Description
San Bruno City Council Meeting Feb. 28, 2012
10g. Development of Aesthetic Features for CalTrain Grade Separation
A
B
In
the
last
I
will
try
to
be
as
short
as
possible.
I
know
that
you
had
a
very
long
night
in
the
last
10
years,
JPB
and
the
city
work
collaboratively
on
the
development
of
the
great
separation
project,
the
design
concept
incorporated
a
decorative
gateway.
You
know
in
the
city
on
the
east
side
of
the
structure
in
2010,
when
the
design
was
finalized
and
JP
be
needed
to
go
out
for
construction.
B
The
city
agreed
to
let
JP
be
to
go
out
for
construction
and
to
prevent
for
them
to
lose
the
grant
money
for
the
construction
of
the
project,
even
if
this
gateway
wasn't
incorporated
in
the
design
at
that
time.
The
reason
why
the
design
wasn't
incorporated
in
the
Gateway
wasn't
incorporated
in
the
design
was
that
the
2010
alternative
design
was
for
four
tracks
and
the
Gateway
was
incorporated
in
the
design
for
true
two
tracks
to
solve
the
problem.
B
The
city
grid,
to
enter
in
a
mo
in
a
memorandum
of
understanding
with
JP,
be
in
green
agreeing
with
them
to
work
collaboratively
on
the
development
of
a
decorative
gateway
to
develop
solution
and
alternative
and
to
incorporate
in
the
project.
You
agreed
in
last
year
in
August
for
a
financial
cost
share
with
JP
before
this
project.
B
Following
that
financial
agreement,
JPB
and
the
city
went
through
a
selection
process
of
the
consultant,
and
they
very
highly
qualified
team
was
selected
jointly
to
develop
this
decorative
gateway,
hace
enhancement
for
the
entrance
in
our
community
/
community
on
the
east
side
of
the
station
and
now
use
a
public.
The
next
phase
is
a
public
engagement
process.
B
The
consultant
is
test
to
develop
sex
alternative
to
for
two
tracks
and
334
to
tech,
two
tracks
and
three
opportunity
for
four
tracks,
and
then
those
recommendation
will
come
back
for
your
final
decision
sometime
in
May
next
two
months,
the
consultant
team
will
have
two
meetings
with
committee
with
the
community
representative
seeking
that
input
in
the
process.
One
meeting
in
March
and
one
meeting
in
April
I
have
here
Rafael
balloon
the
project
manager
for
the
project.
If
you
have
any
question
both
of
us
can
answer
any.
A
D
So
the
consultants
are
wishing
to
seek
input
from
the
community
and
have
conducted
one
meeting
with
jpv
staff
and
with
city
staff.
It
may
have
actually
been
more
than
one
meeting.
We
also
invited
our
subcommittee,
which
consists
of
the
mayor
and
the
vice
mayor,
who
have
previously
chaired
the
citizen
advisory
committee
and
have
worked
extensively
on
the
grade
separation
project
for
a
number
of
years.
It
was
their
interest
that
we
identify
some
who
might
participate
in
this
very
limited
term
assignment
to
assist
them
in
providing
public
community
input
to
this
design
process.
D
E
E
Open
a
whole
can
of
worms
as
far
as
how
trying
to
explain
the
whole
grade
separation.
At
least
we
are
going
to
be
selecting
individuals
in
the
community
that
have
already
expressed
a
lot
of
expertise
and
baking.
Those
decision
and
no
and
no
the
project
so
and
that's
my
my
biggest
concern-
is
that
these
consultants
don't
beat
this
thing
to
death.
E
B
Say
pretty
scheduled
meeting
up
is
possible
in
the
beginning
of
March
and
one
in
the
middle
of
April
and
the
engagement
will
be
limited
to
those
meeting
and
you
were
provided
with
a
proposal
list
of
number
of
resident
who
can
be
engaged
in
the
process
after
your
decision,
then
the
city
will
contact
those
individual
and
villas
their
participation
for
those
two
meetings.
Okay,.
A
All
right,
we
have
a
short
list
here:
we'd
like
staff,
to
contact
these
individuals
to
make
sure
that
they're
willing
to
help
us
out
here
from
the
grade
separation
committee
we'd
like
to
recommend
doors,
maze,
Rob,
Scarpino
and
Bob
George
and
from
the
transit
corridors
committee,
mr.
Robert,
Rico,
Mike
kharsia
and
mr.
Wang
Parker.
