A
Hi
everyone
and
welcome
to
once
upon
a
time
story
time
for
San,
Bruno
library.
It's
so
good
to
see
you
today
and
today,
I'm
gonna,
read
you
some
stories
and
we're
gonna
sing.
Some
songs
I
am
miss
rocky
from
the
library.
You
probably
have
seen
me
there
before
in
the
children's
section
or
checking
out
your
books,
and
it's
always
so
great
to
see
you
all
at
the
library
and
if
you
don't
have
a
library
card,
that's
okay!
You
can
still
come
to
the
library
and
read
books
at
the
library
and
come
to
storytime.
A
A
A
Read
together,
that
happier
will
be
because
my
friends
are
your
friends
and
your
friends
are
my
friends.
So
the
more
we
read
together,
the
happier
we'll
be
how
about
the
more
we
sing
together.
I
love
to
sing
to
you.
Well
join
me:
let's
go
the
more.
We
think,
together
together
together
the
more
we
sink
together.
The
happier
we'll
be
because
my
friends
are
your
friends
and
your
friends
are
my
friends.
So
the
more
we
sink
together,
the
happier
we'll
be
very
good.
A
A
Did
you
say
some
vegetables?
Yes,
some
vegetables
come
from
the
farm
like
corn
and
cabbage
and
carrots.
How
about
how
about
dairy?
Like
milk?
Do
you
like
milk
or
cheese?
Well,
you're?
Right?
If
you
said
all
of
those
they
all
come
from
a
farm
and
this
farm
is
by
the
ocean
and
you'll
see.
There's
a
tractor
and
this
story's
bike,
HRO.
A
This
is
one,
this
farm
is
a
big
farm,
it
is
still
winter,
and
the
little
farm
by
the
sea
looks
asleep.
The
fields
are
frozen
under
early
morning,
frost
and
the
clamshell
driveway
is
quiet.
Only
curious
seagulls
move
through
the
air.
Oh,
but
inside
the
barn
life
is
stirring.
Even
before
the
Sun
is
up,
the
animals
are
awake
and
Farmer.
Brown's
family
is
very
busy.
They
are
milking
the
cows
and
feeding
warm
milk
in
the
barn
in
the
barn
cats,
their
stalls,
the
pig
squeel
noisily
Wenk,
Wenk
Wenk.
A
Farmer
Brown
goes
to
the
hayloft.
He
is
careful
not
to
disturb
a
batten
mhmm,
who
is
nesting
on
one
of
the
steps
he
throws
down
hay
for
the
donkey
and
cows.
One
of
his
sons
helped
him
feed
the
animals,
while
the
other
leads
the
cows
from
the
barn,
the
donkeys
trot
in
circles,
braying
hee-haw
hee-haw
when
they
see
their
breakfast
in
their
coops
behind
the
barn
that
chickens
are
the
last
to
be
fed.
What
do
the
chickens
give
you?
Do
you
know
what
they
give
you
to
eat?
A
A
Would
you
know
some
eggs
are
brown?
Yes,
the
Browns,
then
the
Browns
returned
to
the
barn
to
weigh
and
sort
the
brown
eggs.
A
scale
tells
whether
an
egg
goes
into
a
carton
marked
large
or
small.
If
the
eggs
are
dirty,
they
are
washed
in
a
special
egg
washer
before
they
are
sorted.
The
full
cartons
are
stacked
in
the
selling
room.
Soon,
customers
begin
to
arrive.
Sometimes
they
bring
empty
egg
cartons
for
the
Browns
to
use
again
and
they
put
the
money
for
their
purchases
in
an
old
metal
box.
A
When
the
morning
chores
are
finished,
Farmer
Brown
goes
to
his
machine
shop
there.
He
repairs
farm
machinery
and
rebuilds
antique
tractors
as
the
day's
warm
some.
The
tractors
will
be
soon
working
in
the
fields
they
may
even
lead
parades
or
be
shown
at
the
County
Fair
a
long
pale
greenhouse.
It's
near
the
machine
shop
inside
the
greenhouse,
the
air
is
moist
and
warm.
Even
on
late
winter
days,
mrs.
Brown
and
her
children
plant
seeds
in
a
small
plastic
cup
inside
trades
known
as
flats,
they
labeled
the
flats
and
pots
with
wood
and
markers
every
day.
A
A
Did
you
know
it
all
comes
from
a
farm
under
a
sunny
sky,
Nettie,
Emma,
Polly
and
Fanny
cow
roam
in
the
next
pasture
geese,
nibble
on
grass
and
weeds
they
rush
to
the
fence,
honk
honking.
When
they
see
a
farmer
Brown,
he
throws
them
bread
scraps
one
little
Gosling,
watches
mama
goose,
drink
water,
then
she
too
tries
drinking
from
the
big
pan.
Mama
pig
is
sleeping
in
her
stall.
Soon,
her
summer,
piglets
will
be
born
and
mama.
Donkey
here
is
eating
extra
grass
preparing
for
the
birth
of
her
little
burro.
A
Now
it
is
spring
the
barn
burst
to
life.
The
Browns
keep
plenty
of
flowers,
herbs
and
vegetables
on
porch
and
in
the
selling
room
by
the
roadside,
a
sign
says
natural
strawberries.
You
pick
another
sign
at
the
barn,
gives
instructions
to
the
strawberry
Pickers.
Soon
young
and
old
are
picking
juicy
strawberries.
A
Do
you
like
strawberries
me
too?
As
customers
pick
bees
buzzes
and
the
flowers,
the
Browns
hives
are
beginning
to
fill
with
honey
Wow
honey
to
Farmer
Brown
will
gather
the
honey
when
summer
ends
and
sell
it
in
little
plastic
bear
jars
at
the
roadside.
Stand.
Customers
stopped
to
buy
berries,
it's
lettuce
and
flowers.
A
One
summer
evening,
under
the
moon
and
stars,
mama
donkey
gives
birth
soon.
The
fuzzy
burro
wobbles
to
his
feet
and
drinks.
His
mother's
milk,
on
a
summer
day
visiting
children
asked
are
their
piggies
yet
not
yet
sand
mrs.
Brown,
the
children
chase,
mama
hen
and
her
chicks,
who
hide
in
the
tall
grass
by
the
rabbit
cage.
One
of
the
Browns
daughters
holds
a
bunny
two
small
children
watch
who
does
it
bite
asked
the
little
girl
before
the
older
girl
could
answer.
A
No,
the
children
dash
away
one
day
while
Farmer
Brown,
it's
planting,
pumpkin
seeds
in
a
far
field
visitors
find
a
sign
by
the
barn
quiet.
Shh
piggies
are
asleep,
Oh
looks
like
the
piggies
were
born.
Mama
pig
has
a
litter
of
piglets
resting
beside
her
each
day.
The
piglets
grow,
bigger
and
bigger
and
livelier.
Whines
piggy
finds
a
gap
in
the
pen
he
hops
through
and
three
piggies
follow.
They
dashed
through
people's
legs,
upsetting
cartons
of
beans,
berries,
eggs
and
flowers.
At
last,
they
fall
asleep
behind
a
bale
of
hay
ooh.
A
Those
piggies
like
to
get
into
trouble
full
summer
is
here,
while
mrs.
Brown
and
one
of
her
daughters,
pick
flowers,
Martens
and
swallows
dart
overhead.
They
eat
some
of
the
insects
that
harm
the
crops,
the
Martens
pop
in
and
out
of
the
birdhouses
high
above
the
fields
and
chicken
coops
their
favorite
houses,
our
gourds
grown
and
dried
by
Farmer
Brown.
They
swing
above
the
raspberry
patch,
where
the
brown
children
pick
berries
the
swallow
swooped
in
and
out
of
the
barn
some
nest
on
the
old
hanging
tractor
seats.
A
If
a
baby
bird
tumbles
from
its
nest,
mrs.
Brown
gently
returns
it
in
the
driveway,
an
antique
crop,
duster
sits
on
a
flatbed
truck.
It
looks
like
a
mechanical
octopus
and
will
soon
join
Farmer
Browns
collection
of
farm
equipment.
One
of
the
pigs
likes
explore
the
farm
wearing
a
harness
in
a
far
field.
The
donkeys
role
in
the
to
escape
the
flies
Wow
this
farm
is
busy
summer
is
edging
into
fall.
Apples
are
growing
heavy
on
the
trees,
the
Browns
pick
and
load
them
onto
the
pickup
truck.
A
They
divide
the
apples
into
three
groups:
bruised
four
pigs,
slightly
bruised
four
cider
and
perfect
for
customers
in
the
next
field.
Pumpkin
squash
and
gourds
are
fat
and
ripe.
Farmer
Brown
will
load
as
price
pumpkin
onto
the
truck
we're
ready
to
carry
to
the
County
Fair.
Look
at
those
pumpkins.
What
does
that
remind
you
of
pumpkins
mm-hmm?
A
Did
you
say
Halloween
pumpkins
remind
me
of
Halloween
to
the
barn.
Porch
is
overflowing
with
fall
fruits
and
vegetables,
including
tomatoes
and
squash
peppers
and
apples,
and
cabbage
and
corn,
tiny
orange
and
baby
boo
pumpkins
line
the
windowsills
wagons
and
wheel.
Barrels
are
filled
with
hay
and
pumpkins.
The
days
are
shorter
and
the
nights
are
cooler
and
soon
the
Frost's
will
come
and
the
farm
will
slow
its
winter
rest,
but
the
little
farm
by
the
sea
never
really
sleeps
bee
and
and
that's
a
story
about
the
little
farm
by
the
sea.
A
A
Maybe
one
day
you
can
visit
a
farm
I
think
that
would
be
fun
and
if
you
want
to
do
some
visiting,
come
and
visit
us
at
the
library.
Okay,
we
have
lots
of
books
that
you
can
look
at.
We've
got
movies
and
we
got
music
that
you
can
check
out.
So
storytime
is
not
over
we're
gonna
take
a
break,
and
when
you
come
back
we're
gonna
sing
some
songs,
I'm
gonna
read
you
some
more
books.
Okay,
so
see
you
a
little
bit
bye.
B
Hey
all
the
smoke
alarms
are
here
tonight:
I
just
want
to
say
a
couple
of
things
about
old
pal
here:
let's
remember,
he's
a
hero
and
save
this
house
and
family
when
he
spotted
that
kitchen
fire
you've
had
a
good
10
years,
we'll
miss
you.
How
Hey
it's

alarm
older
than
10
years
and
replace
the
batteries
in
your
alarms.
Every
year
I
was
46,
I
was
just
42.
I
was
at
46.
B
I
was
45
when
a
mammogram
found
my
counselor
found
my
cancer
and
fondo
make
insulin
and
helped
save
my
life
mammograms
can
catch
cancer
early
when
it's
most
treatable.
Experts
recommend
that
even
women
with
no
family
history
of
breast
cancer
begin
annual
mammograms
at
age.
40.
Please
talk
to
your
doctor
about
a
mammogram.
Today,
mammography
saves
lives.
One
of
them
may
be
yours.

My

is
falling

at
your
age,
it's
normal

a

Why.
B
A
B
A
Back
good
to
see
that
you've
come
back
to
hear
me,
read
you
some
more
stories.
Did
you
know
how
much
I
love
to
read
all
of
you
stories
here
and
at
the
library?
So
next
time
you
see
me
come,
and
let
me
know
if
you've
seen
me
on
TV
I
love
to
hear
it
when
kids
come
and
tell
me
that
they've
seen
me
on
TV
and
I,
miss
Rocky,
don't
be
shy.
I
love
to
know
you
and
get
to
know
your
name
and
to
know
that
you've
been
watching
cable
storytime.
A
A
Do
you
know
how
this
goes?
You
can
sing
along
with
me
if
you
want
ready
the
farmer
in
the
Dell,
the
farmer
in
the
Dell
hi-ho,
the
derry-o,
the
farmer
in
the
Dell.
The
farmer
takes
the
wife.
The
farmer
takes
a
wife
hi-ho,
the
derry-o.
The
farmer
takes
a
wife,
the
wife
takes
a
child,
the
wife
takes
a
child
heigh
ho
the
derry-o,
the
wife
takes
the
child,
the
child
takes
a
nurse.
The
child
takes
a
nurse
heigh
ho
the
derry-o.
The
child
takes
the
nurse.
A
The
nurse
takes
the
dog.
The
nurse
takes
the
dog
hi-ho,
the
derry-o.
The
nurse
takes
the
dog,
the
dog
takes
the
cat,
the
dog
takes
the
cat,
hi
Howie
derry-o,
the
dog
takes
the
cat,
the
cat
takes
a
rat,
the
cat
takes
the
rat
heigh-ho,
the
derry-o,
the
cat
takes
the
rat,
the
rat
takes
the
cheese,
the
rat
takes
the
cheese,
oh.
A
Okay,
now
I'm
gonna
read
a
funny
story,
and
this
was
about
Farmer
Brown
Farmer
Brown
is
a
popular
name
for
farmers.
Isn't
it
Farmer
Brown
shares
his
sheep,
a
yarn
about
wool?
Did
you
know
that
we
get
wool
wool?
We
can
make
clothes
out
of
wool
and
it
comes
from
sheep.
Did
you
know
that
yep
sheep
gives
us
some
of
the
clothes
that
we
wear
and.
A
A
A
A
Come
pull
come,
pull
he
clean
and
carted
all
their
wool.
Their
fleece
made
such
a
fluffy
stack,
but
bad.
They
cried.
We
wanted
back,
they
want
their
wool
back,
the
Sheep
went
running
cold
and
shaking
behind
the
farmer.
He
was
taking
all
their
wool
to
mr.
peel,
who
owned
the
finest
spinning
wheel
twist
hum
twist
hum
what
had
their
fluffy
fleece
become?
A
What's
it
becoming
mm,
did
you
say
yarn
from
fleece
to
yarn
it
stretched
and
changed
back.
They
cried.
I
will
look
strange,
chilly
sheep
with
goose,
bumps,
crying
rode
right
behind
the
farmer
flying
down
the
road
to
mrs.
Muller
who
changed
the
yarn
from
white
to
color
dip
dye
drip
dry,
the
yarn
group
right
before
their
eyes,
look
at
the
colors
of
the
yarn
and
while
it
dried
upon
the
rack,
one
sheep
cried.
A
A
A
The
Sheep
grew
nice
and
warm
again
and
brightly
colored
cardigans
and
patterns
made
of
red
and
green
and
all
the
colors
in
between
yep.
They
look
pretty
happy
now
happy
sheep.
Now
each
year
comes
shearing
time.
The
Sheep
wait
eagerly
in
line
to
fill
the
clip
and
hear
the
buzz
and
wear
bright
sweaters
over
fuzz,
oh
I,
think
they're
happy
now,
they're,
not
scared
of
getting
their
wool
taken.
A
The
and
and
that's
the
story
about
Farmer
Brown
sharing
his
sheep.
All
right.
So
now
remember
how
I
told
you
where
our
food,
some
of
our
food
comes
from.
It
comes
from
from
we're
from
farms.
That's
right,
and
sometimes
you
can
go
out
and
buy
food
from
the
farmer,
and
this
book
is
called
Market
Day
by
Lois
Ehlert.
A
Load
up
the
truck
we're
ready
to
go.
What's
the
truck
filled
with,
can
you
see?
Did
you
say,
vegetables,
you're,
right,
vegetables,
there's
a
tomato
right
there,
and
that
looks
like
a
turnip
and
there's
some
carrots
on
top
past
the
fields
where
the
vegetables
grow,
who
lusts
the
vegetables?
On
this
page
past
the
birds
they
perch
in
the
trees,
Pass
snakes
that
Sun
in
the
breeze
past
the
fish
and
frogs
that
swim
near
the
bridge
and
pass
the
sheep
that
graze
on
the
ridge.
A
B
A
I'm
getting
hungry,
are
you
that's
the
story
called
Market
Day.
Should
we
do
one
more
story?
Why
don't
we
do
one
last
song
or
say
our
goodbye
song,
because
it's
time
to
say
goodbye,
this
time
has
gone
by
so
fast
I
had
so
much
fun.
I
hope
you
did
too
and
come
and
see
me
at
the
library.
Okay,
all
right,
let's
say
our
goodbye
song
good
bye,
my
friends
good
bye,
my
friends,
it's
time
to
go
it's
time
to
go.
It
was
very
nice
to
be
with
all
of
you
good.
