Description
Burnt Store Isles Canal Advisory Committee 8-8-2023
A
A
You
are
okay,
call
daughter,
roll
call.
A
A
Here:
okay,
we'd
stand
for
Pledge
of
Allegiance.
Please.
A
Amen
all
righty
next,
our
announcements,
anything
in
particular
we're
going
to
talk
about
here.
I
will
have
a
public
comment
announcement
here.
Anyone
wishing
to
address
the
Burnt
Store
Isle
Canal
advisory
committee
on
any
subject,
may
do
so
at
the
appropriate
time.
During
the
meeting,
those
who
choose
to
speak
must
State
their
name
for
the
record.
Each
person
will
be
allowed
to
speak
up
to
a
maximum
of
three
minutes.
A
A
C
B
C
B
B
C
C
Okay,
you
can
see
here
that
we
haven't
really
had
any
billing
go
through
as
far
as
the
month
of
July
I
do
know
that
we
have
received
invoices
for
Seawall
replacement,
but
that
comes
out
of
something
else
out
of
a
different
account
for
the
hurricane
Ian
stuff.
Okay,.
A
C
Right
so
I'm
not
sure
how
they're
gonna,
how
we're
gonna
present
that
but
I
will
get
with
finance
and
find
out.
C
C
We
have
three
projects
currently
under
construction.
Mondovi
just
needs
sod,
a
project
isn't
completed
until
the
sod
has
been
placed
actually
Valletta
has
started,
and
so
is
San
Pietro.
But
this
report
is
what
was
a
status
report
as
at
the
end
of
July,
okay,.
A
A
C
Again,
our
goal
is
to
the
this
winter
is
to
put
the
BSI
lock
widening
back
out
on
the
streets.
C
C
So
dep
has
issued
a
revised
exemption
for
dredging,
so
you
know
we
have
the
sea
wall
in
the
rip
rat
permit.
So
now
we're
working
on
updating
the
dredging
permits
and
when
I
say
dredging
I
mean
the
inlet,
dredging
and
Dockside
dredging
right.
Okay,
so
is
there
anything
you
want
to
share
with
this
Mr
disher?
Nothing,
okay,
I
think
that's
about
the
only
update!
We
have
we're
still
going
through
the
permitting
process
on
that.
Okay.
C
A
C
So,
in
the
next
six
weeks
we
should
be
completed
with
the
FEMA
inspections.
I
think
we
are
completed
in
the
BSI
Zone
as
far
as
a
FEMA
representative,
coming
in
the
backyards
and
doing
their
own,
estimating
with
the
city
representative,
I,
think
we're
done
in
BSI,
but
I
think
we
still
have
four
to
six
more
weeks
to
go
in
PGI
and
then
that
will
be
completed.
C
And
then
we
sign
the
inspect
the
estimates-
and
you
know
start
that
process
to
move
forward,
Channel
markers
that
contract
has
been
awarded
and
that
should
start
August
14th
doesn't
really
affect
BSI.
You
guys
didn't
have
any
channel
markers
that
were
damaged,
but
just
in
case
you
are
using
the
inlets
and
notice
the
channel
markers
so
that
that
should
take
about
30
days
to.
A
So
that's
the
channel
markers
out
through
Alligator
Creek,
all
the
way
out
into
the
harbor
Excel.
No.
C
C
The
channel
markers
at
Ponce,
Pompano
bass,
Inlet
that
were
damaged
and
I,
think
I
had
one
or
two
over
at
Lashley.
Okay,.
A
B
C
C
What
else
can
I
share
with
you?
As
far
as
we
have?
We
continue
to
have
our
bi-weekly
meetings
with
FEMA
just
going
through
that
whole
process
of
sharing
information
and
and
working
through
that
application
process,
we're
still
going
through
all
that.
C
We
have
the
we
have
hired
a
project
management,
consulting
firm
that
has
provided
us
with
four
inspectors,
and
so
they
started
last
week.
So
so
one
inspector
is
assigned
two
zones
and
those
inspect
those
guys
are
doing
the
inspection
services
as
opposed
to
the
city,
hiring
staff,
buying
vehicles
and
buying
computers
and
stuff.
We
hired
a
consultant
to
do
all
that.
C
That
that
Seawall
assessment
is
completely
different,
they're
just
overseeing
the
construction
of
the
seawall
replacement,
making
sure
that
the
right
panels
are
going
in
that
they're
straight.
The
backfill
is
right:
the
welds
are
good.
The
Steel's
in
place,
it
steals
tied,
concrete
is
proper,
restoration
is
done,
you
know,
and
that
we're
meeting
all
of
our
permit
requirements
and
stuff
like
that,
okay,.
B
A
Can
I
move
on
to
another
subject
then,
absolutely
this
evening
at
six
o'clock,
or
is
it
6
30
the
the
city
is
having
their
meeting
right
here
in
this
room?
Yes,.
C
C
So
what
we're
going
to
go
over
is
we
are
going
to
share
with
the
public
our
Capital
Improvement
projects.
We
have
the
three
projects,
so
we're
going
to
share
with
them
those
projects
and
we're
going
to
share
with
them
the
seawall
study
why
we
need
to
increase
the
amount
of
seawalls
that
we're
replacing
and
we've
provided
them
with.
C
So
the
Taylor
study
with
you,
which
you
guys
are
in
all
you
know
familiar
with
we're
gonna
again
reintroduce
that,
and
you
know
they
propose
that
you
know
we
increased
our
Seawall
replacement
by
a
percentage,
we're
sharing
that
information
and
why
we
need
to
increase
their
assessments.
Okay,
okay,
it
correct
me
if
I'm
wrong,
but
at
our
last
meeting
we
decided
to
increase
our
assessments
to
cover
the
capital
projects
this
year,
so
that
and
we'll
be
explaining
that
as
well
right.
Okay,
okay,.
