Don't

All

B
B
And
this
year
this
year,
since
we're
going
to
kick
off,
our
Centennial
I
want
to
offer
a
special
thank
you
to
our
Museum
volunteers,
from
the
San
Mateo
County,
History,
Museum
and
they're,
dressed
in
period
costumes
and
clothing,
to
celebrate
our
kickoff
for
the
centennial.
So
thanks
for
joining
us
this
evening,
and
last
but
not
least,
our
park
staff
operates
these
parks
and
set
this
all
up
tonight.
It's
a
beautiful
beautiful
evening
and
I'm
sure
you'll
all
enjoy
it.
So
let
me
let
me
give
you
a
little
bit
of
background
here.
B
100
years
ago,
much
of
the
city
had
been
developed
in
wilderness
land
ranch
land
by
the
1880s
after
San
Francisco
earthquake
and
fire
in
1906
san
bruno
park
edition
was
developed
into
housing
and
several
other
new
neighborhoods
throwing
up
in
the
area
until
nineteen.
Fourteen
when
Sam
Bruna
became
an
official
municipality
at
that
time,
so
Bruno
had
roughly
1,400
residents
in
honor
of
the
centennial.
The
city
will
sponsor
a
coordinate
events
over
the
next
12
months.
B
These
events
will
include
a
community
day
in
city
park
and
a
centennial
gala
near
the
gate
of
the
city's
100
actual
birthday
in
December
23
2014
in
commemoration
of
the
centennial.
The
City
Council
in
the
culture
and
arts
commission
have
commissioned
a
centennial
mural
to
be
installed
late
in
2014
along
Steve
flame,
the
city's
putting
together
committee
of
interested
residents,
so
you're
all
welcome
to
join
in
and
organizations
to
plan
a
producer,
variety
of
programs
and
activities
for
our
year-long
celebration.
B
Information
regarding
this
year-long
centennial
celebration
is
available
on
the
city's
website.
It
will
be
and
san
bruno
cable-
and
I
hope
you
will
join
me
over
the
year
in
celebrating
segundos
100
years
of
progress
and
although
we
are
kicking
off
our
year-long
centennial
celebration
this
evening
tonight
is
also
dedicated
to
starting
the
holiday
season
by
welcoming
Santa
Claus
to
san
bruno
and
the
annual
tree
lighting.
But
tonight's
tree
litem
is
a
little
different.
B
We
will
include
some
holiday
crafts
for
the
kids
in
the
community
room
pictures
with
Santa
in
the
sled
near
the
rotary
gazebo,
which
will
be
all
lit
up
in
a
few
minutes:
Centennial
cupcakes
and
hot
chocolate,
and
a
special
addition
to
this
year's
program
in
honor
of
the
start
of
centennial
celebration
of
snow
for
children
and
adults
alike.
To
enjoy
it's
right
up
there
on
the
hill,
we
kept
it
quiet
until
now,
so
enjoy
the
snow
and
I'd
like
to
see
a
Santa
Santa
here.
A
A
B
C
Good
evening,
I'm
Carrie
burns
and
I'm
your
interim
Community,
Services
Director
and
we're
here
this
evening
for
the
annual
visit
from
Santa,
Claus
and
tree
lighting.
An
additional
event
this
evening
is
the
kickoff
of
San
Bruno
centennial,
which
will
run
from
December
of
this
year
until
December
of
2014.
But,
as
you
can
hear,
and
probably
see
from
all
the
activity
behind
me,
we
have
Santa
to
my
left.
We
have
snow
to
my
right.
We've
just
lit
the
Christmas
tree
and
we
have
a
lot
of
very
happy
children.
D
So
this
year's
tree
lighting
how
to
do
extra
special
attractions.
We
brought
in
some
snow
over
the
hill.
There
Santa
has
a
sleigh
this
year
to
sit
in.
We
had
some
folks
from
in
period
costume
from
the
san
mateo
county,
historical
society,
as
well
as
a
couple
of
staff
members
to
give
it
a
little
bit
of
a
hundred-year-old
flair.
D
E
My
name
is
Laura
Davis,
I,
mass
and
murder
resident,
my
daughter,
Sarah
and
her
good
friend
Tala,
and
we
are
so
glad
we
came
out
here
tonight
to
celebrate
the
kickoff
for
the
San
Bruno
100th
birthday
centennial.
What
did
an
amazing
evening
tonight?
Turnout
was
enormous.
Santa
came
online,
the
fire
engine
we've
got
cupcakes
and
cookies
and
hot
chocolate,
and
I
think
the
big
hit
tonight
was
the
snow
for
the
kids.
What
a
fabulous
night
you
should
have
been
here.
