,
yeah,
I'm
glad
we're
having
this
discussion.
B
A
With
this
policy
mainly
wise-
and
I
think
this
is
a
pretty
common
opinion-
any
equal
punishment
for.
B
Students
in
the
presence
of
alcohol
or
drug
use,
and
what
I'd
like
to
do
here
is
just
emphasize.
B
B
Who
do
to
themselves
and
others?
And
although
I
acknowledge
that
the
present
that
presence
at.
B
B
B
B
To
punish
students,
or
this
facet
of
the
politicians
fairly
harshly
and
with
no
prior.
B
B
I
understand
that
athletes
are
held
to
a
higher
standard.
I
understand
that
there's
the
drive
to.
B
A
Yeah,
so
you
know
it's
not
just:
it
affects
as
well.
B
B
B
B
A
Hello,
thank
you
for
having
me,
so
I
guess
I'll
be
kind
of
overarching
for
part
of
my.
A
Role
with
those
restorative
piece,
so
it's
almost
two-fold
when
it
comes
to
restorative.
A
Options
that
works
with
high
school-
I
often
get
my
referrals.
Usually
I
get
them
from
admin.
A
And
it's
usually
involving
a
substance
abuse
violation
within
the
policy.
A
And
when
the
way
our
policy
works,
this
is,
if
you
were
on
school
grounds,
it's
a
five-day.
A
A
If
it
happens
again,
usually
it's
a
10
day
in
school
suspension.
I
often
meet
with
that.
A
So
that's
that
piece
and
then
when
it
comes
to
the
situation
that
had
arose,
I
guess.
A
In
february
I
provided
a
list,
and
so
I
part
of
my
role
is
within
the
policy.
It
says.
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
17
year
old,
it's
not
going
too
great,
so
I
meet
with
them
and
if
they
meet.
A
Hold
yourself
accountable
as
you
move
forward,
and
so
fear
eventually
goes
when
I
think
all
of
us.
A
A
To
process
that
decision,
with
myself
from
a
licensed
clinical
mental
health,
counselor.
A
A
Can
do
it
with
those
folks
as
well,
there's
also
a
restorative
part
to
that
meeting.
You
know
with.
A
A
B
A
A
A
Ideally,
I
can't
continue
to
keep
doing
that
as
the
outreach
sap
and
as
far
as
the
substance
use.
A
There
should
be
a
separate
whether
it's
some
subcontracted
a
lead
act
that
can
help.
A
A
A
A
And
charging
them
so
I
know
my
piece
is
really
small
and
I'll
be
happy
to
answer
any
questions.
B
Walk
with
sash
and
the
golden
session
really
mean
something
to
them,
so
I'm
just
going
to.
B
Read
a
little
bit-
and
this
is
very
short-
and
this
is
on
their
application
when
they.
B
B
But
I'm
just
going
to
read
the
the
character
and
the
leadership,
so
the
character
description
is.
B
B
B
B
Leadership
is
the
description.
Is
leadership
is
demonstrated
by
a
student's
ability
to
gain.
B
B
B
It's
a
pretty
big
group,
so
in
the
first
the
first
meeting,
what
I
say
to
them
is
I
go
through.
B
We
sometimes
hear
from
teachers
who
say
this
happened
in
our
class.
We
had
a
situation
where.
B
Them
turned
out
that
they
weren't
really
involved
with
us
in
this
situation.
So
but
we
we
wanted.
B
B
National
arms
is
like
kids
at
work,
and
you
know
with
our
friends
or
wherever
they
are.
B
And
we
want
to
set
that
high
standard.
So
that's
what
I
instill
in
and
and
during
that,
when
we.
B
That
you're
not
just
giving
up
your
hours
your
volunteer
hours
and
thinking
that's
enough.
B
National
honor
society,
because
it's
really
a
designation
and
we
wanted
to
it's
a
status
and.
B
We
take
attendance
on
that
so,
if
a
kid
doesn't
admit
it
misses.
B
A
meeting
that
we
have
an
executive
board
which
are
five
students
and
they
will
they
are.
B
B
B
B
And
if
they
don't
do
this,
then
in
a
timely
manner
that
it's
due
every
month.
B
But
we
try
to
give
them
a
little
bit
of
leeway
as
well
as
a
few
days.
You
know
in.
B
Like
after
vacation,
a
number
of
the
kids
had,
you
know
were
away
and
things
like
that,
and
they.
B
Didn't
get
their
hours
in
so
we
you
know
they
were
late,
and
that
was
fine
as
far
as
this
situation.
B
This
isn't
a
punitive
in
in
the
national
honor
society
case.
This
isn't
a
punitive
matter.
B
Live
up,
we
didn't
four
pillars,
and
so,
if
we,
if
we
don't,
if
we
let
kids
slide
on
those
four.
B
B
So
you
know
this
is
kind
of
a
situation
where
you
know
that
if
you're
in
the
presence.
B
We
don't
expect
you
to,
you,
know,
tell
kids,
you
know,
put
that
alcohol
away
and
and
like
he
expects.
B
You
to
make
the
choices
to
not
be
put
in
that
situation.
That's
one
of
the
things
I
said
is.
B
B
B
B
B
The
character
of
the
kid
at
all
I
mean
they're,
just
they're,
not
natural
in
our
society,
so.
B
I
don't
think
we
had
anybody
else,
but
I
would
just
sort
of
close
this
part
by
saying.
B
Committee,
some
of
the
materials
around
life
was
talking
about
not
to
get
into
detail
now.
I
think.
B
Frame
around
restorative
practices,
particularly
around
building
out
student
leadership,.
B
Character,
we
would,
I
guess,
in
closing,
I
would
say
we
want
students
to
be
leaders.
B
And
you
know
I
actually
spoke
last
week
at
the
so
I'll
try
to
keep
things
brief
today.
That's.
B
Right,
I'm
sure
it's
what
happened
just
all
of
us
weren't
at
the
policy
meeting.
It.
B
I
did
coming
out
of
that
meeting.
I
think
there
were
some
points
that
I
just
wanted.
B
To
re-emphasize-
and
I
also
just
had
some
questions
that
I
wanted
to
make
sure
we're.
B
Kind
of
addressed
today,
if
possible-
and
I
think
there's
two
things
here-
there's
the.
B
Of
them
are
ranked
right,
and
so
in
terms
of
the
policy,
I
think
it's
really
important.
B
B
B
B
Their
policies,
which
was
really
helpful
when
I
think
of
a
student
being
at
school,
I
would.
B
Look
to
the
administration
for
their
safety
right.
I
think
the
administration
would
say
they.
B
B
B
B
B
B
Afterwards,
either
it's
students
or
the
parents
or
whoever
you
can
get
access
to
police
records.
B
Prove
whether
someone's
been
consuming
alcohol
or
or
if
you
know
possessing
it,.
B
Of
off-campus
policy
works.
If
that
were
the
case,
why
is
there
not
something
similar
on
the.
B
Sort
of
the
inconsistencies
between
the
policies-
okay,
you
have
three
minutes.
Unfortunately,
okay.
A
Christinemonkey898
maplewood
avenue-
I
just
wanted
to
say
a
couple
things.
First,.
A
A
A
And
I
don't
think
they're
the
same
thing
at
all.
The
other
comment
that
athletes.
A
And
so
I
imagine
that
the
policy
was
put
in
place
to
prevent
drinking
by
teens.
But
as.
A
A
Is
alex
mcconnell?
I
live
at
960
made
wood,
I'm
not
as
organized
for
my
views
over
here,
but.
A
I
wrote
a
few
things
down.
I
have
a
few
concerns
about
what
I've
heard,
but
one
is.
A
A
A
I'm
concerned
about
that
kids
are
coming
to
parties
with
friends.
They
have
a
designated
driver.
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
I
heard
on
some
of
the
comments
and
some
of
the
things
during
cause's
presentation
and
I
just.
A
Leading
just
on
what
caused
had
said
is
I
actually
did
the
same
thing
and
contacted
roughly.
A
A
Of
alcohol
and
drugs
clause,
something
else
that
they
do
do
is
they
do
take
into.
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
Thank
you
monica,
and
we
have
one
more
resume
one
more
currently
andrew
bagley
andrew.
I
guess
hi.
B
The
high
school
freshman,
so
we
may
not
have
faced
all
the
challenges,
but
we
certainly
faced.
B
B
And
and
some
of
the
other
parents
that
spoke
tonight,
it's
important
that
we
follow
policy.
B
And
it
sounds
to
me
that
we
have
a
pretty
flawed
policy.
You
know
the
safety
of
children
should.
B
Over
in
that
area,
so
maybe
I've
misunderstood
some
things.
One
of
the
things
that
I
keep.
B
B
This
policy,
by
the
letter
of
the
rule,
I
think
the
policy
needs
to
be
crafted
in
a
way.
That's.
B
That
there's
some
unintended
con
consequences
of
these
types
of
policies,
but
we
really
should
be.
C
The
way
it
was
written
now-
and
I
know
I
think
sandy
was
on
the
disciplinary
committee
at
the.
C
Time
when
the
phrase
in
the
presence
of
what's
not
in
the
policy
and
and
I'm
not
married.
C
C
It
was
a
thoughtful
decision
at
the
time
around
the
the
issue
of
what
we
were
faced
with.
C
C
Police
department
from
our
sro
and
it's
it's
not
just
a
list
of
names,
it's
a
full
description.
C
Information
until
it
was
requested
by
a
parent,
but
we
do
get.
You
know
a
thorough.
C
Police
report,
that
that
says,
everything
names,
the
people
involved
and
so
on.
So
we
take.
C
That
information
to
make
a
decision
and
what
was
happening
you
know
years
ago,
when
the
language.
C
C
C
Would
have
no
one
drinking
and
it
was
you
know,
a
party
which
clearly,
with
the
amount
of
alcohol.
C
Of
cups,
all
over
the
place
that
this
happened
and
this
happened
and
and
then
the
list
of
students.
C
It's
social
media
plays
a
big
part,
I
mean
it's
out
there,
kids
know
and
whether
you're
faced.
C
Was
unable
to
have
any
kind
of
dealing
with
individuals
who
you
know
clearly
were.
C
For
the
shift
in
the
policy
and-
and
I
I
think
that
when
we
we
have.
C
I
have
concern
over
the
on
the
intent,
I
believe,
to
answer
your
question.
Nick
when
we
were
around.
C
The
policy
or
attending
the
policy
committee
and
listening
to
the
board
at
the
time
the
intent.
C
C
I
steve
and
I
both
attended
the
training
from
nhia
around
like
an
athlete
restorative
practice.
C
C
Responsibility
for
your
for
your
action,
but
but
clearly
the
the
and
even
just
the
forming.
C
Of
a
committee
to
make
to
hear
the
the
not
only
have
the
police
report,
all
the
information.
C
C
C
All
those
things
are
taken
into
consideration
by
the
committee
who
deals
with
the
issue.
The
the.
C
C
C
C
Hours
on
a
weekend,
just
knowing,
though
there
is
concern,
you
certainly
don't
want
to
see
and.
C
C
C
Made
in
2020
I
think
people's
hearts
were
in
the
right
place
and,
and
I
but
I
do
think
I
don't.
B
Hello,
california,
I
kind
of
take
offense
to
the
fact
that
you
didn't
reduce
descendants.
B
B
Away
right
off
the
bat,
sorry
I'm
getting
a
little
upset.
I
just
because
we
knew
the
high
character.
B
Kids,
these
are
good
kids.
I
told
every
one
of
the
kids
that
that
got
out
of
honor
society
that.
B
B
Reduce
sentencing
as
well,
so
we
did
all
these
things
and
I
just
need
to
have
that
stated
that.
B
B
B
A
A
B
C
A
Okay,
this
might
complicate
things,
but
my
question
is
for
multiple
people.
A
Would
like
to
hear
very
briefly
like
give
me
one
sentence
about
what
you
think
could
be
done
to.
A
A
Specifically
about
drinking
or
attending
parties
where
there's
alcohol,
what
what
should
we.
A
A
A
Cheerio,
I
think
one
thing
that-
and
this
is
more
direct
towards
not
the
specific
policy
of.
A
A
And
then
they
have
an
intake
session.
So
it's
six
sessions
overall
and
so
and
that's
to.
A
A
A
B
To
kind
of
work
to
try
and
help
students
directly
deal
with
the
problem,
because
it
could
both.
A
Their
identities
to
enjoy,
and
also
apply
to,
people
who
aren't
athletes,
which
I
think.
A
A
A
C
C
And
it's
up
to
the
coach
and
the
student
to
like
work
out
that
piece
and
maybe.
A
A
C
In
the
number
of
occurrences,
because
the
policy
and
then
you
know
like
we
didn't,
have
anything.
C
One
incident
so,
but
before
that,
the
years
that
we
had
the
policy
the
way
it
was
the.
C
A
A
A
A
A
Besides,
when
you
get
a
police
report
that
students
have
been
whenever
there's
a
like
an
actual
law.
A
Their
face
is
on
the
page
for
baseball
the
next
day,
so
I'm
just
a
little
concerned
that
we.
A
In
the
juvenile
justice
system
is
involved,
we're
not
essentially
hazing
these
kids.
A
A
A
You
know
you
know
in
local
quarantine,
you
know
we're
trying
to
discipline
kids.
A
Very
out
of
sync,
with
what
our
schools
are
doing:
okay,
liz.
We
that's
why
we're
here.
A
A
A
A
A
A
B
A
A
C
The
you
know
any
kind
of
school
response
to
behavior
and,
and
so
I
think,
the
intent.
C
Is
for
safety,
and
you
know
to
keep
kids
safe.
It's
not
necessarily
looking
at.
A
C
A
A
C
That
it
means
that
you're
in
the
presence
of
alcohol
in
an
illegal
like
an
underage
party,
so
it.
C
Disciplinary,
the
disciplinary
committee,
in
terms
of
you
know
you
ask
like
you,
know
what.
C
C
C
And,
and
what's
often
out
there
publicly
is
absolutely
not
what
you
hear.
B
So
what
degree
is
that
actually
reflects
the
policy?
Because
I
think
what
a
lot
of
people
here.
B
B
A
A
I'm
sorry
all
right,
fine!
I
came
from
winneconne.
I
was
there
for
11
years.
I
abided
by
their
policy.
B
B
B
B
B
B
B
B
B
A
A
A
A
A
C
Right,
why
else
would
you
need
a
designated
site,
we're
getting
messages
about
the
audio.
A
Sure
that
they
are
and
trying
to
point
it
down
to
what
would
I
do
with
service
is.
A
All
right
sandy
raised
one
of
the
points
that
is
strikingly
clear
from
tonight's
presentation
is.
A
A
A
A
Should
look
like
so
it
starts,
it
starts
there.
That's
where
the
conversation
starts
for
me.
A
A
B
B
B
B
In
a
party
or
something
like
that,
but
at
least
they
would
lead
by
example.
Like
I
mean.
B
B
But
I
would
expect
them
to
say
it's
not
okay
for
me
to
be
here
and
be
complicit
with
this.
That.
B
B
Except
in
someone's
body
that
they're
not
like
having
a
trunk
full
of
very
extreme,
so.
B
B
Was
we
just
went
to
a
party
and
picked
somebody
up
and
took
them
home?
I
think
that
would
be.
B
B
A
So
in
this
case
this
is
a
non-restorative.
B
In
this
case,
as
far
as
being
in
the
presence
of
alcohol
or
or
drinking,
then
that's
a
certain.
A
Kid
drafted
up
in,
and
you
talked
to
mary
and
the
three
of
you
are
the
ones
that
make
this
so
so
in
this
case,
what.
A
A
B
A
A
A
A
A
C
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
B
A
A
A
B
B
You
know
that
this
is
a
policy
that
we
have
I
mean,
but
if
I
s,
if
I
think
of
a
kid
in
the
presence.
A
A
A
A
I
would
like
to
just
ask
you:
you
said
there
could
be
probation.
Yeah
is
the
first
option
or.
A
B
It's
something
minor,
such
as
they're,
not
fulfilling
their
service
hours
or
they're,
not.
B
Then
there
is
no
probation
and
how
are
students
notified
of
their
dismissal.
A
Situation
in
the
office
of
the
situation
and
said
that
this
is
a
violation
of
nhs.
B
A
Is
there
an
appeal
process
yeah,
they
can
talk
to
mary.
I
mean
they
marries
nhs.
B
Yeah
she
spoke
with
a
number
of
listeners.
If
not,
yes,
did
you
explain
to
the
kids.
B
Yeah,
sorry,
I
guess
one
question
that
I
had
for
you
know
the
committee
doing
you
know
decision
is.
B
Do
you
guys
feel
like
this
policy
is
boxing
you
in
and
you're
not
able
to
use
your
judgments.
B
B
Everybody,
finally,
together
with
everything
and
when
you
get
19
of
those
responses
that
are.
B
Very
similar
to
what
their
intentions
were
than
trying
to
get
out,
they
were
a
designated
driver.
B
They
had
friends,
it
was
a
very
common
theme
with
all
the
kids,
I'm
not
saying
that
they're.
B
B
So
obviously
they
all
did
something
wrong
right.
That's
all
we
have
to
go
on,
I'm
not
a
you
know.
A
A
C
Consequences
were
very
similar,
which
we've
been
criticized
for
that
as
well.
I
guess.
C
C
C
C
It
together
and
and
make
the
best
decision
and
and
then
you
said
you
made
the
decision
across
the.
C
No,
that's
why
they
got
a
punishment,
that's
why
they
ended
up
with
the
the
you
know,
the
one.
C
A
C
A
Advantage
of
that,
then
they
had
a
reduction
in
the
gains
that
they
missed.
Okay,
okay,
brian.
Can
you.
B
You
know
people
here
one
in
particular:
it's
it's
just
not
applied
to
all
the
students.
B
I
think
that
that
is
one
that
sort
of
is
glaring
to
me.
The
other
issue
that
I
see
is
it's.
B
There
at
a
party
regardless,
if
they're
drinking
or
not,
honestly,
I
don't
want
my
kids
to
be
there.
B
B
All
these
loopholes
right,
if
I
say,
if
I'm
you
know
if
we
say
okay
in
the
presence
but
except.
C
Just
comment
because
it's
come
up
before
about
why
just
athletes
or
extracurriculars-
it's
not
just.
C
Performing
arts,
obviously
nhs
student
council,
so
the
you
know
those
activities.
C
Are
our
privileges
and,
and
you
know,
education,
your
economics,
your
execution
is.
C
For
things
like
character-
and
you
know
a
certain
set
of
rules,
whatever
you
put
in
the.
C
Athletics,
so
it's
it,
you
know
it's
not
an
mandate
that
everyone
can
do.
It's.
C
C
C
Making
sure
that
they,
you
know
it
isn't
a
problem.
You
know
just
to
follow
up
with
a
student.
C
B
B
Saying
that
you
know
these
kids
are,
this
is
a
privilege,
but
I
do
think
you
know
I
I.
B
B
To
to
make
it
bulletproof,
but
I
do
think
what
you
could
do.
A
meaningful
change
is
look
at
the.
B
Other
things
I
think
that
is
a
way
to
I
mean
people
aren't
participating
in
sports.
What
are.
B
The
other
things
that
we
can
do
to
it's
a
consequence
of
an
action,
but
it's
not.
B
You
know
necessarily
taking
away
you
know,
you
know
the
sports
or
whatnot,
or
it
could
be
some.
B
B
B
Not
so
I
I
know
they're
all
good
kids,
so
I
I
did
my
best
and
I
think
I
part
of
me
wants
to.
B
B
A
So
this
issue
just
really
hits
me
in
a
lot
of
ways.
I
was
a
high
schooler
that
would
draw.
A
A
Substance
use
and
addictions,
so
this
is
a
hard
conversation,
I'm
gonna
kind
of
soapbox.
This.
A
Like
we're
10
years
into
an
opioid
epidemic
and
we've
learned
so
much
about
what
causes
substance.
A
Use
I
do
a
lot
of
interviews
with
people
who
use
drugs
and
people
who
are
struggling.
A
A
A
Is
illegal
but
it
does
not
make
the
definition
of
accused
in
those
interviews.
I
talk
about.
A
A
A
A
Important
things
I
heard
from
this
conversation
to
me
was
the
lack
of
evidence
around
this.
A
Type
of
policy
I've
been
able
to
find
none.
I
did
previously
work
with
the
life
of
an
athlete.
A
Drinking
was
wrong
and
I
know
that
that
person
is
no
longer
with
the
organization.
We
can't.
A
Clarify
that,
but
I
work
from
a
harm
reduction
lens,
in
which
I
think
we
have
to
think
about.
A
Ride
home
and
and
ask
whether
we
want
to
adopt
harm
reduction
as
the
primary
piece
of
the
policy.
A
A
A
A
A
Themselves
and
one
another
is
a
great
concern
to
me,
because
I
was
that
kid
and
if
things.
A
A
Better
person-
I
wouldn't
be
here,
and
so
I
think
that
the
piece
of
you
know
even
25.
A
A
A
A
The
teams
I've
been
on
that's
where
our
rights
would
be
totally
honest.
I've
heard
a
lot
of.
A
A
Flipping
back
on
them,
and
that
has
to
be
confusing.
I
think
that
the
other
things
that
just
came
up.
A
A
And
so
one
of
the
one
of
the
things
is
that
I
I
just
really
think
that
some
of
the
language
is.
A
Concerning
and
stigmatizing
that,
I
heard
the
idea
that
we
can
judge
the
character
of
a
student.
A
A
Because
I
think
it
opens
our
district
up
for
a
lot
of
viability,
the
whole
and
I'm
going.
A
And
so
that
is
is
absolutely
dated
about
two
decades
ago.
I
know
that's
in
your
words.
A
Has
never
been
proven
in
literature
and
evidence
the
idea
that
we
need
to
determine
honesty.
A
A
party
with
the
intention
of
driving-
and
so
I
some
other
rando
things.
I
think
that.
A
Be
titled
that
I
would
look
at
as
a
student
athlete
or
as
a
parent
of
an
athlete
and
and.
A
Student
to
restore,
we
don't
take
anything
away
and
that
we
look
at
that
within
the
next
policy.
A
I
do
want
to
ask
mary-
and
maybe
some
of
the
other
folks
can
answer
this.
A
Mr
charles
one
right
there
is
requested
every
year
so
who
reviews
that?
I
guess.
C
C
And
then,
in
terms
of
like
every
orientation
during
flex
in
the
very
beginning
of
the
year,.
C
The
teachers
will
go
over
the
information.
C
You
know
things
that
are
pertinent
to
like
the
drug
and
alcohol
policy.
C
The
beginning
of
the
year
activities
so
that
you
know
they're
and
so
during
flex,
block.
A
A
A
C
A
C
When
they're
found
to
be
ill
eligible
for
because
of
a
violation
or
something
they'll,.
C
Student
council
is
now
student
council
does
meet
and
and
nhs
will
meet
on
like
wednesday.
C
Mornings
or
something
like
that,
the
student
council,
a
lot
of
the
class
meetings
are
during.
A
And
so
I
just
really,
you
spoke,
and
I
just
want
to
thank
everybody
for
coming
tonight
and.
A
Taking
the
time,
obviously,
but
I
guess
I
just
wanted
to
understand
the
interplay
of
your
job.
A
A
A
A
A
restorative
justice
piece
and
then
the
school
is
sort
of
contradicting
that.
That
piece
I
just.
B
A
A
A
You
know
you're
you're,
providing
some
kid
or
situation
a
therapeutic
approach
or
a
therapeutic.
A
A
Check
in
with
them
support
them,
so
when
it
came
as
far
as
the
the
greenland
party.
A
A
Drugs
or
alcohol
because
realistically
studies
do
show,
when
kids
aren't
involved
in.
A
A
A
Whether
it's
with
a
friend
from
the
sports
team
after
school,
you
know,
obviously
a
bigger
party.
A
Gosling
meadows
or
some
other
location
and
having
a
starbucks
does
it
happen
anywhere.
Okay,.
B
In
this
interview
is
that
you
know
that
somehow
the
school
was
a
defender
of
this
policy
and
the.
B
It's
messy,
let's
be
honest,
so
you
know
clearly
it's
the
prerogative
of
the
board.
B
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
I
have
had
the
opportunity
to
speak
with
many
students,
and
one
thing
I
would
say
on
the.
A
A
I
think
that
would
relieve
some
of
their
their.
You
know
a
little
bit
of
their
stress.
A
Something
maybe
like
that,
but
I
just
wanted
to
try
to
keep
it
moving.
I
haven't
said
anything
yet.
A
When
we
put
it
in
the
presence
of
off-campus
parties,
because
it
was
getting
out
of
hand.
A
A
A
I
don't
remember
that
happening
years
ago.
Does
the
police
then
arrest
the
kids
at
the
house.
A
They
used
to
when
I
first
started.
They
used
to
bring
them
back
to
the
police
department.
A
Then
so
there
would
be
some
kind
of
action.
Yes
and
the
school
didn't
have
anything
to
do
with
us.
A
A
A
A
A
All
right:
well,
I
think
we're
going
to
stop
now.
Okay,
it's
time
for
us
to.
A
A
B
B
B
A
I
would
start
there
by
looking
at
some
of
that
stuff
and
then
I
would
just
be
guided.
A
A
A
A
A
A
I
mean,
I
think,
kerry
laid
out
some
very
good
points.
I
think
we
each
all
have
some.
B
B
B
A
policy
that
governs
out-of-school
activities
at
all
if
we
can
differentiate
consequences
better.
B
Between
those
who
drink
and
don't
drink,
should
we
have
more
restorative
practices
that
might
even.
B
B
That
we've
heard-
I
think
the
policy
committee
can
start
working
with
that,
but
I
I
still
would.
A
B
To
look
at
those
kind
of
things
I
I
propose
you
a
scenario
where
I'll
pick
up
bullying.
