C
Honorable
mayor
members
of
City
Council,
my
name
is
Tina,
saying
10
does
associate
engineer
with
the
public
services
department,
the
objective
of
the
transit
corridor,
pedestrian
connection
improvement
project
is
to
achieve
the
vision
set
forth
in
the
general
plan,
which
incorporates
the
guiding
principle
of
the
grimoire
initiative
that
you
have
heard
earlier.
This
morn
this
evening
in
general.
The
goal
of
the
project
is
to
improve
transit
connection
and
to
create
a
pedestrian
friendly
environment
that
promotes
walking
and
use
of
public
transit.
C
This
project
intends
to
capture
the
pedestrian
enhancement,
features
that
are
consistent
with
the
grim
palabra
initiative,
the
general
plan
and
the
Trinity
corridor
plan
in
line
with
the
City
Council's
Direction
staff
have
actively
pursue
grant
opportunity
and
the
city
has
a
successfully
obtained
multiple
grants
for
this
project.
Most
recently,
the
city
has
completed
the
first
construction
project,
with
a
federal
grant
to
state
funding.
Funded
grants
are
now
available
to
fund
the
subsequent
phases.
C
These
two
grants
are
five
hundred
thousand
dollars
from
the
Metropolitan
Transportation
Commission
Commission
in
the
safe
routes
to
transit
program
and
350,000
from
the
San
Mateo
County
Transportation
Authority
in
the
main,
a
pedestrian
and
bicycle
program.
There's
a
third
man
opportunity
in
which
the
city
council
authorized
staff
to
submit
an
application.
This
past
July
stab,
will
return
to
the
city
council.
C
There
we
have
assessable
crème
on
san
bruno
avenue
and
el
camino
real,
also
the
wayfinding
signage
on
san
bruno
avenue,
huntington
avenue
and
now
camino,
real
pedestrian
lighting
improvements
and
public
arts
under
the
a380
overpass
at
el
camino,
al
camino,
real
and
finally,
landscape
robots
as
visible
location.
Do
all
these
three
corridors,
that's
highlighted
behind
me.
The
two
grands
do
not
have
local
match
requirements,
however,
both
grunt
do
not
fund
City
overhead
costs.
This
means
that
he
must
fund
the
overhead
costs,
which
is
approximately
15,000.
C
D
Don't
have
any
questions
I'm
just
need
to
make
statement
that
I'm
very
proud
of
where
we're
at
with
this,
because
in
like
8
plus
years
representing
the
city
and
seek
AG
bicycle
and
pedestrian
committee,
we're
seeing
the
both
in
funds.
You
know
force
available
for
cities
to
do
these
types
of
projects
and
to
be
able
to
sit
there
and
you
know
and
have
our
city,
our
city
staff,
make
proposals.
You
know
for
these
grants
and
then
being
recognized
and
actually
praised
and
then
also
seeing
that
the
transit
corridor
plan
goes
hand
in
hand
with
it.
D
Just
makes
it
that
much
easier.
No
two
to
get
these
projects
does
so
complement
staff
and
all
your
hard
work
I
know
there's
still
hard
work,
but
we've
laid
the
groundwork,
and
it's
I
mean
you
got
to
be
proud
that
we
will
be
able
to
have
a
million
dollars.
It's
a
lot
of
money
to
be
able
to
get
from
elsewhere,
I.
E
C
Stabbing
in
be
informed
by
a
different
agency
that
they
will
try
to
execute,
provide
the
agreements
who
has
four
execute
at
the
end
of
this
month,
and
hopefully
we
can
send
everything
back
to
them
early
next
month
and
as
indicating
this
gap,
we
pour
with
that
timeline.
We
can
enter
an
design
stage
early
this
next
year
and
there
in
the
following
fall.
So
basically
for
2014,
we
can
start
construction.
