Description
A
A
B
So
this
item
was
intended
to
be
the
reception
of
the
report.
Yes
and
I
think
it
was
fairly
well
understood
that
the
city
wouldn't
be
taking
any
action
with
respect
to
the
report
today,
other
than
to
receive
the
report.
Mm-Hmm
even
a
vote
to
maintain
the
status
quo
is
something
that
should
be
on
a
separate
agenda.
C
D
A
G
E
F
We
said
we
were
gonna.
Do
okay
and
you
know
III
hear
what
you're
saying,
but
to
truth,
I
just
got
a
phone
call
this
week
from
somebody
who
was
Rhett,
who
was
trying
to
rake
me
up
one
side
and
down
the
other
about
Buckley's
pass
about
getting
no
benefit
from
Bucky's
past
I
mean
that
was
the
decision
we
made
back
in
April
and
I
got
the
phone
call.
This
week
live
in
my
district,
so
I'm.
F
D
D
The
ponce
park,
utility
line
change
order
or
the
Wildlife
Center,
and
a
draft
of
some
initial
action
items
for
the
strategic
plan
that
goes
along
with
budget
adoption.
Just
a
initial
draft
of
what
some
action
items
might
look
like
because
we
don't
approve
them
until
September,
along
with
the
budget.
So
at
least
those
items
will
definitely
be
on.
There
might
be
some.
B
I
just
want
to
say
that
my
job
as
the
city
attorney
is
to
try
to
minimize
the
opening
of
the
doors
for
litigation.
I
do
not
try
to
be
obstructionist
nor
to
direct
the
City
Council,
but
it's
my
job
to
advise
and
if
I
don't
advise
I'm
not
doing
my
job.
So
although
it
may
be
nitpicking
and
it
might
be
overly
technical,
that
is
the
world
that
attorneys
live
in
and
that's
the
basis
of
lawsuits.
So
I'm
doing
my
job.
H
H
G
H
Different,
whether
they
be
Baptist
or
Catholic,
or
they
ask
them
to
come
in
and
they
take
turns,
but
everyone
has
just
about
everyone-
has
indicated-
that's
problematic
people
don't
show
up
they.
You
know
so
for
one
reason
or
another.
So
to
have
the
one
nondenominational
person
is
I.
That
would
be
our
preference
so
that
we're
not
constantly
chasing
after
people
to
take
turn
and
come
and
deliver
the
invocation.
But
I
would
like
to
know
if,
if
you're,
okay
with
staff,
just
finding.
E
Be
comfortable
with
staff
dude
I
would
just
like
to
make
comment
that
if
there
was
a
person,
a
pastor
or
somebody
that
sort
that
has
served
in
the
military
as
a
chaplain,
they
probably
also
would
be
very
capable
of
doing
it
in
a
non-denominational
way,
because
that
was
their
job
yeah.
So
and
that's
point
two
so
I
mean
if
a
good
person,
but
they
happen
to
be
a
Catholic
priest,
know
what
I
mean
he
was
abused,
a
chaplain
in
the
and
any
one
of
the
services
he
has
that
expertise.
C
I
D
H
Yeah,
okay,
all
right,
starting
with
the
vacancies,
then
we
have
a
three
year
term
on
the
Tollan
advisory
board.
We
have
a
resident
commissioner.
So,
on
the
board
housing
authority,
we
are
working
with
the
housing
authority
to
identify
someone
for
that
particular
seat,
and
we
also
have
an
alternate
on
the
historic
preservation
advisory
board
under
nominations.
We
have
a
three-year
term
as
an
alternate
on
the
Planning
Commission.
We
do
have
one
eligible
applicant,
that's
mr.
Keith
Froelich,
and
if
you'd
like
to
nominate
an
appoint,
you
may
do
so
by.
H

H
C
F
F
A
G
Everyone
to
know
that
the
12th
and
13th
of
July
at
Fishman's
village,
we
have
international
cultural
fest
on
that
Friday.
It's
gonna
be
from
5:00
to
9:00
entertainment
from
around
the
world,
and
then
that
day
we
have
all
the
different
cultural
affinity
groups
from
around
Southwest
Florida,
all
from
Naples
to
Tampa.
In
our
area
between
the
Punta
Gorda
and
just
celebrating,
you
know
who
we
started
as
and
who
we
become
so
please
come
and
is
free.
J
Name
is
Betsy
Toro
and
I
live
in
within
the
confines
of
the
historic
district
and
I
didn't
want
to
say
anything
about
pickleball
and
I
always
try
to
stay
away
from
it,
but
I
needed
to
say
something
because
I
experienced
something
joined.
The
break
that
made
me
say
I
needed
to
share
this
with
everyone
here,
no
matter
what
the
council
decides
to
do,
no
one's
gonna
be
happy.
We've
already
said
that
it
is
what
it
is
and
we
have
to
move
on.
J
I'm,
tired
of
listening
and
talking
about
it,
and
the
one
thing
I
agree
is
keep
it
at
four.
If
that's
what
the
council
decides,
the
reason
why
I'm
speaking
now
is
because
do
we
not
break-
and
you
all
know
some
of
you
all
know-
I'm
a
child
I'm.
A
children's
advocate
I
was
an
advocate
in
the
NYPD
for
20
years
and
I
continued
volunteering
for
children,
playgrounds,
etc.
That
is
my
one
of
the
reasons
why
I
moved
to
Punta
Gorda
unity
here,
Punta
Gorda
is
wonderful.
J
Another
reason
why
my
husband
and
I
moved
here
because
of
the
unity,
the
people
the
neighbors
coming
together,
but
during
my
break
I
was
approached
by
a
outspoken
pickleball
player
regarding
the
playground
and
basically
warned
wanted
to
make
sure
that
we
were
warned
that
we
will
be
next,
that
the
playground
will
be
the
next
subject
that
people
will
complain
about
that.
Our
neighbors
in
historic
district
complains
about
basketball,
the
children
playing
and
and
that
the
playgrounds
gonna
be
next
and
I
said
that
is
not
true.
J
The
community
and
the
historic
donated
fifty
thousand
or
more
in
monies
towards
the
playground.
That
is
a
false
statement.
The
community
in
the
historic
supports
basketball.
They
support
the
children
and
anything
that
goes
on
in
that
playground.
They
support.
So
I
am
offended
and
hurt
that
bringing
up
the
children
and
the
playground
and
bringing
up
the
bells
that
we
hear
from
the
playground
that
was
made.
We
planned
it
as
the
Friends
of
Gurkhas
papi
chose
that
unit
for
our
children
that
has
autism
and
to
compare
bells
with
pickleball
balls.
A
sound
it
offended
me
tremendously.
J
So
I
am
hurt
and
I
hate
to
bring
this
up
and
who
else
will
listen,
but
you
all
I'm
not
gonna,
talk
about
it
with
my
neighbor
and
my
husband,
but
the
playground
is
here
to
stay.
Our
community
supports
basketball,
playground,
children
screaming
whatever
it
takes
whatever
it
is,
and
that's
a
false
statement.
J
F
K
Secondly,
I
do
appreciate
your
support
of
the
fire
chief
and
whether
you
call
the
person
achieve
or
an
officer.
They
are
working
under
very
dangerous
conditions
now
and
they
need
all
of
the
support
and
all
the
training
they
can
get.
Finally,
I
am
on
the
valor
board
from
the
Department
of
the
justice,
and
everything
that
chief
Davis
wants
to
do
is
what
the
Department
of
Justice
is
recommending.
K
This
kind
of
Employment
Development
Coordinator.
Everything
is
is
about
police
safety,
and
so
all
of
the
training
they
get
from
stress
management
to
de-escalation
is
what
the
government
is
requiring
inside.
It
really
hope
that
you
support
both
the
fire
department
and
what
chief
Davis
is
saying.
Finally,
and
but
they
I
understand
the
feelings
on
both
sides,
but
it
is
not
about
decibels,
it
is
about
the
nature
of
the
sound
and
the
continuous
part
of
the
same
and
the
time
that
the
sound
occurs,
and
we
are
this.
K
This
is
very
new
to
Punta,
Gorda
I
grew
up
here
and
as
councilman
coming
says
in
the
worst
of
days.
We
didn't
have
this
kind
of
thing,
because
people
cared
about
each
other.
If
something
hurt
another
person,
a
neighbor
we
cared.
That's
who
we
were.
This
is
a
whole
new
for
some
of
us.
This
is
all
to
have
people
who
don't
care
about
what
hurts
their
neighbors.
This
is
completely
new
impact
recorded
history.
I
wish
that
I'm,
sorry,
you
all
get
all
those
calls
I
have
to
say,
though,
and
I'm
not
trying
to
be
smart.
K
K
But
really
I
really
hope
that
you
will
consider
the
people
who
are
being
hurt.
Consider
who
we
are,
we
don't
have
to
change.
We
can
be
that
community
that
we've
always
been
just
because
new
people
move
in
does
not
mean
that
our
attitudes
towards
our
neighbors
have
to
change,
and
that
has
happened.
I
have
to
say
it's
changed.
Okay
and
finally
Howard
you
got
those
preserves
reserves.
I
would
not
hope.
I
would
hope
that
a
lawsuit
does
not
interfere
with
those
those
reserves,
because
we're
not
doing
that.
Other
cities
did
take
care
of
this
problem.
K
L
L
F
M
Rick
Sarkisian
first
I
want
to
say:
I
am
totally
supportive
of
your
efforts
in
regards
to
police
and
fire
I.
Think
I
see
too
many
instances
where
a
police
department
or
fire
department
sort
of
closes
the
barn
door
after
some
tragic
situation,
happens,
so
I,
think,
training
and
being
ahead
of
the
curve
is
very
good.
Some
of
you
have
heard
me
say
this
before.
M
If
you
want
to
raise
my
taxes,
I'm
good
with
that
I
mean
I'd
like
to
cut
my
County
taxes,
but
as
far
as
I'm
concerned,
I
get
way
more
than
I
pay
for
in
terms
of
city
taxes
now
90
seconds
on
pickleball,
the
last
you
have
to
hear
today.
Hopefully,
I
want
to
start
out
by
saying
the
pickleball
committees.
M
Presentation
was
public
record
on
the
city
website
on
Friday,
for
any
citizen
to
repost,
some
of
that
on
Facebook
or
any
other
social
media
on
Saturday
or
Sunday
was
totally
appropriate
and
I'm
really
disappointed
that
the
chairman
of
the
pickleball
committee
had
to
make
a
special
comment
about
that
now.
Just
slight
short
comment
may
be
a
thought
to
leave
you
with
to
ponder
in
regards
to
pickleball
I
generally
agree
with
what
you
you
were
talking
about.
M
I
have
to
chuckle,
because
I
think
you
might
have
voted
without
voting,
but
for
what
that
be,
I
heard
three
things:
I
heard
wrong:
I
heard
that
for
pickleball
courts
are
worth
a
hundred
thousand
dollars
and
I
heard
from
the
pickleball
committee
that
eight
quarts
is
the
optimum
number
and
a
lot
of
things
have
changed.
Since
you
made
a
decision
to
go
to
four
course,
because
the
walls
up,
you
can't
see
the
players,
you
know.
Obviously
the
parking
got
resolved.
M
The
big
one,
though,
is
pickle,
Plex
pickle,
Plex
is
open
now
and
I
know
I
like
planted
pickle
Plex.
All
the
players
are
playing
at
pickle,
Plex
well
and
I've
talked
to
you
before
about
being
fact-based
in
your
decision
and
I.
Think
the
one
decision
that
you're
not
being
fact-based
in
regards
to
is
what
the
heck
would
happen
in
the
next
three
or
four
or
five
months.
If
there
was
eight
courts
instead
of
four,
you
know
everybody's
going
to
be
out
at
pickup.
M
F
I
I
have
a
fairly
serious
I'm,
Brad
gamblin,
listening
to
all
of
the
things
going
on
today,
I'm
actually
very
proud
of
the
council
and
the
committee's
that
have
worked
hard
on
a
number
of
things.
However,
they
do
have
one
thing:
how
can
one
get
like
myself
involved
as
we
once
once
with
the
lot
mowing?
How
can
I
get
involved
with
the
or
hay
baling
concession
for
the
vacant?
Lots
as
the
one
next
to
me.
C
N
Just
like
to
join
the
chorus
supporting
a
lot
of
what
I've
heard
today,
I
absolutely
agree
about
the
millage.
It's
something
I've
been
muttering
and
saying
for
several
years.
They've
talked
to
you
all
about
I.
Think
it's
about
time.
We've
got
to
do
it,
we
get
so
much
for
what
we
get
I
would
even
give
up
the
twice
a
month
or
twice
a
week,
garbage
pickup
I,
just
a
family
of
too.
C
E
N
Again
and
I'm,
one
of
the
people
who's
gonna,
be
paying,
who
has
already
paid
my
assessment
for
Buckley's
cut,
will
get
the
twenty
five
dollar
assessment
for
the
mbsu,
the
school
board
and
I
pay
for
two
Lots
in
terms
of
canal
maintenance.
I
still
think
it's
a
great
bargain
for
the
lot
mowing.
It's
a
great
bargain,
I'm,
not
sure
what
would
happen,
but
when
I
lived
in
Spain
they
just
let
the
shepherds
and
herds
of
sheep,
this
kind
of
dual
purposes:
sort
of
leave
a
little
fertilizer
behind
and
things
like
that.
N
Again,
I
think
it's
excellent.
The
work
I'm
talking
about
compromise
and
pickup
pickleball
yes
way
too
much
time
has
been
spent
on
this.
We
have
much
more
serious
issues
to
address
and
I
think
the
fiscal
things
facing
our
city
deserve
much
more
time
than
then
probably
pickleball
does
and
takes
care
of
a
lot
more
of
our
basic
needs
and
y'all
are
doing
a
great
job.
Thank
you
and
I
support.
All
girls
tax
increases.
Thank.
