Description
San Bruno Operation Clean Sweep 2013
A
We
actually
work
for
davita
rx,
which
is
a
pharmacy
in
san
bruno
and
we're
actually
on
different
ends
of
that
pharmacy.
But
we're
here
because
of
somebody
a
co-worker,
a
teammate
of
artists,
mentioned
doing
this
in
the
past
and
said
it
was
a
good
event
and
I
thought
it'd
be
a
nice
event
for
representatives
of
our
organization
to
come
out
and
do
something
nice
for
mother
earth
today.
So
I
kind
of
organized.
B
And
we're
going
to
be
looking
for
trash
and
litter
and
cleaning
it
up,
and
that's
what
I
told
my
kids
that
we'd
be
doing
today
so
they'll
be
very
proud
of
us.
Hey
registration
was
very
easy.
Everybody
was
here
to
help
very
friendly,
actually
spelled
my
name
right,
which
is
a
plus,
doesn't
usually
happen.
So
yeah
I
appreciate
the
hospitality
and
and
really
good
logistics,
I'm
Irene.
D
C
We
are
looking
for
new
members,
so,
if
you're
interested
to
see
what
we
more
of
what
we
do
and
to
be
a
part
of
your
city
a
little
bit
more,
we
welcome
you
to
join
us.
This
is
operation
clean,
sweep
their
annual
citywide
cleanup.
We
pick
up
litter
and
recyclables
from
the
street
and
we
have
hundreds
of
residents
and
business
owners
coming
to
join
us,
keeping
our
city
beautiful
if
you've
been
here
before
you
know
how
much
fun
it
is,
and
if
you
have
not,
please
come
down
and
join
us
it's
a
great
great
day.
C
D
And
it's
the
first
Saturday
of
May
every
year
and
we've
been
doing
this
for
years
and
years
and
years
over
16
years
every
year
we
try
to
have
special
projects
to
do
so.
If
you
don't
want
to
stoop
down
and
pick
up
garbage
that
you
can
come
and
paint
something
or
put
plant
things
or
ships.
So
we
do
all
those
things.
It's
a
great
community
thing:
there's
Boy
Scouts,
there's
Girl
Scouts,
there's
rotary,
there's
lions,
there's
people
who
come
every
single
year.
D
We
have
one
girl
who
comes
with
her
family
and
she's
been
coming
since
she
was
five
and
it's
because
this
is
how
they
celebrate
her
birthday,
so
her
family
does
that
and
they
think
it's
a
great
thing.
So
we
hope
you
all.
If
you
can't
make
it
here,
go
out
in
your
front
yard
and
clean
up
your
own
front
yard
and
help
your
neighbor
clean
up
their
yard.
So
San
Bruno
looks
the
best.
It
can
possibly
be
one
of
the
new
projects.
We're
doing
is
called
adopt.
D
A
planter
and
businesses
on
san
mateo
avenue
are
adopting
a
planters
at
the
city
plants,
the
plants
and
the
businesses.
Make
sure
it's
kept
well
and
that
the
weeds
are
out
and
the
garbage
is
out
and
if
you
go
down
San
Mateo
Avenue
you'll
see
three
so
far.
We've
got
five
others
signed
up
and
we're
putting
up
plaques
today,
yeah
in
the
planters
telling
people
who
is
responsible
for
the
plans,
hi.
E
F
We're
out
here
today
for
Operation,
Clean,
Sweep,
2013
and
I.
Think
that
really
the
best
part
about
today
is
the
weather.
We've
got
really
outstanding
weather
this
year.
It's
been
a
little
cold
in
years
past,
but
we've
got
actually
perfect
weather
today
for
painting
and
David
and
I
are
painting
all
the
trash
cans
here
on
san
mateo,
Avenue
I've
done
Operation
Clean,
Sweep
I.
Believe
it's
been
three
or
four.
Maybe
five
years
now,
I
got
the
shirt
here
from
2007
may
have
been
the
second
time
I
did
it
and
David
yer.
G
F
H
Name
is
Emil
Hans
on
the
presidents
and
Brunner
Rotary
Club,
and
we're
here
painting
the
shack
that
we
built
in
1986,
which
makes
it
I
think,
27
years
we've
several
generations
of
paint
on
there
and
it's
time
again
we're
also
doing
the
fence
outside
of
the
school,
and
we
should
be
here
about
six
hours
and
then
we'll
come
back
in
a
couple
years.
As
a
side
note,
I
actually
went
to
this
school,
so
I
know
it.
Well
is
a
very
small
child
about
fifty
years
ago.
I
Bob
George
am
with
rotary
club
with
san
bruno
and
they
were
here
at
the
Allen
school.
This
is
part
of
the
rotary
at
work
program
that
we
do
each
year
where
we
attempt
to
dress
up
and
clean
up
and
fix
up
our
city.
Rotaries
is
a
worldwide
organization.
San
bruno,
our
club,
is
part
of
that
organization,
and
we
all
feel
very
committed
to
this
notion
of
service
above
self.
Anybody
who
has
that
same
spirit
is
certainly
welcome
in
into
the
club.
We
look
for
them
and
every
one
of
us
is
as
part
of
that
spirit.
I
J
Name
is
Henry
white
and
Scoutmaster
272
we're
doing
our
regular
yearly
work
with
the
operation
clean,
sweep,
I.
Think
we've
been
a
part
of
everyone.
That's
occurred
on
these
so
looking
forward
to
I
help
and
make
the
community
a
little
bit
of
look.
What
I
like
most
is
watching
my
scouts
do
something
that
they
wouldn't
normally
do
okay,
but
they
get
excited
as
we
go
along
making
it
look
better
and
we
can
already
see
the
results
of
some
of
our
work
to
be
have.
J
This
is
only
once
a
year,
and
this
is
good
work
for
them
and
gives
them
an
opportunity
to
serve
the
community,
which
is
part
of
what
scouting
is
about.
It's
pretty
easy
to
see
that
them
lots
of
people
just
have
a
don't
care
attitude
about
garbage
being
out
visually
and
people.
Seeing
us
do
this
work
I
think,
maybe
for
a
day
or
two
they'll,
not
throw
something
on
the
ground
that
be
a
good
thing.
So
every
piece
of
garbage
is
done
in
the
right
ways
to
the
right
side
of
doing
things.
C
K
Ground
we
are
from
the
Alpha
Phi
Omega
Luna
Association
of
the
Philippines,
but
we're
actually
based
here
in
the
United
States.
Together
with
me,
the
members
of
Alpha
Phi
Omega.
We
didn't
have
our
visitors
from
the
philippines
from
antonio
de
manila,
the
president
berry
and
our
President
Ma
Jun
de
Castro
yeah.
We
actually
come
here
every
year,
and
this
is
our
tenth
year
in
joining
this
this
project,
the
best
thing
in
doing
this
is
the
service
part.
K
You
know,
you
know
it
gives
us
a
sense
of
awe
like
I
having
a
purpose
in
the
community,
since
we
adapted
we
already
adapted
this
place
in
the
United
States.
Most
of
us
are
based
here
in
the
peninsula,
and
some
of
us
even
came
from
all
the
way.
Far
from
a
Sacramento
and
I
stuck
on
when
we
came
here
this
morning,
there
was
a
mounds
of
barks
here
where
he
now
it
seems
like
the
city
services
just
dumped
it
here
and
in
the
process
we
flatten
it
and
it
spread
it
all
over
the
place.
A
I'm
Laura
Pausini
and
I'm,
with
San
Bruno
cub
scout
pack,
290
we're
up
on
College
Drive,
near
skyline
college,
picking
up
trash
for
Operation
Clean
Sweep.
We
found
a
lot
of
bottles
cans,
tons
of
cigarette
butts
papers,
two
plastic
bags
and
all
sorts
of
various
garbage
that
we've
been
picked
up
and
now
it's
getting
icy
and
leave
my
son
and
I
and
the
cub
scouts
have
been
doing
it
for
years.
I
think
this
is
probably
my
eighth
or
ninth
year.
L
M
N
O
Had
donuts
and
coffee
a
lot
of
friendly
people
and
they
said
they're
gonna
have
lunch
by
noon.
I
think
or
1
I've
enjoyed
it
I.
I
really.
I
really
want
to
be
part
of
the
community,
help
that
I
to
my
son.
You
know
we're
always
getting
so
much.
It's
just
good
to
try
to
give
something
back
and
I
love
the
park
because
I
take
them
to
be
taken
to
a
lot
of
the
other
parts
and
it's
it's
good,
a
feeling
when
it's
all
nice
and
clean,
but
they
people
who
enjoy
it.
Hello,.
P
I'm
Scott
Mowgli
we're
participating,
Operation,
Clean,
Sweep
san
bruno
and
we're
cleaning
up
along
crystal
springs
road.
I
think
I've
done
at
least
four
or
five
times
well.
It
feels
good
to
clean
up
trash
and
you
never
want
to
see
trash
along
the
road
because
it
doesn't
decompose,
and
so
we
just
allow
trash
to
build
up
eventually
may
come
into
our
homes
and
stuff
around
our
neighborhood
and
if
we
eliminate
it
before
it
gets
that
far
then
just
looks
better.
P
My
parents
and
I
wanted
a
tough
route,
one
that
would
really
test
our
mettle,
and
so
we
chose
this
because
it
had
lots
of
curves.
The
steep
hill
have
to
dodge
traffic
to
that
makes
it
more
challenging
I'm,
surprisingly,
not
as
much
trash
as
I
was
expecting
so
I
guess.
People
are
growing
out
trash
out
their
windows,
they're
learning
to
be
environmentally
friendly.
P
Q
For
lunch
there
was
hot
dogs
or
sausages,
oranges,
potato
chips,
something
to
drink
and
good
company,
nice
and
shady
and
it's
a
lovely
day
in
san
bruno.
We
all
went
to
commodore,
we
went
to
commodore
park
and
we
worked
there
and
then
we
worked
over
at
the
eastern
forest
park
and
we
all
filled
our
bags
and
as
soon
as
we
put
our
bags
at
the
curb
the
truck
came
by
and
picked
him
up
immediately.
So
it
was
really
great
hello.
M
M
Because
we
got
to
clean
up
trash
and
we
found
lots
of
interesting
stuff
and
we
picked
up
and
we
had
to
have
three
bags
or
recycling
well,
a
girl
named
Sara.
She
felt,
like
a
red
shirt.
Remember
next
year,
try
to
clean
up
my
name.
R
Is
Frank
daring,
we've
been
a
short
time,
san
bruno
residence.
We
bought
our
house
here
in
1957,
so
we've
only
been
here
about
56
years,
so
we've
learned
the
city
by
this
time
and
I'm
also
on
the
san
bruno
citizens,
crime,
commission-
and
these
are
our
neighbors
evolved
and
normal
a
person.
My
wife
janet-
and
this
is
our
cohort
on
the
group
we
did
bill
and
we
had
the
back
side
of
san
mateo
avenue,
which
was
mastic,
and
there
was
a
lot
of
apartments
and
the
backs
of
a
lot
of
businesses.
R
So
there's
a
lot
of
junk
and
debris.
We
got
sacks
and
sacks
of
garbage
and
recyclables
and
we're
tired,
but
it's
not
as
bad
as
the
time
we
had
the
railroad
tracks
right.
He
had
the
rest.
We
had
the
railroad
tracks
once
there's
stuff
we
couldn't
carry
off,
we
just
had
to
leave
in
piles
there.
So
we
appreciate
the
lunch
you're
giving
us,
even
though
the
burgers
were
veggie
they're,
probably
better.
For
us,
the
polish
was
good.
We.
S
Have
some
giveaways
today,
our
first
giveaway
we
have
out
here
on
the
table?
Are
these
cups
and
what
we
do
with
them
comes
with
a
scraper
scrape
your
grease
from
make
bacon.
You
don't
want
to
go
and
down
the
pipe
down
the
drain,
so
you
scrape
it
out
on
the
pan.
Put
it
in
this
little
cup
here
and
you
put
it
either
in
the
fridge
or
the
freezer
gets
hard,
and
you
could
toss
it
that
way
to
avoid
a
clog
is
in
the
drains
there.
S
Another
giveaway
we
have
today
are
these
Chico
bags,
as
you
see
their
foldable
and
portable,
and
they
open
up
to
these
grocery
bags.
That
are
reusable,
which
is
great,
and
the
last
giveaway
we
are
giving
out
today
is
one
of
these
foldable
pouch
water
bottles,
they're
reusable
they
attach
there's
clips
on
them,
and
those
are
our
three
giveaways
for
today
for
everyone.
That's
helped
out
with
the
clean
sweep
I'd
like.
Q
T
N
Kramer
I've
been
doing
Operation
Clean
Sweep,
since
I
was
in
first
grade.
It's
really
fun,
but
San
Bruno
has
a
lot
of
garbage
and
I
just
want
to
ask
you've
yours
to
stop
littering
because
there's
deflated
balls
and
anak
Donald's
bag
out
there.
So
it's
just
yeah.
It's
just
nurse.
A
lot
of
garbage
I've
been
doing
this
with
pack
290
and
troop
72,
so
yeah.
