Description
San Bruno City Council Meeting June 10, 2014
9. Public Comment
A
Item
number
nine
public
comment
and
items
not
on
this
agenda.
It
is
the
council's
policy
refer
matters
raised
in
this
forum
to
staff
for
investigation
interaction
were
appropriate,
the
Brown
Act
prohibits
accounts
from
discussing
or
acting
upon
any
mode,
any
manner,
not
agendized
pursuant
to
state
law.
Anyone
like
to
address
the
council,
mr.
Rico
Robert.
B
Rico
as
your
trusty
to
the
mosquito
district
I
had
a
few
comments
and
before
I
get
into
them.
I
ported
to
the
council
and
city
manager.
This
afternoon
we
got
notice
the
district
put
out
a
press
release
on
june
fourth
of
this
year,
a
bird
that
they
dead
bird,
that
they
collected
in
san
carlos
tested
positive
for
West
Nile
virus.
This
is
the
first
positive
in
san
mateo
county
this
year,
we're
having
our
regular
trustees
meeting
tomorrow.
B
So
I
may
hear
a
little
bit
more,
but
what
I
really
came
to
talk
to
you
about
is
the
cemetery
mosquito
and
Vector
Control
District
met
with
the
4-h
club
on
on
May,
fourteenth
or
vector
ecologist.
They
gave
a
presentation
on
mosquitos
and
I
ported
the
presentation
to
the
to
the
council.
It
was
very
informative.
Had
some
real
good
life
cycle
pitchers
the
boys
club
assists
the
district
with
mosquito
monitoring
by
providing
electrical
power
and
a
protected
location
for
the
New
Jersey
light
trap
up
there,
a
farm
near
Mills
field.
B
This
is
one
of
the
pieces
of
hardware
that
the
district
puts
out
in
various
locations
in
the
in
the
city.
Having
in
the
county
to
collect
mosquitoes,
so
the
4-h
is
again
providing
that
the
district
wants
to
thank
two
for
each
and
the
city
for
their
continued
support
of
the
district's
monitoring
programs.
B
Http
call
forward
slash
forward,
slash
West,

CA

any
of
the
residents
have
the
concerns
here
in
san
bruno,
they
can
call
the
district
up
to
3
4
48,
592
and
anybody
has
any
questions.
I
will
be
happy
to
try
and
get
answers,
and
thank
you
again
for
your
continued
support.
I
know
the
parks
department
is
is
real.
My
words
gung
ho
in
being
eyes
for
us
out
in
the
in
the
community,
so
special
things
to
the
parks
department.
Thank.
C
A
C
A
D
My
name
is
Phil
passarella
and
I
live
at
1620
clairemont,
dr
san
bruno
and
I've
lived
there
for
24
years
approximately
and
actually
grew
up
in
San
Bruno
biscotti
college
I've
been
here
actually
53
years
and
since
I
moved
to
clairemont
dr
about
every
other
year,
or
so
I
live
on
the
canyon,
crest,
more
canyon,
so
every
other
year
or
so.
Whenever
we
had
a
heavy
rain,
I've
always
been
a
little
concerned
about
the
landslide
activity.
D
That's
occurred
and
the
house
that
I'm
in
has
a
history
of
landslide
activity
and
I've
come
to
the
city
a
few
times
and
asked
gosh.
What's
the
plan
for
the
canyon
and
by
the
way
I
apologize
if
some
of
the
stuff
has
already
been
addressed
in
the
past
as
far
as
the
canyon?
But
I
don't
know,
I
don't
know
what
the
future
plan
is
for
the
canyon
and
I'm
in
two
thousand
in
ten.
D
Actually
right
after
the
PG&E
explosion,
fire
I
went
down
to
the
city
to
ask
about
because
of
some
of
the
foliage
that
got
lost.
I
was
concerned
about
increased
landslide
activity
and
and
I
discovered
from
a
neighbor
that
there
was
kind
of
an
independent
report
done
back
in
2007
on
the
canyon
which
I
thought
was
kind
of
interesting,
cuz
I'd,
never
heard
of
it.
I've
lived
there
for
a
long
time,
never
heard
about
it.
D
So
I
made
a
request
to
the
city
attorney
for
this
document
and
I
had
it
mailed
to
me
and
it's
a
pretty
substantial
report
that
outlines
pretty
much
nine
different
priority
sites
within
the
canyon
that
are
at
risk
of
landslides,
and
it
has
my
address
in
there
by
number
and
so
I
was
kind
of
concerned.
That
I
saw
my
own
address
in
that,
and
it
also
gave
kind
of
remediation
sort
of
cost
estimates
and
I
just
don't
know
what
the
city
has
done.
D
D
We
all
easily
criticized
PG&E
for
what
they
knew
or
should
have
known
and
in
a
way
I
think
the
city
of
San
Bruno
is
in
the
exact
same
spot,
because
if
there
was
a
landslide
to
occur
and
if
a
house
happens
to
be
lost
or
a
life
gets
lost,
it
can
look
really
bad
if
nothing
and
so
I
bring
this
to
your
attention.
Just
to
make
sure
that
you
might
know
about
this
report,
if
you
don't
already
I,
don't
have
any
copies
but
I'm
happy
to
make
copies
of
it.
D
A
Think
if
you
talk
to
staff
tomorrow
morning,
call
a
Kerala
city
clerk
shouldn't,
put
you
in
touch
with
Harry
burrows
who's,
our
contact
up
up
at
site
all
the
time,
and
he
can
give
you
all
of
those
documents
with
maps
and
layout
so
to
work
out
some
of
the
final
details.
But
there
is
a
plan
to
serve
us
the
plane
before
they
can
absolutely
absolutely
ok.
Ok,
great!
Thank
you
very
much.
Thank
you.
Anyone
else.
