Description
Historic Preservation Advisory Board 5-27-2021
A
B
C
D
A
C
Good
morning
this
is
the
may
27th
meeting.
I
mean
2021
meeting
of
the
historic
preservation
advisory
board,
I'd
like
to
call
it
to
order,
and
before
we
begin,
we
have
two
new
alternates
with
us
today.
I'd
like
them
to
introduce
themselves.
Please.
C
You
could
sorry
step
up
to
the
yeah.
F
E
G
Good
morning
my
name
is
david
perry.
I've
been
here
for
four
years
prior
to
that
I
was
in
naples
for
approximately
30
years,
so
I
moved
north,
but
I'm
glad
to
be
here
and
glad
to
participate.
Thank
you
thank.
F
C
Yes,
okay,
all
right.
Our
next
scheduled
meeting
is
june
24th
2021
and
before
we
begin
are
there
any
citizens
comments
on
agenda
items.
Only
all
right
see.
None
like
to
move
to
the
approval
of
the
minutes.
Can
I
have
a
motion
so
moved?
Second,
all
in
favor,
aye
aye,
okay
motion
carries
unanimously
and
fabiano
new
business.
D
All
right,
so
I
want
to
apologize
a
little
bit
ahead
of
time,
as
it
says,
attached
application
when
there
isn't.
This
is
just
information
only
so
there
is
no
application
attached
for
both
cas.
I
will
be
speaking
on
so
ca12
2021,
608,
west
olympia
avenue
for
the
certificate
of
appropriateness.
It
is
the
attached
application.
Not
attached
contains
information
provided
by
the
applicant
regarding
the
proposed
installation
of
a
six-foot
white
privacy
fence
on
the
property
at
608,
west
olympia,
608
west
olympia
is
listed
on
the
florida
master
site
file.
D
For
ca,
13
2021,
301
gil
street
certificate
of
appropriateness,
so
this
is
also
information.
Only
the
applicant
provided
this
applied
regarding
the
proposed
installation
of
a
forfeit
fence
around
the
backyard
to
secure
the
pool
on
the
property
at
302
gil
street
302
gil
street
is
listed
on
the
florida
master
site
file.
This
structure
was
constructed
in
a
ranch
style
in
circa
1952
as
a
single
family,
residence
and
city
staff
approved
the
certificate
of
appropriateness,
as
the
proposed
fencing
will
have
no
adverse
impact
on
the
architectural
or
historic
character
of
the
structure
or
district.
D
Yes,
staff
comments,
so
this
is
just
a
quick
update
on
the
historic
markers
so
for
fisherman's
village
we
had
the
verbiage,
proof
red
for
all.
Seven
plaques
and
staff
is
working
on
getting
the
final
draft
together
and
will
be
sent
out
to
fisherman's
village,
so
they
can
start
production
and
for
the
tribute
plaques,
the
family
did
approve
the
verbiage
for
the
two
plaques
and
currently
city
staff
is
working
on
figuring
out
where
the
plaques
would
best
fit.
C
D
Okay,
yeah,
we
can
do
that.
We'll
have
an
example
of
what
the
final
product
could
look
like
as
they're
still
not
produced
yet,
but
we'll
show
you
the
photos
and
what
the
verbiage
is.
C
D
Yes,
I'm
sure
that
by
the
next
meeting
we'll
have
all
of
that
information
ready
like
I
said
we
are
getting
the
final
verbiage
for
the
fisherman's
village
approved
and
the
location
for
the
tribute
plaque.
So
once
that's
done,
we
should
have
an
idea
of
how
long
it
will
take
for
it
to
be
produced
installed
and
have
that
event.
D
Yeah
we're
also
working
on
that
where
we
got
in
contact,
I
forget
her
name,
I
believe
it's
jennifer
she's
working
with
us
to
create
create
sort
of
like
a
story
to
let
guests
and
residents
know
of
all
the
bridges
and
where
we're
going
to
put
this
plaque.
Okay,
yes,.
A
C
D
D
H
Good
morning
for
the
record,
joan
lebeau
urban
design
director,
the
city
is
applying
for
a
500
000
grant
for
the
ac
freeman
house.
It
will
be
going
in
on
june
1st.
It
was
brought
to
city
council
several
weeks
ago
for
their
approval
to
go
ahead
and
submit
so
we'll
keep
you
posted
on
whether
or
not
we
receive
the
award
for
the
grant
and
I'm
looking
forward
to
doing
some
major
work
on
the
on
the
restoration
of
the
facility.
H
A
A
Sure
this
grant
app,
who
is
the
grant
application
too
or
from
the
city,
the
city,
the
city?
The
city,
would
be
providing
the
500
000.
H
C
That's
joan.
F
H
Funding
will
be
available
in
2022.,
okay,
and
I
think
I
believe
we
can
begin,
which
is
perfect
for
the
timing.
Right
now,
the
city
has
awarded
at
the
last
city
council
meeting.
We
awarded
the
design
bid
to
parker
mudgett
smith
and
they
are
going
to
do
the
design
for
us.
It
will
take
approximately
10
months
for
them
to
complete
that,
so
it
should
dovetail
nicely
if
we
were
to
receive
the
grant.
H
We'd
have
a
two-month
time
where
we
could
get
everything
ready
and
then
actually
start
working
on
the
grant
and
move
right
into
that.
So
we're
very
excited.
We
don't
usually
get
opportunities
like
that,
so
we're
looking
forward
and
just
have
our
fingers
crossed
for
this
one.
H
It's
a
major
renovation,
so
we're
going
to
be
doing
new
roof
work,
new
siting,
ada,
accessible
to
the
back
door.
We
put
in
the
ada
ramp
in
2019.
H
The
door
is
not
wide
enough
to
meet
ada
accessibility,
so
we
will
that
one
door
on
that
on
the
house,
not
the
front,
just
the
back
woodwork
inside
from
a
leak
that
happened.
We
had
some
repairs
to
be
done.
There
was
some
issues
with
the
roof.
The
leak
happened
and
it
came
down
the
walls
so
we've
we
have
to
replace
some
woodwork
and
and
repair
the
floors
and
things
of
that
nature.
H
Yes
and
parker,
mudgett
smith
is
aware
of
that.
They
do
have
somebody
on
their
staff.
The
reason
they
were
awarded
it
is
they
have
somebody
who
is
familiar
with
the
applications
and
the
requirements
of
the
the
state
for
historic
restoration.
H
Correct
it
will
all
be
vetted
through
the
the
grant.
A
Do
you
folks
have
a
copy
of
that
require
those
requirements
from.
H
I
we
can
bring
one
to
the
next
meeting.
Yes
well.
B
D
H
C
Okay,
all
right
all
right
time,
for
you
know
any
other
board
comments
before
I
ask
for
citizens
comments.
B
A
question
and
I
missed
the
meeting
where
the
house
was
in
question
that
garrett
kaiser
was
part
of.
I
know
we
went
we
spent
months
and
months
and
months.
I
know
we
just
can't
talk
about
it
outside
of
here.
I
would
have
asked
you,
but,
like
I
just
through
hearsay,
I
heard
the
city
was
like
yeah
tear
it
down.
Why
are
we
even
bothering
me?
No,
I
mean.
B
C
B
B
H
Unfortunately,
that's
how
it's
going
to
look,
but
the
city
of
course
wants
to
preserve
whatever
we
have
left
in
the
city
to
to
move
forward
that
particular
home,
we
did
work
with
several
people
trying
to
get
the
money
allocated.
B
H
A
C
No,
no
kelly,
no
beth!
No!
Thank
you!
Okay!
I'm
assuming!
We
have
no
citizens
comments,
because
those
are
the
alternates,
unless
you
guys
have
something
you'd
like
to
share
at
this
time,
quickest
meeting
ever
okay,
sorry
about
that,
but
they
get
better.
So
you
just
hang
in
there.
Okay!
So
do
I
have
a
motion
for
adjourn
so
moved.
This
is
brad
move.
