Description
San Bruno City Council Meeting August 9, 2011
4. Presentations
B
If
you
do
things
extraordinary,
if
you
provide
tremendous
leadership
that
goes
above
and
beyond
you're
rewarded
and
generally
you're
rewarded
in
those
corporations
with
stock
bonuses,
high
salaries
and
everything
else-
and
we
know
that
doesn't
happen
here.
We
know
that
you
do
what
you
do,
because
you
love
the
community
that
you
represent.
You
love
the
community,
you
live
in
and
it
means
so
much
to
you
and
I
know
it
means.
B
So
much
to
everyone
else
in
the
community
that
you
have
that
feeling
that
compassion,
that
commitment
and
so
I
wanted
in
a
small
way
just
to
come
by
and
and
present
to
each
one
of
you
a
certificate
of
recognition
and
I'd
like
to
read
this
one
small
paragraph
if
I
may
and
it's
for
all
of
the
council
members
and
I'd
love
to
have
just
hand
them
out
to
you
because
of
the
extraordinary
leadership
that
you
exhibited
over
this
last
year
and
mr.
mayor
we've
had
this
conversation
before
and
I.
Think
you
did.
B
B
You
have
guided
the
city
with
a
steady
hand
through
difficult
circumstances
and
on
behalf
of
the
people
of
the
state
of
California
I,
commend
you
for
your
outstanding
service
to
the
community
and
on
this
ninth
day
of
August
2011.
So
if
I
may
present
this
to
mr.
mayor
into
the
members
of
the
council,
because
this
is
it
is
and
truly
was
extraordinary
leadership
on
the
part
of
all
of
you,
and
we
appreciate
that
as
someone
who
lives
in
San,
Mateo,
County
I,
appreciated,
because
we
need
and
appreciate
and
want
that
type
of
leadership.
A
Thank
you
very
much,
just
a
few
quick
words
if
I
may
say
them
right
from
here.
As
Jerry
said,
this
is
a
team
effort,
but
I
want
to
recognize
very
special
members
of
our
team
and
that's
a
city
manager,
Connie,
Jackson
and
all
of
our
staff,
because
we
are
still
doing
a
day-to-day,
very
concerted
efforts
to
to
try
to
take
care
of
this
neighborhood
and
this
city.
We,
as
I
said
before,
will
never
be
the
same
again,
but
hopefully
will
come
out
of
it
much
much
stronger.
So
thank
you
very,
very
much.
