Good morning and welcome to the San Bruno public library's, livestream, storytime I'm, miss Susan and I'll be doing storytime. Today with you, we're live casting every Tuesday and Thursday at 11:15 a.m. if you'd like reminders. Today, I picked out an ice cream cone I think you can guess why? Because it's so hot it would be really nice to have ice cream on a day like today, especially later in the afternoon, all right got your ice cream cone and we're gonna sing our Welcome song. Okay, you ready.

Today and joining me- and you know, when you come to my story times- we always do the bread and butter song where we get to say hello, so many different ways. The first way that we're gonna say it is very quietly we're gonna whisper. It now whisper allo to each other and then we'll practice our opposites and we'll say it very loudly. Are you ready.

Bread and butter, marmalade and jam- let's say hello as quietly as we.

All right now we have to do it, the opposite of quietly.

We're gonna have to do it loudly, put your hands up high in the air. Shake your hands up high super excited when we, when we do it loudly bread.

Our first book today is called catnip.

By Jacob grant hats like something else that sounds like cat knit catnip, it's an herb that cats really like to play with and eat. But this is yarn.

This book has such a funny dedication. At the beginning, the author.

Has dedicated this book to his brother and it says for brother, my constant friend and occasional headache: I think if you have a brother or sister, you know what that feels like.

Cat and girl had always been good friends.

One day girl brought home a colorful new guest. His name was yarn.

Cat was fascinated by yarn. He had never had.

That is cat, knit all right. We're gonna sing a kitty cat song right now, so to point to yourself: I'm, a little kitty. Cat, nice and sweet here are my whiskers. Your whiskers here are my whiskers. Here are my feet when I go out hunting, mice and here's the sign for mice, wiggle, your nose, wiggle your nose, mice, beware or you might just get a scare, very good. Job with that new rhyme I, like that, alright another pet book today, this is read with permission from Scholastic. It is pig the winner. Actually, it says pig the pug. This is pig. The pug isn't that a funny name for a pug pig pig, the winner by aran blady.

It was a pug I'm, sorry to say if.

He didn't come first, it would ruin his day. Yes, he was a winner. He just had to win and nothing would stop him. Oh, where to begin.

Believe it or not, he was quite hard to beat and the reason was simple. Yes, pig was a cheat.

Look, he put his paw on Trevor's nose.

He did lose, he would throw a pink fit he'd scream and he cried. He just wouldn't quit he'd sob and he'd sulk with a quivering chin. Til. You gave up and said to him. Okay, you win.

But as soon as you said it he clap, and he said and he'd rub it in loudly that he was the champ.

Was not a very nice winner.

Trevor would say to him: let's just have some fun, but Pig would reply.

It ain't fun, til, I, won.

So one night at supper, Pig shouted with glee who can eat faster. I bet that it's me Trevor said: shyly I, don't want a race, but Pig had yelled go and was stuffing his face.

He wolf down his food. He doubled his kibble. His piece was awash with biscuits and dribble. He jumped up three sausages, all of them whoppers and that he munched through his doggy, treats.
