Up
to
us
right
now
we're
putting
together
the
dep
application
for
the
900,000
finance
is
evaluating.
Is
it
better
to
take
the
money
up
front
or
to
spread
it
out?
What's
more,
they
have
endangers
to
us
once
we
once
finance,
does
the
calculations
and
gives
a
recommendation
then
that
the
formula
will
be
developed.
Okay,.
D
C
F
C
F
A
I
May
recall
that
in
May
I
attended
the
Florida
Bar
sponsored
annual
local
government
law
seminar
between
now
and
our
next
meeting
I
will
be
attending
the
Florida
League
of
Cities
municipal
Attorneys
Association.
The
previous
one
is
for
municipal
attorneys
and
county
attorney's.
Then
this
upcoming
one
is
for
City
Attorney's
intelligence
only
which
it's
much
more
fun
group
and
awesome,
more
educational,
I
think
so.
Hopefully,
I'll
come
back
really
smart
after
the
conference
and
once
again,
I'm
not
going
to
be
seeking
reimbursement
from
the
city.
For
those
appreciate.
G
As
you
know,
the
Florida
League
of
Cities
annual
conference
is
next
month
and
each
year
they
request
that
you
designate
one
council
member
to
be
the
voting
delegate
at
the
business
meeting.
So
if
you
would
like
to
do
that
now,
we
have
four
council
members
attending
councilmember.
Freeland
got
some
over
Cavanaugh
air,
Kiessling
and
councilmember
crappy
are
attending
I.
Would.
D
F
H
B
H
G
G
H
F
So
Susie
had
just
feeling
an
unexpired
term
because
we
just
appointed
her
earlier.
This.
G
B
G
B
G
B
G
B
A
G
When
you
have,
we
have
four
contractor
positions
and
three
what
you
would
call
citizen
advocate
positions
right
now.
We
do
have
one
extra
contractor.
That's
why
we've
also
had
problems
moving
up
from
the
alternates
is
because,
if
that
individual
is
a
contractor
and
the
open
vacancy
is
for
a
citizen
advocate
that
person
can't
move
up.
G
D
I
Take
a
look
at
the
language
typically,
the
way
those
are
worded
is
that
you
want
to
make
sure
that
you
have
a
number
of
the
positions
occupied
by
a
trades
person
and
then
the
others.
You
leave
open
for
citizens
and
sometimes
it's
hard
to
fill
the
trade
persons
spots
and
would
not
be
appropriate
to
put
a
citizen
into
the
trades
person.
But
I
don't
know
that
that
I
don't
know
that
there
may
be
a
pro.
I
B
G
B
D
H
Want
to
share
with
you
yesterday
I
went
to
drug-free
charlotte
meeting
and
we
kind
of
forming
a
coalition
to
have
a
drug-free,
we're
calling
it
drug-free
punta
gorda
right
now,
and
our
Police
Department
was
their
chief
are
now
and
Joe
angelini
and,
of
course,
they're
going
to
be
involved
in
this,
which
is
they're
always
so
wonderful
to
give
up
their
time.
So
I'll
have
more
information,
we're
trying
to
do
the
drug
for
youth
program.
Here
it's
called
a
d
phi
program
where
you
engage
the
businesses
and
you
get.
H
You
give
the
kids
a
card,
it's
a
membership
card.
They
agree
to
be
drug
and
alcohol
at
tobacco
free
and
for
that
they
get
discounts
at
restaurants,
and
you
know
people
and
to
be
determined.
We
have
to
go
out
and
get
those
things
for
them
and
and
that
encourages
them
and
we're
also
hoping
to
be
able
to.
We
talked
to
the
bayfront
center
and
the
YMCA,
and
also
Cooper
straight
about
making
them
more
of
a
true
rec
center,
where
we
can
have
those
kind
of
activities
for
kids
on
the
NAD
nights
and
weekends.
H
A
H
National,
but
they
do
have
it
in
northport,
I'm
unable
to
go
because
I
have
another
meeting
next
week,
but
I
think
chief
arnel
was
going
to
kind
of
send
somebody
they're
having
a
joint
meeting.
Manatee
has
a
program
so
manatee
Sarasota
northport
are
going
to
be
there.
Just
we
don't
want
to
reinvent
the
wheel.
I
mean
our
new.
H
But
it's
really
worked,
really
wonderful,
like
the
north
fort
they
have
there,
they
have
an
activity
center,
they
have
a
like
an
exercise
place
and
they
get
a
free
membership
to
that.
So
I'd
love
to
get
the
Y
to
do
that
for
our
kids
and
it's
reciprocal.
So
if
our
kids
go
to
Sarasota
or
north
port
or
whatever
they
take
their
car,
they
get
a
ten
percent
discount
they
get
and
they
are
drug.
To
you
know
drug
and
alcohol
tested
randomly
so
we're
just
trying
to
make
it
cool
to
be
drug
and
alcohol
sounds.
D
D
A
Yes,
thank
you,
my
drives
across
the
41
bridges.
I
have
noticed
that
we
have
lots
of
run
us.
We
have
lots
of
walkers.
We
have
very
few
bicycles
that
adventure
out
onto
those
bridges
I've
had
some
conversation
with
the
individual
who
just
walked
in
about
different
measures
of
safety
and
reasons
why
people
really
just
don't
take
their
bikes
out
there
and
it's
evidently
because
there
is
no
real
distinction
between
what
I
mean.
A
Is
there
some
distinction,
but
it
could
be
a
lot
clearer
between
a
we're,
a
cual
would
go
vs
where
Michael
go
smoke,
the
Howard
about
listen.
How
would
you
ride
your
bike
over
there
he's
not
going
it's
not
he's
not
going
over
there
so
and
talking
to
Mitch
I've
learned
that
there
are
different
degrees
of
protection
within
that
the
state
of
Florida
has
somewhere
between
a
bumper
to
a
year
to
a
full
kind
of
wall.
Separating
the
roadway
from
the
traffic
from
the
bicycles.
A
I've
also
learned
that
Charlotte
Harbor
there
there
Harvard
that
shallow
hover
hover
program,
which
includes
bicycle
lanes
and
so
on,
like
that,
will
be
it's
on
the
one
percent
sales
tax
for
the
county
and
if
it's
approved,
they
will
be
moving
ahead
and
with
bike
lanes
and
Charlotte
Harbor,
and
they
are
also
interested
in
some
additional
work
that
could
be
done
on
the
bridges.
I've
learned
that
the
state
has
an
interest
in
it.
I
believe
you
probably
are
aware
of
this.
A
Billy
had
a
way
is
going
to
be
giving
a
presentation
and
october
about
bicycles
and
bridges,
and
so
on,
like
that,
and
my
question
is
that
we
we
want
to
put
that
on
an
agenda
and
have
some
more
conversation
about
it
and
maybe
bring
a
proposal
forward
to
the
MPO
to
just
to
the
state
to
have
a
conversation
which
I'll
Harbor
about
it.
Maybe
we
can
hear
from
Mitchell
a
little
bit
about
it
today.
If
he's
inclined
to
to
share
and.
B
F
Court
and
Bob
Armstrong
co-chair
the
team,
penta,
gorda,
bicycle-friendly
committee
and
I
know
work
with
Mitchell
on
working
with
our
city
on
the
bicycle,
friendly
community
application
and
the
program
whatever
it
needs
to
go
on.
I
think
it
would
be
great
to
hear
from
from
Mitchell
and
not
necessarily
everything
today,
but
I
mean
in
an
upcoming
meeting
on
how
that's
progressing
and
what
we
need
to
do.
F
I
know
that
bot
cyclists
have
commented
that
once
they
get
over
the
bridge
there,
they
would
like
to
come
back
and
there's
no
safe
way
to
get
to
come
back.
There's
no
way
to
go
under
the
bridge.
I
know
that
there's
there
are
plans
when
they
eventually
do
the
gateway
park
to
be
able
to
go
under
the
bridge
with
a
cycle
bicycle,
and
so
you.
A
A
F
F
D
It
might
be
a
hubcap
because
they,
you
know,
maybe
a
glass
bottle,
something
in
that
again
causes
the
flat
tires
at
least
that's
what
again,
what
we
and
again
are
the
Technical
Advisory
Committee,
which
Mitchell
is
on
as
Alton,
has
brought
that
to
us.
I,
don't
know
whether
there's
been
in
the
update
with
regards
to
the
MPO
I
have
not
heard
again,
I
ask
the
question
who's
going
to
pay
for
it
and
oh
well.
We
can
check,
but
FDOT
doesn't
really
have
the
funds
either.
That's
the
last
comment.
Fdot.
C
C
J
Just
here
for
a
Mitchell,
Austin
urban
design,
bicycle
pedestrian
coordinator,
I'm,
here
to
answer
any
questions.
I
would
like
to
say
that
this
past
weekend,
actually
the
the
Orlando
Sentinel
had
a
little
art
web
article
about
the
best
bridges
to
bicycle
and
walk
across
and
state
of
Florida
and
are
willfully.
41
virgins
were
not
listed
on
there,
a
number
of
other
bridges
that
they
did
list
I've
personally
been
on
and
are
not
as
scenic
as
beautiful
or
as
long
as
our
bridges
across
the
harbor.
F
Absolutely
is
this
something
I
know
when
the
banner
bridge
banner
contest
in
that
poll
project
went
on
back
in
2006.
That
was
a
collaborative
effort
between
Charlotte,
Harbor
and
Punta
Gorda.
Is
this
something
that
it
should
be
a
Charlotte
Harbor
CRA
discussion,
along
with
punta
gorda,
about
the
the
bridges
in
charlotte
county
as
far
as
maintaining
those
bridges
and
keeping
them
for
sure?
So
it's
not
just
a
burden
on
our
back
I.
B
Mean
I
would
like
to
hear
light
from
the
NGO
as
far
as
what
are
the
recommend.
What
are
we
even
talking
about?
Are
you
talking
about
what
Thomas
and
like
a
bumper
or
a
wall,
or
what
is
the
recommendation
to
make
it
more
bicycle-friendly
I
mean
the
debris.
Is
one
thing,
but
the
configuration
of
it
is.
You
know
something
as
well.
Yes,.
J
B
B
A
H
A
A
C
D
D
B
E
Fagan
again,
I
think
everybody
forgot
that
we
lower
the
billet
rate
one
and
a
half
percent
this
year,
so
I'm
glad
to
see
that
you
kept
that
same
military.
The
other
thing
I'm
glad
to
see
that
you're
going
to
put
no
parking
on
those
cul-de-sacs
down
there,
but
you
had
there's
another
problem
in
lashley
park.
That
I
think
you
ought
to
think
about
in
the
parking
lot
itself.
