Hello
and
welcome
to
once
upon
a
time
the
San
Bruno
Public,
Library's
cables,
storytime
I
have
lots
of
really
fun
books
to
read
today
and
they're
all
about
snow.
We
don't
get
a
lot
of
snow
here
in
San
Bruno.
Do
we,
but
it's
really
fun
to
read
about
it
all
right.
Our
first
book
today
is
going
to
be
Martin
McGregor's
Snowman
by
Lisa
Cooke,
but
before
we
get
to
that,
let's
sing
our
welcome
song.
Okay,
are
you
ready
here
we
go.
A
B
It
was
November
all
Martin
McGregor
wanted
to
do
was
build
a
snowman,
but
so
far
this
season
no
snow
had
come.
I
live
for,
snowman
building
said
martin
mcgregor.
Last
year
I
built
the
biggest
snowman
in
the
whole
neighborhood
martin
tried
making
a
snowman
using
the
marshmallows
in
his
hot
chocolate,
but
the
marshmallow
snowman
melted
too
quickly
and
ended
up
as
little
more
than
a
marshmallow
mustache.
B
Even
the
birds
look
like
they
want
some
snow,
he
grumbled
his
mom
was
going
to
the
basement.
With
the
laundry
be
glad
we
don't
have
to
shovel
the
driveway
and
keep
an
eye
on
your
sister
for
a
minute,
martin
mcgregor
side,
his
mother,
didn't
understand.
He
glanced
at
his
sister
in
the
highchair.
She
didn't
understand
either,
but
as
she
ate
her
pancakes
Martin
got
a
fabulous
idea.
B
B
Mcgregor
piled
and
piled
and
piled
the
snow
Martin
was
disgusted.
It
won't
stick
together.
He
yelled
his
dad
was
backing
his
car
out
of
the
garage.
Well
I
for
one
am
glad
the
roads
won't
be
slick,
don't
forget
to
take
Sadie
the
dog
for
a
walk
while
I'm
out
Martin
McGregor
rolled
his
eyes.
His
father
didn't
understand.
He
glanced
at
Sadie
with
the
leash
in
her
mouth.
Sadie
didn't
understand
either,
but
as
Sadie
wagged,
her
tail
Martin
got
an
amazing
idea.
B
B
In
January,
the
weather
was
cloudy
gray
and
gloomy,
but
there
was
no
snow.
Martin
thought
his
mashed
potatoes
had
possibilities,
but
they
made
little
more
than
a
mushy
mess.
Martin
sighed
and
plopped
his
head
down
on
the
table.
His
mom
said:
go
take
your
bath
Martin.
Maybe
that
will
cheer
you
up
and
please
be
finished.
The
for
the
ladies
from
my
book
club
arrived
Martin
McGregor
poured
in
the
entire
bottle
of
bubble
bath
and
turned
on
the
whirlpool.
It
made
the
perfect
foam
as
he
lay
there.
Martin
McGregor
got
an
incredible
idea.
B
B
In
February,
the
weatherman
finally
predicted
a
huge
snowstorm
Martin
leapt
out
of
the
bed
bright
and
early
the
next
morning
and
sprinted
to
the
window,
but
there
was
no
snow
crummy
weatherman,
mumbled,
Martin,
McGregor
I'm.
Moving
to
Alaska,
don't
forget!
Your
boots
said
his
dad
that
day,
Martin
wore
all
white
and
tried
stuffing
his
clothes
to
look
like
a
snowman,
but
he
just
looked
silly
in
art
class
Martin
McGregor
painted
an
enormous
snowman.
His
art
teacher,
mrs.
French,
exclaimed.
B
B
After
working
in
the
yard,
Martin
got
a
wonderful
idea
on
the
front
porch.
He
used
his
dad's
shaving
cream
and
his
mom's
lipstick
to
create
a
snowman.
All
I
have
is
a
droopy
gloopy
lump
of
nothing.
He
said
he
was
not
amused.
His
baby
sister
was
amused.
She
finger
painted
the
windows
she
finger,
painted
the
door
she
covered
herself
in
shaving
cream
when
Martin's
mom
and
dad
came
out
on
the
porch.
They
were
not
amused.
I
wish
I
had
gone
to
Alaska
whispered,
Martin.
B
B
A
At
a
frozen
world,
a
blizzard
he
cried
and
he
threw
on
his
clothes
and
ran
out
the
door.
B
School
was
canceled
for
three
whole
days
and
Martin
made
a
snowman,
a
snow,
lady,
a
snow
boy,
a
snow
girl
and
a
snow
baby,
his
mom
and
dad
even
helped
despite
frozen
ears
and
a
frozen
nose,
frozen
fingers
and
frozen
toes.
He
couldn't
have
been
happier
Martin
McGregor
finally
got
to
build
his
snow
and
then
came
a
all.
Martin
McGregor
wanted
to
do
was
go
swimming
and
build
sandcastles.

And
welcome
back
to
once
upon
a
time
the
San
Bruno
library's
cables
story
time
today,
I'm
reading
books
about
snow.
Do
you
know
when
I
was
little?
My
mother
told
me
that
when
there
was
thunder
that
it
was
mother
nature
bowling
up
in
the
sky
and
when
it
rained
it
was
because
Mother
Nature
was
crying.
She
never
told
me
what
it
was
that
made
snow
and
that's
what
our
next
book
is
about.
We're
going
to
find
out
what
grandmother
winter
is
doing
in
the
sky
to
make
it
snow.
B
B
A
A

B
B
B
A
B
Tucked
under
wings,
they
will
wait
until
spring
and
that
was
grandmother
winter
by
Phyllis
root.
So
now
we
know
what
grandmother
winter
does
to
make
it
snow.
She
shakes
out
her
feather
quilt
and
the
feathers
make
the
snow
it's
really
fun
to
play
in
the
snow,
especially
if
you
have
cozy
clothes
and
family
friends
to
play
with
that's
what
our
next
book
is
about.
It's
called
hello,
snow,
I,
hope,
Vestergaard,
all
the
fun
things
that
you
can
do
hello
morning.
Goodbye
night
I
see
something
cold
and
white.
B
A
A
B
A
B
Oh,
they
come
running
in
to
drink
their
cocoa
and
have
some
doughnuts
and
she
looks
outside
to
see
the
beautiful
snowman
that
they
made.
That
was
a
fun
day
in
the
snow.
Wasn't
it
hello
snow?
B
Snow
day,
playful
snow
day,
they're
playing
in
front
of
the
fire,
so
cozy
cupboard
carousing
hot
chocolate,
mushy
marshmallow,
dunk,
popcorn,
peanuts,
pretzels,
chocolate
chips,
the
cookies
yums
munch
crunch
snow
day,
Munchie
snow
day
wow.
They
got
lots
of
treats
Papa's
long
johns
rainbow
scarf
nubby
mittens
pom
pom,
pull
down
cap
snow
day,
fund
Elise
snow
day.
B
Snow
angel
plop,
snow
fort
snow
day,
noisy
snow
day.
They.
A
B
Well,
we
don't
get
a
lot
of
snow
in
San
Bruno,
but
we
do
get
sunshine
and
rain.
So,
let's
sing
a
rhyme
together
about
that
and
for
those
of
you
who've
been
to
my
story
times
at
the
library.
You
might
already
know
these
signs
that
I
use
during
my
rhyme
for
the
rest
of
you.
Maybe
you
can
practice
them
at
home.
Here
we
go
what's.
