Description
Description
A
What
will
be
coming
up
in
August
that
will
all
be
involved
with
that
and
in
kind
of
looking
over
what
others
have
done.
California
has
quite
a
track
record
with
regard
to
form
based
codes,
and
it
goes
back
where
they
were
reviewing
themselves
back
in
2010
of
what
they
had
already
been
doing
all
of
those
years
before
applying
form
based
codes
and
they've
done
it
throughout
the
entire
state,
and
they
did
it
and
it
mentions
here.
A
Some
of
these
codes
are
being
created
citywide,
but
more
often
they
are
focused
on
downtown's,
older
corridors,
dead,
mall
sites
and
other
locations
designated
for
higher
density
and
mixed-use
development.
Well,
that
to
me
sounds
like
what
we're
trying
and
attempting
to
do
in
downtown
Panna
Gorda
and
one
of
the
things
I've
cut
to
the
chase
here.
A
At
the
end,
the
California,
Planning
and
Development
did
a
report
on
the
effects
of
form-based
codes
in
different
areas
in
California,
so
I
thought
it
might
be
helpful
to
see
what
they
did
and
troubleshoot
some
of
their
ideas
that
they
had.
So
we
could
avoid.
Maybe
some
things
down
the
road.
They
were
very,
very
good,
a
fine
job
in
this
particular
report
and
cutting
right
to
the
chase
just
right
to
a
final
paragraph
here.
A
Finally,
cities
are
often
cities
often
make
the
mistake
of
thinking
that
if
they
adopt
a
form
based
code,
they
don't
have
to
do
anything
else
to
make
a
mix,
juice
or
urban
neighborhood
work,
but
that's
not
true,
especially
when
it
comes
to
parking.
Form-Based
codes
often
permit
less
parking
at
the
parcel
level,
but
codes
don't
and
can't
deal
with
the
district
level
question
of
how
to
provide
enough
parking.
A
Indeed,
one
of
the
most
common
mistakes
the
city
makes
in
adopting
a
form-based
code
is
in
restricting
parcel
level
parking
without
regard
to
whether
enough
pool
parking
exists
in
the
district.
That's
why
a
form-based
code
usually
needs
to
be
accompanied
by
a
parking
management
plan
and
what
I
mix
suggesting
that
as
you
go
through
this
with
August
coming
up
the
chain
considered
that
plan.
Thank
you
thanks.
Pat,
any
other
comments,
meeting
adjourned.
Thank
you.
