G
Was
a
very
good
trip?
I
started
off
actually,
with
the
Office
of
Economic
Opportunity
I've
been
working
on
a
project
with
the
airport's
really
helped
with
development
of
the
aerospace
industry
and
so
met
with
them,
and
just
basically
discussed
that
our
city's
economic
development
really
needs
their
support.
I
mean
they.
They
have
support
of
the
airport,
with
1.7
million
dollar
APA
grant,
but
really
talking
about
also
I'm,
actually
bringing
businesses
there
and
really
just
seeing
that
as
being
for
Pawnee
borders,
economic
future.
The
importance
of
that
then
I
went
met
with
the
aid
of.
G
But
it
happened
that
by
the
end
of
the
day,
our
senator
from
Naples
pastor
domo
was
able
to
put
it
back
in
fifty
thousand
dollars
just
to
hold
it
so
we're
in
the
budget,
and
so
she
took
some
money
from
Okeechobee
and
so
that
that
was
their
one.
One
thing
we
do
have
to
look
at
with
from
her.
On
the
Senate
side,
they
were
talking
about
possibly
wanting
to
acquire
advanced
wastewater
treatment
as
a
requirement
for
cities
is
a
big
deal.
The
city
of
Tallahassee
had
it
spent
about
250
million
dollars
for
theirs.
G
We're
looking
at
four
or
five
times
that
amount
for
ours,
and
so
hopefully
that
doesn't
make
it
through
the
session.
But
that's
that's
a
big
number,
because
that's
something
that's
there.
In
the
meeting
with
representative
grant,
we
discussed
the
signage
for
it
for
the
Veterans
Park
and
we
talked
about
Veterans
tourism
in
general,
in
terms
of
I'm,
promoting
for
the
museum
for
the
Gaines
Park
in
the
wall,
and
so
we
talked
about
what
we'd
like
to
do.
G
Is
we
do
a
joint
resolution
between
the
City
Council
Board
of
County,
Commissioners,
econ
Development,
Office,
tourism
and
Airport?
That
would
be
a
real,
strong
thing
to
the
state.
In
that
way.
Also
we
can
get
those
numbers,
so
we
can
actually
say
that
we'll
have
the
traffic
needed
to
justify
that
sign.
G
Also
I
ended
up
meeting
with
the
chair
of
Natural
Resources,
represent
of
Ross
team
from
Miami
upper
keys
and
so
basically
express
to
her
the
importance
of
finding
Booker
and
we
say
right
now
and
then
lastly,
I
attended
the
Appropriations
hearing
for
both
the
House
and
the
Senate
and
actually
gave
my
card
for
president.
So
they
knew
that
we
were
actually
there
for
supporting.
Well,
the.
B
B
D
Unfortunately,
we
heard
back
that
is
fifty
thousand
for
each
facility,
so
we
sent
we
sent
the
military,
Heritage
Museum
attendance
figures
to
representative
grants
office.
By
the
end
of
this
week
we
will
have
the
numbers
for
the
Vietnam
Wall
in
Lashley
Park.
We
will
send
those
numbers
in
and
hopefully
that
will
meet
the
criteria.
D
H
Had
the
the
MPO
meeting
last
week
and
in
my
weekly
or
my
NPO
City
report,
one
of
the
things
that
I
had
on
my
list
was
I
had
been
contacted
by
a
couple
of
citizens
who
were
severely
injured
in
a
very
bad
accident
at
the
aqui
estan
40
one
intersection.
As
everybody
knows,
there
are
turns
arrows
on
41
to
turn
off
of
41
on
to
a
Kia
stock
going
in
both
directions.
H
However,
there
are
no
turn
arrows
going
east
and
west
to
get
on
to
41
and
due
to
the
fact
that
someone
did
not
yield
a
motorcyclist
was
severely
injured
and
so
I
was
contacted
by
a
couple
of
people
and
asked
if
we
could
have
FDOT
look
at
improving
that
intersection.
So
they
are
doing
that
they're
going
to
be
doing
some
research
on
what
it
would
take
to
improve
how
the
intersection
is
configured.
H
What
we're,
having
is,
people
are
coming
off
of
both
sides
of
a
Kia
saw
because
it
is
aqui
estoy
everybody
thinks
it's
Cooper
Street
on
the
on
the
north
side
of
41,
but
it
is
not
it's
a
Kia
stop
until
it
gets
to
the
first
cross
street
there.
So
when
people
come
off
of
a
Kia
start
to
turn
north
and
south
on
41
and,
most
importantly,
coming.
B
H
Which
direction?
Well
mostly,
the
problem
is
stemming
from
people
going
westbound
to
go
south
on
41
and
they're
not
yielding
to
traffic,
and
that
is
one
of
the
major
problems
there.
So
I've
asked
them
to
consider
putting
turn
arrows
there
and
not,
and
possibly
even
marking
off
the
road
with
you
know
how
they
do
it
at
41
and
cross
the
northbound,
41
and
Olympia.
They
have
lines
on
the
road
so
that
you
can
follow
the
lane.
H
I've
asked
them
to
consider
looking
at
those
options
to
see
if
we
could
improve
that
intersection
for
safety's
sake,
because
that
intersection
is
getting
horribly
horribly,
horribly,
backed
up
I
was
I
was
like
number
40
in
line
to
get
to
the
light
last
week
on
one
day,
so
it
was,
and
it
took
about
three
lights
to
get
to
the
light.
So
it's
getting
worse
and
worse
as
traffic
is
getting
worse
and
and
more
intense
and
so
in
season,
especially
we're
seeing
a
major
influx
of
cars
at
that
intersection
and
when
those
condos
are
built.
H
B
H
So
those
were
the
two
major
things
that
we
talked
about
that
affect
the
city
of
Punta
Gorda.
Also,
there
is
now
a
traffic
signal
on
Burma
Road,
where
the
horrible
intersection
is
they
put
a
interim
fix
there.
It's
a
4-way
stop
light
now,
so
eventually
they're
they
are
going
to
put
in
a
roundabout
there.
It's
for
traffic
improvement
and
it'll
have
to
be
large
enough
for
all
the
big
trucks
to
get
through
there,
but
they
do.
H
They
are
planning
on
doing
that,
they're
working
on
getting
the
right-of-way
secured
and
all
of
that
right
now,
but
for
the
interim
at
least,
we
now
have
a
traffic
signal
there,
which
we
hope
will
cut
down
tremendously
on
the
horrible
accidents
out
there
and
I'll
change
hats
for
a
minute.
Military
Museum
I
invite
everybody
to
join
us.
We
have
the
grand
opening
gala
event
on
April
13th
that'll,
be
a
USO
tribute
show
in
the
theater
it'll,
be
a
catered
reception
and
a
sneak
peek
of
all
the
galleries.
H
We
invite
you
to
do
that
and
we
have
the
ribbon-cutting
for
both
Chamber
of
Commerce's
on
the
15th
at
5:30
p.m.
and
then
we
have
the
Admiral
chambers
lunch
on
April
24th,
which
will
also
be
at
the
Museum
at
11
o'clock,
and
so
there
are
there's
a
Facebook
page.
There's
a
website.
Freedom
isn't
free,
org
invite
everybody
to
come
and
join
us
for
those
events,
and
thank
you.
Thank
you.
E
B
I
Because
we
have
a
nonpartisan,
City,
Council
and
the
city
manager
type
of
government,
and
that
makes
us
different
and
that
has
not
reached
our
disappointing
marketing
people
today.
You
heard
comment
from
them
where
they
failed
in
different
areas,
and
you
you
recognize
that
failure,
and
now
we
just
went
through
a
Charette
process
which
only
1%
of
the
communities
in
this
country
have
ever
participated
in.
We
are
unique,
and
so
we
want
that
marketing
people
to
feature
that
now
the
report
of
the
Charette
came
up
in
team
punta
de
vacas
newsletter
of
this
month.
I
What
I've
been
doing
this
week
is
I,
took
the
Charette
report
and
I
emailed
it
to
20
of
the
public
officials
and
the
prominent
citizens
of
the
towns
that
I
travel
to
to
get
an
idea.
What
a
unique
this
community
this
is.
The
word
will
spread.
Each
of
us
did
this
with
ten
people.
Our
pop
population
at
twenty
thousand
would
mean
that
we
would
have
two
hundred
thousand
content.
I
That's
a
whole
lot
of
people
to
reach,
and
we
can
all
do
that
together,
because
we
are
that
different
kind
of
community
people
come
here
from
everywhere.
So
we
can
go
to
anywhere
in
the
country.
You
can
reach
out
SEC.
Another
comment
that
I
have
is
well
different
had
to
do
with
the
property
proposal
this
morning
and
the
call
was
for
a
sidewalk
it's
time
to
revise
our
rules
and
not
build
sidewalks
as
much
as
possible.
I
There
are
a
few
places
where
you
want
sidewalks,
but
the
Merc
programs
offer
better
surfaces
for
all
of
our
citizens
and
they
can
be
three
foot
wide
and
they
can
be
twelve
foot
wide,
but
they
are
softer.
They're,
safer.
There,
ad8,
accessible
people
can
feel
that
there
are
no
ribs
in.
In
the
end,
then
they're
made
out
of
asphalt.
You
still
have
a
bed
that
goes
below,
but
thank.
