Description
San Bruno City Council Meeting
October 14, 2014
4b. Recognize Volunteers on Planning Committee for the Centennial Community Day in the Park
A
We
have
a
couple
more
presentations,
so
hang
tight.
Our
second
one
is
to
provide
recognition
to
the
volunteer
planning
committee
for
the
centennial
community
day
in
the
park
in
celebration
of
the
city
centennial.
The
city
held
a
centennial
community
day
in
the
park
and
carnival
on
September
27
2014,
the
event
included.
Children's
rides
games
and
musical
entertainment
was
a
special
day
in
City
Park
and
more
than
2,000
adults
and
children
enjoy
the
activities.
A
The
rides
in
the
entertainment
want
to
recognize
some
of
the
event
sponsors,
artichoke,
Joe's,
casino,
Cory,
Lucia,
ch,
diggit
Aldean,
the
Starion

Club,
and
especially
the
Boy
Scouts,
who
did
the
trash
pickup
all
day
long.
So
thank
you.
All
planning
committee
was
formed
and
a
special
thanks
to
vice
mayor
Rica,
Medina
two-headed
that
planning
committee.
A
I
know
it
was
a
lot
of
work
with
members
of
the
city's
Parks
and
Recreation
Commission
and
community
tasked
with
planning
every
detail
of
the
event
and
members
of
this
planning
committee
were
Laura.
Davis
Dave
Nigel
Greg
Pearce,
Lori,
Greenberg,
Jamie
manos
on
Chris
Gonzalez,
Kirsten,
p'naki,
Russ,
Hanley,
Judy,
puccini
and
Winfred
Jew,
and
I'm
going
to
ask
rico
to
present
some
certificates
now
to
those
people.
There's
a
lot
of
work.
A
lot
of
work.
B
B
I
think
speaking
for
the
the
committee,
first
of
all,
when
I
was
here
at
the
75th
anniversary
as
a
city
employee,
I
will
tell
you
firsthand
without
the
parks
and
the
Recreation
Department
and
staff.
A
lot
of
this
work
in
the
effort
that
you
saw
in
the
27th
would
not
be
possible,
so
I
think
on
behalf
of
the
entire
committee.
B
We
want
to
acknowledge
and
thank
them
for
their
time
and
for
all
the
work
that
they
did,
but
also
personally,
I
want
to
thank
the
committee
that
stands
behind
me
before
we
met
frequently
and
and
more
often
as
it
got
closer
to
the
event
but
you're
talking
about
a
group
of
volunteers
from
this
community
who
have
a
lot
of
heart,
passion
and
pride
in
the
city
that
they
work
and
live
in
and
without
the
folks
behind
me.
This
activity
in
this
event
that
celebrated
San,
Bruno's
100th
anniversary
of
a
community,
would
not
be
possible.
